Alex Vipond: Alex leaned on the rail of the pier and watched as the sun crept ever closer to the water. Shades covered his eyes as he watched the gulls circle and dive, either searching for fish or for the handouts the tourists offered out. Alex kept expecting one of those tourists to lose a finger. Or at the very least a chunk of skin: Didn't seem to happen though. Pushing from his lean, he moved further along the pier, amongst the rides and the vendors and overall carnival atmosphere the place had. Cotton candy, balloons, hot dogs, and clam chowder, the scents could be overwhelming at times. He did actually contemplate trying the chowder, but he'd not feed in a few hours and didn't want to risk tossing it, and then some, back up. He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jeans as he walked, the leather jacket he wore, needed or not, was kept on, in case of rain. Seattle was tricky. You could have sunshine one moment, rain the next. NiteotheAngel: Kaly was in need of space to clear her head. And what better place to go then the pier. It was either that or the woods. Which she considered greatly but not ready to deal with her brothers. She moved amongst the rides as she had just enough money to get a bag of cotton candy that was pink and blue and green. She was walking as she ate it. A little sweet for her taste but the texture was interesting. Part of her wished she knew what was going on with her brothers it seemed they had changed so much since their return. She tried not to think about it to much. She moved to a bench as she took a seat and relaxed. Listening to the screams on the rides and the music of the carnival. And then the squawk of the seagulls as they flew around. It almost seemed like a bad version of Hitchcock's birds. Smelling the salt as the wind blew over the water.:: Alex Vipond: The cotton candy smell and underlying scent of Kaly drew Alex over to the bench where she was resting. He didn't say anything, just sat down beside her and continued to watch the people as they passed by, and the birds as they climbed, dove and swept by in a flurry of rushing air and beating wings. NiteotheAngel: Kaly didnt say a word as Alex sat down next to her. Not really sure what to say as she continued to enjoy the cotton candy. Offered him some as she tilted the bag over towards him. Wearinga light jacket with t shirt underneath and jeans with a pair of healed boots that were comfortable to walk in. She remained on the bench for now. Her long hair was pulled back into a barrette:: BoundByDrkness: Much like the shadows she could control... the frail and sweet looking blonde was indeed dangerous, perhaps more so than her brother. Why? Nicole was one whose emotions ran high and unlike him, her temper was easily flared. However, tonight was not a night for blood. Yet. Tonight she was in a decent mood; perhaps better than she thought as she had returned to Seattle after a long and overdue 'vacation' with her beloved Francios. He was out and about... as was she, but perhaps for very different reasons. Out of nowhere, the woman would appear, sneaking up behind her brother Alex. Long, slender digits covered his eyes as a wide impish smile creased her lips. "Miss me?" Whom he was with? Ignored for the moment. [d] Alex Vipond: "Thanks, but as tempting as it smells, I think I should have my dinner first." And boy was there a lot of dinner on the hoof around here. He could hear their hearts beating; their blood coursing through their veins. Maybe coming here wasn't such a good idea. Then again, he couldn't exactly hide from the world while trying to get back onto the straight and narrow. All that was shoved out of his mind though as he felt her. He was about to give Kaly a word of warning when Nicolette's fingers covered his eyes, and he grinned. "Always." His hands took hers as he turned toward her, rising to draw her around to the proper side of the bench. He kissed her cheeks and then took a step back from her, her hands held out as he took stock. "Your vacation has seen you well." He looked around, despite not feeling the presence of his brother in law. "Francois?" He looked back at Nicolette. NiteotheAngel: "Alex, enjoy your dinner. ":: Softly smiles as she raises to her feet and heads on down the pier. She knew about being a third wheel. And it seemed like Alex and his sister had some catching up to do. She left them to do just that. She kept eating the cotton candy as she walked along the pier. Taking everything in. Leaning on the rails at the end of the pier as she just about finished the bag of cotton candy without realizing it. She was not in the socializingmood. So, much had changed and there was nothing familar about anything anymore.:: BoundByDrkness: Nicole giggled. Her brother always humored her. Spoiled her. For the longest, she was the center of his attention. And while things had started out rough when they found each other again... they had quickly become close once more. "It’s done wonders, yes... and you would do well to always miss me." she warned with a smile as she was brought around and admired before he asked of her husband. "Francois? I imagine he is off with Charlie." Yes, the little friend they had made that night at the Lucid Lounge. Or had it been Franks Gentleman's Club? Hmm, no matter. Blues turned then to .. Oh... it was her: The problem child who Nicole had tried to get along with, during that at one time, interesting man, Ixen. She was about to address her, when Kaly turned to take her leave, bidding her brother good night. A single thin blonde brow arched as she looked from the wolf pup to her brother. She smirked. Alex could see it in his sister's eyes, the glint of mischievousness and perhaps a hint of the predator. Nicole was so very tempted to be ..... herself. [d] Alex Vipond: Yes, Alex saw it, even as he looked on as Kaly walked away. "She's.... having issues." Alex looked back at Nicolette and smiled. "She is making progress I hear," by way of the grapevine. "So, tell me all about your trip. Where did you go and what did you see?" He laced his fingers with hers as he turned to walk along the pier. The sun had finally dipped below sea level and the last of the fading light was rapidly dying. NiteotheAngel: Kalypso figured she would let the siblings catch up and not intrude. Finally finishing the bag of cotton candy as she threw the plastic bag in the trash can. Before heading back toward a bit more civilization and possibly home for the evening. She had a long day of work ahead of her tomorrow. Since she finally settled on a design for her room. All she was doing at the moment was trying to find some place to call her own. Perhaps this was a bit of a start. She had done some antiquing for a head and foot board for her bed. She found some nice wooden design that had a nice floral inlay carved in wood. She had asked the manager to hold it for her. Wanted someone with a better eye then she to take a look at it possibly tomorrow. Might ask Bren or Anna to tag along.:: BoundByDrkness: "Aww.... pity... and here I was hoping I'd be allowed a bit of fun on my night back." she said with a sad face and pityful pouty lips. "Progress?" Nicole's eyes shifted from her brother to the girl and she stared. "We shall see," came the playful and sarcastic reply. Shrug of slender shoulders was made, a dismissal of the wolf pup for herself as if to say Oh Well. Fingers laced with that of her brothers when he asked of where they went and what they did. "Many places... “she began. "Italy... beautiful as always; Russia... interesting. Brazil.... love the night life there. And of course each place has their special and unique... cuisine." Just thinking back on a few, made Nicole’s mouth water. "How have you been? You and the Misses doing well?" she asked. [d] Alex Vipond: Alex had to smirk at the commentary on the cuisine. "Yes, interesting flavors to be certain. And yes, we're doing well. We're contemplating a vacation soon. The album is done, or should I say albums. We have one coming out this fall and the other will be released the following spring. Then we'll be touring again. I think we'll call it the We've All Been There tour." NiteotheAngel: Kalypso just left the pier and would head for home. Tomorrow was a new day which would bring her new challenges. She had a lot of planning to do for her room. Which means tomorrow would bring a long day ahead of her. She would catch the last bus from the pier to the transfer station and for the closest stop to the house.:: BoundByDrkness: Nicole almost giggled. She did have a way with words, didn't she? "That is nice. I am glad you found someone Alex. She seems to prove herself worthy of you, more and more." She paused a moment, then continued. "A Vacation? After all the traveling that was required for your last tour?" she asked, looking to him as if he had grown another head. [d] Alex Vipond: "But that was work. We didn't have time to see anything. It was all hotel room, bus, bus, bus, show, hotel, bus, bus...." He shrugged. "It's a blur. And I understand perfectly how some musicians can fuck up and forget what city they're in." BoundByDrkness: Nicole sighed softly and nodded. "This is true. I suppose there is a difference. Besides, all work and no play makes for a dull day.... and more." she smirked. "So... have I missed our on much during our time away?" she asked with a quizzical expression. "Is our maker causing trouble as per her usual?" she asked. Honestly, Nicole was surprised that Alea had not hunted her down yet. And the woman still had no idea Francois's presence. Or did she? Nicole had to ponder that a moment. [d] Alex Vipond: "Well, there's been a lot of shit go on..." he dropped his voice down into the tone only their kind would hear. "Amazingly, no. She seems to have thrown herself into work. I think she's hobnobbing with the city council and shit, making nice with the local government. Some dickweed decided to start kidnapping supernaturals for 'exotic pets'. Abby was one of the ones taken. Wolf, not sure you know her. Got her back, and then Mars and Leland up and disappear for months. Turned up in Mexico. I went down to get them out..." he paused, looking out into the distance across the water, that faraway look in his eyes as he recalled that trip. He didn't voice it, but it was there, all of it, for Nicolette to pluck like a grape from the vine. BoundByDrkness: Nicole’s brows furrowed with worry and concern for her brother and his friends. When he elaborated on things head canted. "And those responsible?" she asked. Then when he spoke of a trip to Mexico, he had that distant look in his yes. She stopped him, her hand grasping his wrist. "Something troubles you brother... " she stated, but it was more or less a question. Nicole had a sense of what it might concern... but she would wait to see if her assumptions were right. [d] Alex Vipond: Stopping as she grasped his wrist, he turned to face her, his voice in that same sub human frequency as he spoke. "I killed a man, several, actually, but one I drained..." And it wasn't that he'd done it, so much as the fact that he'd liked it. A lot. "And now I have that urge. I have been keeping well fed.... well, except for today. I haven't had anything to eat since lunch, but the desire to go fang to flesh...." It was addictive. No less so than heroine, and just as deadly. Well, not for him, but for those around him. BoundByDrkness: Nicole watched her brothers facial features as it was as telling as the thoughts he gave voice to. "I see." It was the thirst... all over again. Usually, after one manages to control it... suppress it for so long, it comes back with a vengeance. "Then perhaps we need to go and find you a snack...." she suggested to help stave off the frenzy, and help him maintain some amount of control. ”You know I don't mind offering..." she replied. Meaning herself and she gestured to her wrist. "Or, I can play helpless lady, dark alley... you be the hero?" [d] Alex Vipond: Oh that was ever so tempting. Not the feeding from his sister, the using her for bait for some perv. "No killing...." He didn't want to get back into that habit. He'd not killed to feed since his days with Alea. Before he'd learned that he didn't have to kill to feed. It was dangerous, what he was contemplating. One slip up and he could lose it all. "I know just the place." Of course he did. It wasn't like he'd not thought of all the drug alleys and pimp and ho rows that left their mark on the darker side of Seattle. And he sure as fuck wasn't stepping foot in Trinity ever again. Not to feed off of freshies. He'd not been back since he found out Alea owned it. BoundByDrkness: "No killing... promise." she replied. "And I'll be there to help you." Meaning, if things got too carried away... she could match him and maybe even over power him. She had done it before; had nearly killed him. Not one of her favorite memories. Thankfully, she had learned the truth and they were once more, becoming the close siblings they had been many centuries ago. "Lead the way." Sweet smile offered as she looped her arm with his. How fun was this going to be? Would be like old times, when they were just kids and seeking out trouble. Together. [d] Alex Vipond: She was calm, Alex felt like a junkie about to get a fix. Then again he always did have an overabundance of energy and sitting still was a problem while growing up. Alex smiled at her and lead her off, leaving the car in the lot. He didn't want it seen anywhere near where they were going. Traffic cams could be a bitch.

