Manager Cieaner: --After a few days of ideas, floating around his head, Jake decided to give Styx a call to see her ideas on a band, what she wanted and what she didnt want in the musical experience. He dialed her number, hoping to catch her-- (d)
Styx McKenzi: He did, in fact, catch her on her way to work With the phone pinned to her shoulder, she pulled the keys from the ignition and pulled the door open, back pack grabbed from the seat beside her and she slid out as she said, "Hello?" Pushing the lock button down, she swung the door shut, and headed inside.
Manager Cieaner: --Jake was happy to get a hold of her as he said-- "Hey Styx, it's Jake Collingwood. I was hoping you had a few minutes to discuss some band ideas. Did I catch you at a bad time?" -- (d)
Styx McKenzi: "Not at all." She paused by the door, leaning against the building. "What have you got?" She checked the time on her phone, then put it back to her ear.
Manager Cieaner: --Jake leaned back in his chair as he said-- "Well, I don't have a band to join at the moment, the bands I manage all have drummers that are spoken for. But, I am curious to see how interested you'd be to have a band built around you. Whether it be a project with existing musicians I have in other bands, or finding new people to do it. And after reading your profile, I can defintely use an "angry girl band" at the moment" --that mention on her profile always made his laugh and listened for her response-- (d)
Styx McKenzi: "Sounds good." She nodded as she checked the time again, then put the phone back to her ear. She shifted from one foot to the other, heel of her boot tapping against the siding of the building as the rain started once more. She glanced upward, blinking and then moved toward the door, pulling it open finally and stepping inside.
Manager Cieaner: --Jake heard that she was good with that, and decided to throw out some ideas, saying-- "What are you looking for in a singer, and guitarist? Most of my bands are not the pretty type anyways, except for trying to inject a little sex appeal into my industrial band, but just seeing what you're looking for." -- (d)
Styx McKenzi: She moved past the bar, into the back, past the kitchen into the store room and set her back pack down, then sought, found and punched her time card. She dropped it back into the slot. "As long as they're chicks without manapples, does it matter?" She was on the move again then, heading for the bar, back pack snatched up and then she was looking for a place under the bar to tuck it. She wanted it close, just in case, but out of the way. Stuffing it under the bar, she straightened, purple strand of hair dragged back from her face by way of single digit. "You got anyone in mind?"
Manager Cieaner: --Jake laughed at the 'manapples" comment as he said to her-- "Oh I meant more like in the type of players you want- any particular style? I don't have anyone in mind yet, but I can put some feelers out there for ya." -- (d)
Styx McKenzi: "Oh, well they'd have to be into the angry girl music. Obviously need a basist, lead, and rhythm guitar, and ability to sing preferable. More of a blend vocals rather than just one, you know?" She looked around the place and well she was glad she was alone for the phone call but if people showed up, she didn't have a clue what the prices were.
Manager Cieaner: --He nodded, knowing about the vocals-- "Yeah, something I always try and push with my bands are a varied sound, with some melodies. Too many hard rock and metal bands that just try and scream these days. Not my cup of tea. I may actually contact the singer I just placed with the industrial band to play with you as well. Has Lola introduced you to Ariela?" -- (d)
Teddy Swick: Teddy came rolling in, parking around back as usual and in through the back door. He clocked in, noticed that Styx was already here and grimaced. Bad, bad, bad. New employee he was to train and she was in before him. He headed through the kitchen, and out to the main room, slipping in behind the bar. He eyed her and smirked.
Styx McKenzi: When Teddy came in, she looked at him and returned the smirk, one hand going over her phone as she said, "I won't tell if you don't." And then she was putting the phone back to her ear as her hand was offered out to Teddy. "I met her the other night, my first night in, in fact."
Manager Cieaner: --Jake nodded once more, and responded-- "Ok, cool. She's the one that's in the industrial band that I'm trying to put a woman's touch on. You two may want to talk with each other to see what you can come up with. If it doesnt work, we can find someone else. By the way, do you have any questions for me right now?" -- (d)
Teddy Swick: Shaking her hand, he chuckled, grabbed a price sheet and set it on the bar in front of her.
Styx McKenzi: She nodded her thanks to Teddy, reading over the price sheet set in front of her as she listened to Jake on the phone. "Not at present, if I think of anything, I'll hit you back and I'll talk to Arelia next time I see her."
Manager Cieaner: "sounds good. Thanks for the chat and I'll let you be. Talk with you soon..." -- (d)
Styx McKenzi: "Thanks, Jake! Catch you later." Hitting end, she shoved her phone into her pocket, opposite the one she had her sticks in. "So, Teddy, this is what we charge for booze and food."
