Victoria HoImes: After a jaunt in Europe, Victoria somehow managed to find herself back at this cesspool known as Stix. She was a glutton for punishment, apparently. With her emerald crocodile skin, ungodly priced Birkin hanging from the crook of her arm, the pale socialite slipped from the back seat of the Rolls Royce and stepped inside once her driver held the door open for her. Her hair was twisted up into an elegant twist so that she could show off her dress's embroidered shoulders, but one errant strand was slipping downward but tucked behind her ear as she made her way to the bar.
Sawyer E Monroe: She had already been to the Vipond's CT home and rigged up the security and FurCam's in a couple of days, now back home for a day before she was going off again. Thanks to the A's gift of travel, she'd gotten plenty of sleep on the plane and hadn't suffered too much in the time change drama. Blonde hair in a halo braid, the white with blue floral dress the woman looked...well, much as she usually did. Already perched on a stool, glass in front of her and phone in hand, looking at the Goat Cam feed as she assured herself for the 20th time it was all running properly. Seeing Jorge move to grab a bottle of familiar booze, Sawyer looked over her shoulder at Victoria and a smile crept to her lips. "Hello, lovely. Glad to see you" Greeting her as she shut off the phone screen. -d
Victoria HoImes: "Not so fast, darling." Holding her hand up to Jorge. "I'll have your best red." She was in a wine mood this evening. A genuine smile touched her lips at the sight of Sawyer and she leaned in to kiss her cheeks. "Sawyer, dearest, you look exquisite. And the fact that you're here is all the more wonderful." Glowing praise indeed from the ice queen!
Sawyer E Monroe: The look on Jorge's face.....confusion, then same as always, the Irishman complied. Her smile warmed, a hand lightly to her arm as she leaned up to return the cheek kisses. "I've missed you. And thank you. That color was made for you, give me at least ten minutes to be envious" And yes, the Ice Queen bestoweth much favor and praise! "I was hoping to catch you before I head off to Italy, so now tonight is a success" –d
Victoria HoImes: "Likewise, dearest. It's been absolutely dull without you." Taking up the stool beside Sawyer, she crossed her knees neatly, smoothing out the flared skirt of the dress. "Italy?" Eyebrow lift. "You are quite the jet setter these days, aren't you?"
Sawyer E Monroe: "Dull? And here I assumed I was the most uninteresting person you know" A bit of a smile played on her lips, Jorge soon bringing Victoria the wine she requested. "Not quite jet setter. I'm veeery fortunate that I have a bit of technical knowledge " full on gadget geek "and some security knowledge " sometime-reformed thief "So, I am getting to bop around and install security for the Vipond's. This trip is more of a pleasure trip though. Taking pictures, getting details of what to do. I'll be back to my stationary and ever-present self eventually. But what've you been doing, traveling?" –d
Victoria HoImes: Her eyes rolled at the mention of Vipond, but didn't comment. Instead she sipped her wine while listening to Sawyer. "Yes, I've been at my estate in Sweden. A little mini retreat, if you will." She looked rather rejuvenated, so it clearly did her some good. "Well, I'm glad you've found something to keep you so occupied. Even if it is working for that twit." Okay, so much for that not commenting.
Sawyer E Monroe: Sawyer had to bite her lower lip to try and hold back the amusement she felt at the eyeroll. Lifting her glass of Tequila Mockingbird for a sip. "Sweden? Again, I'll need about ten minutes to be hopelessly jealous. " Laughing softly, she inclined her head in agreement. "It was a fantastic trip, and with Alec coming to Italy along with me this time - Im looking forward to it even more. And I still don't understand why you think Vipond is a twit - he's... nice" Hard to describe him really, he was like a big brother personality. Oh wait, there, she just answered her own question. Victoria didn't do nice. Still, had her grinning. AH! SHE MISSED HER. Ok, mental gush of affection mildly displayed by a mischievous sparkle in those blue eyes. "He's letting me fly on his personal jet..soo...there's that" GRIN! There were a lot of reasons she liked the Vipond's but she didnt want to see Vic puke. –d
Alec R Sutton: The day had been one spent in the warm sunshine, but with the advent of evening, the skies had clouded over and the rain once more made itself known, which meant when he rolled into the lot at Stix, his top was up. Parking the classic Camaro where he could see it from the bar, thanks the wall of glass that was the bar's front, Alec headed inside. "And look who it is. Queen Victoria. Long live the Queen!" Smirking he headed for the bar, dropped a kiss to Sawyer's cheek and yes, he knew he was taking his life into his own hands, but Victoria got one as well, just so he could watch her bow up and hiss like a pissed off cat.
