an Prionsa dubh: Edward was still driving the rental, and as rentals went it was top of the line, a Mercedes GLE SUV, it wouldn't he held onto long, simply because he had something else in mind, but that's what he pulled up to Sawyer's home this cloudy Tuesday morning. Stepping from the vehicle, he headed up the walk to the door, and gave a ring of the bell. Hands clasping behind his back, he glanced about the neighborhood, taking in the, at this hour, quiet streets. Come summer that would be no more, of that he was certain.
Sawyer E Monroe: She had been ready early, which was a bit uncommon for the time-flippant blonde. But she was excited! And the few extra minutes gave her time to text Dare. Nibbling on her glossed lip as she conversed through text, the ring of the doorbell had her attention. Phone plopped in purse, check of self in the mirror on the way and viola! Soon enough she was pulling open the door and just paused, half a second of stillness before her smile was in full bloom. "Good Morning..." Stepping out, the door pulled closed behind her. –d
an Prionsa dubh: Turning as the door opened, Edward smiled as his eyes moved over her. When his gaze returned to hers, his smile grew. "You look radiant." He took her hand, bringing it to his lips, a kiss pressed to her fingers before he tucked her hand into the crook of his arm. "Shall we?"
Sawyer E Monroe: Her hand went to his as she stepped toward him, that bright smile warm as her touch. Just couldn't help the way her blue eyes drank him in. "Thank you, you are quite the vision as well" Her hand in the crook of his arm, the other up and resting at his bicep as she nodded to his question to head for that rental. Her smile lingering as she inquired along that short distance. "Have you been by to see Alex and Adrienne yet?" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Sadly I have been quite the poor relation. I shall have to call upon them this evening." Day three in town and he'd not been to see his family. Yes he was horrible. "I did, however begin my house hunt. There are a few prospects that I should like to take a look at." At the car he opened the door for her, and took her hand to help her in.
Sawyer E Monroe: Unwinding her touch from his arm to hold his hand, she slinked into the passenger side, A flash of leg still modest enough, tucking the purse by her feet. She waited though, as not to keep him standing about, til he was climbing in before she spoke again. "I'm sure that you'll not be chided for enjoying your stay in the city...especially if it brings you to finding a house" A quiet laugh laced in her words "I’m glad to hear you are finding something you like in Seattle. " –d
an Prionsa dubh: Once she was safely tucked in, Edward rounded the car to slid in behind the wheel. Starting the car, he nodded. "I'm finding a good deal in Seattle that I like." he smiled at her and then pulled away from the curb, heading downtown. "How was your dinner?" He had to ask, and the amused smile he gave her was punctuated by the mischief in his eyes. "I do hope he wasn't put off by my presence." He looked over at her. "For your sake, not his."
Sawyer E Monroe: She bit her lower lip in an effort- and failed one- to not blush or laugh. His mention of the date made her almost groan, however. "It is probably very crass to talk to you about another man. And it would've been spectacular, other than the fact he kept mentioning feelings, relationships, where we might be headed. I don't know if he lied to me from the start, hoping to change my mind, or if he slipped in a puddle of hell no and got a case of feelings along the way. And the *pride* Gods. He ..." She stopped and sighed "Sorry, this is still just new and rattling around in my thoughts" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "If I had not wished to know, I would not have asked." Edward chuckled. "And I can fully understand how some can get ... clingy." He shrugged. "I was involved with a woman who was quite intent on hanging on, no matter what. It was quite enervating."
Sawyer E Monroe: "I’m not against various forms of commitment, whatever people choose to make them happy. I simply know I don't want that with him. I found him handsome, I wanted someone to adore me without trying to smother me. It's selfish, I know it. But I warned him...I'm not the girl that plays coy. If I want something, I try my damnedest to have it. " Laughing softly, she reached over giving his arm a light touch. "I think we forgot to put unwanted assumptions on our dislike list" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Yes, it would seem so." Chuckling, he smiled at her, as they neared the market and the prowl for a parking place began. "There are several good places to eat, It's just a matter of what we want." Finding a place, he pulled in, and parked the car. Stepping out he adjusted his suit coat and rounded the car, opening Sawyer's door and offering his hand to help her out.
