Part I
Sheri Meadows: The text from Tre came as a surprise. They'd talked briefly the week before and she'd told him where she was (not what happened, though), but she never thought she'd see him, yet there she was at the Big Y Cafe, waiting for him. Still living out of a spare room at TC's in Peshastin, Washington (about two hours outside of Seattle) she didn't feel it was right to bring him there, so she chose a place they could sit down and grab some dinner. They had an hour until the place closed, so there was plenty of time. Dressed in faded jeans and a flowy burgundy colored tank with slide-on sandals, she was slowly pacing the front of the establishment, keeping an eye out for the man she'd met only once but still knew better than most. The black leather purse she carried was hoisted on a shoulder and she folded her arms loosely in front of her, thinking back to when they first met. It wasn't that long ago really -- only about a month, but so much had changed. It had her sighing, lifting a hand to tuck a few stray red locks behind an ear. Her hair was as long and wavy as it ever was and it fell freely all around her shoulders and back, reaching the center of her spine. The gentle breeze that blew tossed the strands from time to time and that's when she'd repeatedly brushed them back, securing them the same way she did before. -d
Tre Williams: He felt bad. He'd bit her to save her then had to run. He was shot by a hunter and had to hide out a day to go back to get his phone. Being hunted he said he'd be a week but now it was nearly going on a month. She told him where she was and he happened to be in Cali so north it was. Two nights later he was meeting up with that redheaded vixen to have to apologize for her new life. Hey. So. I'm a werewolf and I totally bit you so you wouldn't die after those two guys beat the shit out of you. Oh and I ripped them to shreds. Classic Boy Meets Girl story, right? She's gonna fuckin' hate you, Tre. He thought to himself. Soon enough the black Harley pulled into the lot. It wasn't a fancy bike that was for sure.. 2010 Fatboy with some baggers made great for a man who traveled light. He could live off 3 outfits, a knife and gun with that bike. Protection. Clothing. He'd figure housing out in the wilds or in a scumbag hotel when he had to. Parked and making way over he had on faded blue jeans, almost gray even, left knee torn out with a black tank top on. Hair a grungy mess but it worked for him. Moving to her he'd motion for her to come and give him hug. "Come here, girl...I'm sorry took this long to get back to ya. I really did plan on seeing the weekend after we met." -d-
Sheri Meadows: It was his scent she picked up first. Odd how she remembered it. She hadn't been a wolf when they met, but being as close to him as she'd been, it stuck with her and now that she was turned, those senses of hers were a lot keener than they'd been and she sensed him even before she saw him. Or maybe it was something else about him that she sensed, something she wasn't aware of yet, that she was just writing off as his scent. The second she laid eyes on him, she smiled -- it was the first real smile she'd managed since arriving there and when he opened up his arms to her, looking for a hug, she walked right into them, wrapping herself around him. "It's okay," she murmured low, shutting her eyes and inhaling deeply. It felt good to have him holding her and while she wasn't sure how the hell she was ever going to let him in on her little secret, or if she ever could, for that matter, she wanted to pretend, even just for a little while, that it was going to be all right. "Shit happens," she added. And what an understatement that was. They'd both been put through the wringer, though he definitely knew more about Sheri than she did about him. "Didn't expect to see you at all." She squeezed him when she said it, pulling back to get a better look at him and in doing so, he'd get a good look at her as well, seeing that she was completely healed from when he saw her last, which should have come as no surprise to him. -d
Tre Williams: He took in a deep breath and her scent, hugging her tight as she held him. He was relieved she lived and so far hadn't gone loony but he was guessing she was on the brink of it. Eventually the hold was let go and he flashed a smile to her. " You kiddin' me Cherry Lips? " He said with a smirk as he looked her over while she looked at him. Holding his hand up, thumb and index finger held an inch apart before her. "I was this close...this close to texting you for some nudes that's how bad wanted to see you again," he said, teasing her. His hand cupped her cheek lightly and he leaned in for a soft , gentle kiss of her lips. He could be rough. She knew this. But his touches showed he could care for her just the same. Take cared of her and look out for her no matter how rough they got between the sheets. He moved to motion with his hand for her to go inside and plop down. "Order yet?" He asked looking to her. Moving to sit across from her. "And you look...mm." Shaking his head. "Beautiful." Was all he could get out as he looked at her across that table. Fuck I'm in trouble, he thought to himself -d-