Victoria HoImes: "Exactly. He's just so..." She waved her hand dismissively, as if trying to figure out the right word and failing. Instead she retched. Or at least, mimicked it. "And his music is God-awful." Oh, hey, speaking of God-awful retch-inducing vampires... Victoria simply smirked, swaying slightly with the kiss. Hissy claws were kept in, thank you. "Alec."
Alec R Sutton: Leaning back he regarded her for a long moment before that smirk bloomed full once more. "Either your warming up to me, or you're distracted by someone you hate more." up to me, or you're distracted by someone you hate more."
Sawyer E Monroe: Aww, the Alec had arrived! The kiss to cheek returned and she motioned to Jorge to get his attention. "Hello, Handsome. And I just mentioned the name Vipond, so she's in a state of disgust" –d
Alec R Sutton: Smirking, Alec looked from Sawyer back to Victoria. "So what did Alex do this time to piss you off? Save a kitten from a tree? A bus load of nuns?"
Sawyer E Monroe: And to note, Sawyer was entirely pleased with life at the moment. "Giving jet rides to the termially untraveled" GRIN. Withheld the 'boo-ya point to self hand motion.......just barely though!
lead her not: Sheri didn't think the truck would make it, but it did and while she hadn't reached the motel yet, she was almost there and that's why she gave the old Chevy a pat on its side after she jumped down and slammed the door shut. After such a long drive it felt good to stretch her legs. They were long, peeking out from beneath the hem of a simple floral print sundress. Her long red hair was swept up, secured loosely with a clip and atop her head sat a pair of sunglasses she'd almost forgotten about since the sun was nearly set. Tossing her keys into a white fringed purse, she slung it over a shoulder and started for the entrance, the clip of her flip flops marking each step. It was when the AC greeted her as she opened the door that she was glad she'd thought to grab her denim jacket from off the passenger seat. She entered with a shiver, a chill sliding down the length of her spine. "Shit," she muttered under her breath, rubbing her arms as blue eyes looked around, taking in her surroundings as she headed for the bar. –d
Alec R Sutton: It was in the subtext. Chuckling, Alec looked back at Jorge, whose name was actually Patrick, but no one ever called him that. "Bourbon, neat." When the door opened up and the red head wandered in, Alec smiled at her.
Victoria HoImes: "There's no one I detest more than you, Alec." So there, said the nose in the air. She scoffed into her glass as she took another sip. "He simply existed, in his human-esque charade. It's disgusting." Not that she had an opinion on the matter or anything.
Sawyer E Monroe: Legs crossed, one blue heel swung slightly with excess energy, simply enjoying the conversation at hand - sick pup that she is. The addition of another in the bar-space had her attention and smile simply extended to greeting once she combined it with a nod of her head and of course, "Hello" Then to Victoria and Alec, she commented "I would be dismayed, but Victoria is rather consistant in her hatrid of things, I find it comforting, really" –d
lead her not: Sheri returned the smile. She was dropping her things onto an empty seat and she was claiming the one right beside it, smoothing the dress beneath her before sliding her ass onto the cushion. "You wouldn't happen to have Abita on tap, would you?" It was a long shot she knew, very few places out of New Orleans carried it, but she tried. When she failed she ordered a Corna instead as well as a basket of chicken wings and fries. She was hungry! –d
Alec R Sutton: "Please, there's nothing wrong with blending..." he dropped it though with the new arrival. No need to scare off the straights as it were. Scare them off, and the food supply just disappears with them. Not that there was anything wrong with the cloned stuff, or the occasional score of donor blood, but fresh from the vein was the favorite. Mostly because Alec enjoyed sinking his teeth into a woman right in that moment when she... Okay so maybe his smirk turned into a lustful leer for a moment before he shook the thought off.
Victoria HoImes: A brief look was given toward the redhead. Nostrils flared briefly before she held her glass under her nose to smell the wine rather than that wet dog smell. "No, there's nothing wrong with blending. But he goes a bit too above and beyond. Procreating, even." There was the retching look again. Whether it was for the idea of children or the look on Alec's face was hard to tell.
