MurderOfMuses: “ You're number. " He said looking at her. " Think I might need it if we're ever gonna set up a second impression ya know " He said with a slight smirk.-d-
impeccabIe fIaw: <> Smarty pants aye? She could see he had a great demeanor and attitude about things but was amiss on his sarcasm. But hey, she'd only just met the Bubba. Brows furrowed, as she pressed her smalls hands to his broad chest and shoved at him. He'd barely move at all, as the petite thing had inferior strength to his. "Ass! And here I thought ya were giving me that oh helllll no she dit'nt attitude." That phone that had started this all was again pulled from the confines her of her pocket, this time with much less haste. "Digits?" Thumb pressed whatever numbers he'd tell her, honestly or not, into the pad. Once done, she clicked send and whatever numbers he gave her soon received hers. "Ya have a missed call, Oz. Those would be my digits. Don't lose them or else. I have my ways. Remember I'm 5-O" she'd giggle and offer him a smirk. "Don't drink too much punk. I don't want a drunk dial from ya asking for a ride!" <>
Styx McKenzi: Styx pulled into the lot and slid out of the car that had seen better days. The paint was in need of ... okay so the rust needed to be removed before it could be painted, and the quarter panel needed to be patched, but it was in good running order. She'd started to refurbish the '68 Cougar, but time and money had run kind of thin. She headed into the bar, looking to unwind. One would think a bar would be the last place she'd go to unwind, but she wasn't going to be behind the bar of this one. She paused once inside and looked around, taking stock of the place before heading for the bar.
MurderOfMuses: Chest was slapped and he looked at her as she almost bounced off him more so then he moved from her push. Reaching for his back pocket as his phone rang and song Jump Around but , Everlast. You know, only one member of House of Pain redoing the song more acoustic. Cause it's awesome. Looking at his phone he tapped a few buttons. Saving her name and the number. " Alright Stacy. Promise you'll be hearing from me. Have to hang out with you and maybe this roomie you talk of . " He said with a smirk. " And is that .. 5 and O.. or.. you know. You're five foot flat ? " He said teasing. " Nice meeting you. I'll shoot you a text later. Maybe see what's happening this weekend " She left him and his phone was put away. Taking the Guiness Black he finished off the glass, ordering a second before he moved for the pool table once more. Cue stick was taken as refilled glass sat on bar stool near the table. Looking at the table eyes looked up to see the new short stuff come in, before eyes settled back to his solo game –d
Styx McKenzi: Styx watched the woman walk out as she leaned against the bar, a shot Tuica ordered, if they had it, vodka if not, and a beer back ordered. One hand dug into her jacket pocket to pull out her cash and she handed over just enough to cover the booze and leave the tender a buck tip. She looked at the guy moving back to the pool table and watched him as the tender set her order down.
MurderOfMuses: He raised the stick and moved to line up a a shot. Cue ball hit it would go spinning across the green felt table smashing into the red ball and watching it sink in the corner pocket before he stood up . Rounding the table he'd now stand with the table directly between them. Brilliant blues studied and mapped a course before they looked up at her. He'd flash her a smile, reaching for his drink to lift up to her. A silent cheers. Taking a sip and setting the glass back on the stool as he eyed the room, then lined up his shot -d-
Styx McKenzi: She lifted her shot in return, a slight nod given and then she knocked it back. Setting the glass down, she motioned for another before reaching for her beer. She took a sip and watched as he readied for his shot, her own eyes taking the lay in, checking the angles in her head from where she was.
MurderOfMuses: So many many ways he could do this. Simple , qucik clean shots. Run the table and sink one after the other. He could be cocky. Close his eyes. Then he could even do some crazy trick shots at that. Fun as those were , he decided to play a different route. Scratch? Oh not just any scratch. Quick, angled, shot taken and that white cue ball popped right off the table and rolled her way if not coming right for her. " Look out ! " He said. Moving over now towards her to get the ball either at her feet or from had she caught it. He offered a little smile. " Sorry about that.. guess something caught my eye. Distracted me a bit, I think " He said -d-
Styx McKenzi: When her next shot arrived, she knocked it back, motioned for the bottle, and started to pick up her beer when the cue ball popped off the table. It was reflex. Her hand shifted direction and caught the ball. She smirked, offering him the ball. "Gotta watch it. You could hurt yourself like that." Once she was relieved of the ball, she'd take up her beer, her now empty shot glass, and the bottle of tuica.
