May 5th, 2AM
life by grimoire: Tamsin had heard the phone disconnect, and had started moving from where she'd been in the kitchen down to the basement. It was where she had everything stored, the table, the candles around the entire space. It was where most of her magic was done, if not outside in the open space of the back yard. She pulled the grimoire up, opened the aged book and smoothed its pages lovingly, as she flipped through them to the right one. She'd be ready for when Alec got there with what she needed.
Alec R Sutton: Alec pulled up at Tamsin's place, shutting the car off and stepping out of the car. His foray into Fedville had been fruitful and he had Cam's blood. Heading up the walk, he raised his fist and pounded on the door, then hit the doorbell for good measure. He glanced around, then looked back at the door. "Tam Tam!" Impatient much?
life by grimoire: She could hear him, even before he got to the house's door. A shake of her head and a small chuckle, before she headed up to open the front door for him. "Come on in. You got what I need?" She asked as she already lead him away from the front door once it was closed and locked. Not to keep them in, but she had a habit of liking to ensure nothing could get into the house that wasn't invited. "Do you want a drink?" It was Alec, she asked because it was usually a 'Yes' answer.
Alec R Sutton: "I have everything you need, but what you need right now, is here." He pulled the vials from within his jacket pocket and offered them out to her, a smile given. "Do you have to even ask?" Glancing around, as he followed her, he gave a nod. "Nice place. How long will this take?"
life by grimoire: He was always going to be Alec, no matter what was happening, and in that, Tamsin adored the hedonistic playboy. She took the vials, and moved into the kitchen to pull out a bottle of the good stuff from one of the cupboards. She didn't bother with glasses, because Alec was more a bottle man, especially when he was stressed. "Not too long. Let's head down to the basement.." The den of magic, and power. Her sanctuary. And Tamsin moved, bare feet across the woodgrain floor as she lead him just that way through the house, and down into the basement that was simple but smelled of herbs, and candlewax. On the table there was a map of the area spread wide, the grimoire to one side, and as she stepped behind the table, the blood vials were set near the grimoire as well. She'd handed him the bourbon before they'd gotten to the basement. So he'd have his drink, while she started the spell.
Alec R Sutton: Alec and Cam could so have themselves a sandwitch, if Tam Tam was so inclined. Following her down, he took the place in. "Well if this isn't a pagan den of sexy, I don't know what is." Taking the bottle, he pulled the cork and tipped it up for a deep drink.
life by grimoire: She gave him a glance, and those green eyes were vibrant, that smile infectious, before she chuckled. "Glad you approve. Of all the people to see it, unless it had your seal of approval, it just wasn't the same.." She grinned again then turned her head to regard the map of the city. She lifted the vial of Cam's blood. She may need the other later, so she'd use only one for the first tracking spell. The vial was tipped, and the blood was poured into a pool on map upon the table. A faint flicker of the house lights, and then once the vial was set aside, Tamsin's head dropped, and she closed her eyes, and took a slow, even breath. The blood pooled, and then, slowly, as the candlesthroughout the basement began to flare to life, and Tamsin's chanting grew, the pooling blood began to move. "Phasmatos Tribum Nas Ex Veras...Sequita Saguines...Ementas Asten Mihan Ega Petous."
Alec R Sutton: "That's me, just loads and loads of approval." He smirked and took another sip of bourbon before looking back at Tamsin. Watching, a glance around as the candles flickered and then he went back to watching the process with the map and the blood as it moved on its own.
life by grimoire: The chanting continued, as the blood continued to move across the map; first in a long pool, and then, as she opened her eyes, Tamsin could see the splitting off of the various droplets. Her eyes followed them all, briefly, before focusing back on the larger pool, until it too became nothing but a split off of smaller droplets. The words were continued, until finally, there was a stillness. No more movement, and then the candles within the basement flared upwards, and then snuffed themselves out. Tamsin's head dropped, and she gave the map a look, before she turned those green eyes on Alec. "Damn it.." She murmured, and raked her hands up through her hair.
Alec R Sutton: "What the hell does this mean?" Alec stared at the man, even his scowl had a scowl. "What the hell, did they cut her up into little pieces?!" No he wasn't freaking out, yet. He was heading there. Waste of good bourbon but he turned and threw the bottle against the wall, watching it shatter, before he turned again to look at Tamsin. "What are we supposed to do now?"
life by grimoire: Tamsin knew that was coming when the bottle was thrown and hit the wall. They could have cut her up into pieces, but Tamsin's mind wasn't working on that morbid thought. "What it means is, I think whoever has her? They have their own me." She gave him a small twitch of a smile. "Their own witch. Or, by the looks of this, maybe more than one witch." She huffed, but then she moved and took her place before the table, drawing Alec closer with her hand in his. "Let me try one more locator spell." She had the blood there on the map, but she needed another strong tether, and that one, happened to be standing right beside her. Tamsin set one hand to the map, Cam's blood under her palm, and then her other hand she unwound from Alec, and set her hand upon his chest - over his heart. "Focus on her, Alec. Just focus, and picture Cam for me.." She looked up at him, and when he was focusing, instead of scowling and trying to throw things, Tamsin would begin the second locator spell.
