IzzyBeausoleil: Izzy was getting settled in, she'd located and found a house, though escrow had yet to close. Still, she was shopping today, looking for those things she would need to fill the place that was very much larger than her apartment in LA had been. She was going to be here for the long haul, provided nothing blew up in her face and she was preparing for that. Which was why she was now at the mall, looking for anything that jumped out at her and caught her interest.
Ash J Morrison: As she walked, a figure stepped into her peripheral vision, strolling alongside her wordlessly. It would only be when she turned her head that she'd notice Ash, hands in his pockets, looking completely casual as if he hadn't just pulled the ultimate creeper. He still had his leather jacket on to stave off the cold, and the obscenely bright yellow knitted scarf that read 'Caution: Crime Scene.' When she looked, Ash acted surprised. "Izzy! What are you doing following me? I don't feel safe around you anymore." Dimpled grin grew, and he nudged her with an elbow with hand still in his pocket. "How's tricks? You find a place yet?" JamesonOConnell: Mall Rat- he can hear his asinine cousin even as he paid the cashier for the bag she was handing over. She got an easy smile and a nod while the bag's handles were twisted in his grip before he headed out of the electronics shop. There was no particular place else he had to go right off, so for now worn boots were going to wander a bit while he followed the smell of food. When his pocket chirruped the immediate area was given a quick once over as the phone was pulled, the message checked as he continued walking and answered. Briefly. Basically- Fuck off. *
Ash J Morrison: Ash approves.
IzzyBeausoleil: As soon as the figure presented in her peripheral she smirked, in that little half smile, lips pursed manner she had. And that scarf, really? One could see that coming a mall mile away. "You shouldn't. I am a menace to society, don't you know." She looked over at him, a light chuckle given. "Come feed me. I do believe there is a food court ahead with our names on it."
Ash J Morrison: "Finally! Something substantial I can get into you." Oh, there was so much left hanging in the air that Ash didn't say, as one of the rare moments when he kept his mouth shut. What was wrong with his scarf? It was work related! "I'm dying for some Chinese. They have the best sauce here, even if it isn't very spicy." They continued on toward the smell of artery clogging deliciousness, and Ash sent Jameson a grin as he passed, having heard the brief conversation.
JamesonOConnell: It was retinal burning in ways one cannot explain. The phone was put back with another glance toward the left. Which was when he was greeted with a grin and that very same retinal burn. A brow arched as a smirk was given back, the woman the glaring scarf was with given a nod; both faces put to memory. Meat called, he must answer- the burger joint next to the Chinese place was where he'd stop. Good thing there was no line. "Double cheesebu'ger, extra bacon, large fries." The brogue wasn't hidden and given with a charming smile to the young lady behind the counter while he fished out cash. "An' a coke." Nod toward the machine, money handed over. *
IzzyBeausoleil: Izzy sent the man a smile as well, and then looked to Ash once more. "And yes, I have, though I don't close escrow until the end of the month. Until then, I'm at the Four Seasons. As for what I want to eat...." She looked to Chinese food, then back to the man with the brogue as he ordered his burger. It was Pavlovian, really, the way her mouth watered. "Hmm, bacon." One brow rose as she debated. "I'm going to have what he's having." She smiled at Ash. "Grab us a table if you're done first?" And then she was stepping off to gain that burger. Wasn't Ash complaining just the other day that all she ever ate was rabbit food?
JamesonOConnell: He's just that good. *
Ash J Morrison: Oh, that grin. No denying that guy was cute. "Four Seasons? We are totally watching the game at your place. Dibs on the hot tub, by the way." Greens slid back over to the man beside them. "That doesn't sound too bad, actually. A man after my own heart." And then Izzy was wandering off, and Ash followed like a lost puppy. She HAD been eating rabbit food! It was heartening to see she actually got more calories than what was in a stick of celery. As Jameson handed over his cash, Ash upnodded to the woman. "And two more of the same, please. Coke and root beer." He turned now, tucking his hands into his pockets as he leaned back against the nearby counter. The other man was given a curious study. "Not from around here either, are you?"
JamesonOConnell: He moved out of the way when he sensed and heard people heading up into the queue, another bit of a smirk was offered up to the two while he did. A casual lean was taken against the counter, the bag that held what he had bought with a large, black "thing" in it now hug by his knee. The curious look only had brows arch for a second before the smirk was back. "No'at all." He flashed a bit of a grin, then. "Are y'always so.....brigh'?" That could mean the question asked, or that scarf. Pick an' choose. *
IzzyBeausoleil: Izzy had to chuckle at that. Not a one of them bore the slightest trace of an American accent. It was amusing, really when one thought about it. Her amusement was plain in the twitching of her lips. As she tried not to laugh. "He does tend to stand out, does he not?" There was a joke in here, somewhere. A Scot, a Limey and a Kiwi walk into a food court....
JamesonOConnell: Not That's amusing. *
Ash J Morrison: He flashed him a dimpled grin, and waggled the end of his scarf playfully. "As the sun. Can't contain this much awesomeness." They can always think up the rest of that dirty joke back at her hotel room.. Heh. "Gotta keep a sense of humor in today's world to prevent from losing your fucking mind." Callused hand was offered over to Jameson. "Ash Morrison, formerly of Tauranga, New Zealand. This here is Barbarella, formerly of Mars."
JamesonOConnell: "Aye, 'e does." The grin remained before his attention was taken by the tray being put down behind him. Scarf Man otherwise known as Ash had him chuckling a bit from that...scarf. Thing. "Aye, tha' y'do." He slid the tray a bit further down but paused at the offering of a hand and names. Barbarella, huh? Amused hazels slid to "Barbarella" as he took Ash's hand in his own. Strong grip, callouses as well. "Jamie O'Connell, formerly of Mull." Figure that one out. "Nice t'mee' y'both." *
IzzyBeausoleil: "Izzy, actually, from Reading." She'd kick Ash later. In public it would just be unseemly. Her hand was offered out. "It's a pleasure. Tobemory?" There weren't a lot of towns on Mull. She had a pretty good chance of being correct in her posit. "How long since?"
Ash J Morrison: Depending on where she kicked him, he might like it. Their food arrived, and Ash turned away briefly to pay the cashier and fill the cups of soda. Upon his return, Izzy's drink was offered out, but Ash gallantly held the tray. "We were just sitting down for a meal. Care to join us? It's been a while since we met someone from out of the country. I was starting to think they closed the damned borders." Oh yes, please do. Eye candy on the left and the right? Ash was one happy man right now.
JamesonOConnell: "Izzy." Her hand was taken with the same grip and shaken before he released it back to her. His brows lifted as he snagged his tray, another pause with the town's name she offered. "Nae, Durvaig. Y'know Mull?" Excuse his slight surprise at her knowing. "Been many a year." The offer when Ash returned had him look between the two for a moment before he shrugged and gestured with the tray. "May as well." Grin. "Lead th'way, Ash of the Scarf." *
IzzyBeausoleil: "I visited once." She took her tray and drink and moved to follow where Ash led them. "I travel rather extensively for work, or have in the past I think my wandering days may well be over for a time." She wasn't sure whether or not she liked that.
Ash J Morrison: The nickname had him chuckling. The trip to a table was short, and Ash chose one that was in a sunny spot. "She's a power broker. I've been trying to hint that I need a new car, but the woman's a brick wall." Izzy was flashed a wink before he set his tray down, pulling out her chair for her. "And I'm a cop. Don't let that scare you, though. I only use my OC spray on my tacos." Once Izzy was seated, Ash shrugged off his jacket, draping it over the back of his chair. Just a white tshirt today, nothing special. He sank down into a comfortable slouch and began to unwrap his burger. "So what do you do, if you don't mind my asking?"
JamesonOConnell: The bag was put down onto the floor with a solid thunk sound and the chair next to it was taken by Jamie. "A power broker an' a cop? Interestin' comp'ny." His jacket stayed on, and under it was a black tshirt tucked into a light wash pair of jeans. Hazels switched between the two as they settled and he unwrapped. A slight brow hike was given to Ash at the question, "I'mma collector. Purchasin' fer others a'price. Curren'ly on leave t'relax a bi'." The bun was taken off and the lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions were flicked off before he put the bun back on. Muttering something about him not bein' a damn grazin' animal. "Cars, bikes, shite like tha'." In case he was asked. *
IzzyBeausoleil: "Recently appointed Division manager, Seattle Branch, Lloyd's of London." Settling, she slipped her things from her tray and set the now useless object on a nearby table. "Really?" She locked pale blues onto Jamie and then leaned forward a bit, even as she smirked at his disparaging remarks over the vegetation. "Have you ever worked in recovery?"
Ash J Morrison: No pickle or onion? Ash was horrified. "Well if you're not gonna eat those, it's a shame to waste them. They were promptly piled onto his own burger, freshly unwrapped. "Historical stuff too? I'm a complete history nerd. There are a few shops in town that have some really nice antiques. Friend of mine from work suggested them when I was looking for cheap furniture for my rathole of an apartment." Fries were smothered in ketchup, nectar of the gods behind Tabasco. "One of them has a suit of samurai armor. I think it's real, 'cause it practically comes up to my hips. Bet there's a few rich folk who'd like that in their foyer." And then he was taking a bite, glancing between Izzy and Jamie as they spoke.
JamesonOConnell: If he wanted 'salad' he woulda ordered it. He wanted meat, damn it. He waved off the vegetation to Ash with a smirk; have at'em. The bite he was going to take was paused a moment. "Recovery as in how?" Sharp hazels met blues and gave another smirk of sorts. "They call me wi'wot they need, an' I go fin' i'. I try t'ge' m'ands in as much as possible." The grin broke free, finally. "Th'armor's an expesive lo'. 'ope tha' frien' o'yers suggested someone tha' won' rape ya fer th'price o'i'." He shut himself up with a quick bite of burger. *
IzzyBeausoleil: How would she put this.... "Retrieving certain items of value that have been previously stolen." Was it technically stealing if the item had already been stolen once? Not in Izzy's book, though the law may differ on that. "We pay ten percent of the insured value of the items retrieved." Far cheaper than paying out a costly claim.
Ash J Morrison: "S'not rape if you like it," he chuckled as he studied his fries. "Hell no, I can't afford that sort of thing. I'm living on a public salary, remember? What would I do with it, anyway? Too nice and too small to be worn on Halloween." When Izzy spoke of payment, a brow went up. "I'm in the wrong line of work. Sounds like that's some Indiana Jones shit right there. You come across the spear of destiny, or the head of John the Baptist?" That was to both of them, by the way.
JamesonOConnell: That had him grunt a bit as he chewed. A pinkie was used and pointed at her as his lips twisted into a smirk again. The sip of coke he took helped him be able to speak again, "Now tha's an answer bes' no' given in public." Though Jamie did give Izzy a smirk afterwards- an answer without an answer, perhaps. Ash had him snicker with the first quip. "Too true." He ended up piling fries onto his burger and bacon while glancing between the two during their conversation. "Y'coul' se' i' up tae scare th'kiddies comin' an' demandin' candy." Simple, yes? "Ah...no. An' iffen I had, I wouldn'a been 'here." Newp. "Bora Bora's goo' this time o'year." *
IzzyBeausoleil: "One would have to have had it and insured it, and lost it before I would see it." She shrugged. And therefore, the answer was no. She bit into her burger, mental not to get Jamie's number made. She could see he would prove useful.
Ash J Morrison: "Oh I have better ways to scare the kids. Not only is it entertaining as hell, but it leaves more candy for me." Halloween was his favorite time of year! "Last year I dressed up as a math teacher, and answered the door with fake homework. Got a few screams." He was beaming at the memory. Good times, good times. "So some art thief makes off with a Picasso, which I think is a service to the art community, and the museum calls you." A motion to Izzy. "So you do paperwork and stuff, then call Jamie to track it down? Do I get to arrest him?"
JamesonOConnell: "Math...teacher?" He damn near snorted his bacon down into his sinuses with that one. "So wrong." He bit into his burger again while Ash did his trip down memory lane. Almost had it swallowed down when the man asked if he could arrest him. That had him cough. The cough went into a hack, then a laugh. "No." He pointed at Ash with his burger as he continued snickering. "No' gonna 'appen." Man doesn't get "caught" during jobs. Ever. Sorry. *
Ash J Morrison: Jamie got full force dimpled grin this time. "Scariest thing I could think of other than the IRS." Wait, Jamie thought Ash was talking about arresting him? That had him chuckling. "Not you, Jamie. The thief. I mean.. I'll arrest you if you really want me to." A playful hopping of brows.
IzzyBeausoleil: "If you find the thief, you may most certainly do so. However that's not a priority for us. We simply wish to regain that which was lost before we have to pay out a fortune on it." She smirked at the misunderstanding. "Now I don't see you as the type to worry over a little bit of hardware, overmuch." She sipped her coke and then went back to her burger.
JamesonOConnell: Some of the fries were shoved into the pile of mustard he had squeezed out of a packet. The smirk was back and given to Ash for the play of brows. "Nae need t'worry ovva 'ardware tha' is easily picked." He glanced between the two and the fries were gone. "M'nae tha' easily cuffed." The shrug was minute and the fries would be shortly finished off and washed down with coke again. "Y'ave tha' 'appen a lo' aroun' 'ere?" The curious question was posed to both of them, as were hazels that flickered between the two. *
Ash J Morrison: Mustard with fries?! Horrifying! But then Jamie was mentioning handcuffs. There was a playful glitter in Ash's eye. but he knew better than to press the issue right then and there. "What, arresting people? I joined the American police a month or two ago, so I'm still on the shit end of the stick with the other rookies. Chasing down the runners and trying to shove kicking meth-heads into the car, just like back in Tauranga. The older guys get to a point where they have a right to send the whippersnappers out to do the dirty work. Some of 'em actually appreciate it, too." Mustard. He suddenly wished there was some spicy mayo at that condiment table. "Some funny shit does happen, though. Some lady called 911 because she wanted an officer to come out and handle the fact that MacDonald's wouldn't sell her some chicken nuggets, or something." Oh, and the boar call.. They HAD to hear that one. IzzyBeausoleil: "A retrieval specialist can save the insurer millions of dollars on one piece alone." She looked then at Ash as he told about granny's mcnuggets. "Really. Did you cite her for misuse of an emergency line?"
JamesonOConnell: "I mean' recoverin', bu' tha' works." The napkins were taken to be used to wipe his mouth and fingers- he was done already. He has learned a long damn time ago how to eat on the run- the habit hasn't left him in the least. Any faster and people might think he was a new release. "Someone's gotta do th'shite jobs, may as well be ye." The grin wrinkled features as his papers were balled into a tight mass and dropped beside his coke. "Misuse an' strip search?" The cocky grin was back but quickly removed by the drink of soda. *
Ash J Morrison: "Oh that wasn't here. It was somewhere else in the country, a few years ago. There's a whole bunch of weird calls floating around. My favorite is the one where some guy calls about a warthog attacking his wife." Poor Ash, he almost inhaled a pickle when the gentle tease was heard. Holy hell, don't get his hopes up like that. "Even better. A little side training for 'hostages and terrorists.'" A knowing wink sent Jamie's way, and then he was back to being completely innocent. "So what happens if your piece ended up in some bigwig's private collection? People like that don't readily give up stuff like that. I mean, if it's 'modern'-" note the finger quotes, "-then they can fucking keep it. History doesn't need another pillow nailed to a wall."
IzzyBeausoleil: "It really doesn't matter where it ends up, so long as we get it back. Obviously we would prefer that such items are retrieved prior to going to a buyer, but really, anyone in the market for such items is going to know up front that they're dealing in stolen goods. They have no legal recourse to fall back on."
JamesonOConnell: "None." Which helps in so many ways. His coke was nearly cashed, mostly ice and swill now. The lean back a bit gave him the angle for it to go sailing into the trash bin nearby- he'd walk the paper wad over at least. "Y'either convince'em o'tha', or find other ways." Simple, really. Simple and not. "Wai'..war'hog?" Squint. *
Ash J Morrison: "I was thinking someone would have to go Mission Impossible on them." He perked when Jamie mentioned the call about the warthog, and instantly dug into his pocket for his phone. "You guys have to hear this. I almost pissed my pants laughing when I first heard it." A few taps of fingers on the Android phone, and he set it to the middle of the table for all to hear, a big shit-eating grin on his face.
IzzyBeausoleil: Izzy listened as the call began to play. As the caller said he'd drag his wife over to Oak, she cracked up. "That's the bloody funniest thing I've heard all day!"
JamesonOConnell: The twitching started, and was lost when the guy spoke about dragging her to Oak Street?! That was when the laughter started. "I'm gonna go drag her on over to Oak Street?" The hick accent? Nailed. *
Ash J Morrison: He couldn't help but crack up, tucking the phone away. "I know, right? Part of me thinks that's fake, but I so badly want to believe it's real. And nice accent, by the way. Shout out the window about Bubba Jay not forgetting to pick up butter for 'sketti, and you're a real hillbilly."
