Nocturnal Legacy: Abby had finished up her talk with Sasha. Had gone by the house o find it...empty. She was alone again and while she debated on maybe going out by herself, a thought popped into mind. With a grin, she text TC, if nothing more than for amusement sake by teasing him. [Text] How about you giving me something I asked for last time we hung out together? [end text] She put the phone down long enough to turn to the fridge and grab herself a bottle water, while waiting to see if he replied. [d] T C Beckwith: When the text came in, TC checked it and smirked, a response fired back: What's that, a rematch? Nocturnal Legacy: The cap was screwed off the bottled water and lifted to lips for a long thirst quenching pull. Her phone buzzed and she was turning about to grab it back up. She read over his reply and chuckled. [Text] You want to lose this time around? Or... would your rather give a girl a ride? [end text] With them becoming good friends, Abby didn't see anything wrong with them hanging out, or her getting a ride on the back of a bike. Something she enjoyed doing and was missing out on here lately.[d] T C Beckwith: Chuckling, he fired off another response: Cowgirl up. Then he contemplated a moment and sent another text: Where to Little Bit? Nocturnal Legacy: Abby didn't think he would actually go along with it, but he had surprised her before. She read over his next two text messages and brows arched. [Text] I'm ready now if you can come by? Unless you'd rather me meet you somewhere. Whatever is easier. As for a destination? I don't care...I just want to get out. [end text] T C Beckwith: The response was read, and he debated a moment, before replying with: Where are you now? Nocturnal Legacy: After taking another swallow of her water, she was reading over his reply and sending one back. [Text] At home. Address is 1310 Tramell Drive. [end text] T C Beckwith: When she gave the address, he fired off one last reply: On my way. And then he was heading out to his bike and kicking her to life. Nocturnal Legacy: [Text] See you soon.[end text] With that, Abby glanced down to what she was wearing. Not exactly bike gear. It was to nice... it was good clothes. She raced upstairs and changed into something more fitting. Abby threw on a pair of leather pants, her boots, and a long sleeved thermal with a leather vest and jean jacket. She couldn't decide on whether to leave her hair down and let it get all knotted, or pull it back into a pony tail. Pony tail holder was wrapped about the wrist for now and she was making her ay back down stairs. Phone and keys and wallet all put into the pockets of her vest and jacket. [d] T C Beckwith: Didn't take him long to roll up in front of the place. The sound from the bike would be more than enough warning of his arrival. He rocked the bike over onto the stand and turned the gas off as his leg swung over. He glanced around but didn't see any sign of outraged boyfriend. He headed up the walk to the door. Nocturnal Legacy: Abby heard the sound of his bike, was already making her way down the hall, when she heard the knock. She reached the door, greeted him with a smile. "Hey. Thanks for doing this. I just need to .. I don't know... get out. But I didn't want to be alone. Sasha's busy and I didn't want to keep her from anything or anyone. Hope you don't mind me calling on you." [d] T C Beckwith: "Not at all." he smiled. "So you ready to roll?" He didn't know if they were coming or going, but either way, the door was going to need to be closed before the outside went inside. Nocturnal Legacy: "I am ready when you are." she replied with another smile. "Just let me lock up here and we can be on our way." she stepped out when he backed up, turned and locked up the house before she was turning back to him. "Okay." she looked to his bike and smiled. With a bit of a skip in her step, she brushed past him and leather clad legs carried her over to his bike. She mounted up and then looked to him. "You coming or did you change your mind and decide to let me drive?" she teased. [d] T C Beckwith: He watched her as she walked out to the bike, and yes he was admiring that leather clad ass, before he gave a half shake of his head. "Well when you put it that way." He moved toward the bike and swung on, gas turned back on and ignition switched over, before he kicked her back to life. Nocturnal Legacy: Abby grinned and once TC was on, hands came to either of his sides. Not to tight of course, she didn't want to make the man feel to uncomfortable. Even if they were good friends.[d] T C Beckwith: It would take a lot to make him feel uncomfortable. Dropping the bike into first he rolled away from the curb, just letting ride decide where they were going. Nocturnal Legacy: Once they were in motion, natural reflex kicked in and her arms wrapped about him. There were a few glances here and there, helping him lookout for any on coming traffic. As for where they ended up? She really didn't care. [d] T C Beckwith: They ended up at Waterfront Park, looking out over the bay. Killing the engine, TC dropped the stand and turned the gas off, waiting for Abby to swing off before he pulled the keys and swung off as well. Nocturnal Legacy: Once the bike came to a stop and it seemed they had reached their destination, she carefully dismounted, hands remained on his shoulder and back the whole time to keep her balance. Once she was off, she moved to go stand and look out over the bay. Hands tucked into the pockets of her jacket. Hair was all wild looking. All wind blown and such. Was going to take her all night to work the tangles out. But it would be worth it. After a view like this? Definitely worth it. [d] T C Beckwith: Hands in his pockets, wind blowing his hair, he moved across the dock toward the rail. "You got something on your mind." Taking up a lean, he turned to face here, the wind now blowing his hair across his face. He ignored it as he regarded her. Nocturnal Legacy: When TC came up beside her and took to a lean on the rail, she glanced to him and smiled. "No... I'm good I think." she replied. "Just nice to get out is all." Abby wasn't sure if telling TC of her and Leland's problems was the best thing to do right now. Yes, they were friends, but she didn't know him quite as well as Sasha. Not yet at least. As she looked to him, the wind was blowing and her hair was clinging to her, across the face. She jerked her head a time or two to try and let the wind blow it free from her face, but it didn't work and so she just let it stay as it was for now. She leaned into the railing now. "Why do you ask?" she asked softly. [d] T C Beckwith: "You're carrying a weight around your neck like a twelve pound hammer. You ought to set that thing down before it drags you down." Nocturnal Legacy: Abby made an odd twist of lips. Was she really that easy to read? And here she thought she'd been doing good. If it was so obvious to him, how come Leland hadn't noticed, she asked herself. "That obvious?" she questioned. She wondered if he could guess what the issue was too. She was quiet to give him a moment and see what he would say. [d] T C Beckwith: "Something's eating at you. Off hand, the way you were protective of that Leland kid, the night of the attack I would say he's your man. I would also say from his decided lack attention, that things aren't going so well in that department. And you're wondering if there's more out there. If hanging on is worth what may be passing you by." Nocturnal Legacy: Brows arched. "You're not some kind of mind reader are you, because you basically just nailed it on the head." she shrugged her shoulders and looked back out across the bay. Arms folded over one another and hung loosely over the railing. "Things just ain't like they use to be. I'm beginning to wonder if its me..." she shrugged. [d] T C Beckwith: "Off hand, I'd say it's him. Either he's an idiot or he's gay." He shrugged. "That ring on your finger says a lot. So like I said. Idiot, or gay." Nocturnal Legacy: Abby glanced down at the ring on her finger, stared a bit for a long moment before she idly began to twist it about. "Well, I plan on talking to him about it soon. And it'll end in one of two ways... me still an engaged gal... or me as a single gal." she shrugged. "Question is... I dunno if he's already walked away, or if I'm going to be the one to have to walk away." That to Abby, was a scary thing. Blues were back to the bay now. [d] T C Beckwith: "Guess it comes down to what kind of man he is. Is he the kind to settle down or is he... well, like me. So used to lone wolfing it that he's set in his ways." Speaking of lone wolfing, he glanced upward, idly wondering how long. Usually he'd have already been up in the mountains by now, hiding out. Nocturnal Legacy: "I don't think he would have given me his momma's ring if he hadn't meant it. Not unless... now he's having doubts." she added with a sigh. "Me? I wanna settle down. But I'm not rushing it. It'll happen when its meant to happen." When he glanced up, she saw from the corner of her eye and looked up as well. Yeah... a run sounded like heaven right now. Just... run until she couldn't run anymore. Tomorrow night was the full moon, and even as an alpha, she was already getting that itchy feeling. That need to shift and be free. Abby just stood there and stared upward. [d] T C Beckwith: TC was of the opposite school of thought. He didn't turn because he wanted to. He turned when he had to and kept to himself when he did so. He had been doing so all his life and had gotten a bit long in the tooth, so to speak, to go changing things now. Nocturnal Legacy: Abby wasn't use to changing in front of others until recently. She'd just began to become comfortable with it, after Mac. There was something about that man, that just made her know, it was okay to let her inner beast come out when the moon was full, rather than fight it. Now? Now things were a little easier to handle. It was still painful of course, the change. Abby didn't think that would ever get easier. But she felt a bit more at ease when she went along with the change rather than spent time fighting it. Abby glanced to TC... was about to say something, but then thought better of it and shook her head before she looked back to the bay. [d] T C Beckwith: "Oh no. You don't get to make that face you make when you're about to speak and then not." He turned at the rail to face her fully. "Out with it." Nocturnal Legacy: Brows arched and she straightened a bit before looking to him. "Excuse me? I am my own woman and I will do what I want to do, when I want to do it and do it with whom I want to do it with or to." she popped off with an amused smirk. "Besides, if I don't tell you, there ain't a damn thing you can do about it either..." Challenge? Maybe. Was always fun to see how these things went. [d] T C Beckwith: His lips twitched upward. "I could tickle it out of you, but if you pee on my boots, I'm tossing you over the rail." Nocturnal Legacy: "Have to catch me first." she replied. She began to take a few steps back, pacing quietly and carefully, away from him. If and when he began to give chase... she turned on her heels and took off running. [d] T C Beckwith: Like he wouldn't after a challenge like that? He lunged and then ran after her, laughing as he leapt over a park bench to close the gap. Nocturnal Legacy: Abby rounded a tree or two... then up and over a picnic table, using the seats as steps. She was headed to a lil wooded area. Abby was fast in her human form. Quicker in her wolf form. Both forms were sleek and slender and light weight. [d] T C Beckwith: TC kept her in range, but didn't close on her. Catching her too soon would take all the fun out of it. As it was, he was grinning like a fool as he dogged her trail. No pun intended. Nocturnal Legacy: Abby kept running, even dared to glance back to see where he was, which may have been her mistake. Running and looking behind you, was never a good thing, but they were playing, it wasn't like she was running for her life. With few more yards, she ended up tripping and fell, but fell into a roll. She was of course laughing, and for a moment, laid there. [d] T C Beckwith: TC was close enough that he not only saw her go down and roll, but he'd actually tried to stop her forward momentum. He leapt over her when he reached her and skittered to a halt, managing, barely, to keep from falling on his ass as the rain slicked forest floor slid under foot. He crouched down and looked at her, forearms braced on his knees. "You know, I've heard of women falling head over heels, but do you have to take it literally?" Nocturnal Legacy: She was laughing and gave a nod. "I'm fine." she replied. She just lay there. Hair with debris all in it now. At least she was wearing leather pants. They were tough and the jean jacket too. So its not like she was getting soaked on her backside. Slowly she sat up and gave a shake of head. Some of the debris fell, but a few leaves and twigs were a little more tangled in. She braced herself and used him to push up on, which.. hopefully, caused him to fall to his ass after all before she was running off again. See, with Abby, if you fell, you just got up, brushed yourself off and went about it again. As she had braced herself against him, that shove may have been a little more than necessary. [d] T C Beckwith: Grunting as he went back on his ass, he was up and running after her again, a low chuckle given, adrenaline pumping as he was once more chasing. He ducked tree branches and leapt over fallen logs, all in pursuit of a woman that may not really want him catching her. Nocturnal Legacy: Abby not want to be caught? Of course she did! But she wasn't gonna make it easy for him. Besides, what woman didn't like being chased and caught, only to be tickled to death? And by someone thought of as a close friend, or getting there at least. Abby always enjoyed a good laugh. Right now, she could really use that too. But... Abby continued to zigzag through the thin trees, and then as they reached into the deeper portions, the trees started getting thicker and taller. The light weight and sleek female was ducking branches before hiding behind a tree now and then before moving on to the next one. [d] T C Beckwith: When she started playing hide and seek, he smiled, slowing, moving as she moved, hiding as she hid, each time creeping closer. Nocturnal Legacy: As Abby had her chest to a tree, arms tucked in, there was a sound that came like something slicing through the air. What ever it was, it hit her and it caused her to make a sound of pain. Arms wrapped around the tree as things got dizzy. Her vision got blurry and her legs felt weak. Then there was a thud. She willed herself up, but nothing happened and there was a mutter of hushed words... "T...c..." [d] Abductor(s): By the time he thought he caught up to her, two figures dressed in black had moved in, gathered her up and was now back to their van. Abby was draped over one shoulder of one man, the other was basically there to cover their ass in case anyone came after them. Third man waited in the van, as the driver. /d T C Beckwith: TC was running full on, after them, a low snarl escaping his lips as he moved, running full tilt, going not for the man taking up the rear, but the one that had Abby. He leapt, arms out, knowing this was going to get ugly but also knowing he wasn't going to let them take her without a fight. Abductor(s): Abby was out cold. The man that was carrying her off, felt the weight of something upon both him and the girl as the other guy had turned moments to fire his dart gun. He missed the first time and lifted to take a second shot, but it was to late. The second man moved into to wrestle TC off the first man. This enabled the first man to stumble to his feet, to collect Abby and hurried off. The second man was left behind to handle the girls friend. At any and all cost. As the first man carried Abby back to the van, once they were within sight, it was cranking up and the van door slid open so both men could get the girl in. The door was closed and they sped off. /d T C Beckwith: First instinct was to kill the bastard, but TC knew damned well he was no good to them dead and the longer they fought the further the van got and the more cold and calculating he became. The two grappled and finally TC got the man in an arm bar, legs locked around his throat, his weapon arm caught in hand and he just ... squeezed, and continued to do so until the bastard passed out. Then and only then, once he was certain the fucker was out, did he let him go. He checked to make certain he hadn't killed the bastard, and then patted himself down, looking for his phone. When he finally pulled it free of his pants pocket, he dialed Mars.