Sawyer E Monroe: She enjoyed the ride, but Mr. Hat would be left in the car. Just in case the wind was brisk, she didn't want to be chasing it through the market! Hand in his, she eased out of the car, free hand smoothing the skirt of her dress. "mmm, something with a lot of carbs, I'm famished" A wink toward him, slipping her hand in the crook of his arm again "Bacon...biscuits.. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" Blue eyes on him she grinned "What food do you like...other than maybe O positive" Brat? Sometimes! –d
an Prionsa dubh: She should place Mr. Hat on the wheel and snap a picture of him. Could be quite amusing. "Well there's two places that topped the list of the highly rated. The Crumpet Shop, and..." And here his lips twitched upward. "Biscuit Bitch. It seems they specialize in biscuits and gravy."
Sawyer E Monroe: Oh that was so going to happen! Hatrick..Hatfield? Ah, he needed a name! None the less, breakfast awaited! "As a southerner, I am naturally suspicious of crumpets" That grin was just mischievous as hell "Okay, so not really. But the Biscuit Bitch sounds good...." She broke into a bubble of laughter. "Sorry, I kind of like hearing you say that, I have no idea why" –d
an Prionsa dubh: Laughing, he led her onward, the smile lingering as they made their way through the market and around to the restaurant. "I have to admit, it's quite endearing when you say it." He tucked her hand into the crook of his arm once more, keeping her to the inside of the walk as they strolled. "I would imagine, being from the south, you would have a very discerning pallet when it comes to biscuits and gravy."
Sawyer E Monroe: There was color creeping into her cheeks, wayward thoughts the culprit! "I have a vicious tongue and colorful vocabulary. I’m glad you think it is endearing to hear it at the moment though" Amused, she strolled along with him, feeling quite like she were in her own little paradise, not...the market. "Mmmhmm, you learn that no place in a restaurant gets it quite like homemade does. It's probably one of the first things a Southern girl learns to cook. But, if the smells drifting through here are any indication, I don't think we'll be disappointed" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "I think you are quite right." Leading her into the establishment, it was small, but the smells that came from it were indeed mouthwatering. Once they were in, Edward pulled her chair out for her, and once she was seated, he took his own, and then he looked over at the menu. "They’ve quite a bit of variety in their biscuits and gravy."
Sawyer E Monroe: So ..they were over dressed for the place? Possibly. But she was feeling 50 shades of fabulous and he was looking it! A murmur of thanks as he assisted her with the chair, legs crossing as she took up the menu. A brow arched and laughter surfaced. "Well,...this is quite the selection. Mmm..The Smoking Hot Seattle Bitch sounds yummy though" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "That actually does sound quite good." He chuckled and settled his menu aside and when the waitress came over, he smiled. "We'll have two of the Smoking Hot Seattle Bitches, and coffee. One with cream." He looked back at Sawyer, studying her. Yes they were over dressed, but that never stopped him before.
Sawyer E Monroe: She just envisioned that to be an order Alec would make from a college dorm for a house party. Her lips twitched at the notion, absently brushing back a whisp of hair slipped free of the braid. "What sort of charities do you like to invest in?" Random question perhaps, but she had been pondering it! –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Doctors Without Borders, Reach Out World Wide, ISF, and a few other medical endeavors. I've been fortunate enough to travel to some of the places in need. It was quite exhilarating, and most assuredly eye opening."
Sawyer E Monroe: "I tend to find myself donating to children's organizations, foster institutions, scholarships, things like that. Do you prefer the medical organizations due to...well, the things you went through in the past?" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Well, medical advances are necessary. There's a good deal of suffering. I myself suffered from ailments for a good ten years before...." he waved a hand. "I fell ill in '66 and never quite recovered." Not until a priest came to give him his last rites. And then he was officially dead, his ascension to the throne a lost endeavor. "My health saw a brief upturn in '70, but that was short lived. My trip to France was canceled. I tried once more in '72 but the weather was quite uncooperative. After that, my health declined drastically."