IzzyBeausoleil: As Jamie mimicked the caller, she started laughing all over again, tears forming in her eyes as she tried to catch a breath. Sucking in a breath, she wiped at her eyes with her napkin, having lost all composure. "Is Bubba Jay not that dummy from Jefuhfuh Dun Ham...." Yes she went all Peanut on their asses.
JamesonOConnell: The laughter kept the grin in place, even if he had no clear idea on who either Bubba Jay or Jefuhfuh Dun Ham were. "Well, I may jus' be waitin' on tha' fer another day." Wait...dummy? Jamie's brows pinched in slight confusion while hazels did the ping pong between the two. *
JamesonOConnell: "Than'ye." For the compliment on the fake accent. He almost forget. *
Ash J Morrison: "Oh fuck that monstrosity. I hate that thing." Yes, Ash did not like Peanut. "Give me Achmed or Walter and I'm a happy man, but he's funny enough without the puppets." He caught Jamie's confused look and shook his head understandingly. "Ventriloquist that's actually funny. It's all over the internet if you look. Check out Jingle Bombs by Achmed the Dead Terrorist."
IzzyBeausoleil: Izzy looked back at Jamie and laughed again. "Jeff Dunham is a ventriloquist of some repute. Bubba Jay is one of his characters." She nodded. "Achmed is hilarious. Especially when he talks about Walter, or Jose jalepeno.... On a Steek."
Ash J Morrison: "Onna steeek.." Repeating, because it was awesome.
JamesonOConnell: 'Jingle Bombs' was mouthed by him before he nodded, "will do." Izzy was just going to confuse him with the names, but they were noted for later "research". The low laugh escaped again and that wad of paper was snagged. "I'll fin'em. Fer now, I need tae be runnin'. Than'ye both fer th'com'any an' laugh." He gave both a grin as he stood from the chair. "Made lunch a migh' bi' be'er." *
IzzyBeausoleil: Izzy pulled her phone and started a youtube search. When she found what she was looking for, she handed the phone over to Jamie, or not as he was leaving. Instead, she pulled one of her cards and offered it over. "Please do give me a ring. I should like to speak with you on availability for work."
Ash J Morrison: "Oh, hey." Ash lifted up slightly so he could grab his wallet. "Let me give you my card. We ought to go out for a beer and wings or something. Talk about how modern art is nothing but kindergarten doodles for adults." He flashed another grin and held the card out. JamesonOConnell: ...
Ash J Morrison: "Jinx." A look to Izzy.
IzzyBeausoleil: She looked at Ash and pinched his arm. "You owe me."
Ash J Morrison: "For what?!" A playfully horrified tone.
JamesonOConnell: Excuse his laughter? "Oi, aye..." Both cards were taken as he laughed and lifted. "Than'ye both. I'll gi'both o'ye a call, aye?" He tucked the cards into his back jean pocket and shook his head a bit before the paper wad was tossed into the trash. The bag got snatched off of the floor with a quick bend and the helmet was pulled out of it before the bag was wadded and shoved into his jacket. That was zipped afterward. "I'll leave ye ter yer beatin'."
Ash J Morrison: "I'll end up liking it. Later, man."
JamesonOConnell: He tipped his head toward Ash but gave it to Izzy. "'ave a goo' one...an' I'm sure ye will." The grin was given before he moved on, that helmet won't be put on until he got outside. It was damn cold, but the bike was all he had at the moment. *
IzzyBeausoleil: "have a wonderful day." She smiled and nodded, then looked back at Ash. "For saying the same thing at the same time. You owe me a coke."
Ash J Morrison: Instantly, he was grabbing Izzy's wrists. "Ok, you, me and and him in the hot tub at your room, watching the superbowl. Please, please make this happen. I'll bring the whipped cream. The kind with booze in it."
IzzyBeausoleil: "You are in fact, one twisted git."
JamesonOConnell: He and that Guzzi were outta there- so said the windows that rattled when the bitch started up.
Ash J Morrison: "Oh come on, don't tell me you wouldn't like having two hot guys fawning all over you at the same time." Eyebrows were hopping again.

KrystalFlake: Krystal had swung by the Orange Julius in the mall to get herself a large pina colada drink. For as long as she could remember she loved these damn things. Maybe it was the memories of happier times in her life. It certainly reminded her of her father and trips for being good that she got to go on as a child. Wearing a pair of jeans and a tank top with a very loose weave sweater wedges were eating up the floor of the mall as she window shopped and sipped on her drink. [d]
Alex Vipond: It was weird in a way, cool, but weird. After all this time, his songs were finally hitting the airwaves. The single from Unstoppable was skyrocketing in popularity. Perhaps ironically, it was not the title track, but then the singles that were used to push album were generally considered the strongest track on the album. The track that would be most likely to draw people into buying the whole, on the strength of the one. Wherever You Will Go was running rampant, and as Alex passed a record store along the promenade, he paused, unable to not grin as he heard.... himself. A low chuckle was given and he continued on, past the shop, looking for something for Meghan but so far, nothing had jumped out at him. Spotting the familiar form of Krystal, he chuckled once more and double timed a few steps to fall into place beside her. "Imagine running into you here..."
KrystalFlake: Krystal caught sight of him out of the profile before she heard his voice, slowing down a step as he caught up. Pulling the straw from between her lips she smiled and turned her head a bit to look at him. "Fancy meeting you. What are you doing trolling the mall?" Krystal liked wandering the mall now and then. She was more the window shopper than anything else so it was nice just to wander around. [d]
Alex Vipond: "I am waiting for something to jump out and yell buy me." He nodded. "So far, it has not happened." He shrugged. "But I'm hopeful. I mean, I gotta get Meghan something, you know? Just a little thank you, you know, for putting up with all the cramped conditions while on tour, and ... you know, a bunch of guys whose idea of hilarity is who can belch the alphabet or break wind the longest."
KrystalFlake: "Ah the joys of men in their element." She laughed and shook her head. A gift for the wife. "Women like shoes. At least most do" She grinned and paused in her step a little to show off her's. "You could get her a day at the spa.. Flowers and chocolate. I mean really the options are endless." Because women just loved being spoiled in general. You had to be living under a rock not to know that. If she said she didn't she was lying. [d]
Alex Vipond: "The spa idea holds merit." He nodded as he contemplated that. "I mean I stopped at the Harley Davidson shop, but nothing really jumped out at me. I got her leathers at Christmas." Amongst other things, but yeah. He wanted to make sure she was safe out there. Not that she'd had much opportunity to ride of late.... "Maybe a run. You know, organize something for a group of riders, just so they can get out on the road and enjoy it."
KrystalFlake: "If it's something she would enjoy. Any charities that you have involved yourself in as a caring musician? Maybe supporting the local schools or under priviledged children?" Hey Bono had Live Aid so you know it never hurt to get yourself out there for being recognized as a pillar of society. Then again she didn't know how much he cared about that or how much he wanted to be involved with the community. Krystal kept a low profile and donated when she felt like it was something worth donating to. It just didn't happen all that much. Every now and then just to be amused she donated to groups dedicated to helping people with sex and porn addictions. [d]
Alex Vipond: Alex pulled up the right sleeve of his jacket, pushing it up past his elbow and showed her his forearm with the Donate Life in script running up the inside of it. "Charity Run, and maybe a show at the end of it." he nodded. "Sounds good." he smiled to her. "So, what about you? What are you doing, other than keeping Orange Julius in business?"
KrystalFlake: She turned her head to look at the tattoo and nodded her head. "Seems like a good idea. Everyone loves a free show." As for what she was doing she gestured with a hand down to her feet and back up. "You are looking at it. Having a pina colada and wandering around the mall. Maybe I will find my one true love in a shoe store or something. Very unlikely, but a girl does have to keep an open mind about these things." Not that Krystal was in any way shape or form looking for true love in the mall or anywhere else for that matter. [d]
DemoBeast:-Theres something you didn't see every day and it was coming from around the corner with his silver hair coverd by a civil war hat and going along with it abrown jacket and black jeans fitting hs lean musular body, Black gloves, one holding a red sucker popped into his salt and peper beard coverd face, right into his mouth. Glancing around he saw the to at the orange julius and made his way to the counte.,d
Alex Vipond: "Well, the mall is one of the best places to people watch, behind only airports and bus stations." Alex nodded, "And then there's Wal-Mart, but you gotta prepare yourself for the possibility of needing brain bleach." He shrugged. "There are some weird assed people at Wal-Mart." It was kind of scary, actually. If forced to choose between a zombie apocalypse and a Wal-Mart apocalypse.... He'd have to think long and hard about it. "Mall folk aren't quite that bad, fortunately."
KrystalFlake: "I don't know. The DMV can be quite the entertainment venue as long as you aren't in a hurry." Many a time she had been sitting in one in Vegas and couldn't help the amusement that she was seeing inside. "You know WalMart is just a freak show waiting to happen. Makes me glad that there were no cell cameras when I was a teen wandering around in wife beaters and tank tops at 3 in the morning." Oh those were the days. Grocery store, Walmart... Gas station. Vegas was a place people didn't seem to bat a lash at that kind of thing. "Only when it's teens in packs on the weekends should you be afraid for your life." Grinning as she said it. [d]
Alex Vipond: Laughing, Alex nodded. "Teenagers in my day were a little more direct." And armed. And often found either chasing skirt or skirmish. "Come to think of it, nothing much has changed." He smirked, as they walked, pausing from time to time to check the wares at this shop or that. "Kind of odd, how the more things change, they still seem much the same. Human nature, I suppose."
KrystalFlake: Krystal hooked her arm in his and leaned in. "Or is it human nature?" She raised a brow at him and pursed her lips for a moment. "Honestly I am beginning to think that humans are more influence by things they don't know that are around them. Such as creatures like myself." Because honestly creatures like Krystal could cause a lot of problems if they were bored. Marriage meant nothing to them really. Love was something they had a tendancy to avoid actually. "The longer I am alive the more doubts I have about humans and their idea of free will." [d]
Alex Vipond: "There are all sorts of influence peddlers. You think I ended up as I am because I chose it?" He spoke low, keeping the conversation between them. "And it wasn't anything so very nefarious as vile intentions, it was sheer lust. I followed a woman, who led me down a path, the light of which turned out to be the proverbial freight train coming down the tunnel. Do I regret being turned?" He shook his head. "Not now. There was a time, yes, when I railed and raged over it, but now, with Meghan... I know there was a reason for it."
KrystalFlake: Krystal nodded, she understood being what you were and not really having a choice. "Unfortunately some of us are simply born without the choice." As for lust, it was something that she lived and breathed every day. "I'm sure there are more than a few men in my life who wish they hadn't met me, but sometimes we do what we must to survive." Choice was a bitch. You could live or you could die and sometimes that was all the choice that you got. "If you weren't what you are now there are a lot of things I'm sure that would have been different in your life. As for many others in the world we live. You are lucky to have found her though. I don't know that I'd want to find someone to love. I live a life that is questionable in nature even in regards to survival." [d]
Alex Vipond: "Just gotta find that balance. Once you do, everything falls into place, and makes sense, finally. I was ... lost, for a long time. Hated what I was, the things I had done, torn with guilt over them..." He shrugged. "My mother was a very devout woman. I don't think a day went by that she couldn't, at one point or another, be found in chapel, praying, at least once a day. All that praying..." he paused as he looked into a shop, without seeing what lay behind the glass. "Didn't keep them from being taken from us." He shook the memory off; then looked back at Krystal. "Everything happens for a reason. The trick is to not let it break you."
KrystalFlake: "I've come to terms what I am. Unfortunately that means that someone has to not be a stick in the mud to be around me. Being possessive is an imposibility." She lifted her drink to take a sip from the straw and turned to the shop they stopped in front of. "It would take someone a great deal of stamina and reserves to keep from from looking anywhere else." If was an unfortunate thing. "I don't think my mother had any idea what she was getting herself in to when she had a child with my father. Even if he warned her. Those that fall from grace will not always be looked on favorably by the creator no matter how devout the one praying for them is. My mother thought she could see him forgiven, but he would always be one of the fallen." [d]
Alex Vipond: Alex chuckled. "When we were on tour, our stop in LA, we stayed at my house there, and my house keeper, seeing me outside," he glanced around and then back at Krystal. "She got all excited, thought I had been 'cured'. I finally got her to understand it was magic, not miracle." He'd found it amusing at the time, until Castiel had showed up after they arrived back in Seattle when the US leg of the tour was over.
KrystalFlake: "Magic, miracle.. To humans it is all the same. Demons, devils, angels, and saints. What are they really when it comes down to it." She rolled a shoulder in a shrug and took one last sip of the drink before hitting the bottom of it. Tossing it into a trash can along the way she fell in beside Alex again. "Labels can't live with them and don't want to explain the right one to the wrong people." [d]
Alex Vipond: "I've never identified, you know?" Alex looked at Krystal as they walked. "Even at my lowest, I was, first and foremost, a man, a musician. The what is so far down the list that it doesn't register except at meal time." And you know, those times when he got a little too much sun. "People ask me what I am, I tell them. Gemini." He smirked.
KrystalFlake: "I suppose I am fortunate in that regard. The what is so hard to identify that the best they can come up with is demon or devil. I can assure you I am not the latter. He's a bastard to be sure." She nodded her head matter of factly because she had been on a first name basis with the creature and it was not a pleasant thing at all. "I don't know if I have ever really thought about what I identify with. My work.. I am not so sure that I want to be identified as just a security specialist. Muscian sounds so much better. Woman.. well I think that's rather obvious." The last it she laughed at with a shake of her head. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Music is life. It's definitely my life. I'd be lost without it. It would be like tying an Italian's hands behind his back and then telling him to speak." Alex cracked up at his own analogy, but the mental image was just too much.
KrystalFlake: "Europeans do have a very distinct body language." She laughed and walked over to the rail that was looking down to the floor below them. Leaning on her forearms and taking a look at the ants that were milling about. "Music is a good thing to have in your life. I think that's why I enjoyed working at nightclubs so much. I typically worked out on the floor so that I could pretend to be a part of the crowd while enjoying the tunes." [d]
Alex Vipond: "I was writing my own songs by the time I was eight." He paused, "Granted, they weren't very good, but with time, they got better. It was an outlet, you know? A way to express the thing that needed to get out before the lid blew." he shrugged as he leaned next to her there at the rail, looking down at the floor below from the mezzanine. "Ever think about dropping things on people from here as they pass by? Nothing major, just ... you know, wads of paper or something."
KrystalFlake: "My outlet was a lot more destructive after my father was killed." Yeah drugs were a good way to give yourself an outlet if you wanted to be selfdescructive. Too bad she didn't know then that it didn't matter how much she took it would never kill her. Looking down over the rail with a grin she slanted her eyes at him. "Ever see the movie Weird Science? One of my favorite scenes Robert Downey Jr and his his buddy dump slushies on the nerds." So yeah she'd thought about it and had done it as a teenager just to see if she could get away with it. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Yes!" He slapped his hand against the rail, "Punk ass, him and his friend." He chuckled. "I would have been the one getting dumped on. I was always the quiet one, off to the side, watching everything. Until it came to my music, and then all bets were off."
KrystalFlake: "I think I have been in love with his punk ass as an actor and as any of his character since I was like 12." She laughed and put a hand out to him. "I know you have a pack of gum on you somewhere." She was grinning. Oh yeah she was definitely going to drop something off the side. "I've never been the quiet one. I've always been the one who was crazy enough to do as others suggested." [d]
Alex Vipond: "Ah ha..." He nodded and slipped his pack out, offering it out to her before swapping his own gum out. The wrapper he wadded up into a tiny little ball. Too bad she'd dumped her cup from Orange Julius, they could use a straw about now. It would be funny as hell to smack a mall cop upside back of the head with a spit ball. Just once.
KrystalFlake: There was always a next time. Between the two of them compelling themselves out of trouble should be a breeze. That is if they weren't cackling like loons and running for the nearest exist like a pair of teenagers. She took the piece of gum that was offered from the pack and slipped the piece in her mouth. Tearing the wrapper in half she folded it up. Sticking a hand in her pocket she produced a hair tie. Hey if you didn't have a straw make a sling shot from your fingers and a hair tie. Grinning she leaned over and used the hair tie and loaded it up. Looking for a target she plucked and let it fly! [d]
Alex Vipond: Alex watched, and then cracked up, turning to take a sudden interest in something on their level as his lips twitched upward and he giggled. Yes, giggled. As it was, it was all he could do not to crack up as the victim looked around trying to decide what the hell had happened.