Alex Vipond: Walking the pier, hand in hand with Meghan, Alex was mulling over the events with the witch. His brow was furrowed as he was deep in thought, and then he drew in a slow, deep breath and let it out, just as slowly. "There's shit going on with Mars and Leland and I'm not sure what it is." He paused, looking out over the area as if he could find the answers in the sights and sounds of the tourist and shopping mecca of the waterfront.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan could tell something was going on. It didn't take the fact that they were mentally linked due to the bond. Her fingers curled with his as they walked hand in hand. "What kind of shit?" she asked with an arch of brow. "I mean, do you get any sense of whether its something good or bad? Any kind of gut instinct?" sje asked. Her lips were thin and tense as they frowned with worry and concern. [d]
Alex Vipond: "I believe the words used by the witch that is giving these predictions to Mars were blood and death, so I'm going to go with bad." Alex nodded, a glance around given before he looked back at her. "There was something about three, and blood on the road. I think that was referring to Mexico. She had that dream six months ago." Shrugging, he gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "I don't know what's going to go on, but if the three she was speaking of is Mars, Leland and I... It doesn't seem to bode well. I think maybe we should think about adding some security to the house. I can call Krystal; have her assemble a team."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan continued to look over at him and as he replied, brows arched a bit higher. "Blood and death? 6 months ago?" Meghan glanced to the ground for a moment in thought as they walked along. "Yeah... I don't like the sound of this, so I think maybe you are right." she said softly nodding. "Did you say something about a witch back when your sister first arrived? First revealed herself to you and nearly killed us when she attacked you at the studio?" she looked back to him with her inquiry. "Maybe you should find her and see what she says or thinks?" [d]
Alex Vipond: Alex gave a nod at the suggestion. "I gave her a call; asked if she could see if she can pick anything up. Maybe consult with this other witch. She said she'd do whatever she could. Javier's still not back, but I'll leave a message for him as well. I think we can likely use all the help we can on this. Castiel is ... non communicative." Which didn't just figure? Half the time the man, angel, whatever, was scaring the piss out of him, sneaking up on him, but when Alex needed him... "Maybe I should call him. Like, on the phone."
Meghan Vipond: "I think that would be best, for now. And yeah... leaving a message for Javier wouldn't be a bad idea either." she replied. When Alex mentioned Castiel, she gave him an odd look. The man... angel... whatever he was, was also odd. Very strange, but she supposed it had something to do with all that power and knowledge and not much experience with people here on earth. Not like people live here every day. The man was just too damn literal. "Does he even have a phone?" she asked. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Surprisingly enough, he does. Not that he's all that good at using it." Chuckling, Alex shook his head. "It seems to confuse him, more often than not, but I do have his number. I'll give him a call when we get home. I don't want the man suddenly showing up," not just arriving but literally appearing with them. It could cause panic if anyone were to notice.
Meghan Vipond: Megan found that to be a bit of a shock. But then with what more Alex offered, she chuckled and nodded. "I can see that and okay." Yeah, Meghan didn't want him here this very moment anyway.... not yet. She was just really shocked the man hadn't 'dropped' in when she and Alex were 'busy' at times. [d]
Alex Vipond: For all Alex knew the man had and simply hadn't let his presence be known. Castiel had mentioned once that he watched Alex at work without letting his presence be known. Alex was not, however, going to toss that damper on their sex life. If Cas wanted to get his jollies hanging out in their bedroom, Alex wanted to be blissfully unaware. "So I'll give him a call and Javier too, and see what happens. Maybe call that Smith guy that helped find Abby too. Uriah might have information," maybe. Dead people did talk, some incessantly. It was a wonder the man ever got any sleep.
Meghan Vipond: If that was the case... Meghan would also want to be blissfully unaware! The idea of God's Arch Angel being in their bedroom while shagging, was definitely a mood killer. Meghan nodded though as Alex started naming off some of these people who had special gifts. Some might consider them curses though. Though... one name she wasn't all that familair with. "Uriah? Wait... which one is he? Or have I met him?" Brows furrowed as she tried to think back. [d]
And So She Fell: "Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night." She, walking, had been for hours to random places in the city. The scent of blood in the air, but she couldn't help that. The sandals hung from her satchel, she'd been barefoot in the woods and now on the sidewalks. She looked to the side of her as if carrying on a conversation with someone who wasn't there. It had to have been a wave length, because a dead person was talking her head off. "No, it will wait the night." She hadn't been back to Muse or Tela in two days, since that night. Maybe it was the third morning? She lost track. The white raven was nowhere to be found. The bottom of her skirt was tattered fairly bad, a few long scratches down her arms along with the other several severe bruises on her person. The law of three finally hit home. Oddly enough there was an unusual small rock which caught her attention and she stopped, crouched down and picked it up. "There you have it, now when the time is right, but not before." She said to the unseen thing. Half guilt set in, but it wasn't entirely her fault for not doing as they demanded. Oh, the gifts are seen as both, it was more than the undead with her today unfortunately. She was completely unaware of the living around her. Standing up and she started walking again and moving her mouth without words. (d)
Alex Vipond: "He owns Styx," the pool hall, not the drummer. "British; very well groomed..." RJ would call him metro sexual. Alex paused, pulling Meghan closer, linked hands giving a turn until his arm draped over her shoulder and their joined hands met over her heart. He kissed her temple as he pulled her close, whispering. "She's here…" She, of course, being Mars' witch, Ella. Where she was, he'd not yet gotten a visual on, however. He searched the crowd, seeking her out.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan nodded as he told her who the guy was, but it didn't sound like anyone she had met yet. Or maybe she just misplaced him. In any case, she couldn't think of him. "And what's he do?" she asked curiously. Not like she would tell anyone. That might she was crazy right along with the rest of the kind of friends Alex had. That they had. Meghan was pulled closer and with hands linked, Alex was draping an arm across her shoulders as she was tucked in close to him. The kiss to her temple had her smile to him, but it quickly faded before an expression of confusion came. She? Meghan's eyes began to look around, as if she might know who this woman was. [d]
And So She Fell: The scent of the wolf still must be on her, because her ward was up high. Fate saw to that, she was nothing, not even a blip. The pawn was in dire danger for bringing another into the darker realms. She sensed nothing, maybe the shadows and the queen abandoned her? The dead surrounded her so they blocked out all of the noises in the crowd. Her throat was dry, so she swiped at the corner with her hand. Pieces of dirt lingered from the earth between the two standing stones -- the place of life and death. She started coughing again, violently. Turning her head and covering her mouth with the kerchief, she coughed up another god damn key. That made .. she lost count.. probably six at this point. Moving toward the edge of some bridge overlooking the water, she leaned there and hung her head down. She wanted to jump in, but instead grabbed the edge and screamed inside her head. (d)
Alex Vipond: It was the scent. Earth and skin, sweat, pheromones, and yes, wolf. Alex started walking, eyes skimming over the crowd as he tuned out the scents of hot dogs and cotton candy, tourists and vendors, and blood. Always the blood that coursed through their veins, sweet and hot, calling to him. He shoved it all away and paused, taking a deep breath, then made a slight course change and made his way to the pier rail, with Meghan still tucked in under his arm, secure. When he finally spotted the woman, he slowed, one brow rising as he regarded her appearance. He cast a glance to Meghan and then started forward again, calling out softly, questioningly. "Ella?"
Meghan Vipond: Alex seemed a bit to occupied to answer her question, because they were walking along, changing course, and then he was calling out to someone. Ella? Brows arched and she looked from her husband to the direction his gaze went, trying to pin point this Ella. Curious to know what the woman looked like obviously. And now, like her husband, with what he had shared, she wondered what it all meant. Suppose in time, it would be revealed. Whenever that might be.
And So She Fell: She heard her name, but waved her hand. The spirits often called to her and wanted her attention when she wasn't ready to give it. "I will tend to your needs when I am able, I have told you not the moment." She murmured, but not harshly. Honestly she thought he was a spirit that was the curse of walking between two worlds with Fate fucking trying to steal everything in process. She stood there with her head down; something got a hold of her. In the muddle of her mind, something screamed out and it was the number three. A sharp hiss as she jerked her head up thinking it was the man with no face back to remind her of what she didn't know, she moved to walk away before engaging in another argument with the devil. (d)
Alex Vipond: Getting a good look at her, Alex sucked in a breath, then reached out to catch her arm before she had a chance to get away. "Ella, what the... who..." he'd not seen anyone that battered in a good long while. "What the fuck happened?" His voice was, perhaps a bit sharper than intended and he glanced around; then looked back at her. "We need to get you to a hospital. Who did this to you?" Someone's ass needed to be handed to them.
Meghan Vipond: With Alex, they approached her and once they seperated long enough for him to reach out to take hold of this Ella, Meghan stepped aside and stepped back. While she might be stronger than the average human due to her bond with Alex: and his with Mars... sometimes that wasn't enough. Not where witches were concerned. When Meghan saw how badly beaten she was, it brought back harsh memories for herself. How Tony in his last days, had taken out his frustrations on her. Which was why she had left Rhode Island and moved to live with Asher at the time, here in Seattle. Like Alex, she wanted to know who did it, why, and where to find them so she could help hand that ass to them. [d]
And So She Fell: When someone touched her, she turned and grabbed the hand and spit her words. "You are not allowed to fucking touch me now three is done." She expected to see the man with no face, but it wasn't him. It was Alex and a woman nearby. She inhaled sharply and let go if his hand. "Forgive me, I thought you.. you were someone else. I'm sorry Alex.." His words took time to seep through her brain and she shook her head. "No hospital. No healers." It wouldn't work, she'd bind everything up later. Holding her hands up. "Please.. forgive me.. I will .. " She wanted to say more, but the more of anything said could/would be dangerous. "I meant no offense." For her harshness. "I do not know how to explain this.." Not that it would make any logical sense. "Payment." Was all she could manage at the moment. They were real, the unseen dead around her were abandoned for reality. She looked thankful to him and his wife. "You are kind." (d)
Alex Vipond: "Look, we're drawing attention here, let's get you off the streets at least and somewhere safe." He glanced around and yes, more than a few glances were being sent their way. "Let us get you somewhere quiet and muddle our way through this, shall we?" For all that Alex was as modern with his Cali 'tude and rocker lingo, he was just as deeply old world at times. He guided her back the way they'd come, his hand slipping back into Meghan's as he took Ella's elbow gently, as if he was afraid he'd cause further injury. "What did you mean, now three is done? And payment for what? Who made you look like you tumbled over a cliff?"