Sawyer E Monroe: That leer...wow, karma was giving her a total check list of her favorite things tonight. Victoria, fabulous and bitchy, Alec, sexy and leering, Jorge, silent and efficient. Life was perfect right now. –d
Alec R Sutton: Alec wasn't looking to procreate but he wasn't above trying. Vigorously. Smirking, he took up his glass, as he contemplated what he could needle Victoria with next.
Victoria HoImes: Oh come on, she's in a fairly decent mood! For Victoria, anyway.
lead her not: Sheri was just sitting there, minding her own business, though she really wasn't. She was listening. And musing over the fact that could actually hear what was being said despite how low they were speaking. How was that even possible? It wasn't the first time, either. She'd noticed it before. Not before the attack, but after. With her thoughts elsewhere, she hadn't even noticed Jorge walking her way until he was setting the beer down in front of her. Blue eyes widened and she smiled, offering him a small word of thanks as she reached out for the drink, wrangling it in by the neck. –d
Sawyer E Monroe: After finishing off her glass and setting it aside with a finger wiggle to grab his attention for more. "So - have either of you been to Italy? I know it's a semi work trip, but I need world travel fun" And a look to Alec "More than getting you naked in a strange place level of fun , though not discounting that" –d
Victoria HoImes: "A few times, but it's been ages." Since talk of Alec getting naked was in play, Victoria decided to be very focused on her drink.
Alec R Sutton: So, Victoria had a new girl in her trunk? Alec looked back at Sawyer and chuckled. "Milan's always nice in the spring." Alec shrugged. "End of February, beginning of March." He smiled and then sipped his bourbon, before he looked over at Victoria for her answer before he looked over at Freckles. "And how about you? Italy?"
lead her not: Rolling the bottle between both her hands, she paused, looking at Alec with a raised brow when he questioned her. "No...never. Not yet, at least." She chuckled softly. Because she'd just been thinking about them, it felt a little odd to suddenly be included in the conversation. Sort of like they'd read her mind -- or he had, maybe. But Sheri knew that wasn't possible. It was just a strange coincidence. –d
Alec R Sutton: Less mind reading, more hot chick in a bar that he hadn't spoken to as of yet. Okay so he was a little predictable where women were concerned. "No? You should be there in spring. Fashion Week." Well yeah, best time to be in Milan. Models, everywhere.
Sawyer E Monroe: "Victoria, you travel a lot...why not fly out to Italy...I mean we will be there" A glimpse to Alec, then to Victoria "I will be there" grin "We can shop. ... A Lot. " –d
Victoria HoImes: "There aren't strong enough ear plugs in all the world for that. Thank you, but no thank you." Vacationing with Alec? She'd rather get staked and set on fire.
Alec R Sutton: That could be arranged.
Sawyer E Monroe: "Little ball and gag action you won't hear a thing" Wink! Someone got a head start on the drinks. Shh. –d
lead her not: "One day," she said with a smile. Her food came then and once again she was thanking Jorge for his service. -d
Victoria HoImes: Oh did Sawyer get a look.
Alec R Sutton: "I think she's more apt to be on the giving end of that, than the recieving." Alec chuckled and sipped his bourbon.
Sawyer E Monroe: Halo of utter sweetness and light right here. Just, look at that glow! Ok, so it was a kick ass skin moisturizer, but still, she had a perfectly innocent look on her features to Victoria. She leaned over and whispered to Alec, pretty sure she was having to explain this for all the wrong reasons. "She was referring to not wanting to hear you banging through Italy. So I was suggesting that you have a ball gag handy and she won't have to hear it." See, not as funny when explained, but still. Christmas gift lists will be made. –d
Alec R Sutton: Alec leaned back and smirked. "Just wait for it...." The invective was likely to come at any moment.
lead her not: And there were just some conversations she wished she couldn't hear. Because there was no unhearing them.
Sawyer E Monroe: And so she looked, leaning lightly against Alec with adoring look set to Victoria.. –d
Alec R Sutton: Alec's gaze went to Victoria then, watching her over the rim of his glass and waiting to see if she'd bristle or dismiss him altogether. It could go either way with her.