KrystalFlake: Krystal found an interest in her nails, picking at them as she glanced around cool as a cucumber. Glancing at him she moved to elbow him. "You are going to give me away." But even she was trying not to laugh her ass off as she watched the guy rub his bald head. Hey she had gone for a good easy target. Folding up the second piece of the wrapper she handed it to him along with the "gun". "Come on Ace let's see what you are made of." [d]
Alex Vipond: Alex waved off the offer, choosing instead to flick it from his fingers. He watched as the tiny wad of paper flew toward, yes a mall cop, one of those who was so far removed from the off duty cop moonlighting as security as one could get. This guy was more the type who wanted to be, but couldn't make the grade for one reason or another. When the wad hit the man in the side of the neck, Alex looked away, taking a sudden interest in the sights and sounds of the Rainforest Cafe below.
KrystalFlake: Well, as soon as the mall cop looked away Krystal used her last bit of ammo and went for him again. Only her aim ended up being a little bit off and the wad went right into his ear. Krystal couldn't help laughing as the guy stuck his finger in his ear and started looking around. Laying her head down on her arm on the rail her shoulders were shaking as she laughed. Dough boy the mall cop might have started catching on as soon as he looked down and saw wrappers by his feet. Maybe. He was a little dense looking. [d]
Alex Vipond: Slow on the uptake, which was good for them. He rolled his gum around his mouth, and looked back at the Rainforest Cafe. It sounded like Wild Kingdom in there. He did risk another glance at the mall cop, before he cracked up and looked away again. "God I am so easily amused."
KrystalFlake: She lifted her head up from her arms. "You? I'm the one who decided it was a good idea." She laughed and shook her head. Looking down where he had been. "What's going on down there that you keep looking? Something I am missing? [d]
Alex Vipond: "That Rainforest Cafe. Looks interesting." he shrugged. It had garnered his attention and now he'd be fixated on it until he finally broke down and went in. "Maybe next week, I'll drag Meghan there."
KrystalFlake: "Well, let me know how it is." Not that she ate a whole lot of food. Nudging him with her shoulder. "Thanks for the laugh. Man I needed that." She honestly hadn't laughed like that in a while and it felt good. [d]
Alex Vipond: Nodding, he grinned. "Sometimes you just gotta act the moronic teen ager, if only once in your life." Course with him he got to do it every so many decades, simply because he could pass for one, if he went back to being the toe headed blond he was as a youth. "You know the funniest thing anyone has ever said to me?" He turned, leaning back against the rail as he regarded her, amusement in his eyes, a smirk touching his lips. "I had someone, God, it must have been... '56, maybe '57, I was hanging with Buddy, Niki, Joe and Jerry a lot in those days and we were in New York. I remember being down in the subway and we were just goofing off, cutting up and acting like clowns, and some beat cop, got onto us, told us we should be ashamed of ourselves and act our age..." He smirked. "I looked at him and said, 'Sir, if I act my age, I'd have to lay down and die right here...' It just struck me as the funniest thing, because there I was, cutting up with the guys, when I was pushing hell out of the seven century mark. Course I couldn't tell them why I thought it was so damned funny."
KrystalFlake: "I can only imagine. Give me a few more centuries and I will probably be amusing myself with jokes only I can understand." Shaking her head she smiled and pushed away from the railing and turned around so that she could lean against it with her back instead, watching people walk past them. Krystal wasn't sure she could ever pass for a teenager, but she might be able to if she didn't put much makeup on. "If I make it that far." Krystal had a long way to go before she ever got that far. She wondered how much would change in that time. Then again just in a few decades her life had changed so much that she could barely remember a time when things weren't the way they were now. "If there was one thing that you could go back and change about how you've lived since you were turned, what would that be?" [d]
Alex Vipond: There was no hesitation, what so ever. It was out without any need for ponderance. "Alexandra." Alex locked his gaze on the entrance to the JC Penny store, though he wasn't really seeing it. "That would be the one thing I would change."
KrystalFlake: "Who's Alexandra?" Krystal was looking at his profile as he stared off into the nothing. It was amazing where your mind could transfer you when you stopped to think about something. The surroundings that you were in could simply disappear and suddenly you were back in a moment. [d]
Alex Vipond: "The niece I didn't know I had, when I drained the life out of her." Alex blinked a few times, then cut a sideways glance to her before he turned to look down over the rail, resting his forearms against it as he leaned. "Long story short, my maker sent me home, knowing I wasn't ready for such, in the hope that I would do precisely what I did. It was her desire to kill the last of that which was human in me." He looked back at Krystal. "She failed, but my niece is still dead."
KrystalFlake: Krystal had a few skeletons in her own closet. Dead people didn't haunt her in her life. It was the living that she was haunted by. "It would have been better to foster your trust unconditionally than to deny you what they think will make you stay unconditionally." Folding her arms those browns knit. "I will never understand why people think that cruel and unusual acts work like that. If the person you chose is strong and independant you've only given them ammunition further down the line. A fuel for an inner fire that will turn into a bonfire eventually." She turned her head to look at him. "I suppose I am fortunate in that I never had a maker.. I was too young to miss what my father could have shown me. My adult life has been a fantastic series of mistakes of my own." She smiled and shook her head turning those bright blue eyes back on the store front she was facing. "So you had no family after that save your maker. I'd rather use the living as incentive and blackmail." [d]
Alex Vipond: "My sister, I thought was lost to me, so yes. I was alone. And I preferred being alone to keeping company with Alea. After I returned to her in a rage, with every intention of killing her, things were never the same. Not that they were all that fantastic before, which was why she sent me home. I had this unforgiveable flaw. This decided lack of desire to kill." He shrugged. "It was an unforgiveable sin in her eyes."
KrystalFlake: "Nicole's boss." Ah well now it seemed a bit more clear. Not that she knew Nicole all that well herself. Dragging her fingers through her hair she flipped it to one side and again relaxed into that lean. "Don't you think that it's more beneficial to let them live. It is practice for compelling talent, there are no bodies to hide.. Not that we don't all have a slip up here and there." But really wasn't life so much easier when your victim got to walk away with some fuzzy memories and a good time in their head. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Alexandra was the last. I never killed again while feeding. I was a young vampire, not in complete control. Alea knew that." It wasn't that he'd not killed after that, but he'd only done so in self-defense. It didn't negate what he'd already done, however. Not in his eyes, and he couldn't understand the recent events with Castiel. "And the last decade, I've been bottle fed, mostly. I will admit to tapping a vein here and there, in social settings or ... when you know..." Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. If she needed clarification he was certain she would ask for it.
KrystalFlake: Krystal leaned in and gave the melodramatic whisper.." You talking about with sex?" Come on she had to. Nodding though she understood. "It's part of who you are. To go completely bottle bound would be able the equivilant of a man being impotent. Or close enough to it. Wish there was a bottled alternative for me, but alas no such luck. Not even a nice big juice hunk of raw roast in a cage shall satisfy." Yeah she was pretty sure she didn't need to clarify on why someone would hang raw meat somewhere to feed a hunger. "Now I do have a question.. how does that even become part of a social setting. Me I can understand.. I mean I'll turn a party into an orgy." [d]
Alex Vipond: "Pretty much the same thing." he nodded. "In LA we called them freshies. A freshy being a fresh source..." He gave a self-deprecating half nod, half shrug. "Basically they're donors who get off on it. And there clubs were you can partake of them. Trinity's VIP room is geared toward such. It's all vamps and freshies."
KrystalFlake: "It's never been my thing to volunteer like that. I don't get the appeal for just that on it's own. Granted there are some of you with a delicious bite." Oh she'd met some that people melted over the sound of their voice and heard about a few with orgasm in a bite, but it never really made her want to just pop a vein and say take me. "I suppose it is to each their own, but I don't believe I've ever worked a club that's been set up like that. Well, truth be told the most interesting one I worked at was basically the front of a high class... ah.. escort service." Polite way of saying expensive whores. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Well it's that, or bite, feed, erase... Don't get me wrong, I've done it more times than I can count, but if you're in a controlled environment, there's less chance of exposure." He shrugged. "My last time of doing that I got a bad freshy. I have no clue what she was on, but it was just damned fortunate for me that the windows of my car are UV protected. I passed out in the front seat, woke up with my face mashed into the door panel on the passenger side, and had the vaguest recollection of having called Meghan and saying some things that were inappropriate." He nodded. "Never touched another freshy after that."
KrystalFlake: "Maybe that's why I like them anonymous. It would take something really nasty to set me off my game. Likely they'd end up in worse shape than I would otherwise." She couldn't recall a time where she'd come across something that she had an adverse reaction to. "I can't even imagine what that's like... Other that a really bad taquilia night." Some five dollar bottom shelf stuff at that. "I'm not physically ingesting anything so I'm sure that helps." [d]
Alex Vipond: "Yeah well, typically freshies are ... I don't want to say regulated, but there is a meticulous checks and balances system to make sure there is no harm done, on either end. And I just gotta say, thank God I had just gotten my car done..." He shook his head. "I mean I literally had gotten it back not maybe two weeks prior. If it were not for that, I would have gone up like Richard Pryor."
KrystalFlake: The Pryor joke made her laugh. She had been very young when it happened so she just remembered the jokes after. "You are very fortunate. You would have been a cripsy citter after that one." Pushing away from the rail she turned to look at him. "Good thing you are just hitting the bottle these days."
Alex Vipond: Alex nodded. "Helps when I own the company that's cloning the product. Clinical trials are looking good, we may be cleared soon by the FDA to start supplying hospitals." He paused. "And because it's cloned, there's no buildup of free radicals, the way you'd get with an adult human."
KrystalFlake: "And science fiction becomes a reality. Let me know when you bottle an aura." Walking a few steps away Krystal took the hair tie that had managed to get slid around her wrist and used it to pull up that wealth of sunkissed golden brown. "That my friend would at least keep me from spreading myself too thin. Or just find me something nice, pretty, tasty and doesn't mean being chained up in my basement... someone running around in our world preferrably." Was she kidding? Somewhat. Should wouldn't turn a gift like that down if he found one! [d]
Alex Vipond: Chuckling, he shrugged. "Who knows? They're talking about creating warp fields to propel us through space. Producing and bottling life force may not be all that farfetched." Was it a coincidence that his company was Life Force Enterprises? Not really. It was simply a natural progression from donating life to creating it, first blood; then maybe kidneys or tendons or spinal cords. Alex had dreams, and the potential to live long enough to see it become a reality.
KrystalFlake: "Perhaps..." She walked over to him and folded her arms with her head canted to the side. "But mines not quite so tangible Though I suppose it is sort of like sucking the juice out of a battery. I'd be interested to see what a bunch of egg heads would put together." Krystal wasn't in any hurry to have a bottle fed habit. She was too much of a physical creature and there was something about feeding from someone. The intimacy of it. "Though I am not sure if it's really life, a soul or just the juice that keeps someone running. Ah well. I have to get going. Catch you in the studio. I will be monkeying around in there all this week running cables right along side your IT guys."
Alex Vipond: "Sounds good." He nodded and pushed from his lean against the rail. "I'm going to go home and bite my wife." He waggled his brows at her.
KrystalFlake: "Got you all worked up.. have to relieve that tension huh?" She laughed and waved to him as she was walking away. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do... Or would for that matter." And off to find her way home.
Alex Vipond: Chuckling, Alex headed the other direction, and out to his car, his own way home found.

Alex Vipond: Alex was ... supposed to be at the studio, but he'd decided a little side trip to the mall was in order. Shay had said she was having a boy at the reception. She was excited and Alex couldn't help but be excited for them. He knew babies required a lot of stuff, and had decided, spur of the moment, to hit the mall and check things out to see just what was what. In his day, babies were cared for by nurses and nannies. The day to day stuff was beyond him and he knew things would have changed a great deal. Research, in effect, was needed and Alex was now prowling the mall in search of answers to all questions baby.
InkedPr1ncess: That was Bren's idea, she planned on going in, of course, but she hadn't taken the time just to go shopping in a while and it sounded like fun. The place was big enough to be able to spend all day, and she had doubted that she would see anyone she knew, but the strange sight of Alex looking through baby items was almost amusing. Oh hell, of course it was funny. She was loaded down with just a few bags, having already made her pitstops at Godiva and Bath and Body Works, but she wasn't done yet. She just couldn't pass up the opportunity to call her friend out on such an occasion. "Alex, you trying to tell somebody something?" she asked, not trying to scare the shit out of him but definitely wanted his attention. ;;;
Alex Vipond: Alex looked over his shoulder, and just chuckled. "Jake and Shay are pregnant. She mentioned at the reception it's going to be a boy and I thought I'd start looking at baby stuff to get an idea of what they need." he paused and looked at all the crap that seemed to come along with having a baby. "It's a little overwhelming." And it wasn't his kid. He could only imagine what Jake was going through.
InkedPr1ncess: "You have no idea what you're doing, do you?" she asked, not in a condescending way but unless she had missed something huge, she didn't think Alex had done this before. "Diapers are always good to have plenty of, bottles, clothes...start out at newborn, maybe even buy things he can grow into. I wonder if they're registered anywhere.' :::
Alex Vipond: "Registered? They register for these things? What you have to be licensed to be a parent now?" Actually in some cases, that wasn't a bad idea. One brow rose as he contemplated and then he shook his head. "I have no idea if they are or not." He started looking around for those diapers. "How much do you think they'll need?" like it was quantifiable over the course of the child's need for such.
InkedPr1ncess: She would forget sometimes that Alex was from a completely different generation than she was and she laughed a little bit but she decided her need to shop wasn't as important as his own need. "Well, people need to be registered to have kids, or some of them do. But I mean, people register at different stores so people can go in and buy what's on their lists. "They'll probably have a lot of help so you don't have to go overboard. But a few packages at least would help." She motioned for him to follow along and she wandered around until they found a large section of dozens of different brands. :::
Alex Vipond: Alex just stared at the selection, his eyes getting a little rounder by the moment, until he blinked and looked back at Bren. "Ummm...." and that was about it, for the moment, he went back to regarding the selections and eyeing the packages, reading the labels and it all may as well have been in Sanskrit for all the sense it made to him.
InkedPr1ncess: "Alex, Alex. I think it's about time we bring you up to speed in the world. How is it you have one of the best and most complicated phones but you can't pick out diapers?" The cheaper ones just didn't pay to get so she found the brand that she thought seemed the best quality. "You want to get these today or just make notes? This is the best, I'd say probably get newborns and a couple of the next size up." :::
Alex Vipond: "Because I don't use diapers?" That would just be odd if he did. "I'll just make notes." And speaking of his phone, he used it to snap a picture of the diapers Bren selected. "There. I can shop for kids." He nodded and gave her a thumbs up.
InkedPr1ncess: "You think I do? I guess it's a woman thing, we just know this stuff even if we don't have kids.' She shrugged and gave him a nod, the pictures were a good idea and would give him something to go off of. She took him slow through the store, showed him the wipes since they were close, bottles, and even the section with all the lotions and washes for baby. "Stuff like this always comes in handy." :::
Alex Vipond: Alex nodded and snapped pictures, notes taken as well. "She's far enough along that she knows what it is. I think she said she's due in November, but I'm not certain." He regarded the lotions and smelled a few and had to smile at the smell. "Babies definitely smell better than they used to."
InkedPr1ncess: "Of course they do, companies are focusing as much on babies now as they do adults. One of my favorite companies makes a perfume that adults can wear or spray on their babies." The clothes were the hardest part to decide on, because there was just so many of them and styles to choose from. "Boys are easier to shop for than girls I think." :::
Alex Vipond: He just looked at her, both brows shooting upward. "Who would spray a baby with perfume? That seems... harsh." He looked toward the clothes and headed that way. "Well we do have less gear. You girls like to strangle yourselves in things we wouldn't contemplate short of torture."
InkedPr1ncess: "It's not an obnoxious smell. Probably just for after bath or something. It actually really smells good." But he did have a point, though most of the time she liked to dress casual and comfortable, she did have some of those killer stilettos and outfits that were more constricting than comfortable. "I bet if you looked in Meghan's closet, you could find at least one outfit that is form fitting." :::
Alex Vipond: "There's a difference between form fitting and a whale boned corset." Alex nodded, "And layers and layers of petticoats. Trust me; the Victorian era was hell on a man." He picked up one thing after another, studied it and set it aside to move on to the next. "There's a touch of slink to clothes now that is highly alluring. In fact there was more than one dress at the wedding that showed a good expanse of back, which... I for one, find alluring."
InkedPr1ncess: The comment had probably made her seem like she was a lot older but it wasn't the case. "Twenty eight," she answered truthfully, she was going to be twenty nine that year in fact. In just less than two months. She was a wolf, yes, but she was not like Alex and never aging. No, she couldn't get that lucky. "How old are you?" :::
Alex Vipond: Alex paused and contemplated a moment, one brow rising up. "I just turned seven hundred and ... seventeen." It was pretty bad when you miss your own birthday. Then again, he'd not actually celebrated such in almost seven centuries. "Huh." He shrugged and moved to regard a Skynnrd t-shirt that yes, was too big but the baby would grow into it.