Sawyer E Monroe: She watched him with bright eyed interest, even if a bit somber. Despite knowing he was ..here, fine, technically speaking, the idea of him gravely ill made her quite sad. "I’m sorry you had to suffer through all that. I’ve only been ill once and it wasn't ..well, it was an inflicted sort of thing, not genuinely sick. ..Being changed. Is that what ..Well I don't know if I should say cured you, but seeing that you appear whole and hearty, ..you are okay now?" She'd never thought to ask if vampires could get sick..or if turning cured them of ailments. So much to learn! –d
an Prionsa dubh: "It did." Edward nodded as he regarded her. "It was the priest, who did it. And I might add, at Alex's behest." He shrugged. "I will admit to being not as steadfast as the hour of my death approached as I would have liked. After everything I had seen and done, it just seemed like such a waste, and yet... in the end, I still had to give it up. Sans those things I managed to bequeath to myself, prior to the official 'end'." Edward shrugged. "But given the choice, I gladly took it. And despite all my despair over what I had done, once I had done it, I, quite obviously, got over myself and adapted."
Sawyer E Monroe: The waitress came about with their breakfast and coffee, Sawyer quietly listening other than the brief offer of thanks to the waitress before she left. Fingers curled around the mug and she lifted a hand to his chest with the other, lightly brushing against the curve of cheekbone with her thumb, a soft smile on her lips. "Remind me to thank Alex for his problem solving skills. " Little did she know, that while they were settling in for breakfast amongst the mill of people outside of those big glass windows, there was a figure in the distance taking note. "And I am quite glad you got over yourself" Smirk! Just a tease as her hand began to lower.-d
an Prionsa dubh: Chuckling, he nodded. "It took a while, I was quite morose...." Edward paused. "The most difficult thing was letting Joan go." He reached for his coffee cup, taking it in hand and lifting it partway, his other hand catching Sawyers on its back down to the table. "I could not; however be so selfish as to force her to remain with me. Not after so many years of my being ill and there was no way to account for my recovery." He shook his head. "I had to walk away."
Sawyer E Monroe: "I’ve not found that..." Her hand curled in his, settling comfortably on the table between them. "I think I had so many people go away when I was younger that it was an expected eventuality that goodbye is just part of the hello. " A slight chuckle in the mix of her grin, lifting her coffee for a sip before continuing. "I didn't always embrace the notion, but Ive come to terms with it. I think, actually, having everyone I call friend be afflicted with long life spans has actually helped me embrace the idea of living my limited time with less regret, less hampering my idea of limits or boundaries. It's a gift I don't think they know they've given me. While I don't know what you went through in walking away… it's nice to see you carry a part of her with you, regardless of that" –d
an Prionsa dubh: Nodding, he smiled. "She remarried. Her first husband, whom she'd married young she did not have royal consent to do so...." Edward paused, "Persons of a certain rank, had to gain royal consent in order to marry. So between that and the fact that she was but twelve at the time, her family did what they could to cast the marriage aside." He shrugged. "When she passed, rather than being interred next to my tomb, she chose to be interred with Holland." Lifting his cup, he took a drink, and then set the cup down.
Sawyer E Monroe: "Life was very different then...well, from what I remember of books and tales. She sounds very free spirited,, hard to contain to those rules set in place for her" Her thumb lightly brushed across his fingertips, smiling softly. "I wonder if she knew that your tomb was empty and simply wished to not be alone. Then again, I am prone to creative imagination getting away from me. Try not to let anyone know, but I do have a bit of a romantic streak" Humor warmed her gaze and the curve of her lips. "But Holland is one of the names in the far reaches of my family history, I found. So perhaps your idea I bear some likeness isn’t too farfetched. " –d
an Prionsa dubh: Edward blinked at that, one brow rising. "I.... never considered that as a possibility." It was a soothing concept. When Sawyer mentioned she had Hollands in her family history, Edward chuckled. "It would explain a good deal . Now perhaps we can discern if Decimus is any relation." That would be odd, though Edward was not certain which would be odder. Having him related or not.
Sawyer E Monroe: "Look at the bright side. Any relation I have to your family tree is so far diluted that I don't have to ask the Pope if I may make love with you." She gave him a cheeky grin and a toast of her mug in playful delight before her laughter won over. –d
an Prionsa dubh: Chuckling, he nodded. "True, though I don't think I would be asking anyone's permission but your own. And I am sure the Pope will not need to be consulted on the matter of marriage, blood diluted and all that."
Sawyer E Monroe: "And how does a prince propose marriage? A tiara, a ring, or does he invade a small country and throw a party?" A bite to her lip and the mock expression of decision making. "Mmmm" Letting lip go, she added "Such hard choices" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Well, since I no longer have an army at my command, I think invading a country is out of the question. I think a ring would suffice. The tiara we can leave for the ceremony." he smiled, his cup lifted and yes, his gaze dropped to her mouth as she nibbled her lip. It was reflex.