MurderOfMuses: " What ? Of being distracted by things that catch my eye ? " He said with a little smirk. " Don't really see me hurting myself with the cue ball " He said teasing. Noting the multiple drinks already. " Someone need to do a bit of unwinding tonight ? " Has asked, nodding at her drinks -d-
Styx McKenzi: "Oh yeah." She nodded, then dragged a strand of color streaked hair back from her face. She then stepped around him, a pat with her free hand given his chest as she moved toward the pool table. She set her beer and the tuica down, taking a moment to refill her shot glass, though she didn't pick it up just yet. Instead she moved to the wall and started checking out sticks. "If you're done playing by yourself, I'll rack 'em."
MurderOfMuses: He moved to grab his drink up and stand over to the side. Eyes watching her with a grin growing across his face. " Very much so. Always more fun to play with someone else " Glass raised to those lips and he would take a drink. Waiting for her to rack up new game. " Play much ? " he asked as she sized up sticks -d-
Styx McKenzi: She found a stick she liked the weight of, and then laid it on the table, rolling it side to side to see how bent it was. Amazingly enough, there was barely any curve to it at all. She leaned the stick against the side of the table, and dropped a couple of quarters in the slot, before pushing the slide in. She smiled as he asked. "Every now and then." She moved to the end of the table, and pulled the balls, gathering them all up and dropping them into the rack. Once she had them arranged to her liking, she slid the rack along the table, getting them set and tightened up, before she pulled the rack out from around them. She moved back, picked up her stick, chalked it and her hands, and then motioned for him to break. It was his table after all.
MurderOfMuses: Glass tipped, and liquid poured into his lips as he drank more of that dark lagger. Setting it down on the the stool as she racked up. Once she had pulled the rack off she was offering him not the honors of breaking. He only stepped back from the table. Hands up " No no.. ladies first .I insist. " He said looking over at her. " I am a gentleman after all " -d-
Styx McKenzi: "You sure?" She smiled and then dragged the cue ball down to the other end of the table. Once she had it set in place, she leaned over the table, closing the distance between her chin and the stick to the mere span of a hand or two.
MurderOfMuses: " Of course " Cause what guy wouldn't care to let a woman bend over a table after all. " Ladies first . " He said as he let eyes travel over her , down that stick, and watched her line up her opening shot. Waiting to see how she did " Don't scratch like I did " he teased -d-
Styx McKenzi: She looked back at him and smiled, then looked down the table her gaze shifted from the end of the stick, to the cue ball, to the one ball sitting there so very inviting at the other end of the table. She drew the stick back, keeping it in close, elbow hinged as she put some power behind the stroke. She smirked as the balls scattered across the table, and both the seven and the thirteen went down. She drew in a breath as she straightened and eyed the table, looking to see which had the next lay, stripes or solids.
MurderOfMuses: Seeing her smile only made him smile just a little as he watched that poweful thrust. Two sunk and he grinned. " Every now and then eh ? " Teasing her as he stpped over to the side. " I'll take.. solids. " he gave a nod of his head. Standing back to make sure he wasn't in her way in case she needed to line up another shot next to him -d-
Styx McKenzi: "Now and then." She smiled as she moved around the table, then leaned over the table again, gaze sliding from one point to the next along the needed trajectory to gain the desired result. "Ten in the corner." She gestured with an up nod of her head to the desired pocket and then she was once more sighting down the table. An easy, smooth stroke was given, striking the cue ball a little low to give it just the right amount of spin as it struck the ten and drove it toward the corner. The cue spun back toward her, lining up pretty good on the nine. She straightened and moved to pick up her shot, knocking it back, before refilling the glass. Once she set the bottle down, she lifted her beer and took a drink as she looked over at him. Setting the bottle down, she shrugged. "I was born and raised in St Louis." She said as she moved back toward the table.
MurderOfMuses: Grinning as she sank a few more. Stanind back, enjoying his drink. Watching her own the table.Couldn't help but enjoy watching it. Then she mentioned St Louis. " Yeah ? So-Cal myself . " Nod of his head as she was coming back to the table to assess her next shot. " Nice to see someone who can handle a table " He said watching it. Linning up the shots in his head like a game of chess . -d-
Styx McKenzi: Leaning over the table once more, she dropped the nine in the side, then lined up the twelve, a nod given to the far right corner. Once the ball dropped, she laid up on the fourteen, then back off of it. She stepped back and took another look, then eyed the eleven. She shifted, leaning a bit further over the side of the table as she took a shot at the eleven, to cut it back off the bank into the corner. She rose swiftly to keep out of the way as the ball rolled back, and then watched as the eleven dropped... and the cue followed it. "Damn."