Meghan Vipond: Meghan agree. Best to get some place out of the public eye. Meghan was shedding her leather jacket and offering it, in case she was showing to much exposed and bruised skin. With the guidence of her husband, they would try to pull Ella off to te side somewhere and perhaps in a more shaded area. Something a bit more reclusive. Most of what Ella said was lost on her. She wasn't good at riddle me this, kind of stuff. [d]
And So She Fell: She didn't have any problem following, as long as she could see where they were going. It took her a few minutes to walk, but she tried to keep up with their pace. "Three.. three the law of three. Payment is required for anything taken. You remember the road?" He did, didn't he? The white raven and the strange conversation. Looking over at Meghan a few times, trying to recall where she saw her. For Ella everything was in pieces, and looking at broken glass it wasn't always clear. "Your woman.. " Seeing they are holding hands. "It all makes sense." She said to herself, where some things didn't make sense. Most people weren't good at riddle me this, and she knew it, but sometimes she couldn't do anything about it. The curse of being bound to Fate. (d)
Alex Vipond: "The road where you spoke of a road and blood. Mars and I speculated it was the road we took to Mexicali." He kept that low, lest someone overhear and have the desire to repeat it. You know how gossip goes. Each person tells two more and before long everyone knows and it's blown way the fuck out of proportion. By the time those outward ripples stilled from one tiny bit of information, Alex could be accused of starting an international incident as a drug runner. One brow rose as he looked back at Ella. "What about my woman?" To say Alex was uber protective was the understatement of the century.
Meghan Vipond: As they were off and out of plain sight for the most part, Meghan continued to stand aside and let her husband and Ella speak. She was find being the silent observer and trying to piece together this very odd puzzle that formed in her mind. When Ella spoke and said Your Woman, her brows arched and she gave a questionable gaze to Alex and then back to Ella. "Yeah... what about me?" she asked curiously. [d]
And So She Fell: "There is three.. bond of souls, bond of blood.. it makes sense." She didn't mean to be cryptic. "I saw three, three but I .." She was trying to figure out in her mind exactly what was going on. "The road we were upon, the raven the white.. I know now." Not that they needed her protection, but she knew how to pray better for answers. "Your woman is very lovely." Thoughts running through her mind, but he didn't want information that was in pieces. "My pardons and forgiveness." Both he and Mars clearly said they wanted to know a whole. Pieces here, pieces leading to something else. "Forgive me for not knowing all." She turned and moved from where they were. She soon fell into the crowd and maybe in to the in-betweens. (d)
Alex Vipond: As they walked to the car, he pulled his keys, a double tap given the key to unlock the doors and disable the alarm. "Just give me what you got. We may be able to fill in the gaps." Pulling the rear door open, he guided Ella to the murdered out Benz. No trace of chrome lay anywhere on the ride; the hood ornament? Gone. All other insignia to state what make and model the car was, was completely blacked out. That, with the limo dark window tint would lend them privacy. "Is there any place in particular we can take you so you can be seen to?"
Meghan Vipond: Meghan was just at a loss for words really. None of this made any real sense, but then... Albert Einstein was a genius and some say he was mad. She lingered where Alex and Ella were, close by the car, but was glancing about here and there. Gaze turned back to them though as she was pondering on what Ella had said earlier. [d]
And So She Fell: The key was distracting her, but a tug on her elbow guiding her away toward the car. She pulled her hand back and stood away from the car. "No, no." She wasn't getting in. "No, I have to get the key... the k... and I will not get into that ... thing. No. I cannot. NO..." Ella started to visibly shake. It was worse than any drug withdrawal. "Never in that... on it, in it... I can't. I need the key.. not that. I need the key for answers. You don't understand." Backing away from what she considered a beast with no soul -- the limo. (d)
Alex Vipond: "It's just a car. It's fine." Closing the door, Alex looked back at her, stepping toward her, he held his hands out, a glance around given to see if they'd drawn any attention. Looking back, Alex shot a glance to Meghan, not understanding the whole key thing. "What key? Tell me about the key."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan blinked a few times as Ella refused to get into the car. Brows arched. She acted like the things was going to eather alive. Glance to Alex and Meghan's expression said it all. What the fuck? Gaze came to drift between the pair of them a few times though, waiting... watching. [d]
And So She Fell: She hadn't told anyone her secret. "I was trapped in one of those soul-less beasts.. never again. Never." He asked her about the key. "The card, the keys.. I lost.. " She moved the satchel around her torso and started rummaging through, there were a few down inside. Crouching down, she pulled out the Moon tarot card out and two keys, odd looking keys arranging them around the moon card. "The third, the third is back there.. answers come. I have to get the key. He is not the fucking guardian. He can't be." Ella grabbed one of the keys and started to file it down on the cement. "Keep him safe." Then she dropped it and looked up. "Ask the wolf." She wasn't mad or hurt, she wanted to keep him away for his own safety. "I have to get the key." Ella didn't wait for permission. She left the two other keys and the Moon card on the ground. The Moon card was ancient, certainly from the old world, hand painted on paper you can't get there. (d)
Alex Vipond: One brow rose as he watched this and then looked back at Meghan. Maybe he should rethink this whole thing. "So...." It was like a really awkward date. One of those you just can't wait for the end of the night just so you can slip away. "Um...." Looking from his wife back to Ella, he tried to make sense of what she was saying. "What?"
Meghan Vipond: Meghan held up her hands in that Hey... don't look at me, I haven't the slightest clue what the hell is going on here fashion. By now? Meghan was pretty sure those that Alex mentioned earlier were gonna be needed in some fashion or form. The other witch, Javier, Castiel and the Uriah guy along with whomever the man had been to help with Abby's case and finding her. [d]
And So She Fell: Ella stopped for only a second. "Tell him he was mistaken. He had to be mistaken. What he saw..." She felt sick just thinking about it. It was a memory she couldn't recall, something in her past going to knock down the house of cards. "Forgive me." Then she turned to get away from them as fast as she could. (d)
Alex Vipond: "Ella... Tell who he was mistaken?" Alex took a risk and moved after her, one hand reaching to take gentle hold of her wrist. "Look at me." His free hand lifted to touch her face, and draw her eyes to his. "Calm down. Take a deep breath and hold it, then let it out slowly. Okay, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Just breathe...."
And So She Fell: Jerking her hand away. "You do not understand.. touch.. evidence. Tell.. Mars to stay away please." Thankfully gentle sway of the kindred would not touch the soul of nothing. Fate had a funny way of protecting what wasn't even supposed to be alive. Could he bleed her? Sure he could, thought her blood was a killer to the kindred as fate deemed it, who knew what the hell they did to her here. "Tell him to stay away, please." They didn't understand, she didn't really understand any of it either. She had to keep moving or maybe the wolf find her. She had to get the key and get back to Tela. (d)
Alex Vipond: Gentle sway hell, he was using yoga on her. What? He dated a yoga instructor once. She was ... bendy. "Touch what evidence? Stay away from what? What am I supposed to do with this shit?" Keys and a tarot card. Great.
And So She Fell: She knew what he was, respected his kind, even had protected many from being hunted where she was from. She was moving away and she simply repeated what she said before. If Alex showed Mars the card, he would probably know what it meant. The keys were also part of everything... but the third, she hadn't expected the third. On her way away, she prayed to the gods for Alex's and Meghan's protection, continued blessings as they had one another. Murmuring to the winds. "I'm sorry." She had to get back to the bridge thingie and get the key. For now, she wanted Mars just to stay away from her. She had to find out what happened, what truly happened then. (d)
Alex Vipond: Alex watched her go, a shake of his head given. "Fucking bizarre." And for someone who had lived as long as he had, to be saying such, meant it was... pretty fucking weird. Alex looked over at Meghan, and then to Ella's receding back. He threw up his hands, gathered what she'd left there on the ground in the parking lot. He turned the items over in hand, regarding them speculatively. Perhaps Izzy could shed some light on the items. Or Smith. Someone. "Fuck me."

Alex Vipond: Alex was at the end of the pier, forearms resting on the rail as he leaned, his left foot rested on a lower rung. Shades covered his face despite the overcast day and the long evening shadows. The weather was mild and Alex was in a long sleeved, black button front, rather than his usual t-shirt. He still had that chain hanging from his hip that lead to nowhere but the pin holding it in place on back pocket of his jeans. The breeze tousled his hair and occasionally he would drag his hand through it to pull it back from his eyes, only to have it fall or swept back down by the breeze. He watched the gulls dive and swerve in their search for the tastiest tidbits. Some picked up food tossed by tourists into the water, fought over it, really, and others just dove for the clams they knew they'd find on the bottom. Those they would make runs at the piers, populated or not, and drop them to break them open. More than one tourist got hit from time to time.
Lux: - The night called to her even as the shadow's fought with the light as dull as the light had been through the thick Seattle clouds. That was no matter to her, Earth...this place it was beautiful in all its shades. The mist was thick in the air and she adored that feeling, she never was particularly looking for anyone yet she found him rather easily. The feeling that he would get was fleeting nearly nonexistent the entrance far less physically noted, it was a quiet affair her voice rising as she seemed to materialize from that thick air. Perched on the railing on the peer her eyes fixated out on the vision at hand. Her dress was of soft cotton, a salmon color shone brightly against naturally tanned skin; the hem falling just to her mid-thigh. The sleeves were kept long and the neckline pleasing. Her hair left down and wild in waves- “You know this is really quite a site..." - She sighed her palm resting on the railing to the side, eyes slipping sideways- “I’m not interrupting am I?" – d
Alex Vipond: Alex didn't look at her as she made her appearance, his gaze remained out on the water, on the gulls in their aerial dance, but there was a smirk touching his lips as he spoke. "We have to stop meeting like this. People are going to talk." Amusement laced his tone and he finally looked at her. "Why would you be interrupting? I really don't think the gulls note much that isn't food related."
Lux: " How would you prefer to meet?" - She would glance to him briefly before looking back out over the water.- " Is that what people spend their time talking about..." - She would ponder quietly- " If you like...I could simply speak within your thoughts...then what would people say I wonder" - A smile touched her lips and she closed her eyes- " No but I know a man's thoughts are his own and sometimes he likes to be left with them" - She would lift a shoulder in a slight shrug- " What brings you out...?" – d
Alex Vipond: "You, woman are entirely too literal." He chuckled and shook his head. "It was a joke." He nodded at her last. "Yes. We do indeed appreciate being left alone inside our heads. Then again, most people do. It can get a bit crowded otherwise. " Alex shrugged at her question. "I just like to watch the world go by. It's soothing, watching the sea, listening to the sounds of the people as they move about, some pausing to appreciate the view as well."