ChildoftheMoiria: The day at an end David found his way at last down to the harbor. He was dressed in a pair of cargo shorts and safety orange running shoes and a black tanktop. He was sitting on a bench facing the habor sipping on a bottle of Coke Zero watching a cruise ship in the distance. The sound of the water lapping against the piers and the distant buzz of the night owl segment of the city's population were the only distractions from what was going on in his own head.
FlawIess Energy: Avary apparently had a similar idea as she was dressed in yoga pants, a tank top and a matching hoodie, that for the time being, was tied around her waist. She had an ipod cliped in place and ear plugs in. Hair was up in a pony tail. She had beenjogging and now that she reached the harbor, she was slowing down to a walking pace. Mind on the music and eyes on the scenery. Sneakers made little sound, but as she continued forward, he was likely to spot someone off in the distance. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David had not been running despite the outfit. He was just wearing the gear because.. well because it was clean. He saw someone in the distance but paid it no or little mind. He was thousands of miles from the harbor at the moment. The phone in his pocket though pulled him back as it began to play the Darth Vader entro from Star Wars. Avary was likely to far to hear it though or to see his eyes roll as he answered. "Hello dad, whats going on...." -d
FlawIess Energy: Avary continued on her trek forward, and as she looked up ahead, she could see someone sitting on a bench. There were others walking and jogging, some just there for a leisurely stroll to enjoy the view. As Avary neared the person on the bench, she noticed he was becoming more and more familiar. Once close enough, she realized it was David, but slowly walked as he was on the phone and she didn't wish to interuppt. [d]
And So She Fell: A man on the bench, a woman walking that way, a runner passing, a woman pulling on the unruly puppy off that way and here she was watching the twinkling of the lights just beyond. Darkness already settled and there were flashed of green glow, the fireflies were playing hide and seek with another. "Easy." The woman seemed to be coming her way as Ella paused and held the black English Mastiff's lead. "Down." The dog wasn't a small horse she was walking with, but he could very well have been. Moving in front of Moses, just in case. This big dog is an attention whore. Ha! He spotted the woman after sitting on command, soon he was inching toward her. He knew how long his lead was and Ella went back to watching the ships off that way. (D)
ChildoftheMoiria: "No, I am not willing to do that..... Yeah sure ok. I will call you tomorrow." David's part of the conversation. They were always brief these days. David knew he would need to check on things there soon. If he would go using a physical method though was in question. Did he dare leave his body here unguarded? A tap to the phone's screen ended the call. David brought his eyes up to spot Avary just a short distance away. "Well hello there Avary." David lifted off the bench as he spoke. His eyes shifted to the massive dog inching closer and his grin widened. The cause, well like many others he was a dog person.. mainly because the damn things could not talk and tended to not be judgmental. "Out running so you can make sure you are able to keep up?" The question posed as his attention shifted back to Avary. -d
FlawIess Energy: Avary noticed the woman with the huge hor..dog. And while she liked dogs, this was a massive beast and so she was of course just a little leery. As long as he didn't bark or growl at her, she'd be okay. As her nervousness settled in the lights over head that lined the area they were in, flickered a bit. Calm yourself Avary. She kept telling herself. She gave the woman a smile, but her attention was soon back on the familiar face of David. "Hey David... and no.. I am not out running so I can make sure I'm able to keep up. I'm out running because I enjoy it. And despite what you think... I can and I will keep up." she stuck her tongue out at him then and chuckled softly. [d]
And So She Fell: Max wasn't far off behind the woman, and well, Max and Moses were really good friends, but there were new people close by and involved, so Moses kept inching his way toward the aquainted couple. Ella held the retractable lead, but the beast was smart enough to know how far he could get without getting her attention and when he was that close, it would be too late and well, he'd have new friends, can't blame the beast for trying to be social since that's the way he was raised. Max ran into an old friend, but kept Ella's location on his radar, he was actually coming to possibly take Moses from her, depending on what was going on. Moses watched the woman move, oh she wants to play -- he'd move an inch, she'd watch and move an inch. The man was smiling, yes, he has excellent night vision, so that was his invitation to come closer and he was soon on the bench next to David taking up what the man didn't like that was his place to be there. Ella didn't see Avary's smile simply because she wasn't watching that way, as far as she was concerned her beast of a dog was doing as commanded, but she was wrong. He slipped out of his lead and just moved over to the bench like he owned the place expecting someone to pet him now. (d)
ChildoftheMoiria: David let out a soft bit of laughter when Avary stuck out her tongue at him. "Mhmmmmm" It was all he had time for before the fur invasion. He felt the dog before he saw him. It only caused him to laugh a little more. His hand fell in to the mountain of fur and scratched softly. "Well hello there to you as well." It was a good thing the dog was social and even tempered. David knew the kind of damage a dog of that size could do to a person. His family raised and training shepards.. and Moses there was even bigger still. "I think I made a new friend" David offered to Avary with a wink. "I never heard from you or Bren so I came to watch the ships..." Avary might or might not notice David did not have on his gloves tonight. -d
FlawIess Energy: Avary tended to inch away. Not because she was scared of the dog, but she didn't want to hurt it. Animals tended to sense that whole electrical charge she had about her. Their senses were much keener than the average human. The closer the dog got, the more she tried to keep a little more distance between them. But she did smile, watching David pet him. He seemed like a well behaved doggie. "I think you have to. You seem to be pretty good at that. Making friends that is." she replied with a smile. The lil southern belle noted the wink and she grinned. Bit at her lip a moment in a bashful kind of way. "I'm sorry... I didn't think you'd want me calling so soon. I don't wanna scare you or anything. " she replied. Truth was, she had wanted to call, but thought better of it. And as for his gloves, she hadn't. Not until he started petting the dog. [d]
And So She Fell: Moses's tag hung around his neck, a rather ornate looking piece of tooled leather and etch Celtic like charm with the letters MOSES. When David started to pet him, Moses crowded him for more attention leaving nothing for the woman. If she wanted a kiss, he'd give her one, a BIG-wet and sloppy one. It was a good few minutes before Ella realized the lead seemed lax, so she gave a tug and it moved without any pull, it was enough that she looked down expecting Moses to where she told him to sit. No dog and an empty leash. The first thought was panic, but he knew enough not to wander very far or she would have heard screams from a monster that big. Looking around, she saw it all. Moses wasn't like any other beast Avary had met, his owner wasn't like anything else here either, he was used to different. Ella was going to correct Moses, but since he didn't wander far, she let him socialize as long as the other two were comfortable with it. A glance over her shoulder and she stared there for a few minutes before picking up the lead and holding it. Really the lead was more for the laws in this city than for a beast who would do what he wanted. The couple was talking, so she crouched down and looked back over the water. Moses was fine getting attention from his new friends. (d)
ChildoftheMoiria: David continued to pet the dog watching Avary kind of step back a little. He was pretty sure the owner would fetch the dog when she realized. For the moment though he would enjoy the enthusiastic company. He could not have an animal in the space he lived in and missed the company they provided. "Well I will let you decide when you would like to use it. I don't scare easy..." True story there after some of the things he had been told of late. He offered Avary a smile when she made her observation of him. "I have always gotten along well with animals. Some times even better with them than people." David saw the name tag but turned his head to read it rather than touching it. His hands were the conduit for a few of his abilities... and he was trying hard to learn to live again without the gloves.. harder than it appeared at times. -d
FlawIess Energy: He didn't seem put off by the vibes that most might so she slowly and carefully reached over with a small hand and began to pet and scratch. In the process, her hand may or may not brush David's and if it had, he'd feel something of an electric discharge. Maybe even see a small spark. Like that of static electricity. She wouldn't say anything or apologize for it. Not unless he reacted. Had to blend it. Maybe even blame it as just that, static discharge. More people had fell for that than she could count. "How about this week or weekend sometime? I'm free except on Friday night." she replied. "But if you prefer me to call you... I can." she pretend to pullout her phone right then and there but didn't. Not yet. "Me to... mostly. Some tend to be skittish of course." she added. "Animals accept you, unconditionally.... its really nice. Wish people were like that too." Sounded as if Avary was speaking from experience. Which she likely was. A glance and smile to the woman before she was looking back to David and thought about retracting her hand. [d]
And So She Fell: Max was still off in the distance talking to his friend. Ella didn't feel it necessary to interrupt Moses. When Avary reached out and touched him, he licked her hand. He liked the static on his tongue so much that he jumped up a little. Yeah, nothing like a 250 lb dog ready to play with you. Moses thought she was going to play magic with him, he's pretty good with the strange games. Then he head butted David playfully for more scratches. When Max heard Moses playful growl he laughed and started to close up things with his friend. Ella turned to make sure everything was well and it was. Soon enough Max said his goodbyes and headed that way. "David, man how are you doing?" Offering his hand. "You know Moes?" Moses barked playfully at Max. "Easy." Max sat up and put his ears up. Ella saw Max, so she had no need to move at all now, Moses listened to Max better than he obey her. "What's up man?" He nodded to Avary. "Evenin' Gabriella." Max turned his attention back to Avary and David. (s)
ChildoftheMoiria: David had noticed the woman holding the leash looking their way. She seemed content to let the behemoth receive some attention so he did not bother to relent in providing it. Nope no touching David saw Avary approach cautious like to pet Moses and made sure his hand was away from hers by a few inches. The last thing he needed was a use of his power. At times it was strong enough to leave him with a headache for hours and even cause nose bleeds. Avary asking about setting things up got a bit of laughter from him. "I am sure I can find time. Keep in mind I'm on call almost all the time for right now. I just started so I don't want to piss my boss off by being out of the loop." He had no clue that Avary had a problem with tech. The approach of Max drew David's attention. "Max how's the cities best roast master doing?" David thought of trying to get to his feet... but well 250 lbs of dog kept him in place. "Nope not before a few moments ago... Max this is my friend Avary, Avary this is Max he runs the cafe over at Tela." David made the introductions.-d
FlawIess Energy: Avary chuckled. The dog was pretty friendly, though, attention shifted back to David and she nodded. "I understand. If we make plans and they fall through, we'll just try again some other time. Or if we go and you have to leave early.... same thing, just try again another night." Avary gave him a smile. Attention was soon divided though as another man approached. She gave a nod and smile and before long, introductions were made. "Nice to meet you Max." [d]
Guyver HellSpawn: Snap snap went the camera shutter as the young lad began taking pictures of the view. The moon and star light reflecting on the water at night time. Click, click and a few more pictures were taken. It was a lovely night tonight and he enjoyed the scenery under moonlight. Everything looked so different then they did in the light of day. He was readjusting the strap holding his violin case on his shoulders. He had to find something better to use for when he wanted to carry his camera and violin with him everywhere he went. It was an extension of his being and very rarely did he leave his shop or go anywhere without both of them or one of the two items. He walked slowly down the street leading to the waterfront in just a casual pair on walking shoes, light blue jeans, white shirt with a violin covered by a triangle on the front. He looked no older then eighteen if he even was that going by his youthful appearance. Maybe a new inspiration for a picture collage or a new song would be found tonight.D
And So She Fell: "Nice to meet you Avary. It's good man, it's really good. How about you? Enjoying the night and the beast master." He chuckled. "Moses .. David, David, Moses. Ella is over there." He mentioned the boss a time or two. The mention of the strange woman who wandered the halls talking to herself covered with paint. Yeah, she's been half dressed a few times and it looked like she was a recluse from the asylum rather than .. well. Again, Ella wasn't paying attention to the direct conversation. Max put a finger to his head as if saying the crazy woman. It was all in good fun, really. Cracking his neck, he stood there laughing as Moses almost in David's lap. "Nice to meet you." Max offered. "You causing more trouble David?" Max laughed remembering one night when it was late and the energy in Muse. (d)