InkedPr1ncess: "See, now you got the idea of it. Far as clothes go, that's almost just whatever you want to get. Some stuff the babies can always need and then you find stuff like that that's just awesome." Seven hundred and seventeen? She believed it, it was just shocking to her because if she didn't know any better, she would say he was no older than early twenties. "You're doing good at this though." :::
Alex Vipond: "I'll come back when Meghan can come too, but I wanted an idea, you know, so I didn't look like a complete lost asshole." He smirked. "Now I can impress her with my drawn up battle plan and knowledge." He nodded. "At the very least, Jake and Shay will have a good start on the baby stuff."
InkedPr1ncess: "Make sure I get some credit for this. I doubt Meghan is going to believe that you did this all on your own. But hey, if anyone can convince her, you can." He did have the basics down pat and between him and his wife, she was sure that Jake and Shay would get a nice assortment of gifts. :::
Alex Vipond: "She'd know if I tried to bullshit her." He smirked, "Can't keep anything from her. Even without the bond she'd see it in my face." Try keeping a surprise from your wife. It took constant concentration to not let it slip. Like the trip to the lake house. He had managed to surprise her with that one.
InkedPr1ncess: "Meghan is a smart girl, I knew it. You might be older than us, but these women around you can still outsmart you sometimes." Anything else somewhat little she would show him so he could make note of, but she thought by then he knew what he was doing. "You want to go get a coffee or something? How I wish you could share these chocolates with me, Alex, they're heavenly." :::
Alex Vipond: "Of that I have no doubt." Alex chuckled, and then nodded to the coffee. "Coffee sounds good, and I will take your word on the chocolate, though I could get some for Meghan and find out for myself." He chuckled as he started scrolling through the photos he'd taken, making notes on some things that he wanted in particular.
InkedPr1ncess: "You're a perv, you know that, right? I mean, if you mean what I think you mean." Just to have a laugh as they ventured towards the nearest coffee shop to get something to drink. :::
Alex Vipond: "Well that would depend on what you think I mean." He laughed as they made their way to Starbucks. The smell alone was enough to make his mouth water. He'd really grown rather fond of the drink. Stil hadn't worked up the nerve to try and eat anything but ... one day, maybe. At home. Where if he hurled it would at least be in private.
InkedPr1ncess: She just gave him one of those stern looks that turned into a grin and the Starbucks was a little busy but nothing where they'd have to fight for a spot. She ordered her usual, green tea Frappuccino with raspberry syrup and would take care of whatever Alex wanted. It did make her curious though, how he was able to drink and not eat, but she didn't ask because it almost seemed offensive. :::
Alex Vipond: He'd actually not tried in... well, centuries. He'd been trying to avoid what he was, had not been feeding properly, and had in fact tried to eat real food. It came back, in a manner reminiscent of Mount St Helens, and with it came up what blood he'd consumed. He'd not tried since. It wasn't until after he and Meghan married that he'd tried drinking booze, which he'd actually not been able to consume as a human. Allergies. Not pretty. Alex got his coffee, straight up, like his booze, and then gave a slight breath into the lid as if that really helped to cool things down.
InkedPr1ncess: Once they were seated at a table and she watched him trying to cool the coffee down, she thought it would be handy to bring up something that she had wanted to tell him. "I put in a call to Sasha yesterday, had to leave a voicemail but I asked if she could call me back. That way we could see what to do about bringing the pack together." :::
Alex Vipond: "Cool. I know she's busy. Robbery/Homicide doesn't exactly take vacations." What she was currently working on, he didn't know. He didn't ask. It wasn't something she would be able to openly discuss if it was an active case, or one going to trial anyway so there wasn't much point in asking. "Yeah, something needs to be done. All I can say is I will be there when you guys need me."
InkedPr1ncess: "I honestly don't even know how many pack members we have. But it's useless to have a pack unless there's someone to control it. I'm hoping Sasha can help. And I know it makes a lot of people feel better that you're around, Alex. I appreciate it, even outside the offer." :::
Alex Vipond: "Off the top of my head...." Mars, and Sasha, Leland, Abby... he wasn't sure about TC, but there was Sedona and the band, but had they joined the pack? RJ, even though he wasn't a Lycan, he was a jackal and they'd more or less adopted him. "I'd say possibly close to ten. Maybe. Depends. Not sure how many just hang and how many are actual pack." He shrugged and took a sip of his coffee, managing to do so without burning his lips.
InkedPr1ncess: "Here's to hoping it all works out for the best, right?" She held up her plastic cup in a mock toast and then went back to drinking. Her bags were at her feet and she was just relaxing, seemed like she had been out longer than she had. "I was kind of hoping there wouldn't be any problems in Seattle this time around, but this feels to me like a problem." :::
Alex Vipond: "I don't know, I'm hoping not. Hell for all I know he could be cooling his heels in some Mexicali jail cell." Why he didn't know but a big man with a temper... could happen. And over the border would explain the lack of phone call.
InkedPr1ncess: "I have no idea. The Mars I remember wouldn't skip out on his pack, but I don't know much about him anymore." With everything that had happened to him, who knew? But with a fiancee in the wings, hopefully that was not the excuse. ::
Alex Vipond: "I don't know. He hasn't seemed quite right for a while." Alex scowled. "It's like he forgot all of what went on before. And even after he got it back, it's like.... the pieces weren't put back in the right order or some shit." It was the best he could explain it. "It's like he's going through the motions, but he's not entirely sure why."
InkedPr1ncess: "It feels like it. When I first saw him again, he knew me but he was like, standoffish. If that makes any sense. We talked since then but I never wanted him to feel any ill will to me. It has to be something wrong, because if it isn't? Mars really does need his ass handed to him." :::
Alex Vipond: "I don't know." Alex shook his head trying to fathom it out, and failing. "I know Lydia fucked him over, hard. And I don't know what she did to 'undo' it. I wasn't there, and she's nowhere to be found now, and I doubt she'll ever show her face in Seattle again."
InkedPr1ncess: "Probably best she doesn't. Whatever she did obviously wasn't all the way undone. Now it's like a waiting game.' She didn't know much else to say on it, taking a trip down memory lane was a dangerous game, one that she did not feel playing anymore. :::
Alex Vipond: Suffice it to say, none of them had any pleasant experiences with Lydia and her off spring. It was for the better, all around that the pair had left the city. For all Alex knew, the council had gotten hold of the pair and done them in. It wouldn't be the first time. "I do believe that were she to show up, there would be a few being, most would want to torture the bitch. Alex would just rather see her and her spawn turned to ash as swiftly as possible.
InkedPr1ncess: "Let's hope nothing like that happens. I think though that all of us need to work together. Especialy the ones that know Mars, and his brother. If we have to go on without them, that sucks, but we do what we need to do, right?" :::
Alex Vipond: "Well it beats the alternative, so yes. In the meantime, while you girls get the pack under control, I'll see what I can find out. I have a few contacts that Sasha doesn't have access to..." He shrugged. One made some very useful acquaintances when one lived long enough.
InkedPr1ncess: That she agreed with, and when she finished off the last of her drink, she looked at it wistfully. Like she should have ordered a bigger size. "Okay, so I've been thinking about this, and if I'm nosy, tell me. But like, you can drink stuff but not eat. How is that possible?"
Alex Vipond: "Damned if I know. I didn't realize until recently that I could drink. The one time I tried to eat was.... a very long time ago and it didn't end well...." he paused, contemplating that. "Then again, I was kind of... trying to wean myself at the time. I wonder if that had anything to do with it." He scowled, and then shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe one day I'll get froggy again and give it another go."
InkedPr1ncess: "I wouldn't recommend it if you've just...uh, fed, I guess. That's probably where you went wrong, if you did. You should...let me help you. I wouldn't mind that. No harm in trying, right? I mean, maybe if you can drink, you could eat." Of course, it al depended on what it was too. :::
Alex Vipond: "Might be worth a shot. I could ask around, I don't know every vvv...." and he stopped and looked around before looking back at her. "I don't know everyone from France, but there may be some out there who could tell me, one way or the other."

ChildoftheMoiria: David slipped through the crowd on the upper level. Faded jeans and a tee shirt with the batman logo on the chest where the attire for the afternoon. A HUGE difference from work were he showed up in khakis and a polo shirt. He had only been gone from the office for maybe two hours. Long enough to get home change and hit the mall for some shopping. A few bags were in hand a few things he needed.. ok so wanted more than needed. The bags in one hand he was walking with his eyes planted on his phone. Somehow he seemed to just know when and what direction he needed to turn to avoid people.. all without looking up from his phone. -d
KrystalFlake: Krystal was leaning on the rail on the upper floor drinking a pina colada from Orange Julius. She loved these things and couldn't go to the mall without picking one up. She was in a blue and white dress that had an empire waist tied with a white ribbon and almost suspender like straps. Her sunglasses were pushed up on the top of her head at the moment so it was plain to see where she was looking. Catching site of her employee she didn't call out to him, but instead watched how he weaved around people without looking up. Curious. He must have excellent peripheral vision to be doing that. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David finished the text he was working on and tapped the send key with a shake of his head. He kept his eyes on his phone for a few seconds after. One big difference was David was not wearing his gloves at the moment. Not that he did not have them with him. Nope they were sitting in his pockets in case he had to use them. After that few seconds he gave a shake of his head as if the motion would free up some space by discarding what ever was on his mind. He slipped the phone into his pocket and glanced up just after he turned to avoid a woman pushing a stroller. The movement put Krystal into his field of vision. A slight smile formed as he noted he was being watched. A hand lifted to wave as he continued on in her direction. Once he closed to a more conversational distance he would speak. "Hey Boss Lady, out getting your fix on mall rats to realize why it's a bad idea to have kids?" the comment ment mostly as a joke though well David did find the swarms of teens almost annoying as the mall cops. -d
KrystalFlake: She smiled when he waved and nodded her head to him. When he was close enough to talk she raised a brow at him with the comment on kids. "I have a son who's being raised by his two fathers." Yeah go ahead and let him puzzle that one out for a minute. She didn't mind teenagers most of the time, but sometime they were a royal pain in the ass. Sipping from the straw she glanced down at the bag in his hand, but mostly she was looking at the fact that he wasn't wearing any gloves at the moment. "What brings you out to the mall this evening? Looking for beauty items?" [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David kept moving to the railing that Krystal was posted up on. When he arrived there he lowered the bags to set on the floor and leaned on the railing. David laughed when Krystal mentioned having a kid being raised by two fathers. he barely blinked really. Things happened and he knew a few closeted people still in the forces. His ability to read minds had him privy to all kinds of shit going on in people's minds. "That is cool, hope I did not offend you. I was just making a joke." There was no implication in his voice that she was or was not.. he just wanted to keep the air clear. People tended to bite when they felt attacked and it was the last thing he wanted. He caught the glance down to the bags and laughed. "I needed some tee shirts and there is a collectors shop here in the mall. I.. well I picked up a light saber for my Jedi costume." Yup nerd points there for sure. -d
KrystalFlake: Waving a hand she dismissed the whole thing. She hadn't seen her son in years and while she wished she had gotten to spend more time with him, it just hadn't been in the cards. "You are fine. I haven't seen him in a long time." Gripping the straw she stirred up the inside of the cup and looked down at the people below. When he mentioned the light saber she paused in what she was doing in stirring the straw and looked at him. Well, he was a geek, but honestly he was a little on the good looking side to be dressing up.. Okay so she had no clue about people that dressed up at conventions except most of them were not attractive or maybe that was just the internet memes. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David caught the look and laughed and shook his head. The fact was he got similar looks from people all the time in the tiny shops he visited for things of that kind. David though found long ago he could play the role of chameleon a social chameleon. "Yeah I know I don't look like a four hundred pound guy who lives in his moms basement." David continued to laugh through the comment. "If it helps a lot of them look at me the same way. I just go to have fun and it can be a blast..." -d
KrystalFlake: "Well, at least there are plenty of Princesses who are half clothed and looking for a comicon hook up?" She finished the last bit of what was in the cup and tossed it into the trash that wasn't that far away. "I suppose I should have expected it. There's always one in the IT bunch." She pat his bicep as she walked past him so that she could get away from the rail. Now that she was done with her drink she could move on again. "I was wondering if you wanted to help me out with another job. Pay is better than at the studio." [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: He had caught the dismissal of his comment on Krystals son. He took it to heart and avoided mentioning it again. Krystal had given him that look twice now. Once when she admitted he did not look the part of an IT geek and just a moment ago when she found out about the light saber. "I told you that you would see my inner nerd in time." He turned as Krystal tossed the cup in the trash. "That's me I guess.. the guy who can move between worlds." He began to move with her as she started to walk. The mention of more work caused a grin. "I don't know about the princess thing. I am more the Red Sonja kind of guy...." Yup racking up the nerd points. The mention of more work shut him up though. "Yeah, I'm always game for some extra cash.. what is the work though? It's not that jerky fetish film is it?" -d
KrystalFlake: "No, sorry to disappoint you. No jerky fetish film. You would be helping me run wiring, set up a security system and think you can manage to load up a POS system?" Sure it was a little different than what he was doing, but you know if he could manage security surely he could handle POS. "It's been a hassel from the get go on trying to get things run. It's a conversion of an old factory building into some kind of shops." She hadn't really been much on what was going on in there. She just knew what he had been asking for and she wasn't an interior decorator worried about how the place looked and for what it's purpose was. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: Work helped David because when he was working it gave him that extra bit of focus on something other than his own problems. He turned back a few steps and snatched up his bags. A quick rush brought him back even with Krystal. "Almost forgot these..." He laughed as he found out it was not the food fetish film. "Well damn still no work in the porn industry." He quipped before listening to what it was she was looking for. He was nodding before she was able to finish. "I can get it done. It may take me a little time but there is not much I can't do with computers. If I can program a bomb disposal robot then I can do a POS. Do you know what kind of shops?" Hey he was nosey enough to ask more questions. -d
KrystalFlake: "I know some people in Vegas if you are really that interested in it." She glanced to the side at him with a brow slightly raised up. I mean he didn't seem like the porn type either, but you never could be too sure. "I think some kind of comic shop. Figures and things like that. I'm not sure of all of it. Only seen the drawings that they have for it." She shrugged her shoulder and turned toward a shop to see if he was actually following. Walking into the Wet Seal store she lingered at the first few racks by the entrance. After he had just revealed his inner nerd he would probably throw himself into this job just to see what it looked like when it was done. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: Ok so Krystal took the comment serious and that alone had David laughing and shaking his head. "No it was a joke. I don't think I could do the be hard right now aspect of it." Yeah he knew what it took to do the movies like that. You had to be able to do alot of things on demand. When the topic turned back to work he stopped walking for a moment to try and judge if she was serious or not. "Hell yeah I can help with that, anything they want and can afford." moved to catch up to Krystal, well the few steps he lost. She was right in the fact he would throw himself in for a chance to be one of the first to see it all rolling out. Yup he was following along and right into the store. He was lost or seemed to be lost in thought for a moment before nodding to one of the last garments Krystal touched on the rack. "That would look good on you.. just saying."-d
KrystalFlake: Krystal held up the shirt against herself and turned toward a mirror, tilting her head this way and then that way she kept it hooked on her finger as she wandered through the shop. "I don't know how most porn stars can do the whole get it hard now without taking some kind of viagra or something." Hard on command just seemed like work. She rolled a shoulder in a shrug. Okay she had Viagra finger tips but she wasn't going to share that information with him. "The job will start next week and we can take our time. The contractors working on it are slow as shit." [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "Don't know I always need inspiration for it to happen. I guess you need a magic dick." David gave a roll of his own shoulders along with the comment. He moved to the side a moment before one of the patrons rounded a rack and would have ran into him. He turned his attention briefly to the woman who almost ran into him before turning his focus back to Krystal and nodding his head. He was quiet for a moment before speaking. "If the client is willing you could hire me out to him as an oversight person too. I'm sure I could help motivate the contractors to keep to his dead lines. That much would not be a lot different than the duties I was pulling for the Army." Plus it could mean a little extra cash in Krystal's pocket to boot,-d
KrystalFlake: "Or magic fingers.." She wiggled her fingers at him with a laugh and grabbed a pair of leggings from another display. Looking at him thoughtfully she didn't say anything as she headed to the dressing room. Just before going in the dressing room though. "I'm not sure you want to tangle with this crowd for that kind of work. Trust me, you are way too nice to be making these guys stick to deadlines. Besides they will keep you plenty busy with changes." She walked into the dressing room and don't worry she'd keep talking through the door no problem. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David laughed and grinned at the comment of magic hands. He opened his mouth to comment but closed it again not sure if the comment would be a little to much information. As the topic flowed back to the contractors he laughed. "You are the boss. They cause more problems than I can handle then I will chick it up the chain." Not to mention if they fucked with him to much he was not above returning the damn favor. He was laid back.. but pushed into a corner he would push back. He just did not care for the shoot first method-d
Alex Vipond: Alex's fingers were laced with Meghan's they wandered through the mall. He had his photo list of items to look at from the previous trip with. "I have come to the conclusion that I don't think I have the patience to be a father. A godfather, sure, an uncle even. Not a father." He shook his head, and gave her hand a squeaze. "I just don't know that I could do it."