Lux: " I apologize. " - She laughed truly amused.- " Sometimes I forget where I am...but it was Funny Alex" - She turned herself more fully toward him by tossing her legs over the side of the railing crossing them gently- " I can understand that..." - She sighed and slipped off the edge of the rail to her feet.- " I have looked for your friend... nothing yet but I will keep looking" - She glanced down the pier watching as people came and went.- "You have been alone a lot as of late.." - She canted her head to the side regarding him- d
Alex Vipond: Alex watched as she tossed her legs to the other side of the rail, the admonition to be careful dying on his lips before it could form. She was a deity. Did she really run the risk of falling? And if so, could it even possibly harm her? "People get busy. It happens." He gave a shrug. Truth be known, he'd spent a good portion of his life alone, in between moments of discovery.
Lux: - She would come to fold her arms together over the railing leaning much the same way he was her arm pressed up against his. She had no ideals of personal bubbles. She liked to touch...observe. This was not her place yet she enjoyed being absorbed in it- "Yes they do, though I find that they often think they are far busier then they truly are. Or feel everything is more important than what it is" - She sighed softly, her tone quiet- "Humanity is complicated...it’s funny to think how simple it could be" - She glanced up at him, she was quite slight in height and build- " Enough about things we cannot change...there is something I have been dying to try" - she offered a wild eyed gaze his way- " I could use the company" –
Alex Vipond: "Humanity is always in a hurry to get somewhere. So much so, that many rush to their own doom without taking the time to appreciate the simple things in life. I often wonder if they realize in that last moment, before life fades away if that they've squandered so much in the pursuit of their goals, and if they regret." When she looked up at him, he looked down, one brow cocking upward. "Oh? And what is that?"
Lux: " What is fate to a goldfish?" - She said simply with a soft smile. She inhaled deeply and glanced down the long pier and smiled.- " Just at the end there is a place with all these lights and sounds...very brightly colored...I do believe they call it an Arcade." - She grinned widely. Holding a hand out to him- " Come on..." - It was the little things honestly the little things that humanity could provide- d
Alex Vipond: Chuckling, Alex nodded, taking the offered hand as he helped her down from her lean/perch on the rail. He then dragged his hand through his hair, dragging it from his face as he turned. "You should try cotton candy, too. And corn dogs and I think they've got a clam bake stand down there, and maybe even some Indian fry bread." It was a cornucopia of fair like treats.
Lux: " Cotton Candy" - she repeated quietly- "I enjoy the sound of that.." once she found her footing it was heading down to the end of the pier. Keeping in step with him of course.- " I've been keeping an eye on this place for several days now..." - She seemed almost devious in her stalk of the Arcade. Once the end of the pier came it was like a kid seeing Christmas up close for the first time. The lights and sounds were in full swing; her hands came up clapping together excitedly while the silver wrist bangles jingle jangled. Stepping in she took note of the games, buttons and knobs and all sorts of things. But what interested her most was the pinball machine. Standing in front of the noisy machine her fingers found the button's on the sides. Luckily someone had left a ball to play once she figured out the mechanics of it she began to push the buttons- d
Alex Vipond: Chuckling, Alex watched her. It was very much like watching a kid at Christmas as she explored. While she played with the pinball machine, he bought some game tokens, and a wand of cotton candy; then moved back toward She'd need to tokens for the games once that ball played out on the pinball machine.
Lux: - When he meandered back over to her she was in the process of nearly shaking the machine, which actually moved when she did it. Guess she didn’t know her own strength but she was down looking in the change hole and pulling on the shoot knob half pouting. She glanced up seeing the cotton candy wand- "It isn't working..." - she said very disappointed; popping up upon seeing the colorful stick- "Cotton candy I presume?" - fingers tugged some of the fluff and popped it in her mouth- "Mmmm ohmygoodness" - she took a little more- " it just melts..." – d
Alex Vipond: "You're going to tilt it..." Too late, she done lost it. He chuckled, laid the tokens on the glass of the machine, and then held the cotton candy out to her. "That it does. Drop a token in, some of these machines take more than one token, so you have to make sure you've put in the right amount to make them work. “
Lux: - She chuckled and took the cotton candy and dropped the tokens in before the game re-started- "So do you like places like this Alex?" - She would glance up to him briefly before her lip was pulled between her teeth and she began to really attack the game yet again. Still holding conversation with him- "You seem quite classy" - She chuckled lowly- " It’s my understanding it is a French trait" – d
Alex Vipond: "Well, I've known some less than classy Frenchmen. And yes, to answer your question, I do enjoy places like this. I like watching those enjoying the amusements. It's fun." He shrugged, hands tucked into the pockets of his jeans, gum rolling from one side of his mouth to the other. He'd finally propped his shades up on top of his head as night drew down.

Alex Vipond: It was a cool sixty eight degrees; overcast with intermittent rain: Nothing unusual for Seattle. People who lived here were used to it. Those who didn't wondered if the sun ever shone or the moon was ever seen. If one was truly gullible, you could convince them that Seattle had no moon. It was just the way it was. Despite the overcast and the drizzle, people were out and about. There were sights to be seen; touristy things to buy. And there was always something going on at the waterfront. The pier held all sorts of attractions, from rides and arcades to restaurants and gift shops. Everything one needed to either shop or watch those that did. It was one of Alex's favorite things. Just wandering around, watching those who were finding their touristy treasures. Fingers laced with Meghan's, he lifted an arm to point out the gulls down at the end of the pier who were dive bombing the patrons with clams. Not that the feathered bastards were meaning to hit anyone, at least not that Alex could discern, but the dropping of them onto the pier broke them open and the gulls then mobbed the broken mess and ate their catch. Alex could have just as easily been a tourist, except he wasn't sporting a camera. Then again, most used their phones these days. Alex's phone was in his jacket pocket, however. "I keep waiting for someone to get a concussion."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan walked with Alex, hand in hand, fingers laced. When he pointed out the gulls, she looked of course and smiled. When he spoke, she chuckled. "That or get pooped on." she replied. She let her gaze turned back to him. "I'm glad we're finally getting a night to ourselves. Mostly." she offered. "Things have been pretty crazy and pretty stressful." Alex and she had house guests, and Meghan had been spending time with Charlie. "Maybe now, things will sort of… smooth out for us." she quietly offered. [d]
Alex Vipond: "I'm sure that happens more often than people care for." He chuckled and then looked at her as he felt her gaze shift. Smiling, he brought her hand to his lips, kissing the back of it. "It will. And if not, I will kick someone's ass." Proverbial or otherwise. "How is Charlie?" Alex liked the man, he was funny, and didn't take crap from anyone.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan smirked. When her hand was lifted and the kiss given to it, she smiled sweetly to him. "I know you will. And I appreciate that." She leaned in a pressed a kiss to his cheek. When he asked how Charlie was doing, she nodded. "He is doing okay. Just, when he gets sick, I worry about him. Virus or otherwise. So I just try to stick around and help him out as much as I can." she replied. [d]
Alex Vipond: Alex nodded. "We should have him over for dinner someday soon. Oh, and I was talking with Bren before she left town. We decided we need to have parties just because. Not always due to an event. And since we have a whole month between now and October, maybe we could have a party at the house some week end. Invite folks over, let them stay the night if they get shitfaced and can't drive. What do you think?"
Meghan Vipond: "Yeah, that would be nice. I think he would like that. Especially now, since you can actually enjoy the food." she replied with a grin. When he spoke of Bren and their idea, she chuckled and nodded. "It sounds like a good idea to me. Who do you plan on inviting?" she asked curiously with an arched brow. "And you know we wouldn't let anyone drive home after drinking. But if Sasha and Mason join in, I think its safe to say, the guest house is theirs...." she said with a chuckle. "I'm sure TC and Abby would be fine with one of the guest rooms again." [d]
Alex Vipond: Laughing he nodded. "I have no doubt." He paused, looking out over the water at the boats as they made their way along the sound. "You know... We never did make it out to Blake Island." He looked back at her, and gave her a turn as if they were dancing, his hand never letting go of hers as he drew her in to his side again, with his arm around her shoulders this time. "We should do that soon, especially now that my dietary restrictions are no longer a concern."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan looked from him and to the boats. When he mentioned Blake Island, brows arched. "Blake Island?" she asked. Obviously having forgotten. "I'm sorry babe but you'll have to refresh my memory..." she said with a chuckle. "There have been so many times we've planned something, but something else would get in the way." Like a prick headed vampire who just couldn't take no for an answer. Or his master who had tried her whims on Alex. Or Alex's own childe who had become more of a problem than anyone could have imagined. Thank God that was all in the past though. Luckily, with the arrival of his sister and their maker, things were .... okay. [d]
Alex Vipond: "The proposed first date. We ended up dining in the China Room at Smith Tower, instead, due to ... unforeseen circumstances." Mainly a fun filled night of killing zombies. "We should check it out, though, before the weather starts getting too cold." Too cold. A blizzard would be too cold. Seattle wasn't the coldest of places but it sure as shit wasn't the warmest, either. Their summer temperatures were admired from all around.
Meghan Vipond: "That's right... the clam bake and all. Camp fire..." she replied. "And to be honest... the China Room at Smith Tower wasn't at all that bad so. You didn't get any complaints then nor will you now." she replied with a smile and leaned in for a quick kiss to his lips even as they walked along. They were coordinated like that. [d]
Alex Vipond: He smiled into the kiss, and then gave another peck to her lips before he looked around the pier. "I think there's a glass blower around somewhere... One of those dudes that does the spun glass stuff and ships in bottles and what not..." He was looking around, searching for the place. "I could be wrong." He'd thought he was wrong once, but he'd been mistaken.
Meghan Vipond: The peck to her lips had her grinning but then her gaze was looking about to help him find the glass blower he had mentioned. "I know what you mean. But why are you looking for one of them?" she asked curiously. "Is there something in particular you want to have or see created?" she followed up with. "And I'm sure if you think one was here before, there's no reason why one wouldn't be here again." [d]
Alex Vipond: "I was just curious to see if they actually blow the glass there, or if it's something they do elsewhere and bring in." he shrugged. "I think it would be interesting to see the process. Just one of those random things that jumped into my head..." He chuckled; then kissed her temple. "Sometimes I have more crap in my head at a given point in time than is necessary."
Meghan Vipond: "Oh." she replied. "Well... I'd have to agree. I think it would be pretty neat to see how those things are made. I mean... I've seen it on tv before, but never in person." she added. "And from what I remember seeing on TV, it was pretty awesome. Even if I was just a little girl when I saw it." she smiled at the kiss to her temple. "Random thoughts aren't always a bad thing you know." she gave a side glance and waggled her thin dark brows. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Random can be good." he nodded as he smiled to her. "You hungry? There's all kinds of food around here." There weren't just the restaurants, either, there were stands much like you would see at a fair that sold things. "Maybe a ride on the Ferris wheel?" The lights of the rides lit the pier up almost like day, and the reflection of those lights on the water could be mesmerizing.