ChildoftheMoiria: "What ever is clever Avary. Thank you for being understanding." David offered his reply to the mention of meeting up later in the week. The dog next to him and comfortable enough that Avary and Max would not touch him David let himself honestly relax. His blue eyes turned to Ella off to the side and he gave Max a bit of a nod. "So that is her huh. Awesome." She seemed off in her own world so David refrained from calling out to her. "Not me bud, I'm just here taking in some moon light. The water is a good element for relaxation and meditation. Here is ok when I can't make the hike up to one of the mountain lakes for a few days camping." Avary had it right.. David had made friends quickly in the city. -d
FlawIess Energy: Avary continued to pet Moses a bit longer as gaze shifted between the two men, then to the woman and then back to Max. A single dark thin brow arched. Though, she had offered David a nod and smile with his reply. For now, she was content being the quiet observer. [d]
Guyver HellSpawn: He finally reached the water front and how had a good angle for his shot. He did pick up on conversations just an ear shot away from his current location. Locals he was guessing by the sound of things. America was such a different country then he was use to. A few more shots were taken before he moved to find a new spot with better lighting to take another picture.[d
And So She Fell: Ella finally stood up and looked over at the small gathering. Really she was off, not completely off her rocker, but the longer she was here, the more the unseen revealed to her and it was hard to keep the conversations going when there was little involved on her end. Moses watched her get up, but he didn't move. "Yeah, that's it. Maddy was talking about you the other day, apparently Ginny said something about you dude. Ask Maddy next time you are in." Ella looked like a fairly normal woman with the long gypsy skirt on an sweater. Deciding to move on for the moment, she headed toward the water's edge. Moses watched her, and almost moved, but he looked at Max. He put his hand up for him to stay put. "I didn't mean to interrupt." Between Avary and David, he's not muscling in on a dude's right to try and get whatever it was. (d)
ChildoftheMoiria: David split his attention between Max, Avary and Mose rather well. The small knot of people clustered around what had been him sitting on a park bench and in truth a little home sick. As usual the fates provided distraction for him. "I will remember to ask her next time I'm in. I need to pick up some of your whole beans anyway." Because.. well he was a coffee junkie. He was also the person in there who stuck out like a sore thumb. His look all but screamed military still right down to the close cropped hair. When Moses acted like he wanted to move David lifted his hand up accidentally brushing Avary's. His eyes shut for a moment and his smile slipped for a split second. He did not notice the spark if there was one though. As quick as it was gone his smile returned though. "You are not interrupting dude, we are just catching up. Planning on going for a run this weekend." -d
FlawIess Energy: Avary continued to remain quiet but when David's hand accidentally brushed her own, there had been that spark. Literately. But it wasn't something painful, just more like being caught off guard and maybe spooked was how most people reacted. Though, she glanced to David and gave an apologetic smile. Small. Just in case. And then when David assured Max he wasn't interrupting anything, Avary nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we're just catching up and making plans for later is all, no biggie." she assured the man. "Besides, I have to call him to make it official." she said, a tease of course, at David. Gaze slid from Max to David and she grinned before looking back to the man and Moses. [d]
And So She Fell: "Yeah, me too with this beast." Moses sat up on the bench watching all of them as Ella kind of vanished into the murkiness of the night near the water. Moses turned his head and playfully barked at Max while he jumped off the bench to get some more attention from Max. "I'll have Maddy put them out for ya man. Sounds like fun." He grinned at Avary." Max wasn't super human or anything, so anything between the dark he was clueless about. "David, you're making a chick call you for a date?" Max grinned and shook his head. "You better not let that out, Maddy might not give you the beans." Grinning as Moses head butted his leg. "I'm gonna get going, need to get this beast walking. Nice seeing ya man. Come around to Muse Avary, I'll buy you a cup of Joe." (d)
Guyver HellSpawn: That was the last picture he needed and Caleb would place his camera back in its case. Peaceful night indeed, a warm smile spread along his face as he unzipped his violin case and pulled it out. Grabbing his bow out of the case and zipped it closed. He held the violin up to his chin and draw the bow across the strings, letting out a long, slow melody with each long pass he made. The sound or song he was playing was a melancholy one, befitting the mood of the scenery and his current thoughts at the moment. He has not had to chance to practice since he came out here so tonight seemed as good as any to do so. d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David turned his head taking note of the shutter bug clicking away at the surroundings. Hanging out at the Muse he was getting used to the weird artsy type people. If the guy caught him looking David would just give a nod of his head. As Avary backed up his comment he turned his head and flashed her a smile. "What I need one personal call on here. Otherwise if looks like I'm a sympathy case who only talks to his parents or work." David countered back. He would not mention what popped into his head. He did not often admit he was anything but what he appeared to be. "Plus I can teach you some of the cadence we use when out PTing.... sounds fun huh." David quipped to Avery teasing her. Max calling him out on having Avary call him had him laughing. "Well don't tell her, I need my bean fix man, help a brother out!" David was laughing as he spoke. In his head he was not thinking date.. he was thinking getting together for a run. He was still smarting over his last heart break and would be for a good long while."Take care Max, I will be by there maybe tomorrow before or after work.." His attention turned again at the sound of the music being played. Nothing like music to attract at least his attention.-d
FlawIess Energy: Avary's arm crossed over her chest and sheleanedagood majority of weight to one leg rather than distrubting it evenly. A shapely hip sort of jutting out. She couldn't help but chuckle and gave a shake of head at the teasing and the antics. Avary didn't want to sayit was a date, but shedidn't want to say it wasn't. She was rarely one to label anything unless someone asked and well, while it was no secret she thought David attractive, she wasn't looking to start anything more than friendship. If anything developed, it would happen on its own. "It was nice to meet you Max and I'll keep that in mind." she replied. "Have a g'evening." she added, to see him and the others off. She looked back to David and cheeks were pretty red. As to why? Was anyones guess. [d]
And So She Fell: Max laughed. "I got your back man, I got your back." Moses took off in the direction Ella went and there was a loud splash. Someone was going swimming. Max took off in that direction and he was roaring with laughter. The music was nice, but he couldn't help laughing. Moses tackled Ella into the water, they both went swimming. A little while later Ella left Max and Moses, the music heard but she was wet and it was a long walk back to Tela. She walked passed Avary and David, but kept to herself, it was better than interrupting. Yes, she is soaking wet. The wet dog was going in the other direction, Max could be thanked for that. (d)
Guyver HellSpawn: He gave a small chuckle to the sound of water splashing and the cause for the incident. He continued to play, letting the music flow through him as he shut his eyes and tuned out the distractions of the world. Staying in America for a while was going to be an interesting experience.d]
ChildoftheMoiria: A glance back to Avary showed her red faced in the moons light. The splash in the direction Max and Mose had gone had his head shaking. At least the weather was warm.. well for here it was warm. He nodded to the music man. "Lets go listen..." David was easing off the bench and glancing back to see if Avary would follow along. He would get within twenty feet or so of the musician and settled down in the grass not wanting to interrupt the flow of music. -d
FlawIess Energy: Avary watched as the other took off and... went for a swim? She chuckled to herself but then the others parted eventually. Leaving her and David there to continue catching up. When he suggested they go listen, she nodded and followed. When he took a seat in the grass, Avary didn't seem to mind doing the same and plopped down beside him, sitting indian style. She didn't sit to close, but close enough where they didn't invade each other's personal spaces. Could speak softly if they wanted and still be heard well. [d]
Guyver HellSpawn: The tempo had be slow and steady but began to rise up in speed. The movement of the bow across the strings had quickened as the song began its transition from a melancholy song to a more jovial one. There was no perfect setting in his mind then a peaceful night with a friend or one you care for. Under the pale moon light with a gentle breeze and music to complete the tranquility of the night.[d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "He's talented..." David leaned to whisper as the man played on. A bit of amusement in his eyes as he continued. "It's a violin.. that is kind of like a fiddle to you people in the South." He was teasing of course unable to resist teasing her about her place of birth. He leaned back up though and moved his legs out in front of him. The sky was clear enough that shafts of moonlight acted as spot lights here and there. He listened as the song swept up in tempo and mood becoming more light hearted. It suited the evening to it's core as far as David thought. Other than the teasing comment though he kept quiet wanting the song to last to the end. -d
FlawIess Energy: Head canted and she seem to really enjoy the tempo of the music. Even as if shifted from something slow and alluring to something more upbeat and vivacious. When David leaned, she didn't look to him. Not right away. It wasn't until he gave his tease that she shot him a look and smirked. "Careful city boy, gonnabite off more than you can chew." she teased back. Smirk shifted to an amused smile and big brown eyes slowly turned back to the musician. Still sitting indian style, arms stretched back and palms braced against the grass as she leaned back. Avary enjoyed all types of music. Well.... all but a couple, but then who could blame her? Gangsta rap? Bands that screamed instead of sing? No thank you. [d]
Guyver HellSpawn: He smiled as he continued to play. He was always appreciative to those who listened to his music and appreciated the subtle taste of classical music in this contemporary age of hip hop , rap, rock and roll and so forth. He kept the tempo at a steady rhythm only going fast or slow at random times. It seemed so sudden when he did but it was to keep a song from sounding too predictable tonight as he was practicing out new rhythm styles and how different tempos of speed could affect the overall quality of a song and the moods that were triggered within.[d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David bottled up his laughter out of respect for the performance from the musician. He did lean to whisper again. "You can't smoke me..." He grinned and leaned back once more. He leaned back to look into the clouds. He let his mind wander along with the seeming random changed in the tempo of the song. Music... there was nothing he did not listen to. From the kind being played even now to the more extreme kinds Avary did not care for. He of course had his favorites.. but he was able to admit and recognize talent when it was on clear display no matter the style it came in. -d
FlawIess Energy: Avary cut her eyes back to David and shook her head. Boy he was gonna be eating crow soon. Maybe evena bit of humble pie for dessert. The thoughts that entered her mind, caused her to chuckled to herself. She was so gonna enjoy proving him wrong and she had every intention of doing JUST that! She leaned in toward him, still wearing the smirk, but eyes were still on the musician. "We'll see about that..." she whispered back. Then was leaning back into her previous position. Brows arched and she glanced skyward for a moment, then looked to a few nearby trees as the leaves rustled from the breeze. Chin slightly lifted and eyes closed. Kind of reminded her of those nights she went walking down the dirt road at night at home. Just enjoying the sounds of the wind and the animals, domestic and wild. Plenty to be heard when raised on a farm. [d]
Guyver HellSpawn: The song continued at its current pace where it then began to speed up quickly once more. He would maintain the faster upbeat flow of the song for several minutes. Then a gradual descent slowly so as to not lose that tempo. The ascent and descent of the song help reflects the sudden mood spikes and swings within people and actions of nature itself. From the highs to the lows, making one steady continuous flow. The song began to slow down till it came to a gradual stop to mark its completion. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: The challenging words from Avary only further amused David from the scrunched up face he gave her. Again he even stuck out his tongue at her after lifting his head. David settled back in knowing time would tell. He let the music wash over him as the musician played on. David went so far as to close his eyes and just listen. As the song slowed and the sounds of the park began to take hold once more he sat up his hands lifting to clap together for a moment as he spoke. "Well played sir. A very nice bit of music.." -d
FlawIess Energy: As the music continued, Avary simply sat and listened and as it began to come to a conclusion, she sat up. She looked to the man and smiled. Hands dusted grass off and then she was clapping softly. "That was nicely done sir." she added. Quietly though, she looked to David and smirked, leaning in. "That was mighty fine fiddln' if I ever did hear it." Avary stuck her tongue out at him and then quietly laughed. [d]
Guyver HellSpawn: Caleb took a small bow and smiled warmly. Speaking in his native mixed Scottish / Irish accent." I thank you for listening and the kind words and applause. I hoped it did not disturb your evening this night. Just a bit of practice for some of the pictures I have taken. I like to make songs to capture the imagery of a picture since paintings can capture and hold a mood or feelings well. A photo often does not so I like to make music every now and then to help capture the setting in the image. I hope you two nights are going well?'