Sawyer E Monroe: She offered a pout, well hell, she tried to, but it was a smile no sooner than she'd begun and laughter along with it. "That sounds fair. Though I have my quirks, I might insist on you calling me Princess" Well hell, at least when she was naked, that's not too much to ask, is it? The hilarity of it amused her and his hand was given a light squeeze. "At least you've maintained your sense of humor" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "One must." he chuckled, the squeeze to his hand returned in kind. "I do believe we've started something here." Chuckling, he motioned for the check. "Why don't we go see the sights, hm? Or...." Edward paused as he added. "We could start looking at houses. See where I will be living here in Seattle."
Sawyer E Monroe: She was trying to think of where they might go...and then his mention of houses made her smile "That sounds both fun and productive. Selfish motivations, of course, I like the idea of you being here" She finished the last sip of coffee before the mug was set aside. "I’m excited to see your future home!" Maybe, if he found one! –d
an Prionsa dubh: Edward smiled, and lifted a hand to call for the check. Once that was taken care of, he rose, his hand held out for hers. I like that you like the idea of my being here." he grinned, and tucked her hand into the crook of his arm. "Let's see what we can find, shall we?"
Sawyer E Monroe: Purse gathered, she rose with him, comfortably tucking her arm in his. She liked the excuse to be close to him, which was a different sort of thing for her. Closeness, she liked, yes absolutely. But not for the reasons she found herself enjoying now. His scent, the flecks of amber in his brown eyes, to see the minute twitch of his lips when amused. It wasn't to feel touch - though that was nice- it was all the other reasons she discovered. "You said you wanted plenty of property...what about inside the house, any specifics you'd like to have?" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Warmth. There's nothing I loathe more in a dwelling than a cold, austere environment. How people live in houses that are all white is beyond me. It completely strips the place of all character and is rather off putting." He smiled as they walked back toward the car, and once more he kept her on the inside of the walk.
Sawyer E Monroe: Just past the crowd, pictures were being taken, the whir-click of a long range camera capturing an unwitting blonde and her date of the day. Strolling along with him, Sawyer grinned a bit at his answer. "That's why I picked where I live, I love color on the walls, little touches. I was lucky, Alec handled the whole thing, I just sent him a check. I like walking in and knowing that the rainiest, blah, do nothing day can be spent content in the home if I so wish. You can’t do that in white walls" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "White walls would drive one to open a can of paint and simply throw it." Let it fall where it may. Edward pulled his key fob with that ugly rental tag on it, and unlocked the car. Opening Sawyer's door, he paused, looking around, but seeing nothing out of the ordinary, he smiled, his hand taking hers to help her settle within.
Sawyer E Monroe: "Now that can be fun....well, maybe a body paint twister, but the fumes of house paint can ruin a good time" Teasing lightly, she looked over his features as he glanced around. But instead of questioning, she merely lifted a hand to touch his cheek before holding his hand and settling in the car. Smoothing her skirt before taking up *her* hat and dropping it on her head. –d
an Prionsa dubh: Edward smiled at her with that touch of her hand to his cheek, and once she was settled within, he closed the door and rounded the car to slide in behind the wheel. He took a moment to pull up the listing on the first house and then he called the realtor to let him know they were on their way. Once that was done, he checked traffic and backed out of the spot he was in. "He shall meet us there." Smiling, he reached over and gave her hand a gentle squeeze, before he headed for the first house on the list.
Sawyer E Monroe: She was...relaxed. Despite knowing she would likely have a messy situation to go home to - for her plans to evacuate the professor were now solid in her mind - she was without the first inkling of stress or worry in this moment. The squeeze of her hand was returned and the comfortable distance led her to leave her hand lightly on his thigh. "Fantastic" Her response to the news from the realtor and a hum of excitement slid through her. "So..you like the outdoors, you loathe being cooped up, you once had an army, not so much at the moment.." A brief, if not playful sum of topics "Tell me more" It was softly spoken, she wasn't breaking out the rusty tweezers and spotlight! –d
an Prionsa dubh: "After my turning I spent a good deal of time warring with myself. I saw that I had the potential to become an absolute bastard and there were things I had done in life that I had no desire to repeat in my... renewed life. So I locked myself a way for a good while, kept to myself, and waited out the war. The priest who turned me, remained for a time, teaching me how to feed without killing, how to use my new found abilities." Edward smiled, comfortable with her hand on his thigh.