Meghan Vipond: "Polish sausage." she replied. "With onions and peppers." she added. You could not go wrong with that. "And yes, a ride on the Ferris wheel would be fun." she replied with a nod and a smile. [d]
Alex Vipond: Alex nodded and guided her toward a stand selling a variety of dogs and sausages and he ordered two, with onions and peppers, and drinks to go with. After paying for the items, he handed Meghan hers and her pop, then took his and looked around. "There's a bench over there." He gestured with sausage in hand, Polish sausage, he's not a perv, and then guided her in that direction.
Meghan Vipond: They moved off to the stand where the dogs and sausages could be found and their order was made. Meghan carried hers and Alex carried his. Drinks too. Got to have a good carbinated coco cola with the greasy sausage dog. When he mentioned the bench, she nodded. "Sounds good to me." she replied and began to make her way over toward it, alongside her husband. Once they reached the bench and she took her seat, she sighed. "Ermahgerd... I'm so in heaven right now. This is so very bad for my health, but... I dont care. It’s SO good." She took a big bite and moaned. A glance to Alex and she couldn't help but smile as she chewed. What?! She liked what she liked! [d]
Alex Vipond: Chuckling, he nodded, watching her. "I can honestly say, I've never held much concern for trans-fat and sugar and all those other unhealthy things." In his youth, no one was concerned about such things. No one knew the dangers of such things. And lately when everyone became so conscious of them, they were not a concern for him. He took a bite, a bit of grease and some of the toppings escaping to land on the table. Alex took up a napkin and wiped the mess up, then just laid another out underneath him because he knew it was going to be a lost cause. "This is fucking good..." He took another bite and just enjoyed the flavors.
Meghan Vipond: "Well... normally I wouldn't but... I do have to worry about keeping fit and looking good for my husband. You know? I wouldn't want him to feel like he was married to some... well, an unattractive version of myself." she replied. Meghan was only partly teasing. The woman was as skinny as a rail and her metabolism, given her bond with Alex and Mars was likely to gobble up anything and everything that was sugar or fat and turn it into fuel rather than bad calories stored away to add weight to those hips or thighs or even her ass. "I know, right?" she asked as she took another big bite. [d]
Alex Vipond: He chuckled. "You could never be an unattractive version of anything." With a napkin tucked in hand to clean up any mess on his face as he ate, Alex continued to eat. "Oh man... this will definitely open up the sinuses." He smirked, and then took a sip of his drink. "So you think Blake Island this coming week end?"
Meghan Vipond: Meghan continued to enjoy her polish sausage, bite by bite and occasionally washing it down with a couple sips of coke here and there. She glanced to Alex and smile. "Awwww..." she replied and then leaned in, giving him a bit of a greasy kiss to his lips as the flavor of the sausage and onions and peppers lingers on her lips. She had to chuckle though when he talked about how it opened up the sinuses. When he asked about Blake Island, she nodded. "I think that sounds like a great idea." she replied, taking a napkin and wiping her mouth clean before glancing down to make sure she hadn't made a mess anywhere. [d]
Alex Vipond: That kiss deserved another and he leaned in to give one, a light nuzzle given before he straightened. "Cool. We can make an evening of it, do the whole bon fire on the beach thing, sit and snuggle in the sand... “He smiled to her. "I know there's been a lot of places we've wanted to go and haven't for one reason or another, but now that things are mellowing out a bit, we should be able to get to them." Finishing off his dog, he cleaned up his face and place and tossed the trash into the bin, and then did a mini little victory dance from his place on the bench. "Nothing but net..."
Meghan Vipond: "I'd like that. A lot." she replied, a nod followed. She listened as he spoke further on travel possibilities and she smiled. She leaned in for another kiss as one hand cupped a side of his face. "We'll get to it when we get to it. We got all the time in the world, you and I." She replied. "You know I'm not going anywhere and it’s hard as hell to kill a man like yourself." she added. "Besides, I don't think I'm the only woman who would do what she could, to see that never happens." Meaning his sister and a few of their friends, like Krystal. She let go and smiled before watching him take the shot. "Two kisses for the shot." Instead of two points. Peck peck. [d]
Alex Vipond: "mmm." He smiled at the kisses, and then took another one, just because. Turning to sit sideways on the bench, one leg to either side, he scooted closer to her, arm going around her waist. "And yes, we have all sorts of time, but some of that time is going to be spent on the road, and as much as I love the guys, and have fun with them, it's not overly romantic riding around with them when they're bent on having farting contests." He chuckled.
Meghan Vipond: She chuckled at his stealing one more kiss. The man, sometimes, you would think he was greedy. Okay, so maybe he was, but still... When he scooted closer and wrapped an arm around her, she leaned in to him. "I know, but it'll be okay. We survived it before." she replied. "I mean, really, if you have too, we could always get a second bus. One for just me, you and your stuff. Your stuff meaning his guitars and etc. "Unless you don't think that would be wise." she added. "But it’s completely up to you." Arms came to wrap around him. [d]
Alex Vipond: "It's not like we spend all our time in a bus, just ... a lot of it." He chuckled. "It's a little early yet to be thinking of next year's tour anyway and too there's the security of it, easier to secure one bus over two. I just don't want us getting lost in the shuffle, know what I mean? I know some guys leave their wives home while they're touring. I ... can't imagine that, ever." He wouldn't want to, either. "So long as you don't get tired of it, it's all good."
Meghan Vipond: "Well, it’s a thought. And not that I don't like sneaking around, but I'm not exactly happy with the idea that one of your band members might catch us in the act one day and get their eyes full. Only eyes I want on me are yours....." she said with a snicker. " I know.. it’s silly but... it’s just me I guess..." she replied with a shrug of slender shoulders. "And no... I'm not tired of it yet. But I imagine at some point, we're going to need that second bus. Privacy is ... well, it’s important. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there." [d]
Alex Vipond: "No, it's not silly. I don't want them seeing as much of you as I get to either." He chuckled and rose, hand out for hers. "Speaking of doing things...." he waggled his brows at her. "Care to go home and do some of those things we don't want the guys catching us doing?"
Meghan Vipond: Meghan chuckled and nodded. Even blushed at the idea of Alex's buddies and band members seeing things about her where they shouldn't. It wasn't so much as exposed skin, but the acts, sometimes lewd ones too. These two were terrible when it came to that stuff. When he asked if she were ready to head home and do some of those things... she laughed and nodded. "Absolutely, but ... I call tops first." she teased. She slipped her hand into his, her fingers lacing with Alex's and she'd wait for him to stand before she did the same, so he could lead them away. [d]
Alex Vipond: Laughing, he did just that, lead them back to the car, the Ferris wheel forgotten in lieu of a far more pleasant past time. Grinning, he looked at her and broke into a run, her hand in his, laughing like the happy assed fool he was.

Alex Vipond: Alex was taking in the sights, glad to be home, even if it was only for the month. There wasn't but a handful of shows left in the tour, and then it was done. He loved performing, he loved the energy of the crowds, but it was also very, very tiring. Especially when he had to be hyper vigilant about the front. One wrong move and all was lost. Not just his career, but he could easily see the council in Europe putting out an order to end his life. If that happened, what would become of Meghan? Alex didn't want to think about it, so he shoved the thought away. Nothing would go wrong. He would work, write and record for as long as he could, before he had to disappear to avoid suspicion.
Terri x Kurai: Piercing blue eyes stared straight ahead while the woman sat on a bench, presumably in deep thought. Normally Terri would be in her club, usually in the confines of her tattoo parlor, however, there were some nights she just needed a break from the writhing bodies and high energy from those that inevitably were attracted to the club like moths to a flame. She wore a pair of black wide legged jeans, a chain hooked to a belt loop which was attached to a wallet that was tucked into her pocket. Her torso wrapped in long sleeved fishnet top and over that a short sleeved button up shirt... yes, black even. She had three piercings in her lower lip and that would be the extent of her body jewelry, minus the ear piercings. Any tattoos she bore were covered up and she wore her black hair chin length with red streaks. Eventually she would acknowledge the other body walking along, catching movement out of the corner ofher eye and giving a nod in his direction.
Alex Vipond: For once it seemed like Alex had more ink than someone. Considering the fact that two of the tattoos he now sported were gotten in the last year, and he only had four, it wasn't hard for someone who sported ink to be more covered. The most extensive ink he had was down his left arm, and that... had hurt like a bitch. He'd taken to cutting the sleeves off of his t-shirts of late, just so the ink would show. The left arm had the design he'd created, which he called Mother Earth but the face of the woman bore a startling resemblance to his wife. Long tendrils of 'hair' coursed down the length of his arm and ended just above the kokopelli tatt on the inside of his left wrist that he'd gotten in '95. On the inside of his right arm was the script, Donate Life, which he'd had inked in support of the charitable organization. And on his right shoulder, was a red fleur de lis, which was not only a nod to his heritage but the logo of the band. His own jeans, though not wide, were ripped in places, and he too sported a wallet chain, only on Alex, there was no wallet. The chain terminated at his back pocket by way of a heavy safety pin, the kind you'd use on a kid's diaper. The nod was returned and Alex regarded the woman. She wasn't familiar and he didn't push, or pry, he just let nature take its course, in any way that it would. A deep, indrawn breath was had, and let out slowly.
Terri x Kurai: The nearer he drew, the more attentive she became - one might say she was checking him out, but not the way one would expect. Working in a parlor herself, she was merely admiring the ink he bore. Granted, it was rather ironic, that she could only brag about one solitary ink job on the right side of her lower back due to her profession, but Terri ignored those insisting she ought to have more. "Where did you get those done?" She asked when he came within ear shot. If he'd been expecting a fan girl moment, he'd be sorely mistaken for if she recognized him at all, she didn't let on about it.
Alex Vipond: Thank God. Not that he didn't adore his fans, he did, but sometimes they could be overwhelming. He smiled, and chuckled. "This one..." he pointed at the left inner wrist and the kokopelli there. "I got at a place in Redondo and this one..." he lifted his right arm to show that one on the inside of his forearm. "That I got in Santa Monica. The other two I got locally at a place called Wild Cherry but it's closed down now, the owner had to move back east so she closed up shop." Alex nodded. "You sling ink?" Wild guess, but not so farfetched: She wasn't covered so she wasn't one of those who had to have more and more, yet she showed a decided interest.
Terri x Kurai: She listened to his response, looking over the tattoos as he explained them, a nod given every once in a while. When asked about her and ink, she gave a nod. "Owner of Club Eros and Monster's Ink. More or less a club with a tattoo parlor tucked inside.”

Alex Vipond: "Really." Alex nodded when she mentioned the place she owned, that both catered to the club crowd and those looking for ink. "That's a unique set up. Get many drunk people looking for ink they may regret later?"