ChildoftheMoiria: "Disturb, not in the least. I could rather use the word enhanced." David replied before he grew quiet to listen to the remaining comments. By the end of it he was nodding along in agreement. Of course he was altering the terms in his head framing them in concepts he was more familiar with to gain context. He found it helped him view things a little different when he actually took the time to try and view the world through the lens of another person. "The night has been good. What would a man complain about. It's not raining currently and my friend and I got to hear some good music. I'm David by the way and this is Avary.." As he offered the introduction David climbed to his feet. There was no offer of his hand though. While he accepted hand shaking as a custom he had never been one to be the first to offer such a thing.-d
FlawIess Energy: Avary gave a shake of her head to the musician and smiled. "Wasn't any kind of disturbance sir. And I'd have to agree with my friend here, I'd say enhanced is a better term." Yeah, she wasn't from around here. Southern accent was a dead give a way every time. Made her stick out like a sore thumb. She nodded and listened as the man gave his explanation. "Makes perfect sense really. If paintings can speak to ya, I don't see any reason why pictures can't. And as for music... music sets the tone in movies, or opera... No reason the same can't apply here." she added with a smile. When David made introductions, Avary was pushing up and dusting off hands and her bottom and adjusting the hoodie tied about her waist. [d]
Guyver HellSpawn: It was fine as his hands were currently full with his violin and bow and keeping the straps of his camera case and violin case from falling off. "Pleasure to meet you both, I am Caleb. Visiting this country since it is the last place for me to visit from my world tour. A pleasure to meet new people when you are a visitor to another's country. I am glad you liked the music and it's enhancing effects. Something I was going for since the night was so wonderful, I figured some music would top it off and make it perfect."
ChildoftheMoiria: David nodded a spark lighting up. He had heard about the man when at the Muse. A few of the artists had been chattering about his arrival. Davis was not one to be star struck though and nodded politely to the mention of the tour. "I remember hearing about you from some of the locals. Welcome to the city though I'm sure you have heard that by now and from more important people than a stranger." David glanced over to Avary dusting herself off and his grin grew. He was so tempted to tease her about getting dirty but kept from doing it with some effort. "It's nice of you to come play in public.. and I do hope you enjoy your time in the city." -d
FlawIess Energy: "Nice to meet you Caleb." she replied. She too wouldhave offered ahand shake but... she had her own reasons for not doing so tonight. She'd already been anxious of sorts, and her emotions tended to affect her control of her abilities. Abilities she liked to keep hidden. Very few people knew what she was capable of. But it didn't make her any less dangerous. Not that she would be considered such, really, on purpose. "Yes, welcome... I hope you settle in nicely and all goes well in your new transition." she added. Keep atit sunshine! She was gonna get him eventually. Some how. Some way. [d]
Guyver HellSpawn: His face lit up when mention he was heard about. "Yes there was announcements and leak rumors of me coming here which are no longer rumors. I was not sure what reception to expect coming here. I think the average person does not follow opera or classical orchestra or so I have been told about in some places l like America. The music is not,,the term is mainstream, Yes? It is my pleasure to play in public, I believe art of any form should be shared and appreciated for the whole world to enjoy. I am glad to meet new faces, I have not had the opportunity to meet the local Seattle residents that were not of the media or those strange stalkers. " He smiled once more, a very pleasant chap once you got to know him, all part of aristocratic upbringing to be proper and polite. Well mannered when the family reputation and image had to be upheld. Still Caleb McCandless tried his best to not become the rich snobs he met in his life.
ChildoftheMoiria: David grinned at the way the man's face brightened at his mention of hearing about him. In the end it was one of his traits.. to feel useful in some task no matter how small. "If you want a proper recpetion you should stop by the Tela. It's a community of artists here in the city. It was there that I heard about you. I'm sure you would have a number of fans once word of you being there spread through the center." David had to admit he thought it weird the man had stalkers. He knew it happened to rock stars.. but to other kinds of musicians. It was something he had never thought of before. "If people are giving you trouble stalking you.. you should report it to the local police though. Stalking can lead to some rather serious things." -d
FlawIess Energy: Avary nodded softly as gaze shifted between David and Caleb. Her attention equally divied between the two men. She listened as she learned that Caleb was some what known. That was always nice. "No, but there are a few of us out who enjoy this kind of music, still." she replied. Though, brows pinchd together as he mentioned stalkers. That had her shuddering. Never a good thing.Avary nodded in agreement with David bout calling the authorities. [end]
Guyver HellSpawn: He smiled and laughed softly. " You are both very kind and the warm welcome is much appreciated. I will have to make a stop at this Tela place sometime, maybe even play there. A new setting could give me inspiration for my work. Thankfully the stalkers were not the same number or type as rock stars get. Was surprising to me at first when I started out, such odd behavior to obsess over someone from afar to stalk after them. Thank you for that advice. If they do become a problem, I will notify the authorities. I just hope it never comes to that. Stalkers and annoying paparazzi truly the bane of artist everywhere since the beginning of its inception I reckon. " He will begin to unzip his violin case and carefully put the bow and violin away and zip the case close. " If you would be so kind as to inform me of the Tela location, I would be much obliged. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: It was all about playing to the audience right. Caleb would bomb at a rock bar just like Stone Sour would not do well at a high socity garden party. "I will have to keep an ear out for news from there then. After tonight I may come see your full show." David listened as Caleb mentioned more about the stalkers. He reached into one of the pockets of his cargo shorts. Drawing out his wallet he found the object of his search. One of Krystal's cards. He pulled a pen out and jotted down the address of the Tela for Caleb. "Here, I work for one of the best security people in the city. The number is on the front. The back is the address for the Tela" David offered the card out to Caleb. It never hurt to try and drum up business. If he could help land another high profile client then it only ment more job security right.-d
Guyver HellSpawn: He smiled and took the card and pulled out his wallet and slid it right in. "I am most fortunate to meet you Sir David. I have recently open a shop here which doubles as a home living quarters for me and my group and our hard working assistant, who now helps manage the shop when I am away. I may just need some of that fancy American security I've heard so much about installed over at my shop. Oh yes, here." He would hand David a card with the number and location of his shop that was simply called, Silver Age. " It is a new age shop and I am working on renting out space to healers and the like, for their use and to fellow artists. Even setting up some photography stuff for if people want to have their picture taken as well or even rent out a photographer. I am a freelance photographer by trade, more of a fun hobby when not doing my violin work. Helps to keep my mind busy and get new ideas flowing in. Feel free to mention it to anyone who might be interested. "
ChildoftheMoiria: The encouraging words about needing more security had him develop a grin from ear to ear. Work was work.. but high profile work brought in a good bit more high profile work as people often spoke well to friends if you did a good job for them. David listened to Caleb speak about the shop and nodded his head. He had seen several so called healers in the area. He found them to be frauds for the most part and so they had been less than helpful with his problem. "I will be sure to start to pass your name around with pleasure. If that does not do enough to buzz your name up call me. I can have your name on the local blogosphere in no time." -d
Guyver HellSpawn: "The number to call you is the shop one Yes? You are most kind to a semi complete stranger. I am glad to have run into some nice Americans here. A much more pleasant welcoming experience then running into a mugger or overly rude people. It is always hard when moving from country to country, city to city. Meeting new people who would not try to take advantage of you and are kind because they of of a good nature. " He closed his eyes and gave that youthful boyish smile of his which was just part of his personality. He always tried to keep in good high spirits which always helped to keep harmony among his band mates.
ChildoftheMoiria: "You can reach me through that number. Just asked for David. To get the security ball rolling though you would need to speak with Mz Flake." Polite civility was just a natural habit for David. He found it defused much of the tension some of the more hostile people around him seemed to have had. Fates knew it often kept his team calm and saved their collective asses more than once. "Well I'm glad you count this as a pleasant experience. I assure you that the feeling is mutual." David glanced over at Avary who he assumed was plotting some kind of path to manage to smoke him.. not that he believed it would happen. -d
Guyver HellSpawn: He looked at the two of them trying to guess what the relationship was between the two of them. " Ms Flake is nice as well? I hope. Yes, a most pleasant meeting indeed you and your lovely girlfriend have been most kind to me. " So far meeting the locals have gone very well for Caleb. Hopefully good fortune will continue flowing his way.
FlawIess Energy: Avary had grown quiet for a few reasons. One it was interesting to just listen to others. She was one that believed you didn't always have to offer something to the conversation, to find it interesting. Two, when you listened and watched, you could learn a great deal about people. Though, as the guys continued to chat, it was a remark Caleb made that had her wanting to laugh. Why did everyone assume they were dating or were a couple? Okay, so she thought him attractive and he had said she was pretty... but that didn't mean squat for anything solid. They were just friends. She glanced and smiled, cheek tinted again. A small shake of head in amusement. "Well, it was a pleasure meeting you as well Caleb. I do wish you the best in all things to come." sweet smile followed. Seeemed things were dying down and the group wasmaybe about to break up? [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "Yes she is." As best he knew anyway. She seemed professional enough in Davids mind to be able to pull it off. He would have to drop her a line as a heads up that Caleb might be calling her about an offer for more work. Not knowing really what kinds of foces he was attempting to put in the same room with each other. When he called Avary his girl friend David just laughed. "We are just friends. She is to nice a girl to date a guy like me." He nodded along to Avary;s comment of it being a pleasure to meet him. "I agree with her on that. It was a pleasure to meet you."-d
Guyver HellSpawn: He smiled in a silly blush of embarrassment. "Oh Well, I thought. You both enjoy each other's company and seem to like one another and appear in the same age and good health. I thought it would be natural, I guess things are not simple here. I must learn these American customs. Forgive me, in my homeland, my papa once told me. When he met mama 'You good woman I/m Good man, what more is there to know?' Simpler time back then I guess. " He lifted the back of his hand to place behind his head as he let out a hearty kind laugh for feeling silly in his assumptions of the two of them. He did look like the innocent naive foreigner type with American customs with his current poster posture.*
FlawIess Energy: "Yes... just friends." she repeated with a smile. "And I'm not to nice for him.. I mean... well... yanno. " There she went with openmouth and insert foot syndrome. Nothing she said seem to come out how she meant. "I'm not that nice of a girl." There... she said it. She wouldn't say anything in response to the man's observations. People saw and read things differently and formed their own opinoins. It didn't mean they were wrong or right, just different. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David joined in the laughter with a smile not one to leave a guy hanging. Truth was it was a little humorious. He glanced to Avary when she put her foot in her mouth again. It was almost like shooting ducks in a frozen pond. "Ok I am the nice one.. she's as mean as a worked up rattle snake." David chimed in without missing a beat. What his mother said it was always less complicated to let a woman think she was right. -d
Guyver HellSpawn: "Ah well that makes sense. You seem like a nice woman to me Madam Avary, and Sir David. Good friends is always good to have. Friends and family helps make this world more bearable to live in I think. Certainly helps out a lot."
FlawIess Energy: Big smiles for David and Caleb. Both seemed like good men with a sense of humor. "David's right. I bite. " she said with a glance to David and a smirk. She then nodded and thanked him for the compliment. She glanced at her watch and realized it was getting late. "I look forward then maybe seeing your performance again soon. Maybe at the place David mentioned earlier" [end]
ChildoftheMoiria: David half expected to get slapped for that one so was a little on guard. When it did not come though he relaxed a bit. Avary looking at her watch had him plucking his phone out of his pocket. He glanced at the time and sighed. "Yeah it's getting late, I have work tomorrow. I will see or hear from you two soon I hope." -d
Guyver HellSpawn: "Yes, If anything any place with food or a park or open place where I can take pictures or play music, you will have a good chance of running into me. I look forward to meeting you both again, You will become my American tour guides and friends, YEs yes?" He gave that boyish innocent smile once again which made it hard to be uneasy or upset with him.