Make Me MentaI: Meghan walked along with Alex, hand in his, and fingers laced. "I don't know about that. You seem to do pretty good at times." she replied. "But maybe one day we'll know for sure." she added and glanced to give him a smile. [d]
NightotheAngel: After everything today she just wanted to clear her head. And she really didn't want to be under the hood of a car. She needed a new place and figured that the mall would be a better option then the park. She had called Javin and told him where to meet her as she comes out of Victoria Secrets with a medium sized bag in hand. She needed a few things before ducking into the Old Navy to see what they had going on and if anything caught her eye.::
KrystalFlake: Krystal walked out of the changing room back into the dress that she had been wearing. Fastest clothes try on and change! But then she wasn't really into lingering in dressing rooms. "That works for me. I mean they shouldn't cause you any issues." heading over to the register she put her purchase on the counter and waited to be checked out. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: David played the role of the patient guy waiting. He had expected Krystal to be in there much longer. When she came out rather quickly he did not bother to hide the little bit of surprise in his eyes. He followed along behind her nodding his head. "No more than normal. The fact I look like I do keeps most people who like to pick on the IT guy at bay.. I think it confuses their little brains." -d
Alex Vipond: "Look at it this way, we get to shop for ours." he smiled, drawing her hand up and pressing a kiss to the back of it before letting their hands drop between them again. A few looks were sent their way but surprisingly enough, the 'home town' locals didn't mob him. It was the tourists who happened to see him that tended to do so. And yes, he was still slightly traumatized over the bathroom incident in 2004. Who wouldn't be? "Anything you want to look at other than the baby stuff?"
Make Me MentaI: "Yeah, we will." she replied with a chuckle. The kiss to the hand caused her to smile a bit wide. When a few people started following them, and a couple pictures were taken with phone cameras, Meghan just continued forward with her husband. No, she wasn't being rude, but she wasn't going to fall into that image of famous wife of a rock star either. She gave a nod or maybe a smile and a small wave and carried on. To her, Alex was just like any other person, only special and gifted. The fact he had chose her? She'd never understand but simply accepted. "Hmmm... maybe Hot Topic?" she replied. [d]
Alex Vipond: He paused and looked around, then gestured. "There we go." And then he was changing direction, heading that way.
KrystalFlake: "It must be a terrible burden to be pretty." She gave him a sympathetic pout of her lips as she paid for her items and picked up the bag as it was handed over. Making her way out of Wet Seal she headed toward the escalator to go back downstairs. "And trust me these guys don't do much thinking for a living. It's like having a pack of rabid dogs. The people doing the actual work are mostly day labor and the architect they hired is something of a tool. I just stay out of their way and do my job. I try not to talk to them much." [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "Ah got ya the monkey fucking a football crowd." David replied as he walked with her from the store. A beeping in his pocket had him pulling his phone from inside. He flipped it to view the screen quickly before tapping the reject call icon and stuffed the thing away again. "I will keep out of their way then. All in all it sounds like a blast and should be fun to see it come to life." -d
Make Me MentaI: Meghan walked with him and they were soon standing outside Hot Topic, looking at one of the window displays. Meghan pointed at a couple things she liked but wasn't sure how it would fit or look on her. "Maybe after another store or two, we can head to the foodcourt. I've a craving for one of those big pretzels with cheese." [d]
Alex Vipond: Leading Meghan into Hot Topic, eyeing the clothes, the body jewelry, the.... "What the fuck is that?" One brow rose as he leaned toward the counter, eyeing the display, before he relaxed and leaned back. "Thought it was a cock ring for a moment, but it's for ears." Hey, it was hard to tell these days, the way people put things in odd places. "Oooh, that sounds interesting..." he smiled and waggled his brows at her. Yes, he was developing a food fetish.
NightotheAngel: Kalypso left Old Navy as she came out and started looking for a place to get her ears pierced. Not that it mattered where just what she had done. She found one of those places in the middle of the mall. She looked at the jewlery in the case to see what kind of studs they had. Thinking for a minute. As she looked over the case. Not sure what she wanted to get at the moment. there were so many options.::
FlawIess Energy: Avary had been back in town now for right at a week and tonight, she thought a trip to the mall could maybe lift her spirits a bit. She had gotten a call earlier about a friend and normally, she just hole herself up in her apartment and watch tv while vegging out. But then she would be able to meet any new people that way. Which was something she enjoyed. She thought about calling TC, but she wasn't sure if a mall would be some place he'd want to hang out at. Didn't seem like his kind of thing to do. And Ian? She hadn't heard or seen from him in a while now. Maybe she should give him a call just to catch up and see how he was doing. It was something she pondered on as she passed by, back stepped and then looked at shoes on the display racks. [d]
KrystalFlake: Monkey fucking a football? That just sounded odd. David was a little bit of an odd duck she was coming to learn. "Well, since you seem to be in to that kind of thing I am sure you will enjoy it then. I mean maybe while we are fine tuning everything he can reward you with a bat signal or something." Yeah well he was the one wearing a Batman shirt! Food fetish.. pretzel and cheese and then later fruit roll ups again? [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: "Now that would be awesome.. my neighbors would fucking hate me. I would have that shit on every night." He laughed as he made the bold statement. As it was his neighbors thought he was a strange duck. Yup he was sporting a batman shirt today. -d
Make Me MentaI: Meghan walked in with him and as they neared something that caught his eyes, it wasn't for the reasons she might thing. His questioning had her laughing before she nodded and grinned. She led him over to where the band tee shirts were and began to go through a few. None really catching her eyes. But then she smirked and saw something else to tease Alex with. One of those Sparkly Vampire tees. She had her back to him, but held the shirt up against her, then turned. "Honey? What do you think?" She was trying her best to look very serious. How long it would last? depend on his reaction. And yes, food fetish. Fruit roll ups again? Most likely. [d]
Alex Vipond: Turning, he smirked and shook his head. "I only sparkle at night." Usually with the help of stage lights. His smirk turned into a full grown grin and he laughed. "What about this?" He lifted and held it out. It was a simple tee with a kitten on it. Yes, he was starting a cat collection. Blame Thumpy.
NightotheAngel: It seemed Javin had a late practice tonight or something else going on. She moved toward claires as she went to speak with them about the cost of getting her ears pierced there. Looking over their choices in studs. She finally found a pair of spiked rainbow earrings that looked a little bit fun to wear. She paid for them as she took them to Claires piercer. She was in luck that the piercer happened to be there. She just wasnt sure what her next set of earrings would be for when the time came to change them.::
FlawIess Energy: Avary moved inside to the store, shoes were something a girl could never have to much of. The small slender southern belle began to browse the sneakers, particularly the running shoes. [d]
Make Me MentaI: "Well, yes.... I know that..." she replied with a chuckle. The shirt was folded and placed back before she turned to see the kitten shirt. "Don't you have enough kitties?" she asked with a grin. [d]
KrystalFlake: Boys and their toys. They all had something that they wanted to play with. Sometimes it was attached and sometimes it wasn't. "I am sure your neighbors will be pleased to see that the Dark Knight is on duty when you flash that light out your window." Laughing she pointed at the food court. "Come on I want to grab something to drink before going downstairs." [d]
Alex Vipond: He leaned in and kissed her, "One can never have too many kitties." He moved through the stacks, looking for something to jump out of him that he wanted to see Meghan in. Or out of....
ChildoftheMoiria: Hey not all the best toys needed a wall plug. David just laughed at the mention of his neighbors. He followed the line of sight along her pointing finger. A slight pause before he rolled his shoulders. "Why not.." The most crowded part of any mall was the food court. It was the reason he avoided more often than not. This time though he followed along glancing around. "Time for another cup from Orange Julius?" Ok so he had kept quiet long enough having seen the wings a few times. "And I have to ask.. who the hell did those wings. That is some of the best work I have ever seen..." -d
Make Me MentaI: Meghan chuckled and she leaned in to that kiss. "I don't know about that. I would think one is enough." she teased. While he moved through the stacks, Meghan neared the accessories. [d]
FlawIess Energy: Avary had decided on a pair of shoes, had purchased them and was exiting The Rack Room and heading for Bath & Body Works. Smell goods. Every girl had to have some. [d]
KrystalFlake: As they walked around so that they could get to the food court she laughed at the question about the wings on her back. "An old friend of the family. It was the last large piece he did before moving on to other things." Not really a lie though it wasn't the exact truth either. "I've had them since after I had my son. They were a gift." Yeah that they were. One that she couldn't give back. Damn it all to hell.... literally. "Nah, maybe just a bottle or water or something. Not really sure." [d]
NightotheAngel: Kalypso paid for the earrings as she listened to how to take care of them and for how long. She nodded politely as she exited and slipped the claires bag into the victoria secret bag. She may have to return to do a little shoe shopping. She had yet to check on to see if she needed a new pair of running shoes. As her stomach growled she headed in the direction of the food court Thinking a corndog sounded real good about now.::
Alex Vipond: "Aerosmith...." he lifted the t-shirt and showed her as she stepped away to look at the add ons. "Find anything good?" Moving after her, he stood next to her to eye the wares. "Whatcha looking at?"
ChildoftheMoiria: "Damn nice gift to bad your family friend moved on. Don't take this wrong but maybe I could see the full work some time?" Hey you never knew the answer if you did not ask right? David glanced around as they waded into the crowd. He began to do the dodge thing again moving out of people's way while keeping the bulk of his attention on Krystal. His awareness up and his shields lowering just enough to manage to move out of most of the people's way.. there was the random dead zone or two in the crowded space though. -d
Make Me MentaI: "Mmmm... nothing really..." she replied before plucking up a pair of colored hair extensions. Turning to the mirror to hold them up against her hair to see if she'd like them or not. Normally she went with red, it was Alex's favorite color, but then these were blue. Brought out the blue in her eyes really. She glanced to him as he held up the shirt and she gave a thumbs up with a grin. [d]
FlawIess Energy: Avary bought a couple sets of lotion with body spray. And a candle or two before she was exiting the store. She had a big lunch, but she was hungry now and rather than eat another big meal, she thought maybe just getting a little something to tie her over until morning. With purchases in hand, she started for the food court, thinking what she wanted along the way. [d]
KrystalFlake: "I don't mind. I'll have to wear something that makes it easy for you to see it. Currently this dress isn't going to work." Smiling she surveyed the places in the food court to see if she wanted to grab something from any place in particular. "I've been told it looks almost too real to be a tattoo." Well, that's cause it really wasn't a tattoo and tey were real, but hey coming right out and saying that would have just made people think you were crazy right? [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: Yeah tell him they were real and he would be lumping his boss in with the other person who thought she was a wolf. David was sure that person BELIEVED they were a wolf.. and that kind of worried him. The backside of mental illness was a horrable thing. "Well I may not mind the view if you tried it in that dress.. there are laws against running around nude though.. the prudes." David offered with a little bit of laughter. His phone chimed again to show he had a message coming in. "I should take this, it's my family...Maybe we can meet again tomorrow or this weekend to talk shop?" -d
KrystalFlake: "Works for me. I'm just going to grab a bottle of overpriced water and head out. I'll give you more details after I call them and find out." She lifted a hand to wave so that he could take the call and headed off to get her water and go home. [d]
NightotheAngel: Kalypso was next in line. Since most people wanted the typical chinese food or pizza or something. the lines were long but for her the line for hot dogs and things was moving. She first thought she wanted a corndog but then changed her mind at the last minute for a pretzel dog instead. that sounded better like it would sedate her hunger. She had her bags in hand as she took her food and paid for it and headed back into the mall. As she window shops for awhile while she ate.::
Alex Vipond: "Nice." he nodded, his hand brushing along her waist as he slipped past her to look at something else. "Hey look, these extensions have lights. You can sparkle too." he chuckled, and held them out to show her.
ChildoftheMoiria: David nodded his agreement to Krystal and moved off pulling his phone from his pocket. He headed into a hall leading to a maintance hall to take the call from his father. -d
FlawIess Energy: Avary moved to stand in line to a place where it was mostly subs, salads and fries. She was pulling her wallet out when her phone dropped and she stooped down to pick it up. Then straightened before it was her time to step up and place an order. Order was made and with her purchases, her chili cheese fries and a coke, moved to sit at one of the tables. [d]
Make Me MentaI: Meghan smiled to Alex. "You think so?" she asked with a perk of her head. "I might get these then..." it came in a set. When Alex held up the other extensions with... lights? she chuckled. "I suppose I could before she accepted them and looked them over. A shake of head was made as she laughed. "I don't know where I will wear these to, but got to get them as well." she added. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Be great for a party." Alex chuckled, "Or a concert." They lighted ones came in four different colors, fiberoptic from the look of them, but he didn't open the box. "What do you think?"
Make Me MentaI: "To bad I didn't have these for Bren's party the other night." she said with a light laugh. "OOOoo hey... concert!" she squealed. "Definitely concert material." she added with an excited nod. "Yup, getting the blue ones here and these since you picked them out." she added. "Lets go pay for them and then maybe get a bite to eat?" Waggling her brows. She was teasing him of course. That kind of bite would have to wait until they got home. [d]
NightotheAngel: Kalypso called a cab as she finished her pretzel dog. Although she was debating on going to famous footwear. She knew she had a few minutes before the cab would be there but she didnt want to be late. So her needing to be on time won out instead as she headed toward the nearest exit.::
FlawIess Energy: Avary sat quietly at her table, enjoying the basket of chili cheese fries and her coke. She glanced down at her bags of purchases and then pulled her phone from her pocket. She debated for a long moment and decided to send a text message to a new friend. [d]
ChildoftheMoiria: Well David came out of the hall and looked around the court quickly. The press of people in the space had his skin wanting to crawl. He turned and headed back away from the food cart. A slice of pizza and a coke sounded good.. but neither was worth the effort of remaining in the food court. His eyes fell back to his phone and as soon as he cleared the thickest part of the crowd. He plugged in a set of ear buds and turned up the music to help push the voices back. Much like when Krystal saw him ealier he weaved through the people without seeming to look up from his phone. -d
Alex Vipond: Laughing, he nodded. "Let's." With his arm around her, he headed for the counter, one hand reaching for his wallet as he nuzzled her temple. He pulled his card out and offered it to the clerk as the purchase was rang up.

Picking up where the previous log left off:
Alex Vipond: Laughing, he nodded. "Let's." With his arm around her, he headed for the counter, one hand reaching for his wallet as he nuzzled her temple. He pulled his card out and offered it to the clerk as the purchase was rung up.
FlawIess Energy: Avary's phone went off, signaling a returned text and after finishing off her chili cheese fries, she licked her fingers clean and then wiped them dry on a napkin before she was reaching for the phone. With the reply, she chuckled to herself and moved to a stand. Garbage was gathered and with both purchases and drink in hand, Avary made her way out to the cruiser. A glance up and she frowned, maybe the rain would hold off until she got home. [d]
Meghan Vipond: Meghan smiled and moved with him. Once they reached the counter and paid for the items, she would lead him out and head for the food court. "What sounds good? Pretzels with cheese? Or... have you something else in mind?" [d]
Alex Vipond: "I want to try that." he nodded and slipped his arm over her shoulders, drawing her close and walking from the store with her. He had to try and curb his enthusiasm for food, lest it seem odd, but he was excited. He'd learned something about himself, and it started with Jell-O.
Meghan Vipond: "You want to try the pretzel with cheese?" she asked with an arch of brow. Then looked around to see if he was looking at something else in particular. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Yeah, the pretzel. You see people in New York with these things all the time. They sell them on street corners and they always look so good, and smell so good." His mouth was actually watering at the prospect.