Terri x Kurai: Terri couldn't resist a grin, showing off the prominent pointed canines when doing so. "They try, I won't deny that. I just don't let 'em." She had all the legal necessities down for it. They signed a waiver when coming to her little corner of paradise giving permission for basic sobriety test to be given before getting inked - or pierced even. If the waiver wasn't signed, sober or not, they didn't get what they wanted. "Ought to come by sometime. I'll even up the security to ensure nothing gets out of hand." And in that statement alone, she let him know she knew who he was.
Alex Vipond: Alex regarded her a moment, then chuckled. "It's appreciated. I don't often get mobbed at home, fortunately, but good God, you should see the baggage claim areas of many an airport when we touch down." He shook his head. It could get downright nasty at times. He'd almost lost his Clash t-shirt in Tokyo. Right off his back.
Terri x Kurai: "Oh... I know... you see the true potential of human nature when those fans get riled up." She replied with a chuckle, looking down at the ground before feeling compelled to explain. "Groupie turned drummer some ten or so years ago... my... Sire and his other half... when I lived with them, we couldn't leave the house without being mobbed." A shrug given before looking to Alex again. "Now I run a helluva night club that gives lesser known bands that sensation of a screaming crowd." Which... if one group was particularly good, then they got to have the stampeding crowds and whatnot.
Alex Vipond: Alex gave a nod. "It wasn't like that, years ago. I think with Elvis and the Beatles though, things sort of started snowballing from there." And there was a slight, very slight, testament to his age. Alex turned and leaned against the rail that separated the walk from the drop to the water below. "Drums, huh." He smiled. "I don't know what it is, but a chick who plays drums..." and there he stopped and shook his head. "Well, they have a way with wooing the young men in the crowd."
Terri x Kurai: Catching his pause, she'd make a 'tsk tsk' sound though smirked. "Girls dig the guys behind the drums also... so it's one of those universal roles." She answered, then shrugged. "Truthfully, I hated it... the drums were more of shield than anything else."
Alex Vipond: "Really?" One brow rose as he regarded her. "You hated playing or hated being in front of a crowd?" It could be intimidating for some. Alex had no issue because he loved the energy of a live crowd, lived for it in fact. He just didn't want to do so much of it at one time, ever again. This tour, which wasn't over yet, he still had five shows in late September /early October, had been brutal.
Terri x Kurai: "The fans... couldn't walk anywhere for a show without getting clothing torn up." Then again sometimes the clothes worn were a little on the shredded side anyway, but still.
Alex Vipond: Preaching to the choir, sister. Alex's clothes often looked like thrift store rejects, despite the designer labels. "Yeah, It can be hectic, though I love meeting the fans, sometimes I spend time with them before the show and after I usually spend a good three or four hours signing CDs after, depending on the size of the crowd."
Terri x Kurai: "I suppose it works if you're into meeting the fans... or being around people in general." Terri was not the socializing sort before the past couple years or so. And that was only because her old mentor, who had been hired by her Sire some years back, found her again. "Granted things have changed, otherwise I wouldn't be doing what I do now."
Alex Vipond: "True, it's sort of a prerequisite to being a tattoo artist that you have to deal with people, let alone running a night club." Alex debated that, and wondered how the hell Alea was so successful at it, but then she ran things from the shadows and only really dealt with her employees. It was rare she got involved with the masses.
Terri x Kurai: Terri dealt with the employees and the attendants on a regular basis. Not just the ones looking for tattoos and piercings either, she spent time at the bar once or twice. Her club was known as neutral grounds too - humans and the unknown creatures that went bump during the night - or both day and night. Any troublemakers were swiftly dealt with to keep from ruining the ambiance. Any troublemakers were swiftly dealt with to keep from ruining the ambiance. "So what got you started?" She asked, and then clarified. "I mean, what made you start your band, going on tour, so on and so forth."
Alex Vipond: "I finally decided that I wasn't going to sit in the shadows of others, in the background. I mean I've been writing music since I was a small child; I just haven't had much outlet for it. I almost kicked things off a decade ago, but pulled back. Fortunately I look really young as a blond, so it hasn't been an issue that I had a false start ten years ago, and so far it's worked. But music, for me..." he drew in a breath and let it out. "It's like breath and light, and ... blood." He looked back at her. "It's necessary. And I have to let it out."
Terri x Kurai: "Wanted to make your own shadows hm?" She asked, looking over at him, but nodded with his other words. "That's more or less what they taught me... or at least tried to. I honestly preferred to listen to the music than be part of it. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed pounding out a rhythm, but it was..." Oh how to explain... " ...more of a coping mechanism and a hobby than something I wanted to share." Her talent was discovered by accident, the first drummer of the band had left her instrument unattended while Terri was helping get the equipment on the stage.
Alex Vipond: "Nothing wrong with that. And to be honest, not all drummers are stage bound. I know a few that simply do recording work on albums. Which actually helps out when a band isn't touring, as sometimes you need to pick someone up. Or do record it all yourself, one instrument at a time, and then layer it all in, after the fact which... is cool, don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but I prefer not having to do it all myself."
Terri x Kurai: "I wish that had been the case. I would have enjoyed the experience better in a recording studio than the stage." She replied, looking back to the water again before Iron Butterfly cut through the silence coming from the phone in her pocket. "Sorry..." She muttered, pulling out her phone and looking at the text received. She tapped one back before pocketing it and looking over at him. "So how long are you in town?"
Alex Vipond: "No problem, I know how it is." Alex nodded, then when she asked about being in town, he replied, "Until the end of the month, then gone for a couple of weeks before the tour is finally put to bed. London, Paris, two dates in Rio, and then Mexico City. Once we get home, it's back in the studio to record." He shifted in his lean, his eyes sweeping over the dwindling crowd.
Terri x Kurai: "Ugh... I don't miss those days. Granted it was great seeing the sights, but in the end I preferred being home." Despite the creepy lurking fans outside the gates on a daily basis. Noticing the crowd dwindling as well, she stood up from the bench and stretched her arms above her head then lowered them. "Feel up for a drink? On the house even." She had to head into the club anyway, seemed someone wanted extra attention in the tattoo parlor... bah.
Alex Vipond: "Trips like this, there aren't many sights to see. It's airport, hotel, venue for sound check, radio spot, venue for show, hotel, airport.... Wash, rinse, repeat. We get to see views out of the windows of the tour bus occasionally when we have the time to travel between cities by bus. But then the bus isn't all that great either. After a few days, it starts to smell like a gym locker, only worse, and trying to sleep is a joke when you get thrown to the floor at least once between each city due to a sudden stop..." He paused when she rose and asked about a drink, trying to discern what kind of drink she was talking about, and then he nodded. "Sure." Rising, he moved to fall into step with her to the parking lot. "I'll follow you."
Terri x Kurai: "Ohhh one of those kind of trips. I suggest that you install seatbelts on those beds..." Joking of course about the seat belts. When he decided to follow, she offered what could be best described as a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, I'm not a biter." Wink given before walking into the parking lot and... now to remember where she parked. "Do you have a favorite city to tour in?"
Alex Vipond: "Oh, I'm not worried about anyone biting me, I'm worried about my car still being here when I get back." Alex smirked as he pulled his keys and hit the remote, unlocking that murdered out Benz. "I'd be lucky to have a frame left come tomorrow. As for a favorite city, I would pretty much have to say Rio or Sao Paulo. The fans there just have so much energy, and they're always very supportive, even after an almost ten year musical exile, they never forgot. Of course, Brazil can be... a bit intense."
Terri x Kurai: Terri looked over at the Benz when he hit the remote, raising a brow. "Nice ride..." She said before heading over to a black 1960s Mustang with flaming paint job in the front and along the sides. "Ever been to Amsterdam yet?" She asked with a mischievous grin.
Alex Vipond: Letting out a low whistle when he saw her ride, Alex paused as she posed her question, one arm resting on the open door of the Benz, the other on the roof of the car. "God, not since...." he paused, thinking back, then nodded. "Yeah, not since the Eighty Years War."
Terri x Kurai: "Ah... I suggest avoiding the red lights should you go back, unless you're into that sort of thing." She didn't think he was, but since he hadn't been there for so long... wait... Eighty Years War...? She hadn't even opened her door yet before turning around to look at him with an inquisitive tilt of her head. "Just how old are you?" Terri asked, Elvis and the Beatles were one thing, but a war from the fifteen hundreds?
Alex Vipond: "The red lights? Generally I don't drive when I'm out and about. Unless we're out playing on scooters, that's always fun." When she asked how old he was, he chuckled. "I'm about middle of the road, I would imagine. Old enough to be eld, not old enough to be ancient." No that was Alea's territory. Bitch.
Terri x Kurai: "Google the red lights in Amsterdam." She replied with a chuckle before turning around and unlocking her car and sliding in. Starting her up, Terri would shift into reverse and gradually ease the car out of the spot - slow going so she wouldn't leave him behind or anything.
Alex Vipond: Pulling his phone, he started to Google it, but Terri was moving and he slid into the car, his phone tossed into console as he started the car up and backed out of the space, turning to follow her.

Alex Vipond: Alex was definitely appreciating the weather, since it was sunny and a nice seventy two degrees, being near the water made things a little cooler, so it was definitely hoodie weather. With Meghan's hand his, Alex wandered along the boardwalk as the gulls circled and dove into the water. "I think we'll skip touring next year, what do you think?" He was tired, and it wasn't over just yet, but there were only five more shows, two of which were in Rio, so it would be easier. He loved playing for his fans, but the schedule had been more than a bit ... enthusiastic. Grueling was more accurate. The next tour would not be so long, or as tight.
Make Me MentaI: Walking hand in hand with him, blues gazed out over the scenery here and there. It was nice to get out and take a stroll. And while the weather was cooler, she was still wearing blue jeans shorts, but had a pair of thin black leggings under them. She brought out the black boots since they were loose and comfortable, unlike heels, sandals, or sneakers. She had on a white top and a black pleather jacket with the sleeves pushed up. Her hair down and she'd gone back to adding in the streaks of red. "Really?" She asked looking to him. "If that's what you want to do, then you know I'll back you up on it. But I have to admit, it'll be great not having to rush off somewhere every day."
Alex Vipond: "And that, right there is the biggest part of it. Not having to rush off, not constantly being on the move. I mean it's great for a month, but we've been at it for the better part of the year and it's.... exhausting." He smiled at her. "The defining moment was when I fell asleep brushing my teeth and dropped my tooth brush into the toilet." And no, he didn't fish it out without one of those tools that grab things. Once he'd fished it out of the bus toilet, he dropped it straight into the trash. "I never thought I could be so damned tired. The tour we did the year before wasn't anywhere near as grueling. I think from now on, we'll leave no less than a week between venues, unless they're in the same city. It will cut back on the number of shows, but it will save our sanity."