Sheri Meadows: No, she hadn't lost her mind. For awhile there, she thought she had, and then she thought the rest of the world was nuts, but luckily she'd managed to come across the right...people, at the right time and they pointed her to TC who'd been keeping a close eye on her, showing her the ropes, so to speak, even going so far as to prepare her for the possibility that the one who turned her might eventually show up if he remembered doing it. Cherry. His nickname for her had color flooding her cheeks the same way it had the first time they met, though she quickly recovered and playfully shoved him with a "psssh" when he mentioned almost asking her to send him some nudes. All kidding was cast aside though when he slid his hand along her cheek, cradling it as he leaned in for that kiss. She met it softly, matching the gentleness as she curled her fingers into the soft cotton of the tank top he wore. For as rough as she knew he could be, she found he could be equally as tender and considering everything that happened to her the last few weeks, she craved it. "Not yet," she said, sinking into the seat opposite him. "But I'm starving." If he thought she was hungry before, he should see her appetite now! She'd just reached for a menu and was about to open it when he started musing over how she looked, mentioning that he thought she was beautiful and making her smile. "Glad you still think so." Her gaze locked with his across the table and he might be interested to know that he wasn't the only one that was in trouble. Sheri was as attracted to him now as she was back then, maybe even more. -d
Tre Williams: "I'll always think so," he said in response. Once the waitress came up he smiled to the woman. Deciding to order for her. "Yeah can I get country steak dinner. With the mashed potatoes. Extra gravy, of course, and for her I wanna get the biggest burger you got. Make it a double. With bacon. Extra rare." He knew that bloody meat hit the spot more then she would know right now. Smirking. "Trust me on it," was all he would say because more then likely she wasn't thinking to order near raw meat. Her animal instincts, including appetite were going to be kicking in till she knew how to handle curbing them. But a run through the woods may not be what she called a nice dinner date. "2 Angry Balls if ya got 'em, too," he said with a smile across the table to her. Once the waitress was gone he smiled at Sheri. "So. Tell me about Seattle. See any glittery vampires yet?" he teased. -d-
Sheri Meadows: When he ordered for her she arched a brow, but not because she thought he was overstepping any boundaries. "Now, how'd you know I wanted a burger?" She waited till the waitress left to ask him and by her chuckle he could tell she wasn't the least bit offended, though she did have to wonder about the 'extra rare'. Before he bit her, she used to order her burgers medium-rare, so it wasn't that far off, but it was still different for her. But after the full moon on the twentieth, there were lots of things that were different for her, things she didn't think he'd understand, but oh how wrong she would be. As for him always thinking she was beautiful -- that was definitely the right thing to say. It showed in her eyes, the way she looked at him, and in her smile and the way it just lingered. "Glittery vampires?" She laughed, but would he note the hint of nervousness in her voice? He was touching on so many things that she didn't know how to explain. Hell, she didn't know if she even could simply because she had no idea what he was yet. Truth of the matter was, it was two vampires that realized what she was, what had happened and had sent her to TC. They didn't glitter, though. And at the time she didn't know they were vampires. TC was the one to tell her that. "If you tell me you watch or read Twilight I may never let you live it down," she teased. -d
Tre Williams: Head pulled back as he gave her a "you straight crazy look" then he laughed. "Fuck no," he said, shaking his head. "I'm more a classics kinda guy. From Universal...Dracula...Wolfman to...American Werewolf in London." One of the best transformations on the big screen to date, might he add. "My lil' Cherry keeping herself out of trouble in this," he looked around the diner before back at her, "Boring ass town?" he asked with another chuckle. Soon enough their food was being served up. "Thank ya," he said. Grabbing his spoon he was pouring the gravy from his mashed potatoes over that country fried steak . Looking back at her now. Hmm? Wait. Rewind. Did he call her his? Did he claim her that night a month ago and mean it? -d-
Sheri Meadows: That look! It made her laugh and she just shrugged, saying, "Hey, ya never know." When he went on to tell her what he did like, she just had to smile, because they had similar tastes. "I like those, too." As for his lil' Cherry keeping out of trouble. "Been trying." Her main concern had been killing someone. She'd honestly been fearful of it, but she'd been told she couldn't live her life worrying about the 'what ifs' and that's the way she'd been trying to look at it. Though now, she was looking at him. Like really looking at him. The waitress had returned so Sheri wasn't saying anything, but the pretty redhead had picked up on his choice of words and now she was trying to get a read on him in much the same way she had the night they met. Did he really consider her to be his or was it just a slip of the tongue that she was putting too much stock in? After a soft word of thanks to the waitress, she went about the task of preparing her burger, adding ketchup and mayo, though all the while the wheels of her mind were spinning, wondering where they stood and if he was the sort she could trust with the truth about herself, never once thinking he had his own secrets to share. -d