Sawyer E Monroe: She watched him, comfortable where she was, listening to him speak. "Alec has mentioned that all vampires have different gifts...abilities. Is it rude to ask what you gained in the changing?" A nose wrinkle and cheesy grin "I 'm still new to the discovery, so I try not to be too prodding in my questions, but I am curious. Not to mention I find it a bit sad you were alone, I understand your desire for it, but it does make me wish there was some way to ease that solitude, no matter how long ago it was" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "There are enhanced physical attributes that pretty much all vampires acquire: speed, agility, strength, vision, hearing... But too there are mental abilities. The ability to read thoughts. To impose one's will on another. To in some small way, control the elements, create a fog to disguise one’s presence, to in some, control animals. Some find that animals will shy away from them, once turned, but I believe it has more to do with the underlying personality of the vampire. Animals can sense an asshole, human or otherwise." He looked over at her and smiled.
Sawyer E Monroe: She touched the tip of her tongue to the cupid's bow of her upper lip, turning at least three shades of red. -ahem- "Soo...can you read thoughts?" Her blue eyes oh so curiously resting on him. Because if he could, she wasn’t sure if she was embarrassed, or delighted that if he had, he was still here! ha! Perspective, it's all in perspective! –d
an Prionsa dubh: Edward chuckled, as he regarded her. "Can and do, are two entirely different things. I could, yes, delve into your thoughts and learn things about you that you may or may not want me to know. I prefer to get to know you, however, the old fashioned way, through conversation and observation."
Sawyer E Monroe: She couldn't help the laughter, giving his thigh a light squeeze "Sorry, it's just a very unorganized space up there, you might get frightened and run off. It takes me hours to find a song on a jukebox, months to decide if I want to cut my hair, and yet I will make a life choice without breaking a sweat. I will tell you this, however: Anything you ask, I will give an honest answer, even if I may be prone to avoiding questions when it suits me" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "And I shall be as open as a book for you. Anything you wish to know, simply ask...." Edward paused, a scowl forming as he regarded the potholed street. "This is started to remind me of New York... The street that is, not the scenery..." He managed to get off of 14th and onto ward, pulling in before the garage and parking next to the realtor who was waiting for them.
Sawyer E Monroe: "Mmm...I do like books" Lightly spoken, and a bit amused at his scowl, probably not the correct response to someone annoyed. "You've been alive through famine, war, the rise and fall of kings..and yet pot holes give you reason to scowl...can't say I mind it, you look rather appealing when you are annoyed" A gesture of her hand to the realtor. "That's the one, I assume?" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "According to the listing, it is indeed." Edward smiled and stepped from the vehicle, pulling an umbrella from the back seat and opening it before rounding the ass of the car to open Sawyer's door; his hand offered out for hers. Once she was out, he would tuck her arm into the crook of his arm, that which held the umbrella, and then offer his hand to the realtor as he approached. "A good day to house hunt." Motioned the man to show them the way, the man started extolling the virtues of the property as he led them inward.
Sawyer E Monroe: There was a little smile on her lips by the time he was around and opening the door. Stepping out, she was happily tucking her hand in his arm and moving forward. "Yes, it is" That in response to the realtor, before quieting and taking in all the merits of the house. She had to remind herself not to look overly excited, say nothing, etc etc. Which, was easier than she thought merely based on it being a house for him. There was much to oo and ahh over in general though! –d
an Prionsa dubh: Edward was impressed, not just with the grounds but with the house itself. He took in everything the man said, as they prowled the manse, and then he turned to the man once they were again back downstairs. "Do give us a moment if you will." He smiled to the man and once the realtor had stepped away to give them some privacy, he looked at Sawyer. "What do you think? I'm rather taken with it, and I realize buying the first house you view is the worst thing you could do but I really don't see a need to continue, do you?"