FlawIess Energy: She nodded with David's remark. It was getting late. She smiled to Caleb and nodded. "Take care." Gaze turned back to David. "I'll get with you soon then and we can make plans." she said as she began to lead the way back to where they had come from and then idly back toward the way she came from where her cruiser was parked. Hoodie was tugged free and slipped on over her tank top then. And when he wasn't looking? She did manage to thwap him playfully on the shoulder. Avary would get him back every chance she got, but not when he was expecting it! She stuck her tongue out at him. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "that I think I can handle Caleb." David toned as he nodded to the comment from Avary. He just laughed when he was stuck. "You can hit harder than that..." He called to Avary's back with laughter in his voice. Then he was off, fishing his truck keys from his pocket. Work would be calling in a few hours.. it was going to be pot after pot of coffee.. maybe he would break down and have a Monster or two. -d
FlawIess Energy: Avary was walking backwards and she did that whole I'm watching you gesture with fingers from her eyes to him and back. Then she was off to her ride. [d]
Guyver HellSpawn: Caleb watched the two of them leave. Maybe Americans were not as bad as everyone made them out to be. At least those two and two women he met at the dinner seemed nice enough. He would indeed have to play at the Tela place and would gladly give anyone a free performance if the wished. It was always good practice anyway to keep his skills sharp and better incentive to keep perfecting his skills. He gathered up his belongings and began heading on back to his Flat for some rest. ChildoftheMoiria: David's safety orange running shoes gripped the running path sending him on his way. He was in about two miles all together and showed no signs of slowing at the moment. A pair of basketball shorts where his only other attire. His tee shirt was draped around his shoulders. A strap held his Ipad in place and a pair of ear buds in place. his arms moved in time with each long stride. The park was full of people as day turned more and more to night. He noticed when the lights had started to pop on one after the other. Without losing a step he cracked open the water bottle in hand for a drink and kept going.-d
NightotheAngel: Kalypso needed to get away from the shop and things. And not thing about everything but it was hard not to. With the move and everything it was a bit much. She was a bit over whelmed and needed a place to clear her head. What better place then the park right? Especially at night.":: Soft smirk as she already knew how Sasha would react. How she needed to be more careful and things. She was dressed in a long sleeve shirt with a v neck cut since it was getting cooler out this evening and a pair of boot leg cut jeans. She didnt bother bringing her I pod this time. Although she was still figuring out where she put everything. Other then it being buried deep in a garbage bag at the house.::
ChildoftheMoiria: David was coming around the track and at last was slowing down. He was here for much the same reason. Running to stave off the growing unease he knew was a build up in his own head. He was panting softly as he rounded the last bend to an area of benches. By the time he arrived there he was down to a slow walk. He cracked the bottle open again and finished off the water as he walked a small circle to catch his breath. He noted the solo figure a good bit away but paid it no mind. The park was a popular place near the aquarim and market after all. -d
NightotheAngel: Kalypso noticed the man running and didnt say a word. She recognized him from the icecream shop and diner. All very public places. Raising a hand as she ran her fingers through her hair with a sigh. Moving to sit on the bench. The last thing she needed was to be run over by a runner for walking in their way. She wasnt sure if she ever been on this side of town before. Well anyplace that wasnt the shop, school or house was new territory to her. Soft smirk as she thought about things for awhile.::
ChildoftheMoiria: It was his hope that tonight at least with a full day of work in and the long run he would hit the sack tonight and not wake again before morning. Heading back along the bench he drew closer to the solo woman. It did not take him long to place the face. He had seen the girl at The Muse and then again with what David believed to be her dad outside the icecream shop. He stopped though a few dozen feet away and looked around. He was tempted to keep going and mind his own business, sorely tempted but the nice guy in him would have been kicking his head in on the way home. "Um hi, you ok kid?" Yeah he was so not used to dealing with situations of this kind. Hell he could be wrong and she just appeared alot younger than she was. -d
NightotheAngel: "Yes and no. But its nothing that I wont surivive. Its one of those things that takes time to get used to.":: Making a face as she spoke as if she was trying to find the right way of explaining things. Without giving away to much. She didn't mean to interrupt the guys work out. She was expecting him to run by and not think anything of it. Wow for once Kalypso wasn't telling someone to screw off or mind their own business or any of those other mouthy things that she usually follows up with. ::
ChildoftheMoiria: When she actually responded and just did not give him a blank stare David stopped. He offered a smile and nod of his head. "Life can kick you in the head sometimes. If you are sure you are good I'll head on and leave you be. Try and stay near the well traveled paths ok? I don't wanna read about you in the paper in the morning." Yeah if she told him to fuck off he would have gone on about his business and not thought anymore about the encounter. But well the kid had been nice at least so far. -d
NightotheAngel: "Yeah I guess this is my lifes kick me in the head time. ":: Smirks as she tries to alleviate some of the tension she was feeling.::"I will be okay. You can go ahead and finish your run. Its not me one has to worry about but the missing attacker is a whole other thing.":: teasing a bit as she relaxed in the bench a bit. Just contemplating everything that has been going on. Including the things she didn't want to face anymore then anyone else.::
ChildoftheMoiria: David pulled the shirt from across his shoulders. A quick shake out and he pulled it on. A faded image of Pinky and The Brain was the choice for the day. The bravado from the girl was given a laugh and shake of his head. he chalked it up to a teenagers feeling of immortality though. A moment of thought had him pulling out his wallet. He cracked it open and sorted quickly through a number of business cards. Once he found the one he was looking for he plucked it from the wallet and closed a little more to offer it out. "Here, it's for a hotline. If it gets to bad they have resources to help." Yup it was one of those don't kill yourself hot lines. "You did not stop my run.. I was just wrapping up about to head for my truck. And well you looked a little lost." -d
NightotheAngel: She reached out and took the card as she pocketed it in her back pocket.::"Thanks ":: If only he knew the truth he but it was one more person she couldn't fully be herself with. One more person who couldn't know the whole truth She looked to him.::"So, Superman are you trying to save the world one lost kid at a time.":: She wasn't so much lost as over whelmed emotionally. And she just didn't want to have to worry about anything. Yet she was the opposite and worried about everyone and everything equally to a point. She stretched as she sat on the bench.::
ChildoftheMoiria: The question caused a smile to spread across David's lips. "Nope far from Superman. I have been in some damn dark places though. In the end I'm just wanting to walk away from here knowing I did not just walk by" David knew all about not being yourself. He held back a good bit even from his friends. It was just the nature of his existence as much as it was hers.. not that either of them knew about the shoes the other one walked in. Once the card was taken though he eased back. -d
NightotheAngel: She softly smiled and nodded.::"Thanks. Its okay. You would be surprised how much of the world walks by without really noticing anything with all the technology now days between phones and computers. Its easy to miss the simple things. Okay so your not like superman your more batman. Since you both travel dark places.":: Yes she happened to accidentally down load a comic or two and read it. ::
ChildoftheMoiria: "The Dark Knight...I like that much better than Superman." David offered back with that smile still in place. The mention of toys and distractions only made the fact he was also an IT guy a little funnier. "Well like I said be careful out here and don't beat up to many muggers CatWoman.." David gave a shake of his head not knowing if the girl even knew who the hell he was talking about. Either way he hoped she would follow his advise and stick to the well lighted paths in the park. If not stopped he headed in the general direction of the parking lot. -d
NightotheAngel: She laughed a bit and nodded at his catwoman comment.::"Of course. Dont worry I will. Im okay. Just life handing lemons and trying to deal with it the best I can. ":: Smiles as she watches him go. her voice drifting off ashe headed toward the parking lot. Part of her wished Javin was there with her or Deacon or Graham. At least two out of three of those familiar faces would understand things. But, she knew she had to keep her mouth shut at all costs and not include any outsiders.::
ChildoftheMoiria: David turned to offer a final smile and comment. "Lemons.. freeze that shit and throw them at people you don't like..." David headed on his laughter in the air. Yup no clue about what was troubling the girl.. but at least he got her to laugh once. -d

KrystalFlake: Krystal might have thanked David for the sandwich, but she smirked at him before climbing in her Jeep and headed off right behind him out of the parking lot in. Pulling into her parking space she paused in the Jeep to slip off the heels she had been wearing and grab a pair of flip flops. Heels and grass didn't mix. Walking around behind it she grabbed a blanket out of the back as well as her sandwich to be able to have the food that would distract her even if it wasn't going to satisfy what was hungry right now. Walking around in front of her vehicle she glanced between the two of them waiting for them to get out and grab what they needed before trekking out off into the grass to find a good spot to settle down on. [d]
John Nolan Smith: Johnny pulled in beside them, the engine turned off and he slid out of the car. His lunch was pulled from the passenger seat and then he was locking up and moving to join the others. The weather it seemed was being agreeable. At least it wasn't raining. Of course that could change at any moment, but that was Seattle.
ChildoftheMoiria: David kept it on the slow side so no one got separated. Pulling into the space he climbed out of the truck. A foot up on a tire and he lifted himself up into the bed. A moment later he had the tool box open and was pulling out a blanket. A hand on the side once the box was closed and locked and he hopped out of the jacked up truck. He reached back into the cab for his food and coke. He locked the door and hip checked it closed. He fell in with Johnny and Krystal. "Lady's choice on the spot." –d
KrystalFlake: She opened her mouth to say something about the spot and decided against it. Johnny just met them no need to scare him right? He'd already gotten a head full. Nodding she started off and found a spot that was suitable for everyone and shook out the blanket in her arms, it was a little more away from everyone than most people might have picked, but she liked it that way. Gave her room to observe. She also settled herself into a position where it would be less of a hassle to look between the two of them in conversation. Her flip flops slipped off on the edge of the blanket before she settled down and curled her legs to one side and leaned her weight on her arm. [d]
John Nolan Smith: Johnny settled after crouching and plucking the laces of his shoes free, leaving the hiking boots at the edge of the blanket before he settled, cross legged, and looked around. "This is nice." He had to admit, Seattle was a city that could definitely grow on one.
ChildoftheMoiria: David followed along with a grin when Krystal seemed to almost say something but he ended up just shutting up and leading the way. David spread out his blanket leaving the two over lapping by six inches or so. He set his food down on his. leaning down he untied his boots and slipped them off. The socks followed and were stuffed into the boots. Footwear off to the side he moved to sit with his bare feet in the grass. "It's nice.. a big city were you can still get away from the bustle when you want to." –d
KrystalFlake: "I still miss the desert, but this isn't as bad as movies and people who hate it make it out to be." Sure there was a little less on the sunshine front, but it was beautiful and green. People seemed to be friendly and not as hurried as they were in most cities she had been to. She didn't bother to open the bag with her sandwich at the moment as she turned her head to look toward the water. Sitting up she gathered her hair up in her hands and twisted it into a bun on the top of her head. A few wisps came loose, but it was mostly secure. It let the cool breeze brush against her back where the back of the dress stopped midway up. Staying away from everyone also meant she wouldn't get any weird looks when people caught a glimpse of the ink that was on her back. [d]
John Nolan Smith: It wasn't the ink on her back that drew his eye, though note was taken. It was the stray curls that brushed her neck and shoulders; that area of a woman's body between mind and appetite upon which wars were often fought. Pulling his eyes away, he took in the scenery beyond the blanket. "Yeah, I can definitely see that. Idyllic places right up near the heart of the city that make it seem miles away, yet conveniently close at the same time."
ChildoftheMoiria: "Close to some good places to go ski and snowboard some winter." All in all David liked the area. It had been his first choice when he pulled the trigger on moving. His parents were still hoping he would return home, settle down and have his 1.5 children like every other normal person. He watched Krystal pull her hair up. He had seen the tats before but well you don't get tired of good art. "Don't forget the national forest. There are some great hiking trails around here too." –d
KrystalFlake: Her hand slid off the blanket and she traced her fingers through the grass, plucking a few pieces that she could dissect a little at a time. "I haven't been on any of the trails, but I'll have to check it out. I'm sure my boots are growing cobwebs at the moment." She let her eyes scan the people in the park and noted how close they were and no one was within hearing distance of them. There were the people playing with dogs and some playing with kids. Overall it was a quiet Sunday morning. Shifting she adjusted the skirt portion of her dress as she rolled over on her stomach. Legs bent up and crossing at the ankles while she continued to toy with the grass. [d]
John Nolan Smith: "I'll have to check those out." Johnny nodded as he watched those in the park enjoying themselves, strolling, walking dogs, playing Frisbee... He glanced at Krystal, admired the curves and then looked away. "We so should have brought a Nerf ball." He nodded. "Hindsight. Some boy scout I was."