Meghan Vipond: "You can get them with something else besides just cheese to. They have these different dipping sauces. One is cheese, one is icing, one is like this.... sweet mustard sauce, then there is ranch of course." she replied. "And you can maybe try coke or tea or lemonade." she offered. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Ranch...." Alex was all for that, he'd not tried it yet. "With lemonade." He nodded as they approached, a smile given the counter person, and then he looked at Meghan. "And what do you want? Cheese, no cheese, dipping sauce, drink...." Food. It was fucking amazing.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan chuckled and nodded. "Okay, so you want a giant pretzel with ranch, and a lemonade. "i want a big pretzel with cheese. And a coke." she added as she looked from Alex to the counter worker. She looked back to Alex then. "I hope your taste buds don't overload..." with his tasting what he actually ate, and then tasting what Meghan ate? can't always be a good combination. [d]
Alex Vipond: Well, they'd just have to alternate. Or he'd have to block. If he focused enough he may well be able to do so, the whole Zen Buddhist thing. Be one with the food; focus only on the food.... He could do that, right? "We'll find out, won't we?" He chuckled and paid for the order and when it was handed over, he took up the tray and wandered for a table there in the food court, that other arm around Meghan's shoulders once more.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan nodded and chuckled. "If you make any kind of unusual facial expressions, I'll know why." she replied with a chuckle. She moved with Alex over toward a table and took a seat after sitting their purchase aside. For his sake, Meghan hoped he was able to focus on just what he was eating.... otherwise he was about to have one pretty jacked up experience. [d]
Alex Vipond: If worse came to worst, he'd just alternate his bites with hers. Settling down, he took a moment, eyes closing, as he focused on his food. One watching might get the impression he was praying, which... actually he hadn't thought of. Too intent on the task at hand, was he to consider such, though it might occur to him later to offer up a silent thanks. He tore off a piece and tried, just the bit of pretzel first, chewing slowly as he regarded Meghan across the table.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan sat across from him and watched as he focused. She would tear a piece of her own pretzel off and dipped it in the cheese. She waited for a moment and then popped it into her mouth. As she chewed, she regarded him for a moment as if asking if he felt okay. She was still a little worried he would have one of those 'episodes'.[d]
Alex Vipond: He smiled at her as she regarded him, and gave her a thumbs up, before tearing another piece off and dipping it into the ranch. "This is good shit." He nodded, then took up the lemonade and took a sip.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan chuckled after breathing a sigh of relief. So far, so good. She then nodded in agreement when he said this was good stuff. "Its one of my favorite foods." she replied. "Its bread... can't go wrong with a woman with bread..." she said with a chuckle and then reached for her coke, sipping a swallow or two. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Bread was always one of my favorites. The smell of it baking in the morning was enough to draw me from bed and into the kitchen. I would sneak down and cook would give me a loaf and I would take off out into the countryside." he smiled at the memory. "There was a boy, about my age, from a peasant family. We struck up a friendship and we would go fishing, and eat fresh baked bread." he tore off another piece and dipped it, then popped it into his mouth. "I can still smell the scents. The bread, the dew laden grass, the scent of the lake..."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan leaned forward and tore off another piece before dippingit in her cheese sauce and then popped it into her mouth. She chewed and nodded as she listened to Alex tell his story. "Awwww, that's so sweet." she replied. She could see Alex as being the giving sort. She saw it almost every day, so it was only natural that he'd be like that at a early age as well, right? "I wish I could travel back in time and see you as you were then." she said with a smile.[d
Alex Vipond: Laughing he shook his head. "I was a scrawny toe headed thing, that was entirely too curious for my own good." He shrugged. "I wanted to know everything. Matters of court held no appeal. Even then I was more of a people person." He contemplated that a moment as he ate. "And it was that which took me on my little journey that lead to Alea..." he nodded. "After that I wasn't much of a people person. Did my best to avoid them in fact."
Meghan Vipond: "Yeah, well, considering what she did, can't say that I blame you." She replied. She ate a bit more of her pretzel and cheese and then added. "I'd love to have worn the kind of dresses and gowns back then. And see you in the garb of that era." she said. "I bet it was interesting times. Ladies, Lords, Knights... had to be." she added. [d]
Alex Vipond: "It wasn't all it was cracked up to be." He chuckled. "Hose and tunics and leggings and boots. And way too many layers of clothing for women...." He smirked. "Though tossing a woman's skirts up was a lot easier than stripping her of her jeans, when in a hurry."
Meghan Vipond: "You are so bad...." she replied with a laugh. "Wasn’t doing that kind of thing dangerous as hell then? Like losing a limb or worse? Your head? Especially with some great Lord's daughter or something?" she asked. She sipped her coke again and put her chin in her hand with her elbow on the table. [d]
Alex Vipond: "It was all dependent upon who you were and who you were doing. Obviously you didn't want to be caught doing the king's mistress, but it was all very loose. People often knew, people suspected, but it was all very hush hush. Whispers and innuendo, but so long as it was not, by and large, flagrant, it was overlooked."
Meghan Vipond: "I probably wouldn't have had many suitors...I would have probably been a peasant." she replied. "But it still would be interesting." she added. Meghan finished off her pretzel and cheese before sipping more coke behind it. "Did you ever fall in love with anyone before me? I mean... when you were..you know, before Alea got to you?" she asked curiously. She had never heard him speak of past loves. Or exs really, with the one and only exception. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Peasant or noble born, you would have been very sought after." Tearing off another piece, he dipped and popped it into his mouth, chasing it with a sip of lemonade. When she posed her question, he chuckled and nodded. "Oh, I was very much in love once. She was a red head with freckles, and we bathed together." He nodded, smirking. "We were six."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan smiled. "You're just saying that to be sweet. Besides, I think you might be a bit biased." she teased. Meghan watched as he ate more of his pretzel. It was so weird seeing him eat food. And drink something besides booze. When he said he'd been in love once, with what followed, brows arched. "Six?! Alex... seriously? You were just a little boy..." She gave a shake of head. "I don't think a six year old's grasp the concept of that kind of love." She just couldn't see it. "Had you met me then.... and I'd have been of humble origin.... with you being noble, would it have been allowed?" she asked curiously. [d]
Alex Vipond: If she thought it was weird from her perspective, she should try it from his. It was bizarre and amazing and one of those things where he still expected to wake up and find he was dreaming it all. "No, but she made a mean mud pie, and could throw rocks like a boy. That was enough in my book to be smitten." He popped the last bite of his pretzel into his mouth and chewed, taking a swallow of his lemonade before he answered. "I may have had more leeway being as far down the ladder as it were, that I was, but any marriage I made would have been arranged none the less. Course, had I met you, I would have simply run away with you and we would have lived in some small village growing grapes or pigs."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan chuckled. "To each their own I guess?" Arms crossed over one another then as she leaned on the table some. Nodding as he answered her question. "But with being the King's cousin... wouldn't they have expected you to marry a noble lady?" she asked. "So you couldn't have had that much leeway. Or at least I wouldn't think so..." The remark about the running away and the grapes or pigs had her chuckle. "Grapes. Definitely grapes." [d]
Alex Vipond: "Grapes would be my preference, too." he nodded. "Though bacon does sound good." He finished off his lemonade, slurping up the last, and smiling. "I'm glad, in the end, that Alea stalked me. If she hadn't, I would be dust, long ago and I never would have met you." He smiled at her.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan nodded and smiled but with what followed, she smiled even more. He had suffered so much, but he was still grateful for it... because of her. That touched Meghan deeply. "I'm glad to. I can't really remember how things were before I met you, but I can't imagine my life without you now." she replied. She put her palms on the table and leaned heavily over half standing, and pressed a kiss to his lips. "I love you Alex Vipond. Always and forever." [d]
Alex Vipond: The kiss was returned as he leaned in, meeting her half way, one hand sliding into her hair, before he pressed his forehead to hers. "I love you too. Let's go home." He smiled and moved around the table, picking up her bags and slipping the other arm around her.
Meghan Vipond: She looked to him and smiled more and nodded before they were gathering their things and moving off to head out. Next destination? Home. [d]
Alex Vipond: Alex led her out and to the car, bags put in the back seat and her door opened for her. A kiss was given before he moved to the driver's side, and slid in. Leaning over, he kissed her once more. "Once the album is finished, maybe we need to take a vacation." He started the car and pulled from the lot, heading home.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan walked out with him and with his help, after the returned kiss, slipped into the passanger seat of his Benz. Once she settled in, he was leaning over for another kiss, to which she happily obliged. "A Vacation? Where to?" she asked with arched brows. [d]
Alex Vipond: "I don't know. Where you want to go?" He slipped his hand onto her thigh as he drove, watching the traffic as they made their way back toward home. "We could go anywhere you want to go."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan glanced to him and thought a moment. "I have the perfect place in mind she said. Looking as every bit as serious as she could. She waited when he asked where. "I think it would prove to be interesting, so my vote is Brazil." Meghan waited for a pinch or a love lick or something. She'd of course bust out laughing. [d]
Alex Vipond: Alex cracked up. "So you want to be mobbed by crazed fans, and held at gunpoint while I freak out over my Tak being in a holding pattern, somewhere over Cleveland." He nodded. "But.... it is beautiful country. Amazing, actually, so if you want to go...." he gave her thigh a squeeze. "We could. We would have to make it a working vacation, but it could be done."
Meghan Vipond: "I was kidding. Totally kidding. I just wanted to see the look on your face." she teased. Meghan started laughing again. More so when he gave that squeeze to her thigh. “Seriously though... I'm up for suggestions. I don't know that I want to go to Brazil." she added. "At least, not at the moment." [d]
Alex Vipond: "Okay." Yes he was slightly relieved. Not that he didn't like Brazil he did, loved the fans there, but he really didn't want his vacation dotted with security out the ass and the alternative... was not pleasant. "So that leaves us with the entire rest of the planet. Though I think we can rule out automatically any war torn areas," he nodded.
Meghan Vipond: "Yeah, definitely stay away from Brazil and war torn countries. ”So do you want to go to some place tropical, or to someplace cold? Or something maybe in between?" she asked. "Or we could do the smart thing... get a map, and throw a couple darts and see where they land?" she chuckled. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Tropical is good, we could hit the Bahamas or Fiji or the Caribbean. Or we could go to Australia. It's winter for them isn't it? All upside down and shit. I wonder how cold their winters are..." Yes he thought of these strange things at times. Or thought of these things at strange times. Take your pick. Alex slowed at the guard house, a smile and a wave given to the guard that waved them through.. When they got near the house, he hit the clicker for the garage and turned into the drive, slowing as the garage door rolled upward, and then pulling inside.
Meghan Vipond: "Australia?" she asked. "I'd love to go to Australia..." she added with a hint of excitement. When they reached the guard house, Meghan leaned up and gave a wave, then settled back. Once they reached the garage, she waited for him to put it in park and then with their one purchase, got out. She waited for him before heading in to the house. Let Alex take on Gus first. Always. June 2nd, 2013
InkedPr1ncess: It was a shopping trip that Bren didn't really need, but she decided to get out of the house anyway. She hadn't been at the studio that day so it wasn't like she was skipping out on Alex but she had texted him in case he was out if he wanted to come and have a coffee or something. Lucky for her Bath and Body wasn't too far from the coffee shop so she could wander around for a bit and smell all those delicious scents they had. It wasn't usually a man's store but that day there were a few milling around. ::::
Alex Vipond: Alex got the text and fired one back, a simple OMW, and then he left the studio, only to find his car blocked in: The hazards of street parking. Alex glanced around, and then moved toward the car that had backed up so far as to be mere inches from his front bumper. The truck behind him was offloading and didn't look to be moving any time soon. With no sign of a driver in sight, Alex gave another good long look around; then made his move. The ass end of the offending car was shifted onto the sidewalk, and Alex was sliding into his car as if nothing happened, and damned glad that traffic cams had yet to be installed on his street. As he pulled away from the curb, he called the cops to complain about the piss poor parking job the driver had done, all up on the sidewalk, in front of his business. Some people simply had no sense. It was some fifteen minutes later that he was walking into the mall, shades pulled from his face and planted on top of his head as he made his way to the Starbucks. She did say coffee, right?
InkedPr1ncess: By the time he made it, she was already sitting at a table, few bags at her feet with her purse on the table and she didn't look to be in any hurry. It was a silly thing maybe but she had gotten a gift for Meghan from the store and that was wrapped up in a bag all of its own. Since she hadn't seen her friend in a little while, Alex could always take it to her. That spare drawing pad came in handy; she was doodling away when she glanced up and noticed that familiar face. ::::
Alex Vipond: Spotting Bren, Alex smiled, hand lifted in greeting as he made his way to the counter to get his coffee. Once he had it in hand, he made his way to the table and sat down opposite her. He leaned back, one leg draping over the other as he stirred his coffee. "Find anything good?" He laid the stir stick aside and lifted the cup, blowing across the surface before taking a sip.
InkedPr1ncess: "I did, a little. This is for Meghan, if you wouldn't mind giving it to her for me." Inside was a plastic wrapped basket with a few different scents of spray, lotion and shower gel along with some candles. Hopefully she likes that sort of stuff. "And how are you today?" she asked, sipping at her own green tea Frappuccino which was delicious on its own. :::
Alex Vipond: "You don't want to give it to her yourself?" He took a sip of his coffee, then nodded. "Good, thanks. Paul is expecting to have the master done, probably tomorrow, Friday at the latest, but he's hoping to get it done before the fourth. Speaking of which, what do you and Logan have planned?"
InkedPr1ncess: "I wouldn't mind that but I don't want to just show up at your house randomly with gifts. Gus might think I'm a stalker. I just thought you would probably see her before I did considering you two live together." She was glad to hear that the music was coming along, she was thrilled that she got to work there and listen to the product before anyone else got to hear it. "Uh...I'm not sure, I don't have plans, not sure if he does or not. What's up?" :::
Alex Vipond: "I had this wild thought about gathering the herd, and taking the boat out to watch the fireworks. View from the water should be kick ass and if we gather early in the day, we won't have to buck traffic."
InkedPr1ncess: Now that sounded like fun, and she really hoped that Logan could come. But if he couldn't, she would probably still go just to hang out with the group. "I'll ask him, but that actually sounds like a lot of fun and I bet the view would be awesome. Might as well have everyone meet earlier, like you said, it would be a lot easier than waiting til evening and scrambling around." :::
Alex Vipond: "Exactly. Make a day of it. Food, fun, booze. Just so long as no one falls over, we're good." Fortunately the boat had an excellent crew. "You can swim, can't you? You know, just in case."
InkedPr1ncess: "Very well. Grew up in LA, too many places to swim. Hopefully if anyone goes overboard it isn't gonna be me." In all honesty, anyone that she would want to drown wouldn't be along for the trip anyway. "Now I'm pretty damn excited and I got a feeling that you don't just have a little pontoon boat, right?" :::
Alex Vipond: "No, she's a good size. Meghan and I sailed to Hawaii on Serenity for our wedding." Yes, he was a firefly fan. Get over it. "She's got everything we need, so no worries. Fully functioning." He nodded and took another sip of his coffee.
InkedPr1ncess: "Oh no, no worries from me, I think that sounds fabulous. Sometimes it's hard to believe but as much as I grew up with, none of my family ever got one." But hey, the fourth on a yacht if that was what it was sounded like heaven. "I do hope Logan can come, but if he's working, I'll just have to come by myself." :::
Alex Vipond: "That's good too." he nodded. She didn't have to bring him, but the invitation to do so was there. "And there's no conflicts with there being too much moonlight so the fireworks show should be fanfuckingtastic." Yeah, his way of saying no one would have to worry about being a little too furry.
InkedPr1ncess: "I'm glad you suggested it, it sounds awesome. And a good time for everyone to chill out and have a good time. Especially Sasha, she's a hell of a lot of fun when you can get her to let her hair down." :::
Alex Vipond: "Does her hair actually come down?" He’d never seen it any way but pulled up neat and tight. He presumed it to be a cop thing. So it wouldn't get in the way if she was chasing a perp down or something. He finished off his coffee and then looked around. Hopefully the asshole that had blocked him in was or had been, cited for parking on the damned walk. He kind of wished he could see the ass's face.
InkedPr1ncess: "It did, and she's gorgeous anyway but that night we went out? It was like a whole other Sasha...she needs more nights like that even if we did have too much to drink." Her own drink was finished off with the minimum amount of slurping up the rest in the cup and she tossed the empty in the nearby trash. "Okay, so what are you up to now?" :::
Alex Vipond: "I gotta see that." He chuckled and checked his phone. "Still five foot, ten. I stopped growing a long time ago." he smirked as he responded to a message and then slipped his phone back into his pocket. "But the rest of the day is mine. So... I'm wide open."
InkedPr1ncess: "It's too bad we can't find a few more people, or at least your wife. We should just do something stupid, act like kids. We are grownups all the time, why can't we have one night where we can be twelve?" Then she smiled, looking over at him as she picked up her bags. "Wait, weren't you twelve in the stone ages?" :::
Alex Vipond: "ha ha..." He gave her the look. The one you give your kid sister when she's being a facetious brat. Rising, he moved to toss his cup into the trash, then stretched and looked around. "There's gotta be something juvenile we can do. Paddle-boats or canoeing, or some shit."
InkedPr1ncess: "Don't give me that look. Or else I'll go hunt Solai down and tell her you want her to be the studio mascot." Not likely to happen, they had both thought that one was off the wall a little bit. But he had good ideas. "Let's do it, we need to find others to drag into our craziness." :::
Alex Vipond: "Do it and I'll ask Castiel to turn you into a kitten." He would to. Ask that is. Castiel would no doubt, give Alex a confused look. Pulling his phone he fired off a text message to Meghan, then Googled paddle-boats. "Here we go.... Green Lake Boat Rentals." Alex smiled and started for the exit. If we're lucky, the place won't be too crowded."