Victoria HoImes: Victoria would have to agree with Sherri on that one. "There's no doubt he'd enjoy it far too much. Can we not encourage him further, please?"
lead her not: They'd forever be the ball gag couple to her.
Sawyer E Monroe: "Victoria… if I don't encourage him, I'm not encouraging you and face it… you both adore it when I do" Grinning as she took up her drink. You know she had a point! –d
Alec R Sutton: Ah well, it could have been fun. Chuckling, Alec shrugged his shoulders and looked back at Sawyer and Sheri and then back to Sawyer. "Do I really need encouragement though?" God knew he was bad enough on his own, heathen that he was.
Victoria HoImes: "No, no you don't." They should all be proud of Victoria for not rising to his taunting.
Sawyer E Monroe: She grinned and ..damn it, couldn't help herself. "Probably not. But I like to feel useful" OH so entertained! –d
Alec R Sutton: Alec waggled his brows at her and then looked back at Sheri. "We're being rude. This is Sawyer, I'm Alec and the chick with the stiffened spine is Victoria." Alec looked over at said stiff spined woman as he spoke and took his time, noting the stray strand of hair and he smiled.
lead her not: Sheri had just plucked a poor defenseless fry from out of the basket, but dropped it to wave at them all when Alec made with the introductions. "Pleasure," she said, trying not to concentrate on the fact that she knew way too much information about two of them. Had the corners of her mouth twitching as she tried not to laugh. "I'm Sheri." –d
Victoria HoImes: Victoria tipped her head politely to Sherri, before smirking into her glass. "And he's already devised ten different ways to get into your pants." The least she could do was warn the girl.
Sawyer E Monroe: No idea what Sheri knew, I mean look at her, Sawyer was the picture of sweetness and light, what with the contrast to Don Juan and the Ice Queen, she was absolutely the most normal and sweet person in the trio! About to say hello, but Victoria's words had her laughing aloud before just...pressing her lips together a moment to tame the reaction. Ahem. Controll! "Hi...nice to meet you, Sheri" –d
Alec R Sutton: Maybe Sheri wasn't wearing pants. She could be commando under that willowy dress. Alec looked back at Sheri and that grin only grew. Cam had always called him a wolf, on the prowl.
Victoria HoImes: Watching that grin, she shook her head. "See?" Case in point.
Sawyer E Monroe: "To be fair, he probably just beat a personal record with like...idea fourteen in under so many minutes" Not sure how that was 'fair' but it was spoken quietly-ish in aside to Vic. –d
lead her not: "Duly noted," she said with a nod of thanks to Victoria, laughing softly at the warning. As for that grin of his...all it got out of Sheri was a smirk and shake of head. Some men were just incorrigible. He was attractive, though. Earned him a sideways glance as she reclaimed that fry, finally biting into it to keep from saying anything that could get herself into trouble. She'd had enough of that this month to last her a lifetime! –d
Alec R Sutton: Alec would be the first to admit it. He had no shame. Literally. None. Alec looked at Sawyer and cracked up. Truth be told he was imagining the ménage à ... foursome. Chuckling, he shook his head. "You say that, Victoria, like it's a bad thing."
Victoria HoImes: "It can be, should the lady not be interested." She shrugged, delicate fingers lifting to tuck that strand of hair behind her ear. "Not every woman on the planet wants to be solicited by you in such a way."
Sawyer E Monroe: Oh she was just enjoying her drink, watching with a bit of a grin on her lips, keeping her thoughts tucked away as she watched the barbed banter. –d
Alec R Sutton: "There's a difference between making the offer and tossing a teenaged girl into the trunk of a car to satisfy personal needs." He smiled at Victoria. "I, personally, would never do such a thing." The subtext was there.
lead her not: Sheri seemed to freeze at the mention of tossing a girl into a trunk of a car. Like...literally. She'd been reaching for her beer, about to wash down her food with it when she heard that and once again, she wish she hadn't. Even her smile faded away, fast, and she looked really uncomfortable. Like she was forcing herself to stay put. Glancing their way a second, she went so far as to force a smile, saying quietly to Victoria. "It's fine. Really." Anything to get them to change the subject. –d
Victoria HoImes: "You know fully well that that's satisfying a dietary need, not personal." Well...sort of. It was muttered at Alec before downing the rest of her wine and motioning to Jorge. She had a feeling she'd be needing plenty more of it soon.