Make Me MentaI: Fingers laced with his and playful squeezes were given here and thre as they walked along. "Yeah, it'snot so bad in the beginning but then about half way through, you're so ready for the damn end ... And I agree. The last tour wasn't nearly as demanding and as exhausting. When he told her what the defining moment was, she couldn't help but laugh a little. She hadn't known that had happened. She must have been passed out somewhere. "Yeah, and the words Alex and tired aren't supposed to make it in to the same sentence. His weekly suggested schedule was something she felt she could maybe better handle. "That sounds much more manageable."
Alex Vipond: "Much and it would give us time to actually visit the places we go. I've been more places in this last year than I've been in the last ten, or more..." More: Definitely more. "And yet, I've seen less than I have in like... ever," only because he felt the need to exaggerate, if only slightly. "At this point, I'm really, really looking forward to some studio work."
Make Me MentaI: "And more time together." she added. "Doing things together besides running and sleeping that is." she chuckled. It seemed everytime they turned around, they were running for a bus or running for a plane, or running to avoid mobs. If it wasn't that? It was sleeping. On the bus, on the plane, in the dressing rooms... "I think studio time would be great."
Alex Vipond: "That is a definite plus." he smiled and swung her around until his arm was around her, draped over her shoulder as they walked side by side, their hands still joined. "I mean I knew it would be tight, which was why I wanted that whole month for us, before we left, but knowing it and having it hit you between the eyes..." he looked at her and chuckled. "Two entirely different things."
Make Me MentaI: She nodded and grinned before she was swung about and back at his side with his arm over her shoulders. "Yeah... guess you're losing your stamina..." she teased, cutting her eyes to him, smirking and then looking back to the path they took. She couldn't let him get away with some sort of silly jab.
Alex Vipond: Laughing, he nodded. "I just feel bad, subjecting you to all that rank bus smell, and not being able to get as loud as we would like. I mean, don't get me wrong, covert sex can be fun, but all the time, with no room to expand, no chandeliers to swing from..." he was just waiting for the elbow and smirking as he tensed for it.
Make Me MentaI: "You sure that was the reason for the covert sex? Not because you were... you know... lacking?" she grinned but yes, he did end up getting an elbow. "Since when did we swing from chandeliers? You sure you're not confusing me with someone else?" she chuckled.
Alex Vipond: "That's just it; we couldn't if we wanted to. For one: a lack of chandelier. Not too many of those on buses. And too, the guys would be watching and really, that's not something we want." Alex smirked, "I'd feel like I was being critiqued."
Make Me MentaI: "I know, I was teasing!" she said with a playful shove with the elbow. "That is an idea though. Hey.. could get two buses. One for the guys and the equipment...and one for just us..." she replied. "Even put a chandelier in it." she flashed him a grin.
Alex Vipond: Laughing, he contemplated that. "There all are these basketball players with these multimillion dollar buses..." He paused, contemplating, then continued. "Would cut back on the need for a hotel, at least domestically and it would cut out all domestic air far. We'd have to house the band and the crew, but they're easy..."
Make Me MentaI: "I mean, you have a fucking plane... there's no reason why you ror the band can't have two buses..." she said as she half turned under his arm and poked him in the chest with a single digit, playfully. "And see? There you go... cutting back the costs on other expenses. What would you do without me and my brilliant ideas?" she chuckled.
Alex Vipond: "Well, yeah but the plane is really owned by LFE. I get the perks of using it, because I own LFE..." So it was his, in a sense, but it was also something that was used most often by the corporation. He smiled at her when she mentioned her and her brilliant ideas, and dropped a kiss to her lips. "I'd be completely lost."
Make Me MentaI: "Yeah, true, but still." she replied, smile followed. "And just think... even if one of the buses break down... the other can continue on the road while the others either fly. It's still cutting cost because you're not having to switch over as many people or as much luggage." she shrugged. When he said he'd be lost, she paused, turned to him and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him firmly. "So would i, without you."
Alex Vipond: Alex slid his arms around her, holding her close, the kiss returned. Leaning back, arms still around her, he smiled. "Or worse, comes to worst, the band can ride with us and we can get a U-Haul for the equipment until the bus is fixed. Just leave one of the roadies behind to deal with the repairs and drive it to the next venue."
Make Me MentaI: "There's that too. Just means no swinging from the chandeliers..." she grinned. Her body flush with his creating that intimate closeness, not sexual. Not completely. "Means we'll have to hire a new driver." she pointed out. "And if we look into things now, let you customize it how you want it, it would be done by the next time you get ready to tour. There'd be no need to rush it."
Alex Vipond: "And..." he lifted his brow as he regarded her, and repeated the word, "And, if we get a couple of scooters, they'd fit right in the bay with the rest of the gear." yes, he was already scheming. "That's what we can do next year. We'll shop the bus now, spend next summer traveling, just for fun, get the bus broke in, see how Gus and the cats deal with travel to know just whether or not it's feasible to take them with us when we go anywhere. We can do a couple short trips, like up to the mountains or maybe down to California. Spend some time in Big Sur, or maybe even Tahoe."
Make Me MentaI: Meghan was getting a bit excited. Sure, going to hotels with all sorts of extra accommodations were nice, but with a bus, it would be their home away from home. They could get what they wanted, when they wanted and not really have to depend on anyone or wait on anyone. Not that she didn't appreciate the help from hotel staff, but.. well... this just seemed a better idea to do if they toured the states again soon. It would allow them some real privacy. "Yeah, I like how that sounds. A lot." she replied. She squeezed him tight in her hug.
Alex Vipond: Alex liked the sound of it too and he already had ideas for the bus in mind. Hell they could just become gypsies part of the year and roam around, seeing the country. He cracked up as he hugged her. "I know it's stupid, but I wanna go look at buses now."
Make Me MentaI: Meghan kept her arms wrapped around him and she could see the wheels turning in that head of his, already. A big huge smirk creased her ruby red lips and when he said he wanted to go and look at buses now, she laughed. "Already?"
DoIl Fangs: She wandered hand in hand with Jack, and she was sort of stomping or emphasizing every third step. Why? Well, in addition to her dainty little lilac dress, thick white tights and delicate lilac sweater, she had on big ugly puffy boots. You know the kind. Uggs. In a hurry for Autumn so she was rushing it with her footwear.
Alex Vipond: "Well, you know how it is. Once I get an idea in my head..." he chuckled, and then paused. "And we need a trailer to tow behind it." he nodded. "Mobile studio...." he said that in a hushed way, drawing it out and then cracked up. That way we don't have to sacrifice living space for working space." he nodded. "I'm digging this." he glanced over spotting Little Bit in her Uggs. "And there she is."
Make Me MentaI: She relaxed against him and nodded with a chuckle. "I already knew that, but it's still funny every time I see that... look in your eye." she replied. "Trailer? Mobile studio?" She then cracked up with him. "Oh lawd, you really are taking off with this idea." She nodded as his next remark make complete sense. "This is true." she replied and then when she saw the direction ofhis gaze shift from her to elsewhere, along with those few words, Meghan's own gaze followed as she lingered wrapped around him. A smile given to as what Alex liked to call her, Little Bit.
DoIl Fangs: Her ugly Uggs, of course, were purple, to better match her dress, and the lilac headband in her hair. She looked, really, like any other schoolgirl. She just happened to be malicious. She didn't dare break free from Jack and run over to them, though she did playfully tug the Biker along with excitement. Alex didn't get a whole lot of peace when she was in town. Incoming. She bumped into their huddle-hug and tried her best to stretch skinny arms around them both. Didn't really work. "Hi Miss Meg! Alex!" Oh. She got off them. For now.
Alex Vipond: Alex leaned, arm going around Little Bit, and giving her a squeeze. "Hey!" He smiled at her and let her go as she stepped back. "And how have you been?" Alex looked at Jack and gave the man a nod up. "How's it going?" The man definitely had his hands full with little miss thing.
Make Me MentaI: When she came up to them and wrapped her arms around them, Meg was returning the arm wrapping and the little squeeze. "Hi there!" she greeted. Once released, she to let go and Meghan gave a glance to Jack, followed by a smile and a nod of greeting. Attention turned back to their little friend. "How are you today and what has you out and about?"
DoIl Fangs: Jack, while mostly quiet, did up-nod and murmur pleasantries. Apple smile at the squishing-squeezing, she stepped back and tucked her hand back to Jack's. Behaving. "I good. We go to the New York City because Ctepah's girlfriend have to go to something called Fashion Week. Because she has how you say, blog. I have tacky t-shirts and key chains for you both at home. I ask Ctepah what to get you and Eithne and he say everyone need tacky NYC keychain." And t-shirts too apparently. She bobbed her head. "How is Miss Meghan and Alex?"
Alex Vipond: Alex nodded. "It's a given. Gotta collect one from each place you go." Smiling, he looked at Meghan and then back to Nadia. "We were just discussing a new bus; a tour bus / home away from home, with room in the bays for a couple of scooters." Or maybe he'd just have one of those slide outs put in, and tuck his Tesla in underneath. Forgive him folks, if his eyes glaze over just a bit.
Make Me MentaI: Meghan remained tucked in at Alex's side, her arm now around his skinny lil waist as she listened to Nadia. "Always have to have a souvenir from the places you visit." she replied, nodding. "And thank you. I like tacky things at times." she grinned. Meghan had her own lil sense of... taste. "I'm doing very well Nadia, thank you for asking and yes, just as Alex has said, we're discussing buses. " she chuckled.
DoIl Fangs: She was so eager to get their (awful) gifts delivered to them, she tugged on Jack's hand as if he could make it happen right this instant. A bus. Now that was a very good idea. You could kill someone, drain them and then roll on before authorities even knew of the crime. But she knew not to voice it. Behaving. "Tour bus sound very neat. You can get --how you say-- Wi-Fi connection in it?" Not sure why she asked that, but she did, like it was important.
Alex Vipond: "Yes." He nodded. "And five thousand, eight hundred and thirty seven channels of TV… and nothing on." he chuckled, grinning at her. "When we get it all picked out, and the trailer to tag along behind it, we'll give you guys a tour. How's that sound?"
DoIl Fangs: "Yes!" She bobbed her head eagerly, because she knew they'd have a decked out awesome bus and she had to see it for herself. "Will be on it while on tour or for vacation too?" Still hand in hand with Jack, she lazily swung their hands, head lowering back with rotten giggles because of the TV comment. "I like Golden Girls and I like this Brady Bunch. And I like home shopping channel. I watch when they have jewelry on. And sometimes I call and order." No really, she did. But in general, there was nothing on, ever, even with a million channels.
Alex Vipond: "Both. Anything in the US, we'll be on the bus for. I've decided no more hectic schedules once this tour is over. One city, per week, two at the most, and plenty of time in between shows to rest and actually see things." Because he would like to be able to say he'd actually seen the places he'd been.
Make Me MentaI: Meghan listened as the pair of them talked and when it came to all the doodads and gidgets and bells and whistles, Meghan had a pretty good idea that Alex would get them all. "Both, likehe said. We're probably going to order it, have it custom made... unless of course he sees one he wants right then and there. Then we'll use it for a vacation bus first. Test it out. And then use it for his next tour." She nodded with Alex's comment. "Yes, one city a week." Her phone buzzed and she excused herself with apologies.