MurderOfMuses: " Oh thanks. " He said with a smile over at her. " So much easier when you get all of them out of the way like that for me ? " He came over to line up a few shots. Sinking the two and four easily enough with nothing to obstruct it's path. She played a good game so he decided no reason to hold back, The eight ball stood between his cue ball and the 3. All 3 against an edge. He angled the stick just right with a good forceful downward pop . Spinng the cue around the eight ball and tapping to the side of the 3 ball to make it roll along the wall and fall in the pocket He'd go for the number one ball but it hit the corner keeping it from sinking. " Close " was all he said before l looking his way back over to her " Guess it's your turn again " -d-
Styx McKenzi: Chuckling, she moved back to down another shot of tuica before she leaned her ass on a bar stool, butt of the pool stick planted between her boots as she reached for her beer. Taking a drink, she watched him as he started dropping balls. In the pockets this time. Her lips curved up as he spun the cue around the eight to send his own into the pocket without touching it. "Oooh, damn." She'd wonder about that one. It wasn't a guppy shot, but after the job he'd done on the three, it was suprising he'd missed. She took one last drink of her beer before setting it down, then moved back to the table, taking the time to chalk her stick, then run her hand over the chalk block. He'd not done her any favors with leaves, and she crouched down to get eye level with the table, eyes skimming over the possibilities. She nodded to herself and rose, then tapped the cue on the banks she would take to sink the "Fourteen in the side." She was then leaning over the table, a fairly moderate strike given the cue, which sent the fourteen bouncing off the rails and into the side.
MurderOfMuses: He watched her sink her next to last ball, other than the infamous 8. He finished off his glass , downing the Guiness Black. Eyes watching her and her movements. The way she read the table, eyed the angles. She wasn't shabby in any sense of the word. " Almost game there darlin. " He said . Stepping back he'd wait for her to take her possibly next to final shot. " Glad I didn't put money down. Got me a ringer . " He said teasing her as she currently had the upper hand of the game. " Hate to have lost all my cash tonight " He said with a little laugh -d-
Styx McKenzi: She smirked at his words as she lined up on the fifteen, indicated the corner, and then gave a clean, crisp send off. The cue rolled back after striking the rail and had an almost perfect lie for the eight. "Well, I started playing when I was a kid, They thought it was cute that I could barely see over the rails." She paused debating as she regarded the eight. She could go one of two ways. Corner or side, or... well she could go for a long bank and have a cleaner shot, but she tended to hose those. "Corner." She indicated which one, and then cut it fine, a little too fine, as the eight hit the rail and bounced back, rolling back to the middle of the table. She shook her head and stepped back, moving to pour herself another shot.
MurderOfMuses: "Tsk tsk " He said as he looked at the table. Moving to the table. " Do you want mercy.. or.. should i have some fun ? " he said asking as he moved around the table. Getting a shot lined up. Looking at her with a wicked little grin as was all ready to have some fun with the rest of that game. Reaching for the chalk, He'd brush the top of his stick first, waiting on her answer -d-
Styx McKenzi: "Don't soft pedal it. Play it like you mean it." She knocked the shot back and then refilled the glass, but she took up her beer instead. She watched as he readied to take his shot. "There was one pool hall, Bobby's, in Saint Louis, that used to offer up five hundred dollars if you could sink the eight on the break." She nodded. "They don't do that anymore."
MurderOfMuses: " Why.. you keep winning ? " He said with a smirk. Concentrating now he aimed and readied that shot. Sinking the 3 ball this time it tapped the eight ball over a bit. He had two left to go. Both of them and the eight ball all on one wall. Grinning over at her he pointed. To teach ball. Corner.. other corner.. 8 ball back in this corner . " Even though it was more so next to the middle pocket. Grinning he was nearly holding the stick straight up before he slammed it down into the cue ball. It spun as it did a half arch hitting the first ball into its corner. But the spin he had on it would do a full arch from that corner all the way over to the other corner, knocking that one in before popping the cue to ride the rail , hitting the8 ball and sending it down the rail, sinking into the first corner he had hit. " I tend to stick to poker.. but I have a lot of fun with the tables too " He said with a grin-d-
Styx McKenzi: "In a week, they shelled out fifteen hundred. They stopped offering the purse and I bought my car. She nodded, then smirked as he sunk the three balls in succession. "But the car's done good by me. Still needs some work, cosmetically, but the mechanics of her are sound."
MurderOfMuses: " And that is all that matters . " He said with a laugh. " Good game. " He said stepping over to her. Stick set on the table he lifted his hand to her. " I'm Oz by the way " -d-
Styx McKenzi: Grinning, she took his hand in hers. "Styx." She gave a nod as she gave her name. "It got me all the way from Saint Louis to Seattle so, she's doing good."