Sawyer E Monroe: She damn near lost her mind over the pink office. She almost had a fear he'd want to change it if he purchased it, which was his right, of course, but she'd take a million pictures of it before! She did snap a picture in the bedroom after pleading she just wanted a moment to look more. Ha! Take that Alec! It couldn't be helped really. The bathroom, she bit her lower lip to keep from uttering a word! The bar...damn good (or bad) thing Edward wasn't reading her mind where that delicious bit of glory was concerned! All in all, she kept contained and once alone, she turned to him. Her smile lit up, her hand lifting lightly to touch his cheek as she spoke. "It's amazing. And if you find something the first outing, consider it a good omen, not a faulty choice. Everything in this house...is perfection. If you love it, you should take it without hesitation" –d
an Prionsa dubh: Covering her hand with his, he smiled and then pressed a kiss to her palm. "Let's give him the news, shall we?" Tucking her hand once more into the crook of his arm, he headed off in the direction the realtor went, and when the caught up to him, he looked about once more. "The asking price is a bit steep but I will give you five - eight for it, and financing will not be an issue so you can spare yourself that inconvenience. I shall simply have a draft drawn from my bank in London."
Sawyer E Monroe: His smile warmed her from head to toe and she nodded with excitement at his question. She couldn't help it - this meant he wasn't fleeting...he was staying! She whispered excitedly "Your new home, how exciting!" She almost giggled, almost, she couldn't resist! But she managed to stamp it down to a delighted smile, her arm curled in his as they were once again moving to the realtor. It was fitting, this was the perfect home for a prince and she could imagine him here with great ease. –d
an Prionsa dubh: The realtor started pulling out paperwork and explaining it all, and Edward just let him roll as he reaching into his inner breast pocket and pulled his phone. He scrolled through his contacts, made the call to the bank to have the payment arranged and once done, he signed the forms the realtor laid out for him. "I trust this can all be taken care of in a most expedient manner?" he glanced up to the man, one brow rising. No compulsion used, simply that commanding air that had damned well better see it done.
Sawyer E Monroe: Sawyer just sort of wanted to kiss him, right then and there. Sue her, she was turned on by a commanding presence and a no bullshit attitude. Every girl had her quirks! She leaned her head over, just resting her temple to his shoulder. Not wanting to wander off, but having nothing to add to the conversation other than the amused way she watched the Realtor practically salivate to make this happen. Commission...someone was going to go on a cruise, for sure! –d
an Prionsa dubh: Edward slid the paperwork back over to the man, and shook his head. "I trust you will leave the keys with me." Tapping the surface of the table on which he'd signed the documents, he smiled to the man and then looked around once more. "Yes, I do think this is going to be quite comfortable." he smiled at Sawyer, and then pulled her into his arms as the realtor hesitated, and then left the keys on the table, before taking his leave.
Sawyer E Monroe: "Thank you for your assistance" A polite smile to the realtor, straightening once he had to sign papers and handle business. But once it was over and she was being pulled into his arms, she smiled brightly. Her arms up and around his shoulders, content to slink an arch of spine to rest against the solid wall of his chest. "Welcome to Seattle, Edward" Her blue eyes searching his before leaning in to take a soft, curious kiss from his lips, almost asking per permission to do so. –d
an Prionsa dubh: That questioning kiss was given a tease, his hand sliding up her back, cupping the back of her head as his tongue teased. His other arm tightened around her, holding her to him, as he sought entry past those lips to tangle his tongue with hers. The realtor? Edward had already forgotten him, and cared not if the man saw them as he left the house.
Sawyer E Monroe: Her hands, one locked into his hair, the other sliding over his broad shoulder and along his chest. He answered her question and so it was she gave in to the want. Lips parting, tongue meeting his to stroke and taste with enthusiastic greed. Sable lashes fell low, eyes closed and the softest moan caught in her throat. She'd wanted to kiss him the moment she met him, having the chance to do so now, Sawyer was taking her sweet time and enjoying the feel and flavor that was him. –d
an Prionsa dubh: Edward explored teased, tasted, his hand at her back slid downward, cupping and pulling her closer as that kiss continued. She was warm, vital, vibrant and as he held her, his mouth exploring her own, a sudden hunger rose. His head lifted, eyes on hers, and then he took a step back. "That... we shall continue at a later time." he smiled to her, one hand lifting to cup her face, his thumb brushing her cheek and then across the fullness of her lip. Damned if he didn't want to taste those lips again, but there was only so much control a man could manage.