Sawyer E Monroe: Oh look, Jorge. Hand lift "Shots" A look from Victoria to Alec whispering "It's like taking a trekkie to a star wars convention. Im both fascinated and wanting to tell you to behave" They were freaking out the flip flop girl. –d
Alec R Sutton: "Oh?" Alec leaned in, voice dropping. "Bite, feed, erase, Victoria. That's all that's needed to take care of that dietary need, yet you take them, torture them, kill them. Sooner or later, someone is going to notice."
Victoria HoImes: Her eyes rolled. "Honestly, Alec, you act as though I'm new to the game." It was borderline insulting, really.
Alec R Sutton: "This isn't the seventeenth century, Victoria. People are more aware. Cops today could tie you to any one of your Victims with nothing more than a carpet fiber." ne of your Victims with nothing more than a carpet fiber."
Sawyer E Monroe: A lean, cheek to fist with elbow on the bar as she watched the pair. "So....are we totally over the whole not freak out the norms thing? Because..." Head tilt to the body language put off by Sheri. –d
lead her not: Sheri dug into her food, determined to put a fairly large dent in it, and when Jorge offered her another beer, she nodded. "Please." Polite, though it may have been, it came out more like a, 'Yes!' She couldn't help it, though. She was one of the rare few that had actually been tossed into a car! Recently, too. So, yeah...she might be just a little bit antsy about it, especially when she ended up walking away from it, but shouldn't have. –d
Victoria HoImes: "He's the one that brought it up." Waving dismissively toward Alec. He did always seem to be the one to start it, just to get under Victoria's skin. "Besides, that would require her to be a 'norm.'" Sherri really needn't worry about being tossed into Victoria's trunk. She preferred humans only.
Alec R Sutton: Fortunately the norms not with them wouldn't hear it. Of course everyone in the bar that wasn't normal could, but that was beside the point. "You're so speciest..." He shook his head and looked at Sawyer and then over at Sheri. "Sorry. Family squabbles." Not really family but yeah.
lead her not: Speciest? Had she heard him right? The word had Sheri arching a 'wtf' brow at him. Unfortunately, they knew more about her than she knew about herself, hence why she was suddenly looking at him like he'd sprouted another head. Realizing it, she quickly covered with a smile, saying, "No worries." –d
Sawyer E Monroe: "I really do need some sort of detector" Grumble . A bit of a grin to Alec and she laughed softly "Ugh, I question my sanity, but I wouldn't have life any other way. "Speciest gave her the insight she wanted into knowing what Sheri was. That with the history of Victoria's looks when speaking of others, sort of narrowed it down for her. "None the less, fun as you two are, I have a deep desire to get out of these fabulous heels and into a bed" –d
Victoria HoImes: "Forgive me for not wanting a meal that smells like wet dog." Her nose scrunched before she was turning her full and undivided attention to Sawyer. "I'm so very glad to have seen you before you flit off to Italy. If I don't see you beforehand, have a wonderful time." A lean in to bump cheek to cheek.
Alec R Sutton: "Where do you get wet dog smell?" Alec's brow rose as regarded Victoria and then he looked at Sawyer. "Tired?"
Sawyer E Monroe: Sawyer was off the stool and a warm smile as she leaned into the cheek bump. "Thank you. I was thrilled to see you between ..flits" Laughing softly before turning to Alec and moving closer to slip arms around him "A bit. Plus, I get to kidnap a really sexy guy tomorrow and jet set off to Italy. I need my beauty sleep" -d
Alec R Sutton: Alec smiled as he slipped his arm around her waist when she stepped in close. "You get your sleep, and I will see you tomorrow." He smiled and then slipped his free hand into her hair, his lips taking hers.
Victoria HoImes: Victoria waved off the question with a dismissive hand. Then focused on her wine while the two lip-locked. Bleh.
Sawyer E Monroe: She'd be sure to get Vic something pretty to make up for all the retch faces she's had to make tonight. But, she more than happily savored that kiss from Alec with a bit of a squeeze around his waist before the kiss broke with a playful bite. Chuckling softly, slinking away and heading for the door. "Night y'all" –d
Alec R Sutton: Alec gave her a waggle of fingers as he watched her walk away, and then he turned to smirk at Victoria.