InkedPr1ncess: "Kitten? Hmm, since I'm not a cat person, I suppose if I were turned one, I'd use your pretty Mercedes as a giant litter box." Not really, she did like that car and he was her friend after all. "Meghan better come, or else a vampire and a wolf on a paddle-boat is going to be the beginning of one big assed joke." :::
Alex Vipond: "If you could get into it. You wouldn't have thumbs, remember..." never mind the height, or strength to open the door to get in. "I could see you leaving little paw prints all over it, however." He cracked up at the last part of her statement, a shake of his head given. "Follow me?"
InkedPr1ncess: "I think you should let me drive your car and you can drive mine. Come on, what would it hurt?" Damn, she was sure he wasn't going to let her but she had to at least try it, right? Meghan's bag was handed to him and she carried her others, ready to go out and carry on like a fool. :::
Alex Vipond: "Oh, no, no, no..." He shook his head, taking the bag offered as he pulled his shades back down over his face with the other hand. Turning as he back out through the door, he waggled a finger at her. "Nuh uh." He grinned, and turned, heading for the lot and his car.
InkedPr1ncess: "Gotta give a girl credit for trying. I bet if it was Meghan's, she would let me." She stuck her tongue out at him, purposely being childish, but it was all in fun and she had to walk around for a minute before she remembered where she had parked. :::
Alex Vipond: Smirking, he slid behind the wheel of his car and moved slowly along after her. She couldn't follow if he just up and left her now, could she? Ah, how much fun it would be to make her find his ass, but then he’d already said it was Green Lake. Wasn't like she couldn't Google it and find it, and him once there. He'd wait until she was in and ready to roll, before rolling from the lot toward Green Lake.

ChildoftheMoiria: David was waving through the crowds several shopping bags in hand. Faded blue jeans and a semi transparent mesh tee shirt along with his boots was the look of the day. As usual he was texting on his phone weaving his way through the crowded mall. That bubble up letting him know when he needed to turn to avoid running into people. It had been days from the news... enough time for David to at least semi pull his shit together and sober up. -d InkedPr1ncess: It would be good for Bren to see him, she had missed him and well...frankly she had been worried too. She sensed him close, either in tune with him or just paying attention to a friend, and she was sitting on a bench outside the candy store when she called out to him. Damn, the boy could multi-task like nobody's business, couldn't he? her hair was back in a ponytail and she was wearing some purple cargo shorts, black wife beater and sparkly flip flops. "Excuse me, young man?" she said, beaming at him. ::: ChildoftheMoiria: David slipped his phone into his pocket after one last text. His hand fell to the keys hanging from one of his left belt loops. Yup he could multitask like no one's business. It was a skill you had to learn when you were born like him. David missed Bren's inital call but did look up as he came within around ten feet of her. His head turned to her exact location just as she maybe felt the brush of his power touching her. The corners of his mouth turned up into a smile as he halfed the distance again before speaking. "Howdy ma;am, whats shakin?" His tone was upbeat as usual and there was at least no outward sign of distress. -d InkedPr1ncess: She did feel it, she didn't know if that was just for everyone or if he did it for her, but it wasn't the most unpleasant sensation in the world. "You and that ma'am business, haven't I taught you anything yet?" She made room for him on the bench, moving her own bags over and freeing up that space. "None of those many texts are to me, I'm starting to feel a little left out. If we weren't friends, I might be offended." The pout looked perfect on her, even if it was very fake. ::: ChildoftheMoiria: David just gave a rotten grin at the question posed. "Nope I'm a hard headed little shit." David finished closing the distance and turned to plop down near Bren. The comment and fake pout had him laughing. "Well I did not realize you needed help with the interpretation of third edition Dungeons and Dragons rules in regards to running a monk character." Yup David was pretty sure that the nerd speak was going to go over BRen's head. "I am glad I came this way. I was on my way out. I had to come pick up some huberts leather conditioner for my boots and my new kilt." -d InkedPr1ncess: "New kilt? Leather? Okay, now you're turning me on. And yes, I know what Dungeons and Dragons is, but the rest you kind of lost me." But the hard headed little shit was right, that was exactly what he was and probably a reason why Bren liked him so much. "Good to see you then. You get to come tonight, right?" ::: ChildoftheMoiria: "Yeah full length rather than the traditional length. It needs some good TLC though. It should be really nice once I get it stripped down, conditioned and blacked again." With his background and upbringing was it really a surprise David was a passable bootblack? "Ah don't worry I can draw you a map.. would it help if it was in crayon?" He laughed a little and nodded his head when BRen asked if he was planning on heading to Drifter's tonight for the party. "I am planning on it. " -d InkedPr1ncess: "Ohh, snap, you're on form today then, aren't you? I want to see that kilt show up at my party next month. Don't be offended if it should come off." Nah, harmless flirtation never hurt anyone and it sure as hell beat them both being depressed and crying on a bench by the water. "Crayon might help with the nerdspeak, so yes. And one of those big drawing pads too." :: ChildoftheMoiria: David laughed and shook his head at the mention of being undressed. "Not sure that would be a good idea. You cougars get a little hands on." He returned the playful ribbing in kind. The agreement on the crayons had him laughing again. "I will get you one of those huge penciles to take notes with while I'm at it. So you are throwing a leather ball next month?" -d InkedPr1ncess: "No, no leather ball. It's not an S and M party, it's my birthday party. Thought a goth themed thing would be fun. My outfit's like a combination of Wednesday Adams and Marilyn Manson. Gonna be fun, I think." The comment about cougars was met with a playful scowl, now she wasn't really that old, was she? "I think you can only call me cougar if I'm at least twenty years older than you, and it's not that big of an age gap, thank you very much." ::: ChildoftheMoiria: "So pigtails a pink unitard and tutu and you will ride in on a pig?" Yup that is what sprang to mind at the mention of Wednesday Adams and Manson. "Well you said you were in your thirties and I'm twenty one.. so at least nine years." David laughed softly. "So you could have been my baby sitter at one point in time. That means you are a cougar." Yup worked out as logical in David's mind. -d InkedPr1ncess: He had her laughing and it felt good, she didn't remember ever telling him that but maybe she was slightly intoxicated at the time. "I am going to be twenty nine next month, and do I really look like I'm in my thirties? You are so off my best friend list." And the mental picture she got was highly amusing as well. "If i was your babysitter, ever, I would have been the girl getting arrested for molestation. You're pretty adorable, you know." ::: ChildoftheMoiria: DAvid was well just himself and attempted to present an upbeat and positive personality with people. Bren mentioning him being off her list of best friends. Well David lifted a hand to his heart and feigned a heart attack. It turned into a shake of his head at the follow up comment though. "I was a lot different as a kid. I was scrawny and so very well they thought it was me being shy. When really it was just a side effect of my problem." -d InkedPr1ncess: "it's all good now, though. You're doing better and i bet that you got a line of girls waiting around the block to start catfights over you." Just to boost his ego a little bit, that never hurt anyone, did it? "Well, I do hate to leave such good company but I'm gonna go by the bar early and get my area set up before the party tonight. Gotta have enough time to make myself look pretty too. You know, us cougars." She was still tempted on occasion to give him a hug but she refrained again. "Hopefully I will see you tonight,' she offered, grabbing up her own bags. ::: ChildoftheMoiria: "Me, I'm full of joy,..." Yup back to the standard answer for the question. Was he, nope he was far from it. But the comment sounded honest enough. When Bren admitted being a cougar David just laughed and lifted to his feet. "Nothing wrong with being older. A woman is like a good bottle of wine.. it's always better with a little age and room to breath." David was gathering up his own bags, "I will be there, not sure for how long but I'll be there." -d

Alex Vipond: Alex was back in that murdered out Benz as he had no desire to push his luck that someone wouldn't breathe wrong or, God forbid, actually touch the California. That would not end well and Alex would end up in jail for all the cameras around. It wasn't like he didn't like or enjoy driving the Benz, it just wasn't a Ferrari, let alone a '62. His '62 in point of fact. He still had not seen Mars or Leland, but he had at least gotten word to Mars, who'd replied to his voice mail. Alex was checking messages for anything new as he entered the mall, eyes on the screen and not where he was walking. Then again, he had an uncanny ability for not running into people while he wasn't looking.
T Joshua Wright: ::studied the signs and aromas coming from the food court, black leather unzipped to reveal a black t with a Phantom skull icon, one hand raised to scratch at his cheek, left one on his face and not the lower one covered in denim:: . Alex Vipond: Well that's good to know. Alex was dressed as he usually was, jeans that looked like they'd seen better days, a t-shirt and jacket. His shades were propped up on top of his head, keeping his hair out of his eyes for a change. He paused as the scents from the food court assailed his nose and he stopped and looked that direction, utterly still in that way that sometimes came over him, as if he were carved of stone, so still was he as he debated. He was well fed, that wasn't the issue. The issue was that some of that food actually smelled good. Lips twisted sideways as he debated.
T Joshua Wright: ::glance skimmed those in the court, most with packages, some with kids, no sign of Jauni or anyone of note, finally just walking to the right, that fried chicken sounded good- er, smelled good::
Alex Vipond: Anything fried sounded good. Alex fired off a text to Meghan, hoping she could meet up and yes, he was going to head for that chicken to tempt her with. He took a shot of the concession and then sent it off to her as he got into line, with a 'guess where I am' note attached to the photo message.
ChildoftheMoiria: Khaki cargo shorts and neon yellow running shoes along with a tee shirt informing the people reading it that David was a bomb tech if if they saw him running they should try and keep up. As usual David had his cell phone in hand and his eyes glued to the screen. He was a hard core apple whore and was rarely without at least two of the iproducts on his person at all times. He remained focused on the phone and let his power streatch out around him. It alerted him when he needed to make a turn to keep from running into people as he toyed with his phone. He glanced up only when he smelled food and his gut reminded him just how long it had been since the last meal. –d
And So She Fell: Things were worse, and on top of that she felt horrible about what happened. Lines crossed and what was done couldn't be taken back. She'd managed to get back toTela early in the morning covered with sand and grass, with her tangled and a mess. Maddy and Ginny saw her from the morning shift, cornered her and told her they were going to go shopping. They wanted to take a car, but she was having nothing to do with it, but they agreed on bike riding. So Ella spend more than a few hours in a place where people shopped. What the fuck is a spa day? The girls were off finishing a few things, but they dressed up the pawn like their very own doll. All the bruises covered And So She Fell: with some cream, shit-color for her face and a dress. She didn't mind the boho 70's vinitage flower dress with shoes to match. They managed to some what smooth the wild fervor of her hair into something more managable. Anyone who knew her, probably wouldn't recognize her in the form fitting dress and what they called dolled up.When she got back to Tela, she'd wipe this stuff off her face. Ginny and Maddy lost Ella and she was roaming around the food court area with the scent of a familiar. She never carried money with her, but they made sure she had some, but instead of buying anything, she wandered from vendor to vendor looking. (d)
T Joshua Wright: ::nearly colliding with Alex, eyes cut to the sunglasses and overall look of the man before a step forward landed him in the 'I'm next' zone, hand raised to gesture i the direction of the large menu sign:: Hey, gimmee a number..... uh....8, Iguess and make it large. Coke. Thanks. ::dry, same as the return glance at Alex when Josh eased aside...half an inch::
Alex Vipond: Alex smirked and gave a chuckle, amused at the gesture, one flashing rock and roll horns at the dude. "Not a problem." He too then was looking back at the menu. "oooh, boneless original..." Idly he wondered what the difference between original and whatever had taken its place was.
ChildoftheMoiria: A person here or there sensitive to such things would feel the sensation of David's net. It was like walking through a spider web in the night. You could not see it but the right person could feel it. He was heading for the Sabaro's next to the chicken joint his eyes still on his phone. Joshua missed Alex on one side and David turned just before entering the musician's personal space on the other side and muttered a quiet "Excuse me" without looking up from his phone. –d
And So She Fell: For now, there was a calm in her soul, but also an internal inferno. Maddy got a call from Sully, so she was heading back to Tela, Ginny would be responsible for getting her back. She was there, but normal details would be missed and she averted looking at anyone directly in the face. Keep moving, lay low and blend in was her only purpose.Maybe in the simple she'd find another way to open the gate. Shadows screamed warning, but she wasn't listening. It hadn't been a full day and after what happened, so in her weakness, she'd give in completely. She was on the other side, and there was nothing she wanted to eat, so she turned and went to the middle of the tables and sat down. She stared up at the ceiling, the architecture was very intricate. (d)
T Joshua Wright: ::smirk returned, Josh stepped up to pay for his food and take the tray while the food court suddenly became even more like Grand Central Station and filled with 150 or more noisy, hungry teenagers, the bus drivers and chaperones, none of them admiring the structure as the woman was, Josh's eyes widened as he turned and realized the seats would be scarce and soon:: Shit.
Alex Vipond: "You know, usually it's fan girls that can't keep their distance." Alex smirked at David, and yeah the man was tense but he always seemed somewhat intense to start with. "Dude, seriously, girls. They're everywhere. You just gotta look up." David was in more need of a blow job than any man he knew. Alex actually started looking around for a candidate. That was when he spotted Ella... And no... That would not be a good combination. The two of them together would be cataclysmic and not in a good way. When the herd of screaming teenagers came onto the scene, Alex had flash backs. Brazil. London. Paris. Didn't matter. He froze for a moment.
And So She Fell: The table she was at was fairly large and whatever it was, the teenagers stayed away from her. Maybe it was because she was looking up at the ceiling and her demeanor screamed weird. Ginny was coming from one of the shops hoping to find Ella. The noise had her laughing and ditching the distracted teenagers. She was starving, it was either pizza or asian. Though, she had to find Ella, but not in this crowd, she headed back toward the vintage shop where they purchased a few more dresses. (d)
ChildoftheMoiria: David looked up pulled from his phone by Alex's voice. He turned and stumbled a bit. A hand reached out to land on Alex to keep from falling. David laughed for a moment as he regained his balance. He developed a rather blank expression for a second or two before he pulled his hand back. "It takes a special kind of woman to get my attention Alex." David managed a little bit of forced laughter in his voice. The approach of the far girl horde had him shifting to shield Alex as best he could. =d
Alex Vipond: Alex stepped up and ordered, and hoped like hell he had it before he was swallowed by the herd. he checked his phone again, but no luck, so far. Damn it. When David sort of stumbled, Alex reflexively reached out to steady him. When that blank looked crossed David's face, Alex's own expression became guarded. "I know the feeling. I had all but sworn off of dating and then I met Meghan."
T Joshua Wright: ::tray lifted to avoid a collision, a turn to the left and right with the verbal warnings:: Look out. Comin' through. Hot food, man. Watch yourself. ::claiming one of the last tables with a grunt of relief:: ChildoftheMoiria: What ever the hell he saw David threw up every shield he could. The menion of Meghan had him nodding his head. "Nothing like the perfect drug... Sorry about that." David offered a smile and shifted yet again to keep the fan girl's at bay.-d
And So She Fell: She was upset at Alex yesterday for not keeping his word (as far as she knew), but today she kept quiet and to herself. No explosions here, and she was completely guarded. After staring at the ceiling for a good time, the white noise finally permeated her mind and she realized there were a lot of teenagers inside. One more thing to stare at, and in the crowd she saw someone. Staring was rude, so she turned back to watching the younger ones. It amazed her how different things were. (d)
Alex Vipond: Alex moved to avoid Joshua... and he couldn't keep from smirking as one of Bo Schitt's Gmod Idiot Box episodes ran through his head. When David shifted to block the teens, Alex nodded his thanks. It was not that Alex didn't appreciate the support but it got crazy at times. Eventually they'd mellow and Alex put in his order and paid for it, then looked around as it was being put together for a place to plant himself. Looked like Joshua snagged the last table, and Alex would impose if the man didn't mind. "She is that, no two ways about it." Alex was addicted in a good way. It was his other addiction he wished he could shake. Again.