ChildoftheMoiria: Well slightly off the beaten path David felt comfortable enough to lean back on the blanket leaving him looking up into the sky. "I think Bren likes to hike.. you should go out with one of us when we go. Either one of you." David was pretty sure Johnny would hit it off with Bren. Most people seemed inclined to be friendly with her. The mention of a Nerf ball had his head turning. "It's not a Nerf ball but I have a football in my tool box. If you like I could go get it." –d
KrystalFlake: She glanced over her shoulder at Johnny and laughed. "You two could have played. I am not running around in a dress." Her head had been tipped down enough to let those startling ble eyes settle on him for a moment and then she was looking back out over the park. Just a little bit of a shake to her head. She had laid down so that she was facing more of the park instead of looking at them. It kept her from sizing them up like a slab of beef in a butcher shop. "I'll have to ask her about it. It beats drinking at my bar in the dark for a good time." Krystal hadn't exactly been thinking about her attire and running into anyone she knew today or she might have opted for shorts or pants, but hey she couldn't let that dictate her wardrobe now could she? Fortunately the skirt was long enough to cover anything that might have been flashed otherwise and the soft material draped nicely over her curves. She wasn't not ashamed of her body by any means or she wouldn't be laying on her stomach kicking her legs slightly back and forth as they were crossed. And if Johnny had issues with the ink he wasn't saying anything so she wasn't trying to hide that or defend it. It was plain as day from the tops of her shoulder blades and disappeared down into the material. Wings, but not angels.. Looked more like bat, but would be demon to be precise. [d]
John Nolan Smith: "The real deal. Even better." Johnny nodded. Football hadn't been his thing growing up, it had been all about hockey, but he did enjoy a game of catch. Glancing back at Krystal he nodded. "That would probably be a dangerous thing." As for the ink he had no issue with it. It was her body she could decorate it any way she wanted.
ChildoftheMoiria: Focusing on anything else was a good thing. David was still trying to push out the images. While he did not have the hunger Krystal did.. it had been a good long while. Krystal's comment on running around in a dress had him laughing as he rolled up to his feet. "Maybe next time we should find a pool and enjoy the warm weather while it lasts." Because it was going to be damn cold come winter.. not to mention getting to see Krystal in a bikini would be a good thing. "I'll go get the ball..." David headed off not bothering with putting the boots back on. –d
KrystalFlake: She laced some of the grass in her hand together to create a braid. Maybe if she had enough she could make a bracelet. Definitely something she would be doing as she was watching them. "I'm sure someone we know has one. I hadn't really thought about it." Pausing she chewed on her thumb nail just a little bit as she thought about it. She couldn't recall anyone actually mentioning a pool. Did Bren have one? She hadn't noticed one when she was there, but then it was about the music that night. "There is going to be a mixer at a place called Drifters that I own. If you would like to come meet some new people. It's next weekend." She watched David get up to get the ball and allowed her eyes to follow him for a moment before looking back at Johnny. [d]
John Nolan Smith: Regarding her, Johnny smiled. "I would like that. I'll have to get directions from you." He watched her braiding the grass, "What day is it?" He looked toward David as he went to get the ball, then looked back at Krystal. "So what made you get into security?"
ChildoftheMoiria: Was it bad that David was hoping for a quick rain? The dress Krystal had on looked to be rather light weight and would likely cling nicely to wet skin. Yeah it was a good plan to head off to his truck for the foot ball. He stuck mainly to the grass as he was bare footing it there. When he arrived he was hopping into the back to begin to dig through the toolbox for the ball. He was not sure who had a pool and who did not. HE was unsure of Bren's place and the only other person's house he had visited was Krystal's. No pool there just a zombie gnome invasion. –d
KrystalFlake: "My father. He worked for some very bad guys and he did it for them. I just do it legally. Most of the time." Her father had worked for organized crime to some extent, but his job had been protection and assessing the threats so it was an inherited trait. "And it's next Saturday, date is the 13th I believe." If she pulled out her phone she could give him details, but she wasn't going for it at the moment. Yeah speaking of that invasion she had about died laughing when she saw it and it got to stay she didn't remove it. She just hadn't said anything to him about it. [d]
John Nolan Smith: "The thirteenth." Johnny nodded, "I will be there." Pulling his phone, he made a note in it, then slipped it back into his pocket. "Must be interesting, Security. Meeting new people, must be a lot of different folks needing your services."
KrystalFlake: She rolled over on to her side and propped up on an elbow. Long legs straightened out and she brushed her fingers over the skirt that wanted to inch up closer to her hip and reveal a little bit more. "I've worked in a lot of clubs and events. Security systems is always something I enjoy, but I do love being around people. Sort of an addiction I guess. Can't get enough of them." For they were tasty, no ketchup required to make them so. It was the truth she was more than happy to make a meal out of someone. Humans were just not normally more than a one night stand. They didn't have the juice to keep up most of the time. Of course if she had a few select ones she might rethink that, but most of the time she didn't want to deal with feelings and commitment conversations. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: He did not do it for praise or credit but to get a laugh. He was sure to get one when he returned to find them all still in place. The ball in hand and the truck locked up again he headed back for the two of them. HE spun the ball in his hands as he turned. He was also able to study the two of them with the approach. Back at the blanket he folded back down to sit on the blanket. He caught the second part of Krystal's comment. Yup he would keep quiet and try and catch back up on the exchange. –d
John Nolan Smith: "I see.... I mean I can imagine." He shook his head, and gave a slight chuckle, then looked at David. "We were just talking about business and how it was gotten into. What about you with IT, was it always something you wanted to do or did you kind of fall into it?"
KrystalFlake: Krystal just smiled at his answer about her people comment and looked at David as he settled on to the blanket. She knew how he got into the IT business. One leg stretched a bit and she brushed her toes against the grass. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David nodded and laughed at the question. "No well not like what I'm doing now. I have a double bs in mechanical and electrical engineering. My dream was the Army. I was in for less than a year when I was wounded in the line of duty. After that I was judged as unfit for service and discharged." As far as the Army knew he was suffering from PTSD and it got him out. At this point handling bombs.. well charged object plus his current level of dealing with his powers was not a thing that worked out in his favor. "I was doing this kind of stuff though all the time through school. Helping people set up and monitor systems. So I went from combat engineer to an IT jack of all trades." No reason to hide most of the story from people. "How about you, have you thought about life after teaching?" –d
John Nolan Smith: "I tried to go back after waking up. But my ... newfound ..." he shrugged, "skills tended to put people off. The kids were fine, the parents were freaked out. It became an issue, even as a sub, so... I quit. I've been more or less using it to help others."
KrystalFlake: "What kind of skills are those?" She paused her movement and lifted her sunglasses up from her eyes so that she was looking directly at him. She was slowly putting the pieces together with David and well knowing what kind of skills Johnny had might be helpful with that. Krystal's ability to do security really didn't have anything to do with her other special skills. It was just something she was good at naturally. The other part of her though that was a horse of a different color entirely. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: Well Johnny there was a lot more open about himself than David had expected him to be. He just nodded as if he totally knew what Johnny meant by the comment. "My aunt always told me I could not save the world." He glanced to Krystal when she asked the question. The little trick she pulled at the diner.. well he was pretty sure she was not exactly as she appeared to be either. However the question was Johnny's to answer or not. –d
John Nolan Smith: "Really? John Smith? Cleaves Mills, Maine? Traffic accident that put me in a coma for six years? I made the national news after saving most of a graduating class from burning to death in a restaurant."
KrystalFlake: David shouldn't think he was off scott free. She just might corner him to get him to talk to her beyond what he was hinting at himself. Then again she might leave it alone. It really did depend on her mood. Exposing herself was just one of those things she had to consider. She tilted her head to the side looking at him. She hadn't heard the part about where he was from since she had been on the phone. Slowly sitting up she took the glasses from off the top of her head and looked at him, really looked at him. "That part must have been when I was on the phone. That's you?" Legs curled to the side as she was looking at him and then she looked at David. "John Smith in a coma wasn't ringing any bells, but from Maine. I know who you are." [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David kind of frowned trying to recall the name. "I don't keep up with a lot of the national news. If it happened in the last year.. well I have had a lot on my plate." Yup he had his own shit to worry about without scanning for things happening what may as well have been a world away at the time. He ping ponged his attention between the two of them once Krystal admitted she knew who he was. Yup he may be cornered later and if it happened it happened. Krystal would not be the first person to figure it out. –d
John Nolan Smith: "It was several years ago, now, but at the time, I made quite a few waves. Waves that made parents uneasy and didn't want the 'freak of Cleaves Mills' teaching their kids. I guess I can't blame them. It was ... distracting." Shrugging, he plucked a blade of grass and rolled it between his fingers. "Did you know that scent you smell just before it rains, isn't from the rain itself but from the plants reacting to the changes in the barometric pressure?" He looked up at them, gaze slipping to each in turn.
KrystalFlake: John was one of those people that had a story like right out of a book. It was almost too hard to believe, but she was from a different world herself so hard to believe wasn't as hard. "I can understand a little bit more why you like it here." Bigger city, easier to not go noticed, but still a nice place to be. His personal life had probably been torn to shreds by the news though. That had to have been hard. "No, but then I was not a school teacher. I know my job pretty well though." She flashed a smile at him this time and relaxed again. "I'm sure helping people is distracting and unnerving to some. Shame more people don't see the advantages of your... gift." Because she'd rather think of it that way. If you could control it and not let it control you. Humans were weird about those things. What she had wasn't a gift, it was more of a birthright. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "Pretty bold to put yourself out there like that." It ran counter to his teaching to remain under the radar and help only when it did not cause clear exposure. The fact Krystal was not playing the role of skeptic earned her a few more points. The question about plants and changes in pressure.. yup he shook his head. "Nope not something I ever thought about before." –d
John Nolan Smith: "Not like I can hide it. I don't chase the press down, usually it's the other way around and they can be quite ... enthusiastic." He gave a nod. "And yes, it can be rewarding, but it can also lead to trouble. I was once arrested and tried for witchcraft." He shrugged. "It was the only thing they could hold me on while they tried to pin a double homicide on me."
KrystalFlake: Krystal had sex with people to feed off their energy skeptical would be a little on the hypocritical side in some way wouldn't it? She'd seen a lot more freaky shit than people being able to have an ability to touch things and know something about them. Of course that was a little on the strange side, but what was strange when you could control someone through the power of touch right? "A bolder move than I'd ever make I'm sure if I were in your position." Then again some people were just naturally moral by nature and didn't have that selfish instinct. "So do you think that you are safer here or you think it's matter of time before they catch up to you?" [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: Well David knew enough to know that while two of them could share traits in common what was true for him trails." He nodded along with Krystal's assessment of it being bolder than she would make in his place. "I have to agree with her. You never now how people are going to react to things." –d
John Nolan Smith: "No, and most of what I see is the... every day sort of thing. But on occasion, it's more. And it's on those occasions I find myself not able to hide what I know." He nodded. "And yes, people often look at me like I'm completely insane. Generally I can sway them to believing."
KrystalFlake: She didn't even want to know what either of them had seen touching her but she had a clue based on reactions. It made her smile and reach for a blade of grass. "I don't think you are insane." and she'd leave that explanation on its own. Those eyes cut over to David and then back to him with that smile on her lips. Reaching up she pulled the sunglasses down so it was hard to tell where her eyes were without actually seeing her turn her head toward someone. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David sat and studied Krystal and Johnny both for a moment. There was a question on the tip of his tongue but he was not sure he wanted the answer or not. "I used to be able to filter is all away.. to make it like a radio a little to low to make anything out. After the blast I can't do it anymore.... " David was really on the fence with admitting that much and the conflict on his face was rather clear. He really was a horrid liar. His form of telling them more often than not was silence and letting people assume what they wanted. He caught Krystal looking at him. "You asked me last night why I held onto that woman. It was to give the kid time to run... to get away. I ran into him a few days ago and he touched me. I saw that woman beat him to death as he called out for his mother..." –d
John Nolan Smith: "Where'd the kid go?" Johnny looked from one to the other and back. "What about the woman?" If she got her hands on him again... "We should find him." Johnny was already reaching for his hiking boots. "Where’d you see him last?"