Alec R Sutton: Moving with Tam, his hand curling around hers, he looked back at the map. When she let go, set her hand over his heart, he lifted his own to hold her hand there in place and closed his eyes, Cam's face in his mind, her smile, the curve of her jaw, the upward tick of her lips as she smiled, those dark eyes flashing up at him. He held onto that image in his head.
life by grimoire: Her words were soft, but the incantation was audible. "Phasmatos Tribum. Nas Ex Veras. Sequitas Sanguinem." Her eyes were closed, and as the incantation was repeated, she felt the sudden surge of her mind, and with the flaring high power of the candles, and this time the unlit before fireplace, there was a sharp tip backward of Tamsin's head. Focus was driven, eyes were closed, and she recited the incantation without pause or hesitation. Finally, there was a flash. Across her mind's eye, there was a single flash, and for that brief moment, every part of the image was committed to her memory. Then, it was gone. The candles died, the fireplace died as well, and her head rolled foward, as she leaned heavily more into Alec.
Alec R Sutton: Alec's arms wrapped around her, holding her up as she leaned into him, concern marring his brow. "Tamsin?" One hand lifted her head up so he could look into her face, as the other arm continued to support her. "Are you alright?" She had to be alright. She was his favorite witch. "Look at me. Come on." He caressed her face, his eyes searching.
life by grimoire: It took a lot to do far reaching spells, even for her. And with the demand and intensity with which Alec himself was desperate for Cam's return, it only drove Tamsin to push herself that much harder. She set her had to his face, andthere was a small smile as she started to stand back up without the lean in. "She's alive." That was the most important part of what she'd seen, so she got that out first. "She knows you're going to find her." Another point of intense emotion that had come through in that brief foray to wherever it was Cam was being held. "She's already losing the spell's power. And she's weak." Not eating properly, not eating enough, but she was aware. Speaking to someone. "And wherever she is.. the others are there too.." Other girls. She could sense the numbers, but not see the faces.
Alec R Sutton: "So now we just need to find her." He smiled at her. "Thank you, Tamsin. I know this is hard on you." Physically as well as mentally and emotionally. "So now all we have to do is figure out where the Russian mob is going to keep a bunch of exotic women they intend to sell."
life by grimoire: "You should know by now, Alec, I'd do anything you need me to do." She smiled back, and then pat his cheek before stepping back. "If they're using witches to help hide their path, then that may be the way we can find them. We just have to try and find a little bit more of an area they might frequent to hide them out." She could feel that pull, someone trying to block her from getting in, which was why the vision had been so quick, so very short. "If you find some of the men involved, bring me something of theirs. Something they've worn, or hair.. or.. blood." She said it knowing Alec would have no issues getting that last from anyone who had something to do with Cam's disappearance. "I can try a tracking spell on where they've been. Maybe we can use that to create a general vicinity and it should help us narrow down where the could be.."
Alec R Sutton: "I can get you someone tonight. Not sure how much he knows, where he's been, he just manages the club where their scout selects the girls to be taken." Alec paused. "The scout is supposed to be at the club this evening. I plan on getting a hold of him." He brushed her hair back from her face, eyes searching hers. "I'll get you his blood, that's strongest, right?"
life by grimoire: She gave him a nod of her head, and smiled up at him. "The blood is the strongest link, yes." Tamsin thought for a moment. "The scout would be good. He would have to travel to meet with the one who picks them up. I'm sure there's a few hands in this game, and the more hands I can focus on, and track, the better and more narrowed our field to finding Cam will get." She held his hand with hers and even brushed a small kiss to the back of his hand. "I'll do whatever it takes to bring her back to you, Alec. I promise you."
Alec R Sutton: Alec smiled. "You should get some sleep, Tamsin. We're going to have a very busy day." He leaned his forehead to hers. "And... I need a broom and a dustpan. It's the least I can do." And damn, he needed a drink. Sadly the bourbon was all over the floor along with the shattered bottle.
life by grimoire: She let the forehead touch last a few moments, before she kissed his cheek, and shooed him off. "Go to the kitchen. There's another bottle in the cupboard. Just promise me you won't drink it while you're driving, and it's yours, mm?
I'll clean this up." She was already turning and moving toward a stoarge closet on the far wall. A glance back to him. "Alec, be careful, hmm? She's going to need you in one piece when we find her." Reckless and doing anything to get what he wanted could lead him to trouble. And he was her favorite vampire, she didn't want anything to happen to him.
Alec R Sutton: That lopsided, smile was given to her. "You know me." And she did, which was why she told him to be careful. "Get some rest, Tam Tam." He headed for the stairs, and moved up them, pausing as he debated the bottle, or heading off to find a wolf... Looking back down the stairs, he contemplated telling Tamsin but then decided she'd probably put that in the category of reckless. A low chuckle was given and then he headed out for his car.
life by grimoire: Reckless was exactly where she would have put that idea, but she also would have understood it. Hopefully, if he went in search of the wolf, he'd remember that they don't tend to like his kind, and wolfsbane was one of the best weapons to have on hand. She finished cleaning up the broken glass, and mopped up the spilled bourbon and then went abck to study the map and the places the blood had stopped at on each point. He'd find the coordinates in his phone; each spot had been somewhere Cam's blood had to have been taken, or left behind on her own. And the final text was simple. Be smart. Be safe. Be careful – Tam
Alec R Sutton: Alec was already on his way to wolftown when the text came through, the coordinates noted and the note, and at the next light, he fired off a response. Love you too, Tam Tam. Chuckling, he continued as the light turned green and then he headed off to the Gator.
life by grimoire: Tamsin had heard the phone disconnect, and had started moving from where she'd been in the kitchen down to the basement. It was where she had everything stored, the table, the candles around the entire space. It was where most of her magic was done, if not outside in the open space of the back yard.