Victoria HoImes: "Didn't your mother ever warn you that your face might stick like that?" A brief lift of her eyebrows given before taking a sip of her wine.
Alec R Sutton: "My mother doesn't lie to me." He chuckled and lifted his glass, taking another sip of his bourbon, draining the glass in the process. He slid it over to Jorge for a refill and then looked over at Sheri. "It takes a while, but she... well, she doesn't warm up but she does get slightly less cold."
lead her not: Finishing off her meal in record time, she pushed the plate away and picked up a napkin. She was wiping her hands when Alec started talking to her again, and she looked his way, her gaze flickering to Victoria briefly, assuming he meant her. It made her laugh a little. "Are you two always like this?" She was trying to forget about what she heard earlier, shoving it way, WAY, to the back of her mind, hoping that making conversation would help. –d
Victoria HoImes: "Usually worse, when he's really trying to be a jackass, which unfortunately he truly excels at." Here's hoping the bastard didn't consider that a compliment, though he no doubt would.
Alec R Sutton: "She just can't handle my undeniable charm and it annoys her." he chuckled, and then took up the drink Jorge set before him.
lead her not: Sheri snorted. She couldn't help herself. It just came out. And when it did, she cracked up. Started laughing even more than she already was. "You're too much," she said, smirking at him. –d
Victoria HoImes: "He's also as full of shit as he is of himself." Siiip.
Alec R Sutton: Alec was laughing as well and then he looked over at Victoria. "Admit it. You'd be lost without me to annoy you."
lead her not: That earned more laughter. It was like listening to two siblings tearing into each other. The good and the bad twin, or in this case, the lesser of the two evils.-d
Victoria HoImes: She tipped her head briefly, considering it. "Actually? No, I wouldn't. I cannot wait for you to leave to Italy. If you want to stay there forever, by all means."
lead her not: "I should probably go." It was said with a sigh. "I still need to find my hotel and then there's a long, hot shower with my name on it." She reached for her purse, chuckling softly at what they were saying while she dug around for her cash. –d
Alec R Sutton: "You'd miss me. Like a rash, once it's gone." Alec smirked and looked back at Sheri. "She's jealous..." The smirk said he didn't believe it and then when Sheri mentioned a hotel, he perked. "New to town. Welcome to Seattle."
Victoria HoImes: Of course Alec perked at the mention of a hotel room.
lead her not: "Mhm." She agreed with him. About being new to town, that is! She couldn't speak for Victoria. "And thanks," she added, smiling as she lifted her gaze to look at him. –d
Alec R Sutton: "If you need any tips on navigating the hazards..." he paused and then leaned toward her. "Have you spoken the big guy yet?" Sheri looked like a deer caught in the headlights. "The who?" Big guy? What the hell was he talking about? She wasn't about to believe he was going religious on her, not after all the talk about ball gags -- then again, some of the freakiest people did live deep in the Bible Belt, so one never knew. She set the money for her bill down beneath an empty beer bottle, but all the while she kept Alec in her sights. –d
Victoria HoImes: While the two talked shop, Victoria settled her Birkin on her lap so she could rummage through it for cash to pay her bill.
Alec R Sutton: "Ah." Alec nodded and then pulled a bar napkin over, writing TC's number down and then sliding it over to her. "If you need more information on wolves than the Discovery Channel can offer... He's your guy."
lead her not: More confusion, as well as worry. The talk of wolves had it creasing her brow. Why would this guy bring up wolves? What could he possibly know? All those questions were in her head as she hesitantly reached for the phone number he offered her. "You have a lot of wolf attacks here, too?" She asked it so innocently, like she really didn't know what he was talking about. –d
Alec R Sutton: "No, the local wolves are generally well behaved." Smiling, Alec lifted his glass and took a sip, watching her over the rim.