Sawyer E Monroe: He tasted like whiskey felt, warm and strong, familiar and intoxicating. He pulled her close and one kneed bent almost hugging to the outside of his within the constraints her dress would allow. She was thriving on the slick feel of his tongue against her own, the hand in his hair fisting holding tight in her effort not to just push him to the nearest wall. But then he was pulling back and there was air again. Kiss flushed lips still parted and her eyes not quite focused until a blink… or two… had passed. Her hands silkily slid to his chest, gaining her footing and taking a single step back. She did nothing more than stare at him for the span of a moment, but once she had the ability of mind to manage, she gave a quick nod, blonde hair swaying with the movement. A bite drawing in her lower lip savoring the taste there before she offered him a soft smile. She reached for his hand, stepping inward again, a nuzzle to his cheek, fingers lacing with his as her lips pressed against his jaw, a kiss, then a whisper. "I look forward to later" –d
an Prionsa dubh: Dear God the look of her almost had his resolve crumbling, and as she stepped in and nuzzled into him, he leaned into the press of her lips, his arms going around her once more. "Make no mistake...." He lifted his head to look at her. "I would like nothing more than to have you, here and now. But I also want there to be more to it. And for that reason, and that alone, do I hesitate."
Sawyer E Monroe: She could curl up and be content as a fat cat with the way his arms curled around her. Her own slinking around his shoulders against as she lifted her head to meet his gaze. A slight head tilt, studying him. Never ask a question you are not prepared to have the answer to. She lived by that. She also knew what she was prepared for and what she was not. Thus...she asked him. "Is that a vague 'more' of unknown measurement? Or do you know exactly what you want, Edward? Hesitation is appreciated, you taking the lead in not dragging us into something without the same goal in mind. But if you have a goal...well, I would like to know. " –d
an Prionsa dubh: "I told you, that when we do fall into bed, I will be making love to you, not just appeasing my lust. And as much as I want to bury myself in you, I am not there yet. And I'm pretty certain you are not either.“ He cupped her face between his hands, a tender kiss placed to her lips, before he cradled her to him. "I don't want to rush the possibility of us."
Sawyer E Monroe: She leaned up and brushed her lips to his in that tender kiss, smiling softly "Fair. " The only word she gave him and a mischievous grin ta boot! A playful nip to his lips before mumbling against them. "I just want to do one little thing before we go" Laughing softly she eased away from him and to the entry table where the realtor had left the pen and copy of documents. She tore an edge off the corner of useless 'welcome to the open house' stationary and leaning over the table, jotted something down. Pen clicked and placed aside, she folded it up into a small square. "Does your phone have a case on it?" If yes, she would grin and hold her hand out for it. If not, she would reach for her own. Mischievous Sawyer is mischievous! –d
an Prionsa dubh: Chuckling, he pulled his phone with its Symmetry case and offered it out to her. "And just what is this exercise." Amusement lit his eyes as he watched her and yes, no small amount of curiosity. "So, is this some sort of treasure hunt to be taken up at a later date?" He smiled as he regarded her.
Sawyer E Monroe: She laughed softly and took his phone when offered. "Well, you are a man of your word. So, I am asking for it now" She held up the square and looked to him. "I am going to put this in your phone case, and you will leave it there untouched. When you have decided, good or bad, what your feelings are, I want you to open it and read it. Be it a day, a year, or who knows when. Deal?" And a wink "And no sexy vampy tricks to know the contents either. It is a sort of treasure hunt and your decisions are the key. " Wiggle of paper...would he agree, or would she tuck it in her purse?-d
an Prionsa dubh: Smiling, he nodded. "I have to say I am insanely curious, but agreed. I promise I shall not open it until the proper moment." The whole thing was amusing, and still, he was horribly curious as to what she'd written.
Sawyer E Monroe: A delighted nod and she opened his case from the phone, tucking the paper in before securing it all together once more. A few steps closer and she kissed him with playful nibbled, sliding his phone back into his hand. "Mmm there you go. Now ...do you have to be in love for kisses?" She was an ass, really, it was part of her charm! –d
an Prionsa dubh: Her ass was definitely a charm. Edward smiled, a slight shake of his head given before it lowered, his lips brushing hers, questing, before deepening the kiss. He was playing with fire, he knew it, but the temptation was there.
Sawyer E Monroe: Ah she loved that kiss, the question answered with a soft moan, parting lips to have more of him. She thought she would be able to control herself if she simply held to his sides. Well, it was a thought at least, merely a hold to be right against him, suckling, tongue taunting kiss that had her knees damn near weak and butterflies in flight once again. -d