KrystalFlake: Both of them had better moral compasses than she did. Krystal did sit up and point in the direction of the shops when he asked the question. "It was sometime around 10 last night after we had dinner and walking around down here. Kid could be anywhere." She tilted her head looking at him and then turned to David. "You don't know if that was because you encouraged him to run away or not do you?" It wasn't an accusation it was a question. Maybe that's what made that gift so difficult. She was trying to wrap her brain around it. Freaking out would have been pointless so she wasn't going to do that, but she couldn't see as how they could be any use to the kid now. It had been well over half a day that had passed since they had seen him. [d]
John Nolan Smith: "I can't tell you the number of times I've made things worse before I made them better. Each action taken changes the outcome. Still, you gotta try, right?" He looked between them once more. "The kid still could be hanging around. Could it be this woman stole him? He might be a face on a milk carton."
ChildoftheMoiria: "He got away and found a cop. It made the local news blogs last night. It happened here in the park." Krystal's question had his head shaking slowly. "No.. I got lucky and this time it worked out. You don't know the events before or after just what you get shown. Like I said I learned early that I can't save them all. There have been times I have tried and at least once that I know of I was the cusp that caused the vision to come true."
KrystalFlake: Krystal frowned a little bit, going someplace inside of her own head as she thought about visions and things coming true. Shaking her head she looked at David and nodded. "Glad that it worked out for that kid." She was still frowning a bit with her brows scrunched in. Well, this topic of conversation had amounted to a metaphysical cold shower on the ardeur that she had been feeling when they got there. Krystal wasn't sure she appreciated the way that had happened. Sliding back down onto her side she rolled onto her stomach and bent her legs to hook them at the ankle. If she ever was in dire need of a buzz kill she knew who she could contact now. [d]
John Nolan Smith: Johnny relaxed and settled back, relieved. "It's good that the kid found a cop. Sometimes you look at people today and you just have to wonder." He'd met some odd ones. "I had this one chick, that came into my home once to cook me dinner. She seemed nice, just ... odd. And dangerous."
ChildoftheMoiria: David had been happy with the porn scenes dancing in his head. It sure as hell beat what he was thinking about now. HE was back to shielding his mind like crazy David gave a nod to the both of them as the kid was mentioned "Did it end well, I hope it ended well..." Yeah he went ahead and said it with a little bit of a laugh. HE knew it rarely worked out that way though. –d
KrystalFlake: Maybe introducing Johnny to Bren was a bad idea.... Bren, Ryder, Alex, Sasha... Or pretty much any other person who turned into something furry or drank blood for survival would be bad. "Sometimes it's the ones that you least suspect." She wasn't looking at either of them, her chin propped up in her hand as she looked out at the park in front of her. Her quite tone had all the hallmarks of letting you know her brain was probably thinking about something else but the words could apply just the same. "Dating can be hazardous to anyone's health though." She perked back up just a bit and turned her chin on her hand and looked at the pair of them. Sighing softly she looked back out at the park. Well, there went that idea. They were all death and saving people from bad situations. That went so poorly with sex... well... sometimes it did. [d]
John Nolan Smith: "Dating can be hell." He nodded. "Especially when you go to bed with someone the first time, and everyone you've been with and everyone she's been with, and everyone they've been with is dancing around in your head." he shook his head at that. "It can be... distracting."
ChildoftheMoiria: "My visions are normally more localized. My trouble comes in that it can trigger other things. Nothing like going to town and suddenly hearing some one else’s surface thoughts ." Yeah he noticed Krystal was more interested in the park for now. "Sorry if I killed your good mood. I wanted to tell you last night.. but well I was worried you would think I was nuts." –d
KrystalFlake: "The more people the more the dancing." She swung her legs back and forth toward her and away from her. Did she actually sound a little sullen and pouty. Maybe just a little bit. Her fingers drummed against the line of her jaw. She wasn't usually a repeat offender when it came to sleeping with a human. Distracting was different for her than it was for either of them. People got enthralled by her if she fed too often and really couldn't be having that. It was just awkward and then she might have to kill them. That was never enjoyable when she liked the shrug of her shoulder. "I'm just not quite the compassionate person you both seem to be. I have never been in your shoes to know that it would affect me or not into action." [d]
John Nolan Smith: "I don't hear thoughts, I see visions. Past, present, future. Touch initiated. Sometimes I can slow them down, get more detailed information from them. But I don't hear thoughts. People speaking, sure, but not their thoughts."
ChildoftheMoiria: David rolled his shoulders as well. "I'm no white knight trust me. I help when I can but I'm not throwing my life away." He helped when he could but not if the cost was to high then he was able to walk away.. Johnny's comment had him nodding his head. "My visions from people and objects are like that but I'm also a telepath and a few other talents as well. My aunt told me it happens from time to time in my family. It's been awhile though and she thought she would die before the next one was born." He gave a nod to Krystal. "Her abilities where rather strong in some areas. She could do things like you did to that lady in the diner... make people obey by planting the idea in their heads." –d
KrystalFlake: "I'd highly suggest neither of you touch me again if you aren't prepared to have a moral dilema over what you might see and I am not prepared to block some of it out." Call it being curteous or whatever you wanted to call it. She would have avoided contact with them both if she had understood that it might affect them the way touch seemed to. Her fingers returned to their light drumming along the edge of her jaw. "I don't plant ideas in people's heads." That was simplifying it if you looked at it that way. Taking away other options was more acurrate, but she wasn't elaborating on that. [d]
John Nolan Smith: "No, but you do inspire them." Johnny chuckled, then cracked the cap on his bottled water. Taking a sip he looked between them and shrugged. "The mind is a strange thing. The way it works is ... odd." he looked at David. "Brain trauma is what triggered it for you?"
ChildoftheMoiria: "I don't know what he saw but what I saw was rather erotic." He had been around enough and met with some of the people behind the Space Port.. so he knew Krystal was involved with some shadey people. So far he had not had an issue with any of it. "Does that mean I can touch if you know I'm going to?" Well that last statement had him just giving her a careful study again. Either was it appeared to be a compulsion of some kind. The question from Johnny had his head shaking. "Nope I was a kid when the headaches started. My mom took me to the hospital because I just curled up in a ball. When my aunt learned she came and got me. I lived with her almost full time for about two or three years. She told me when I got older I would come back. But she died while I was still in school." –d
KrystalFlake: "Honey you don't even know." She just laughed when he said what he saw was erotic. She wasn't about to explain it and when he asked about touching her she raised a brow, slid the sunglasses on the end of her nose and stared at him. "I don't think you are in any shape to be touching me any time soon if you are going to have your nose bleeding on contact." She was serious about that one. "Safer for you that if you get that under control you don't accidentally see things you don't need to be. Erotic is not where it ends." Everyone had their ghosts and skeletons. She just happened to have a lot of both. Johnny's comment about inspiration had her shaking her head. "Yes, I can inspire people to make sandwiches for me. It's an amazing thing. It also works without contact for yard work." [d]
John Nolan Smith: "I'm sorry." he nodded. "I lost my dad when I was young and my mom... while I was in a coma." And his fiancée. At Krystal's comment, he chuckled. "Well if I ever have a yard, I'll hit you up for someone to do my yard work."
ChildoftheMoiria: David laughed and shook his head. Yeah he had a ways to go.. it did not keep the thoughts from entering his head though. He turned his attention to Johnny when he spoke. "No worries she was old as father time. I get the feeling there was more but I may never know this side of the veil." As first one then the other mentioned yard work he laughed. "I knew you kept those gnomes installed.. and Johnny you don't look good enough in a skirt to get them to work for you... ok maybe some of the zombie gnomes." –d
KrystalFlake: "Yes, I have minions of concrete in my backyard now. At least it's not the front." Of course she didn't have room enough for a front yard. It was landscaped bushes that was about it. Laying her head down on her arms as they folded in front of her she dropped her leg down against the blanket. She was listening but her eyes were closed behind those sunglasses. "He could look good in a skirt. You can't see his legs in those pants. It's all about the legs." She pointed the toes of one foot and bent that leg to move it around for a moment before dropping it back down against the blanket. [d]
John Nolan Smith: "You mean a kilt." Johnny chuckled, and took another drink of his water. Whatever mellow she'd had that they'd harshed with their visionary conversation hadn't been diminished for him. Likely not for David either. The woman was a looker and it was impossible not to admire her.
ChildoftheMoiria: Well his favorite was the one holding the sign proclaiming the world was coming to an end. "Well everyone needs a few minions." Krystal’s comment about Johnny's legs had him laughing. "Traditional kilt or one of the leather numbers.. leather would look better. And on a woman yeah the legs are the hot button. On a guy more the chest and back. All goes to show you it's all in the eye of the beholder." He tossed a glance to Johnny and shrugged. He knew not everyone was comfortable when it came to topics like that. He had already told Krystal he had been involved in a poly relationship. He had just never offered details. –d
KrystalFlake: Well, when you revealed that you could see things about whatever you were touching it kind of made it difficult for her to jump on that. Especially when the revelation came on the heels of a kid that was abused. They might not have had their spirits dampened, but they did have a spectacular view of her ass while she was laying on her stomach and a great pair of nicely tanned legs. So really the advantage was all theirs in this instance. "And in some cases the eye of the beer holder." She owned a bar remember? "Skirt, kilt really all about semantics. Cuold be a sarong in some places. A piece of cloth worn about the waist that falls anywhere below the ass: to the ankles." her tone was definitely amused. [d]
John Nolan Smith: And here Johnny thought she was talking about David's legs. "Everyone gets better looking the closer you get to closing time." He chuckled. And yes, they had an excellent view. "Potato, potahtoh. It's all good." he was admiring those legs she had on display.
ChildoftheMoiria: "Beer goggles the regret of many people the morning after." David replied rolling to his back to look back up to the sky. His legs bent and his feet in the soft warm grass. The view was indeed nice. But it was like looking into the window of a candy store with no money in your pocket.. pointless. "They are planning a party and a private screening of The Rocky Horror up at the old warehouse with a party after. I think I may try and score some invitations to take a group. Either of you interested?" He had no clue on if Johnny would still be in town. "No date for it as of yet.." –d
KrystalFlake: Krystal spent time as a third in a relationship with two men for almost two years, she'd dated women. There wasn't much that you could be involved with that would have given her pause and since one of those men had been a shifter yeah not much you could do that would phase her. Unless it was just disgusting. Nope she had been referring to Johnny's previously. Right now though the conversation was actually pretty tame compared to what you could get coming out of her. She was trying to bask a little bit to regain that inner hunger in a manageable way and not the shrunken down limp dick version of it. She turned her head. "They had better give me a ten pack of seats for all the bullshit I put up with in the last month with them." She groaned. David had to window shop as long as he couldn't stop a nosebleed on contact. That was not her fault! "It can be all good. Everything's pink on the inside. Isn't that the saying?" [d]
John Nolan Smith: Pointless was also in the eye of the beholder. Johnny could admire the view even if he wasn't going to touch the terrain. "Sounds like a good time." Johnny looked at Krystal and smirked. "That's what they say." Who they were he didn't elaborate but yes, he'd heard the saying a time or two. And no he wasn't shocked that she knew it. He didn't think much of anything would shock Krystal.
ChildoftheMoiria: He did not need to ogle to remember. He was well aware of his limitations though. It was a big factor in him not taking offers that were made by others. Experience wise.. yeah he was not even going to try and one up Krystal not even before the vision dancing in his head. "I don't know about all good.. I have not tried all of it yet so I have no frame of reference. But like I said at Styx, my folks said to always try something at least twice before you said you don't like it." Ok at least the joke was still funny to him for the simple fact he could just imagine his folks face if they knew half of what they thought they know in total. –d
John Nolan Smith: Johnny cracked up at that. "So did mine, but they were talking about vegetables." He thought it was funny as hell, though. "I'll never hear that phrase in the same light again."