Victoria HoImes: Victoria tipped her head as she listened to the conversation, studying the girl. Did she really not understand what she's become, or was she playing coy? Hard to say.
lead her not: "Then why would I need to call someone?" She finally asked him outright, lifting the napkin he gave her and waving it like a white flag. Yes, she most definitely surrendered. –d
Alec R Sutton: "When you go to a friend's house, do you piss in their pool?" Lifting his glass, Alec took another sip, and then he set the glass down. "Because not talking to the top dog when in his territory is like pissing in someone else's pool."
lead her not: Sheri squinted at him, trying to figure out what he meant. He was making her head hurt. "What?!" She said it low enough not to draw attention to them, but put enough stress on the word to show that he was making no sense to her. "I'm in Seattle, am I not? Last I checked, this was still America the free and all that shit." In other words, she could come and go as she pleased. By now, it should be clear she had no clue what she was. –d
Victoria HoImes: Frowning, she held her hand up to Alec in an attempt to shut him up. "Dearest, were you attacked by one?" While Sherri may not realize it, Alec should notice that Victoria's concern was in fact very real.
Alec R Sutton: Oh Alec noticed and the fact that she was concerned had him looking at her like she'd grown another head. "Huh..." Lifting his glass, he took another sip.
lead her not: Her gaze flickered from Alec to Victoria. The question was out there, but the answer didn't come as easy, especially when she thought she was dealing with an insane person. Coming to a decision, she slowly nodded, clearing her voice before saying quietly, "Yeah. A little over a week ago." It was why she was on this road trip. To get away from things for a while. -d
Alec R Sutton: When Sheri mentioned that, Alec pulled his phone to check phases. "Next full is on the 20th." Alec looked over at Victoria. "She's going to need a crash course."
lead her not: She watched as he pulled out his phone and her brow furrowed yet again, having no clue what the fuck he was talking about. "What?" –d
Victoria HoImes: Victoria sighed, shaking her head. "Oh, dearest. You've been infected." She nodded toward wherever that napkin with the phone number was or had disappeared to. "I suggest you give that number a call first thing in the morning. You know how they tend to run in packs? He's the pack leader." Never thought she'd be giving gentle advice to a werewolf, of all creatures.
Alec R Sutton: "You've been infected, by a wolf." Yes, he was keeping his voice down because yes there were still norms, but Sheri wasn't normal. Not anymore. "There's an hierarchy in each pack. A leader, whose lead all the wolves follow."
lead her not: The napkin was still in her hand. With the two of them now making no sense -- to her, at least, she was looking down at the number. Victoria had said she was infected. With what? And while Sheri wasn't sure she wanted to know, Alec was quick to tell her and she suddenly felt...well...sick. She suddenly recalled how quickly she healed from that night and she wondered if that was the cause. She literally looked like she was going to cry. "I should go," she said weakly, stepping down from the stool she was sitting on. Just when she thought things were getting better, they were now telling her she was a wolf. She shook her head, unable to believe it. What was she supposed to say to that? "Thank you...for this..." She lifted the number. What good it would do her, she didn't know. Hell, a part of her still hoped they were both crazy and that the guy on the other end of that line and her would get a good laugh out of all of this if and when she got the nerve to finally call him. Collecting her things, she turned then and walked towards the exit and ultimately her truck. -d
Alec R Sutton: "Call that number. You need to talk to TC. He can help you through this. You're going to be pretty off as the infection progresses and then on the 20th, the moon is full." Then shit gets real.
lead her not: Words she didn't really want to hear as she was walking out, but she could. –d
Victoria HoImes: Frowning, Victoria watched as the girl left, then slid off her stool with a sigh. "That poor girl, she's in for a rude awakening.." And yes, she still sounded rather concerned.
Alec R Sutton: Alec looked back at Victoria. "She needs help, whether she wants to admit it or not."
Victoria HoImes: "Yes, indeed." Her bag hanging from her arm, she lifted her other hand to tuck that damn strand of hair back, suddenly feeling somewhat awkward. "Well. Goodnight, Alec." She then turned and headed for the door.
Alec R Sutton: "Victoria..." Alec slid from the stool and dropped cash on the bar before he moved to catch up with her and pull the door open. "I like this side of you." He smiled to her, warm and genuine.
Victoria HoImes: He didn't really think it was going to last, did he? She dipped her head in thanks for holding the door open for her, before smirking once outside. "Yes, well, don't get used to it."
Alec R Sutton: "I won't." He smiled, and dropped a kiss to her cheek as she passed him and then he headed for his car.
Victoria HoImes: At least she had the good sense not to growl outright for it. Instead she waited until she was settled in the back of the Rolls before shuddering.
