Alex Vipond: In a way, Alex felt incredibly selfish. Wanting time alone with his wife, when there was so much going on, but before they ended up on a four month tour with little to no privacy, what so ever he wanted, needed, to recharge. And Meghan was his solace. His passion. His means of recharging his soul. With that in mind, he loaded Meghan into the car, bags packed for the day and night, and into the car he loaded her. He didn't tell her where they were going and when they got close, he made her close her eyes until they pulled in. Once he parked the car and helped her out, then and only then, did he have her open her eyes.
Meghan Vipond: There were times in one's life when one should know when to ask questions and when not to ask questions. Today, it was one where she knew not to ask, despite the inquiry expression within her eyes. She trusted Alex and knew he was likely up to some sort of surprise. Of course, while she was thinking along the smaller scale of things, nine times out of ten, he always ended up blowing her mind. When they seem to get close, she was asked to close her eyes. And so she did. But not before teasing him and peeking over at him with one eye open and the other squinted shut. This of course had her laughing. But, as promised, she kept both eyes shut and when the car came to a slow and then stop, she knew they were here. Wherever here was. He of course helped her out of the car and once she was turned about to face the surprise, he told her to open her eyes. Blues stared ahead and brows arched. It was...a beautiful place. But obviously there was a hint of confusion in her gaze as she looked to him. And so she waited for an explanation. [d]
Alex Vipond: "A day at the lake. We'll go home tomorrow, but for now, just you and me and a beautiful view, and ... hopefully, no distractions." He smiled. "I had to promise I wouldn't bring Gus. Droolage was not an option." He smiled as he moved to the trunk to grab their bags. He took her hand and then moved to the door, pausing to punch in the code on the realtor's box to get the key. Unlocking the door, he swung it inward, then swept Meghan off her feet and carried her inside.
Meghan Vipond: "Alex!" She exclaimed trying to sound as every bit as scolding as could be. But... the smile was quick to show she wasn't at all too serious. She watched a moment as he moved to get their bags and then on his way to the door, snagged her hand to lead her away. She chuckled the whole time. "Yeah, I somehow don't think slobber is part of the decor at a place like this. Once they reached the door and he set the bags inside he turned to sweep her off her feet and have her laughing. Her arms were quick to wrap around his neck. But eyes were quick to start their roaming and taking in everything inside. Head slowly tilted back, turning, creating an odd angle for her to look at things. "....Wow." [d]
Alex Vipond: Laughing, he dipped his head, kissing her throat; then set her down on her feet as he closed the door. "Pretty swank." He looked around and gave a low whistle. "Wow indeed. My agent said it was a beaute. She wasn't joking." He moved through to the back and looked out over the little courtyard and beyond to the cove.
Meghan Vipond: She was grinning from ear to ear when he kissed her exposed throat. "Careful. Don't start what you can't finish." she teased, cutting blue toward him for a long moment. Brows then gave a little teasing waggle. Meghan was placed down and she took a few steps off in another direction. Hand lifted to carefully touch one of the may sculptures found there. After taking a moment to study it up close, she slowly turned about to where he was and moved to follow after him. "It’s really beautiful here..." [d]
Alex Vipond: "It's fucking gorgeous." He was in total awe and not afraid to admit it. "I mean, seriously?" The fact that there was a baby grand in the living room didn't hurt, either. He moved toward it, the lid lifted, fingers teasing the keys, before he looked at her and grinned. "If we ever decide to get a place on the lake...."
Meghan Vipond: "Well, yeah..." she replied with a chuckle. Meghan looked out through the windows again before turning to see him heading off to the piano. She smiled and followed. Leaning up against it, she grinned when he spoke and nodded. A glance from his eyes to his fingers and then back before she canted her head. "Baby?" she asked. "Play me something? Doesn't have to be one of your songs. Can be anything..." Meghan loved to hear him play music. No matter if it were on guitar or piano or anything else he could play. [d]
Alex Vipond: He settled at the piano, fingers running over the keys, before he began to play.
I'd walk a thousand miles to you
If I had no other way
And tell you how I feel
If I could find the words to say
I'd build you up a temple
Keep you safe inside
When everything's upon you
It will be your place to hide
And now with you I know
Sometimes the very thing you run from
Is that thing you need the most.
You know I'd die for you
These words I swear are true
Just when I'd given up
You show me the meaning of love
There's nothing I won't do
I'd steal all the stars for you
Just when I'd had enough
You show me the meaning of love
Of love
I crossed all seven oceans
And I've fought a hundred wars
But through the sea of faces
It was fate that brought me yours
I built these walls around me
My heart safe inside
But your wave crashed upon me
What was lost you helped me find
Once bittersweet and lonely
Now I feel alive
You know I'd die for you
These words I swear are true
Just when I'd given up
You show me the meaning of love
There's nothing I won't do
I'd steal all the stars for you
Just when I'd had enough
You show me the meaning of love
I've opened my eyes
Let in your light
I've run out of time
You keep me hanging on
You keep me hanging on
You know I'd die for you
These words I swear are true
Just when I'd given up
You show me the meaning of love
There's nothing I won't do
I'd steal all the stars for you

Meghan Vipond: Elbows came to rest on the top of the piano, chin braced within the heels of her hands. Head angled. She listened as he sang to her. Listened to the lyrics and each word had her smile growing a little more. When he was done, she pushed off and came around to straddle the bench, sitting at his side. Hands pressed to a space on the bench between herself and him and she leaned forward, weight on her hands. Her bottom lifted and she pressed a kiss to his jaw. "I love you." She said. "You are amazing... you know that right?" she asked with a wide smile. [d]
Alex Vipond: Turning to face her, Alex slid his hand into her hair. "I'm inspired." He smiled, his lips playing over hers before he put his forehead to hers. "And I'm selfish. I admit it. I want you to myself, just the two of us, no distractions and no outside... anything. Just you and me and this gorgeous lake house." He chuckled. "I can't think of a better way to spend the week end."
Meghan Vipond: "I find it hard to believe that I am good at being someone's muse." she replied back in a whisper just as his lips came to claim her own. When his forehead came to rest against hers, her eyes lowered and long lashes rested along the curves of her cheeks just under her eyes. She was smiling. "There is nothing wrong with being a little selfish on occasion. But... now that you have me, all to yourself... just what do you plan to do with me?" There was a hint of a tease there in her low slightly husky tone. Eyes finally lifted to stare into his gaze. Those... beautiful, amazing, alluring eyes. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Oh....” his lips curved up in a grin, "I am going to do so much with you..." His fingers started in on the buttons of her blouse. "In fact, I think the fairer question is what I don’t plan on doing with you." With his eyes on hers, Alex kissed her, lips moving against hers then as he spoke again. "Shorter list."