KrystalFlake: Krystal sat up and turned around shifting her legs so that she was Indian style and the dress draped neatly into her lap. A smile danced wickedly on her lips. "I don't have to try to know I can make it good. It's as simple as that for me." [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "Eat your veggies get tied up and have whipped cream licked off your body.. they both involve food." David spoke lifting his head to offer a grin. Yeah his folks were talking about foods he thought were nasty as a kid. His focus turned to Krystal with the boast. "If you are that good then that is one more damn reason to get my shit in line. There has to be a way.. I just have to find it." –d
John Nolan Smith: "Always have your safe word at the ready. In case the vegetables get out of hand." He was going to burn in hell, but damn if he didn't find it funny. Gene would be scandalized. The good reverend didn't... Okay so there was Dana, which, by the way, was just odd as hell when you think about it. Johnny tried not to. It was like watching your would be girlfriend get it on with your father. Just... no. He shook his head.
KrystalFlake: Okay the pair of them made her laugh with all their food talk, she reached over for her bag with her sandwich in it. "Who's hungry?" Grinning she pulled out the container it was in and started unwrapping it. David's comment about getting his shit in line just made her laugh again. "Practice, practice, practice. I was a late bloomer. Had to catch up." [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David laughed at the mention of safe words and veggies. He rolled up laughing before responding. "I will have to remember to change my word to rutabaga now." He looked around for his sandwich. Leaning forward he hooked the bag with his fingertips and pulled it to him. "I had forgotten all about having food with me." –d
John Nolan Smith: "I wouldn't say I was a late bloomer but I was rather late at exploring other options." Johnny and Sarah had been together from childhood. What had started as friendship grew into more. In high school and then college they were sweethearts. After school, when they started teaching, they'd become engaged. And then one rainy night after a carnival, part of which was spent in the back seat of his Caddy, he'd gone to rend a move and: get some ice cream. What he got was semi crossing the road. He'd gotten a little spacy there for a moment, and then he looked at David and cracked up. "Rutabaga is a good one. There's no way that would be accidental." Johnny reached for his own sandwich. Hunger was setting in again. It was well past time to eat.
KrystalFlake: Krystal started in with her sandwich between looking at the pair of them. Shaking her head and voicing up when she had swallowed. "Damn shame." What was? Well they could just take it and go with it because she wasn't going to explain anything. If someone accidentally said rutabaga during sex that was going to be the weirdest sexual experience ever. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "One girl in high school, the couple while I was in college and then Kelly. So well yea. "I know right.. that makes it about flawless." You just have to be able to remember the damn thing when you needed it and that could be a problem. David was unwrapping his sandwich when Krystal spoke up. "What’s a shame, safe words?" Yeah he would ask the question. –d
John Nolan Smith: Johnny would ask what was a shame, but he was almost afraid to find out. Lucky for him, David asked. He merely worked on his sandwich, and chased it with his water, blues on Krystal as he waited for her response.
KrystalFlake: She picked out a piece of the bacon from the sandwich and put the rest aside. Leaning back on her hands. Yeah she was intentionally not answering right away. "Damn shame I can't touch either of you. I mean he downed about three glasses of water from shaking my hand and you got a nose bleed. I can't even begin to imagine what would happen with full body contact." She almost looked serious for a moment. "That would be very difficult to explain in the ER. I mentally porned someone into a seizure?" [d]
John Nolan Smith: "You have to admit, neither of us was expecting it." he cracked up at the mental image she created of the ER. "That would blow more than a few minds, I'll tell you that much." It would to. Walt and Bruce would clap him on the back and Sarah.... Well he shook his head as he thought of what her reaction would be.
ChildoftheMoiria: David worked on his food turning to grab his coke once he remembered it was there. Other than that he just studied Krystal waiting for her to respond to his question. He nodded with the explanation. "I see your point but it would be a fun ride up to the ER part." It would be very easy to think with the little head at the moment but well blood did always return to the other head in time. "I did fine when I knew it was coming.. but I think you were blocking somehow. I think you kind of suspected me all along." –d
John Nolan Smith: "Now see? That's the part I don't get. I can't control when, where or how the visions come. I can't guard against them. They're there, or not. Given enough warning I can be prepared for it, mentally, should it come. At least in as much as the fact that it would be coming. Not so much in what it shows me."
ChildoftheMoiria: "It is different for everyone. Some people get visions without touching anything and they come i the form of dreams." David rolled his shoulders with the only answer he had for Johnny's statement on the visions. "I do know that the more charged an object is the more likely I will have an occurrence. I know there is a way to also shield off that part of my mind from picking up the energy or part of the energy an object holds. .. but I don't remember how I did it."
KrystalFlake: "I can block out a lot of what people might feel and what someone might pick up is an iffy thing. It's more about the energy that's conveyed." She picked up her shoe from the edge of the blanket. "You touching this I can't do anything about. It carries residual energy from me so more than likely you'll pick something up. Knowing you can touch me and get some kind of read I might be able to block the emotional charge so to speak, but I can't stop you from seeing everything your mind wants you to see." She tossed the shoe back beside the other and shrugged a shoulder. "Any kind of human psychic is picking up on an energy signature to see something. Everything has some kind of energy." Her knees bounced a little bit as she was sitting there. Her restless nature starting to filter back in. "I've seen people that can't control when or what comes, but I've seen them control how hard it hits them. I think that's really the only difference. The more energy you are set to receive the harder it hits you." [d]
John Nolan Smith: "Is it what I want to see, or is it what God or fate or whatever power that drives us all wants me to see? I don't know. All I know is sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't." he shrugged and took another bite of his sandwich.
ChildoftheMoiria: "My focus on the object, a desire to pull out that energy also has an effect." David shook his head at the idea of a higher power sending thoughts into his head. "I believe it's a manifestation of our minds expansion. We can tap a part of our brain other people can't." The other stuff fell more into the realm of mysticism "I am hoping to find a real healer to maybe try and help me access some of the control I once had. So far I have debunked three. Maybe four will be my lucky number. " –d
John Nolan Smith: "The Dead Zone. That was what my neurologist called it. The accident damaged my brain and my brain rerouted to reconnect the pathways, tapping into what is usually dead space, part of that ninety percent that the majority of us don't use."
KrystalFlake: "God or the Devil. They are both very real. Whether it's predetermined, fate or it is a possible future who knows. The past is always the past, but the future is never certain." Her legs stretched out in front of her so that they were stretched between the two men on the blankets. "You probably aren't meant to see everything. Who is meant to see everything? Sounds like you've adapted to accepting them." Her focus shifted on to David. "You haven't accepted it. Your brain wants you to not have it so it overwhelms you. I have neither of your problems with touching people. Yours is a passive thing, mines quite active." Though she still wasn't going to admit she wasn't human. That was probably a good illusion to have that she just might have mental powers not magical type ones. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "It could be but I'm not sure." He really had no clue on why he would have dealt well with it before but not now. David pushed out a breath and shook his head. "I have no problems with anything but that one ability. The others are not that effected. It's when this one overwhelms me that I lose control of the others." –d
John Nolan Smith: "If there's one thing I am certain of, it's that nothing is certain." He finished off his sandwich, then balled up the wrapper and tucked it back into the bag. "I can actually slow the visions down take more time, get more details." Johnny shook his head. "Looking back, I can remember when I was a kid; I fell and hit my head on the ice while we were all out playing hockey. I was muttering, don't go after it, and leave it alone...." As everyone was leaving, one of the kids had left his hockey stick on the ice, and it had gotten thin. He went after it, the ice gave, and he fell in. I was ... six."
ChildoftheMoiria: He was not going to touch the god and devil debate. He believed in neither of them really. "Maybe then we have two sets of pathways. One running through this dead zone andf another that does not. From there is would be a matter of control as to what pathways we are working with at the moment." David turned his attention to Krystal and studied her for a moment. "Do you know any healers.. someone who could maybe help?" –d
KrystalFlake: "Mine didn't start till I was in my 20s. Like I said late bloomer." She smiled and reached forward to snag Johnny's water bottle and take a drink from it. Was she being a shit. Damn right. It was also amusing her to KrystalFlake: think he might not want to touch the bottle after she had already handled it. "Everyone is different, but one thing I can be assured of is that there is a God and a Devil and they have very shitty senses of humor." Nodding matter of factly. It probably sounded more crazy that she actually believed in God and the Devil than either one of them saying they were psychic. "No I don't know any healers. I do know a witch though." That made her think, tilting her head to the side as she considered it. She might have to ask Alex about this little situation here and get in touch with his lawyer. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "If you hear of any who could pass the smell test let me know? I have debunked all the ones I have met in the last few months." With the conversation today he was fairly sure Alex was not human. With what Bren had already told him .. well that only made him more sure. There was no more knowing the real truth about him than there was knowing the real truth about Krystal. And really he was not sure he wanted to know about Alex and not sure how much more he wanted to know about what all Krystal could do. –d
KrystalFlake: David would probably shocked to realize that the people he spent most of his time with were not human or they were dead in some sense. Really did screw with your whole perception of reality sort of thing. What Krystal could do and what she was might not jive together in a nonbeliever's brain. If he didn't believe in God and the Devil how was he supposed to believe in what she was right? "I'll let you know if she can help you out any when I run into her again." [d]
John Nolan Smith: "Tell the witch to stay away from Hobbs Landing. They still burn witches there." Completely serious. As for other things... Johnny had an inkling, but he didn't delve too deeply into it. He'd aided in the recovery of Abby, knew there were those who were ... different. He just didn't want to know. Something were best left alone.
KrystalFlake: "Well, you don't think they actually still train priests in exorcisms because they aren't needed do you?" She laughed and it really sounded like she was making a joke as she shook her head. "I'll pass the message along for that one. I didn't know they still did that. Good to know." [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: He could believe in good and evil without the existence of god and the devil. David was active enough to know there was a spirit world out there. He could pull most of his soil from his body and send it walking around for periods of time. "If she can help or think she can great and if she just does not want to bother with it I abolutly understand." –d
John Nolan Smith: "Never hurts to try, right?" How many doctors had Johnny been to see? How many times had he tried to find a way to get rid of the visions, to be 'normal' again? He contemplated David's dilemma but didn't know of anyone who would be suited for the task.
KrystalFlake: "If you could remember what your aunt did to help you that might get you further than any stranger." She shrugged and pushed up to her feet. She couldn't just sit here anymore. She needed to be moving and since neither of them were an option at the moment by the looks of it she was going to need to get moving to feed that restlessness inside. "Sometimes the path for one is not the same for another. You really have to figure out what works for you and what doesn't." [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David looked down to this hands and just kind of nodded his head in agreement. His phone chirped in his pocket was the thing that brought him around. He shifted to check it. Pushing out a sigh he lifted up. "I need to head to the gym. I'm supposed to meet there." He fished his wallet out of his pocket and lifted a card from inside. He offered it out to Johnny. "Give me a call or text some time. We can get together and compare notes." A glance given to Krystal. "You heading out too boss?" –d
KrystalFlake: "I need to get up and moving around. Maybe grab my bag and change for a run. Sitting still too long makes me antsy." She smiled and rest her hands on her hips. She was standing on her blanket so he could go ahead and grab his. "You have fun at the gym. Be all testosteroneish and all." And she gave a little flex with a grr sound just for the hell of it. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "I'll do my best.. you two have fun." Yeah when the card was taken from him David would grab up his trash, blanket and football and head for his truck. It would have been more fun to stay.. but well the guy was paying him well. –d
John Nolan Smith: Chuckling, he nodded. "It's about that time. Frankly I'm surprised Bruce hasn't called again to check on me." He rose, gathering his bag and plucking his water bottle back from Krystal. "The thirteenth. Party at Drifter's."
KrystalFlake: "Sounds good. You have a good afternoon." She reached down to fold up her blanket. They had to walk back to the same place since they were parked next to each other. She grabbed out a card and handed it over to him. "Call me for directions." [d]
John Nolan Smith: Johnny reached out and took the card, more than half expecting to get an orgy flashing through his mind but when it didn't happen he as ... actually kind of disappointed. He smirked, and looked at the card, then slipped it into his pocket. "I will do that."
KrystalFlake: "Good. Look forward to getting to know you Mr. Smith. Maybe you can teach me something new about people like you and David." She waggled her brows and dumped the blanket in the back of the Jeep before she climbed in. Then she was pulling away with a wave. [d]
John Nolan Smith: Chuckling, he waved to her, then climbed into his car and headed back to his hotel.