DoIl Fangs: She was grinning, listening to the two, apple cheeks lifted, big eyes gobbling up one then the other. Then she grinned up at Jack, it sounded like a very bad ass ride and she could not wait to see it. "Have a big bed on it somewhere for Gus too?" No idea why she suddenly remembered the dog and had his back but apparently having a huge dog bed was crucial. Or... a mattress? That dog was h u g e .
Alex Vipond: Gus did in fact have his own room at home. And his own bed. It had taken some time, but Alex finally had managed to get his own room, and bed, back to himself, because face it, sleeping on the floor after being shoved out of bed by a dog, when you sleep in a huge assed bed, wasn't fun. So yeah. Gus had his own room and would on the bus as well. "That's the idea. A bed for Gus, all to himself."
DoIl Fangs: "Can't wait to see. Now you can how you say, stop and smell roses and maybe not be so hectic from show to show." Between a bus and a limit of shows per week, Alex and Meghan might be able to enjoy themselves, more time to buy tacky key chains and such!
Alex Vipond: Exactly. Because if there was one thing the world needed was more tacky key chains. And shot glasses. And those freaky assed scorpions encased in their resin 'globes' looking mean and vicious. "We’ll be looking around the next week or so and if we don't find anything before we head to London, we'll look some more when we get back. Maybe even have it custom done."
DoIl Fangs: Ha, ha, those awful scorpion things! Yes! She peeked up to Jack. They had to go soon for a little while but they'd be at the diner shortly, or wherever Alex and Meghan were, and hopefully Eithne. She hadn't seen the skinny wolf woman this trip and it bugged her! "When are you going to London?" She loved London. Saw London when she went to see Alex play there! Plus she got to see the Tower of London and other stuff. But the highlight was going to a rock concert!
Alex Vipond: Maybe Alex could get a hold of Styx then too and Little Bit, and Turbo Cute Stuff could compare fashion notes. Styx was, if nothing else, colorful. "End of the month, we're leaving on the ... Twenty fifth, I think, give us time to get there, and get settled, and then the show is on the twenty seventh. We have Paris after that, I think on the twenty ninth, and then two slots in Rio, the thirtieth and the first. Our last show is in Mexico City on... the third, I think." He had to think about that one, eyes shifting upward as he tried to remember, before continuing. "Then we are home. Home, home, home."
DoIl Fangs: And all she heard was this: "Paris! I want to go to City of Lights." She tugged on Jack's hand, peeking up to him. She knew Ctepah would likely be busy but since she'd been so good, maybe Ctepah would let her and Jack go on a field trip to Paris! P A R I S ! "We talk about this to Ctepah. We need to go get unpacked but be back diner or something later if you and Miss Meg are around. Had to just come say hi."
Alex Vipond: "We will be there." He nodded. "Please send my regards to Ctepah!" he smiled, unable to not smile at her. She was just so damned cute and ... lethal. A contradiction in terms to be certain, but it somehow made her all the more cute.

Make Me MentaI: Meghan saw Nadia's departure and even gave a wave and sad little smile when she moved off to leave. She finished up her conversation with Charlie and then came back and as she tucked her phone away, looked to Alex. "I forget how.... dangerous she is even though she is so cute and sweet looking."
Alex Vipond: "Yes." Alex nodded. "I pray I never find myself in the unenviable position of having to decide to let a child go, or turn them." He looked back at Meghan and slid his hand into hers. "So, she and Jack will be at the diner later. We may be able to catch them. Is there anything else you want to see while we're here?" They'd hit the shops, mostly, but there were some they'd not been to in a while.
Make Me MentaI: "I second that." she replied. "Well... the letting go part that is. I can't really turn one..." she smirked. "But I could practice for maybe if and when that day should come?" meaning biting him. And she was only half serious about if and when that day came. She'd remain human as long as she could, but if something happened where her life was hanging in the balance, well, she'd want Alex to bite her and turn her so she could go on living, with him. And he wouldn't have to lose her. Meghan's fingers laced with his and when he asked if there was anything else she wanted to see, she gave a shrug of shoulders. "Not particularly. Just glad we're getting some time together."
Alex Vipond: Alex smiled, and gave her hand a squeeze. "There's a lot that I could teach you in the meantime." As they continued walking, he didn't much pay any mind to where they went, just followed the board walk until they couldn't go any further and then turned and headed back the other way. "You know, there's like this big huge ball of string, somewhere in ... I think the Midwest, and a great big huge cast iron skillet, they're like local landmarks or something. We should map out a trip for next year, in the summer, where we see one land per each state. Manmade or natural doesn't much make any difference; it just has to be some sort of tourist attraction. And we'll do it in the bus."
Make Me MentaI: "I'd be quite alright with that." she replied with a smile. Like him, she wasn't paying much mind to anyone else or anything else, just the man at her side. "Tacky and incredible landmarks. I love it! Could maybe make like a scrap-book of our trips and the tourist attractions we visit. So I really like this idea." she replied, nodding a few times. "Like Yellowstone park. I know they have those big huge redwood trees, right? And that geyser? Old faithful? It'd would be so much fun."
Alex Vipond: "Oh, yeah." He nodded, and grinned and nodded to her suggestions. "Maybe do some acoustic covers; sing out into the Grand Canyon or some shit to see how it goes." Smiling, he slid his arm around her again, fingers still laced. "That would be awesome. In the Redwood National Forrest in California they have a tree that had fallen over the road, and rather than cut it up, they dug a tunnel through it. I would love to see that."
Make Me MentaI: "That could be fun." she replied and as his arm wrapped around her, she tucked herself more into him. "You know I think I remember reading something about that and thought to myself, how cool is that. I think it'd be awesome."
Alex Vipond: "We'll do a whole video blog kind of thing of our trip." he smiled. "This is Meghan, stalking the ever elusive, 'smore...." he chuckled, and kissed her temple. "It'll be yuppie camping to the nth degree."
Make Me MentaI: She chuckled and nodded and maybe even did a little skip in her step while tucked under his arm. She was all too excited about this idea of theirs. It all sounded great. "And maybe Gus and the cats can come. Just... if the cats go outside, should probably put them on a leash... They have those, you know. Cat leashes. Not sure how any of them will take to it but if they want to venture outside the bus... it's necessary."
Alex Vipond: "They'll take it or they'll stay inside." He nodded. He wasn't losing his kitties to some bear or coyote because they wandered off, or because they flat out got lost. They would be bad, bad parents if they let that happen. Gus on the other hand could deal and he was well versed in outside and when to come when called.
Make Me MentaI: "Should probably get different colored leashes for each kitty. Ooo! Maybe start practicing collars with them now and then gradually the leashes and then by the time we get ready to take our first trip out, hopefully, they'll be used to it because yes... I am not about to have some owl or hawk come swooping down and grabbing up my fur babies."
Alex Vipond: "Harnesses." Alex nodded. "They'll slip a leashed collar. A harness they can't get out of without thumbs." Alex kissed her temple as they walked when she went all mama kitty over the fur babies. "We've got like ten months to get them used to it. We'll start in the yard, and then get them used to being in the car for something other than the vet...." Big one there, because really that was about the only time they'd been in the car and that was always a little freaky for them. "So well get them used to the leashes and used to the car and once we have the bus, we can get them used to getting into and out of it with a leash on."
Make Me MentaI: "Yeah, harnesses are probably better, so you're right." She nodded in agreement. "I think ten months will be good. Spend about two months with each thing. And yeah, I think Gus will be fine. I don't think he'll need any training or anything." She paused a moment. "Maybe last two months can be for the bus itself. You know? Take them inside let them sniff around and get used to it. Then once we think they are comfortable, take them inside and have the bus running, with the engine and all."
Alex Vipond: "We'll just have to teach him that our bed is not his. That will be the biggest deal with him." He nodded. "Yeah, they just need to be introduced to it and know that it's not going to eat them if they don't crawl under it, and that it's okay to be in it when it's moving. I think short trips, like to Walmart or some shit, take them with us. Too, we'll have to have generator running. And solar panels. We can put solar panels on the roof so we don't have to run the generator except maybe at night." If then, depending on how much they drained the batteries.
Make Me MentaI: "Yeah, well, I think he knows my don't do it tone by now. And he knows when I'm not playing. So maybe I'll use it more when he's on our bed. At home or on the bus." she replied. Meghan nodded in agreement once more about the kitties. "Yeah, start out in their crates. Then graduate to just a leash and harness because I am not driving with them loose." Meghan nodded once more. "Should probably get them use to that too. The generator that is. And I like the idea of solar panels."
Alex Vipond: "Yep. Don't want the noise of it freaking them out." As they continued to walk, Alex glanced around, then back at her. "Yeah, no, can't have a loose cat running about when you're rolling down the highway, they could get under foot and then you're fucked."
Make Me MentaI: "No, we don't need them freaking out over the noise." She gave a shake ofher head. "It's why they either need to be buckled in to like a pet car seat or in a cat crate." Yeah, Meghan really couldn't see how people let their dogs or whatever, just roam about freely in the vehicles. If it was a single cab truck, okay, but anything else? Yeah, no.
Alex Vipond: "No freaking out animals all over the bus. Nope. We can crate the cats or lock them in the bathroom while we're rolling. Either or. We'll try different methods until we hit the right one." He nodded. "So, ready to head to the diner?" Make Me MentaI: "Yeah can't have them running about free in the bus either, not while in motion." she agreed. I think the best thing would be, maybe the crates. At least to start with. If one of us has to use the bathroom, they may get out." When he asked about the diner, she nodded. "sure." and a big smile followed.
Alex Vipond: Alex looked at her a long moment, then smiled and nodded. "Diner it is." he led her out to the lot and unlocked the car as they headed for it, and moved to her side, opening the car door for Meghan as he got there. "What are you in the mood for?"
Make Me MentaI: Meghan moved right alongside with him and got into the car once the door was opened for her. "Hmmm... well, that depends. Do you mean food wise or..." and she flashed him a grin before she winked and slipped into the car. "Because I don't know if the diner can give me what I might ask for..."
Alex Vipond: Alex smirked, "We'll save dessert for after dinner." he kissed her, his hand cupping her face, and then once she was settled in, he closed the door and moved around the car to the driver's side, then slid behind the wheel.
Make Me MentaI: "Good. I've got to have my dessert you know." She kissed him back and then nuzzled a little into the cupping before he was closing the door and moving around to slide in behind the driver seat. Her hand went to rest on his thigh. "Pot pie sounds good."
Alex Vipond: "Pot pie it is." Starting the car, he pulled away from the waterfront and headed for the diner. As Meghan's hand rested on his thigh, his moved to hers, “What kind of pot pie?" He had to admit, it sounded good. Good enough that his mouth actually watered. It was a strange sensation.