ChildoftheMoiria: "No worries, boss." David offered as he continued to run interferance. He was sure mall security would take over in a few moments. HE was turning to keep blocking so Alex could at least get a seat when he spotted Ella. David lifted a hand to wave at the walking enigma.-d
And So She Fell: Someone was waving? She turned to see if there was someone behind her, no one. It was David, and she really hadn't expected him to wave at her. She did a good job at keeping people away from her for their own good. Though, she raised her hand back, that was her version of a wave. One of the teenagers thought she was waving back and few giggled and waved. Strange-strange place where they gathered. (D)
T Joshua Wright: ::straddling the chair, stuff was moved around to their proper places on the tray, attention rose to sneer at the mob before the chicken and fixings claimed him again and he dug in::
NiteotheAngel: Kaly was trying to relax a bit as she was doing a little window shopping. And collecting of a few applications from a few different places. It couldnt hurt to ask and job wise people were always getting fired and hired at various places. She was not really interested in working at the food court. She had a stack of applications with her and was greatful that some places still did paper applications. Some of the smaller stores anyway. For most of the department stores she ahd to go online and fill out the application. Dressed decently in a simple jean skirt with v neck capped sleeved shirt and a pair of black open toed wedges that were comfortable to walk in.::
Alex Vipond: Alex settled and those who did recognize him were given smiles and waves, but so far they weren't attacking. Wasn't like Italy when Arms nearly lost one. His guitarist had definitely lost his shirt on that trip. Some girl no doubt had its tattered remains stapled to her wall. "So are you working here in the mall on a project?" He moved toward Joshua's table, a smile given. "Mind if we join you?" He noted Ella and gave a smile and a wave. Yes, he had actually given Mars the message but as to whether or not Mars had followed that advice... Alex was clueless on that score. He didn't even know if he was back.
And So She Fell: Another wave and nod? She looked surprised and repeated what she'd done with David. Once confirmed it was her, she raised her hand briefly in that direction and gently nodded her head. At this point she was trying to observe everything that was going on around them. She didn't know he gave Mars the message, because if he did,it didn't work. Though in the end, it wasn't anyone's fault except her own for what happened. (d)
ChildoftheMoiria: "Work here, no I was just picking up some things for a friend." David offered as he walked Alex to the table. He noted mall security coming to help keep order in the fan girls. He noted the wave to Ella but did not mention it as Alex spoke to the guy about joining him at the table. =d
NiteotheAngel: Kaly would not say a word as she headed toward an exit and toward the bus stop. She had enough applications to keep her busy for a bit and she would have to come back later to return them and hopefully speak with some managers.::
T Joshua Wright: ::sputter of objection died as they just sat, turning to see at whom Alex was waving before turning back to the food, quick check of the other trays to see if anything looked better, but it didn't...food consumed::
Alex Vipond: Alex wouldn't just drop down like that; he'd wait for yes or no. He'd end up signing some autographs, no doubt, after he'd eaten. Whispers could be heard, those who'd not heard of him were being filled in by those who had. A few 'oh, that guy' comments were heard. Yes, he was that guy. The one who'd briefly touched fame only to fade out of the limelight for a time. He'd not been quite ready for the public scrutiny that would he his. Too, he'd had technical issues with record labels and such.
ChildoftheMoiria: "Take care boss..." David offered seeing as how things seemed to be under control. He nodded to the guy Alex was maybe going to share a table with. David headed out. Some fresh air seemed like the plan now. His own hunger forgotten for the time being. He headed for the closest exit and was soon searching for his truck in the massive parking areas.
T Joshua Wright: Sit. ::Josh was about done anyway:: Who are you? ::the reactions of those in the mall pointed at someone with some reputation::
Alex Vipond: Alex nodded to David, and then settled at the table. When Joshua posed his question, Alex paused, then just gave a shrug. "Musician. Fans can get a little ... exuberant at times."
And So She Fell: Ginny walked the mall a few times, Ella had to be some where. Finally when the gaggle of girls parted, she finally saw Ella sitting at a table watching the crowd. Odd, that woman is fucking odd, but at least she looked better. Weaving her way in and around his table, she came up behind Ella and put a hand on her. There was a quiet conversation and Ella stood up near Ginny.(d)
T Joshua Wright: ::chewing paused, study of Alex commenced:: Oh yeah? Anyone I know? Local? ::napkin pulled from under the empty wrappers and crumbs to scrub at mouth quickly::
Meghan Vipond: Meghan got the text from Alex and so rather than take her Harley or the other Benz out, she opted for a cab, that way she could ride home with Alex. No sense in taking two vehicles to one destination. Was pointless. When she got to the mall, she moved in and pulled out her phone, texting him, asking him if he was still in the food court, idly making her way in that direction. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Local, now. Transplant from California. Alex Vipond." Alex offered his hand out across the table. When his phone went off, he picked it up with the other hand and fired off a text in reply, letting her know he was indeed still at the food court and to watch out for the herd of teenagers that had swarmed the place.
And So She Fell: Putting a hand on her elbow, they were getting ready to leave. Ginny had all the bags. "Did you have fun today?" She asked. Ella had to think about it. "I have not experienced this before, I am from a different kind of place, we do not have these gathering places like this." Ginny was leading Ella away from the food court toward the exit that way. She went without any fight. (d)
T Joshua Wright: ::Josh wiped his hand then shook Alex's, eyeing his phone:: Alex Vipond. Josh Wright. ::since Alex was semi-attentive, Josh's attention strayed to the women leaving as he shook Alex's hand:: Used to live in LA.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan nodded if only to herself and began to make her way toward the food court. Though, she did wonder about the mass of girls. Probably fan girls. She was in the food court soon after, and was glancing around to find him. She could sense him, he was close, but pinpoint was a bit more difficult in such a crowded place like this. [d]
And So She Fell: Ginny and Ella were off into the night. (d)
Alex Vipond: Yeah so that was very much not strange. Alex sort of scowled as Ella and the other woman wandered off, and then glanced around the crowd to see if he could spot Meghan. "Oh yeah?" He looked back at Joshua. "Small damned world." Alex knew she was there, though he too didn't know exactly where. He stood up, the chain on his hip swaying with the movement as he looked around to seek his wife out. He looked back at Joshua. "Sorry, my wife is on her way and she may have a hard time finding me through the crowd."
T Joshua Wright: ::chuckle:: She will. ::crumpling the trash before pushing it aside, phone vibrated in an inner pocket and he reached for it, checking the screen::
Meghan Vipond: Meghan was making her way through, gazing about and then after a she got about half way into the crowd, she spotted him as he stood up. She smirked and Meghan began to make her way toward him. She was in her usual. boots, jeans, tee, and a black leather vest. She approached him and didn't hesitate in wrapping arms around him and pressing a kiss to his lips. PDA? Always. She wasn't ashamed of anything. [d]
Alex Vipond: His arm went around her waist as she wrapped her arms around him, and that kiss was returned. He leaned back and smiled. "I have chicken and a new friend. This is Josh Wright." Alex looked back at Josh. "My wife, Meghan."
T Joshua Wright: ::rising, hand with the phone dropped at his side to extend a clean hand to her:: Hello, Meghan. Nice to meet you. ::first actual smile, too::
Meghan Vipond: After the hug and the kiss, blues turned to the man Alex introduced as Josh Wright. She offered her hand to the man. "Nice to meet you Josh Wright." she flashed him an easy and warm smile. With a hand shake she nodded and then with drew. With a grin, eyes would cut from Josh to Alex. "You said you had chicken... I hope you didn't by the place out.... "
T Joshua Wright: I think the kids did. ::3 tour buses of teenagers:: It was nice meeting you both. Work calls. ::phone brought up in demonstration while the tray and Josh were removed from the table::
Alex Vipond: "Nope, but I got enough to share." he smiled and pulled a chair out for her. He'd not actually started on the chicken yet. "They have boneless original." Whatever the fuck that was, he got the boneless part, it was the original he wasn't sure of. "Josh is from California too.” Alex paused and looked back at him. "Oh, sure. It was a pleasure meeting you."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan nodded and chuckled as she looked back to Josh, as he explained about the bus loads of teens. "Bet that was fun." she said with a snicker. She was just about to sit down and join both Alex andhis friend, when Josh said he needed to go. Meghan frowned but quickly replaced it with a understanding smile. "Hope to meet up again another time Josh, take it easy." she called out. Once he was gone, she turned back to Alex. "Well, did you get anything besides chicken or just... chicken...?" she teased as she fell into the seat he pulled out for her. [d]
T Joshua Wright: ::tray dumped over an over-flowing trash can as the mall staff and security tried to keep up with the crowd, several girls shoved in for autographs despite Meghan's presence, phone tucked back inside his leather on the way to the exit::
Alex Vipond: "I got biscuits and mashed potatoes too..." he smiled and then as things were being held out to him to sign, he smiled and pulled that Sharpie out of his hip pocket. No, he didn't leave home without it. He'd learned that lesson long ago. He smiled, spoke with the fans and thanked them for their support and eventually things calmed down enough that he could resume his seat.
Meghan Vipond: "Good." she replied with a grin. If some got to pushy... Meghan simply gave them a glare. It was usually enough to tell them to back up off her personal space. Invading Alex's was one... he was used to it. Meghan however... was not quite as forgiving. Especially after her mood yesterday. It made her growl inside. Stupid girl. Speaking of which.. well, somewhat... Meghan turned to Alex. " I meant to ask you how things went last night with the brood. Same ole same oles?" she asked, he knew she was talkng about the wolves. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Pretty much." he smiled at her, then signed another bit of memorabilia, only this time it was one of his CDs. He smiled, nodded and handed the album back. Looking at Meghan his smile for her was warmer. The crowd disbursed, and Alex put his Sharpie away. "Some new faces, the kid from the diner, Axle and some chick with Ryder. Don't know who she is, I've never seen her before."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan nodded as she began to help herself to a piece of chicken. She didn't care if people were around or not. "Oh yeah?" she asked. She half expected Axle to be there but of course this other woman is what had her curious. "Well, you didn't get a name or anything?" she asked as she bit into her first piece of chicken. Greasy and yummy [d]
Alex Vipond: "He called her Emma. Introductions weren't made." Alex shrugged, everyone had gotten naked and furry and run off after that. Alex hung out, played games on his phone and waited until everyone was back in their skin and clothes and then headed home. "I really should ask if I'm even needed for these things. I felt kind of useless." Then again, if something happened and he was needed and not there...
Meghan Vipond: 'Emma... hm.. no, I don't know of any Emma's. " she replied. When he said hehad felt kind of useless... Meghan sighed and nodded. "Well, maybe next time I can go and keep you company? or Just see if maybe they need you first before you go." she replied. [d]
Alex Vipond: He grinned at that, and waggled his brows at her. "You and me, in the woods, alone, in the dark... Yeah, sounds like a plan." Mostly alone, at any rate. "Or we could go to the movies. Then again, we could go to the movies any time. Is there anything playing that you want to see?"
Meghan Vipond: "I'd make it worth your while..." she teased as she gave her own waggle of brows." After a few bites, that was one piece of chicken down. She was now going to enjoy some of the mashed potatos and a biscuit. Brows arched. "You know I am not picky about the movies. I'll go see whatever you want to see because I like it all." she took another bite of potatos and then washed them down with some of his drink. "Do you remeber the first movie we watched together?" she asked with a chuckle. "It was at your place." she added. "God... that seems like so long ago... doesn't it?" she asked with a chuckle. "Hard to believe its been... almost 9 months." [d]
Alex Vipond: "As a matter of fact, I do." Alex couldn't hide the grin, or suppress the chuckle. "And no offense, but I am very glad that Asher had no desire to be tortured by a 'chick flick'." He plucked up one of the biscuits and broke into it, a piece popped into his mouth and chewed slowly. He then eyed the rest of it as if it were the greatest thing ever. "We have to take some of these home." He shook his head. "So much has gone on, so much we've accomplished in that time, it seems incomprehensible at times that it's only been nine months. And on the other hand, it seems unbelievable that it's been that long." he smiled. "Seems like you walked into that bar I was playing in, just a short while ago."
Meghan Vipond: "They are really good... aren't they..." she said as she picked a piece from her own and popped it into her mouth. She nodded and chuckled at everything he said. It sometimes seemed so... surreal. Other times it was anything but. "I am glad I walked into that bar that night...." she said with a smile as she eyed him. "Even if you did follow me home and scribble your number on my sidewalk...." she teased. She really could not believe he had done that. No one had ever gone to such.... measures to get her attention. "I have to admit... it was kinda creepy at first...." she said with a laugh. Another piece of biscuit torn off and popped into her mouth. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Yeah, I should have at least waited for the third meeting, rather than go all stalker on you, but I knew the moment you walked in that I wanted to get to know you and I couldn't leave it to chance, or risk... Asher to completely fuck things up. I can fuck things up on my own, thank you very much." he smirked, then popped a piece of chicken into his mouth. "I like this no bones shit. I know it may seem weird, but bones kind of freak me out."
Meghan Vipond: "I don't know... I mean... things did work out." she said with a grin. "Look where we are now?" she added as she elbowed him a little. She finished off her biscuit and was working again on the mash potatos. At the mention of Asher, again, it was sort of hard to think he had just ... left her. She couldn't understand by the big jerk couldn't just behappy for her. At least she wasn't with some other loser like Tony. She cut her eyes to him softly and gave a little sad smile. "Should try Hooters hotwings... " she offered quietly. Trying to smile a little more as she took another couple bites of her potatos. [d]
Alex Vipond: Alex knew why, but then Alex would have been a dick and not given up, unless she was really in love with the jerk. So, yeah, he could understand why Asher had backed off, but not backed completely out of the city. Alex gave her a reassuring smile and rubbed her back, then kissed her cheek. "He may come to his senses someday, when he realizes what he's done." Which was piss away a good friendship, because you had to pout over not getting your way. "You know when I really thought I had lost you..." Alex popped another piece into his mouth and chewed slowly, savoring the taste before continuing. "The night I drunk dialed you from the parking lot at Trinity."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan, in all their years of friendship, had never known that Asher had feelings for her like that. He had never once leton to any real feelings. Just.. one night of stupid drunk and they nearly slept together. She didn't regret it but she wasn't happy about it either. When Alex rubbed her back and said Asher may someday come to his senses, she shrugged. "I don't know Alex.. he can bea little more and a bit more easier. She finished her potatos and when he spoke next, brows arched. "Really? How come?" she asked. "Oh....wait... no, I remember now. It was when Cade was admitting that he liked me... " Boy had that been tense. She thought Asher was gonna kill Cade. [d]
Alex Vipond: "I believe the words I used were 'fuck waiting, I want you now...' or something to that effect. And then yeah you and Cade and Asher started having problems and you pulled way the hell back and I was at a loss as to what to do. I wanted to stand under your window and throw pebbles at it and serenade you and ... Fortunately I restrained myself. I don't think you would have respected me had I completely gone mental."
Meghan Vipond: "Something like that...yeah..." she said through a chuckle as she took two or three swallows of his drink. "God... I can't believe the time though..." she repeated. "And the night you took me to the Red Room? Remember that?" she asked with a smile. "I think you might have been a little surprised with how open minded I'd have been with all that, believe it or not." she said with a snicker. [d]
Alex Vipond: "And I still stand by what I said. Had things been different, had I not ... I wouldn't be here, in this place in this time to have met you." He took her hand in his and brought it to his lips as he regarded her. "That makes everything worth it. All the pain, all the suffering, all the regret, worth it."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan got teary eyed. She bobbed her head a bit. To know just some of the things this man went through, long before she was ever thought of, long before her parents were even thought of... and he said it had all been worth it because of her. With tears streak down her cheek she smiled. Leaned in and hugged him. Hugged him as tight as she could, hopefully not hurting him. Face slowly turned until it was in the crook of his neck. "I love you so much." she squeezed him again. [d]
Alex Vipond: Arms around her he hugged her tight, one hand cupping the back of her head, his face buried in her hair, inhaling her scent. "I love you too." Someone, somewhere was no doubt getting pictures of this very public display of affection, would likely misconstrue it before they plastered it on every tabloid and e-rag there was, but Alex didn't care. She loved him. And that was all that mattered. Fuck what anyone had to say about it.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan didn't want to let go. She could have stayed right there, the rest of the night and had been happy. However, her body said otherwise. She drew back just enough to look to him with blue eyes. "I'd have given anything to live in your time. To know you then as I know you now." she whispered. Evidently, Meghan didn't care if anyone was snapping away a gazillion pictures or not. "Let’s pack the rest of this up and head home? I want to lay in your arms all night and all day tomorrow. Let’s not go anywhere or do anything tomorrow. Share breakfast in bed... lunch and supper too if you want." she said with a smile. [d]
Alex Vipond: Didn't have to tell him twice. Alex was packing everything up as soon as the words were out of her mouth. When she mentioned breakfast in bed, he grinned. "I can definitely deal with that." He smiled, one hand slipping into her hair at the base of her head to draw her in for a much needed kiss. Slowly, he rose with her, still kissing her as he did so. It wasn't until they would have to turn to head out of the food court to leave the mall that he'd finally lift his head.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan grinned and once they had everything packed up, she was drawn in for a kiss. As he rose, lips locked with her, she would rise to her own feet, following him. One arm wrapped around him briefly. And then, the kiss was broken so they could head out. Yeah... almost got things started to christened the mall there. Good thing they stopped when they had. [d]
Alex Vipond: Some things TMZ and Perez Hilton just don't need to splash. And they would, too. Far better to err on the side of caution and at least wait until the car is reached. Arm around Meghan, Alex led her out, the remnants of their KFC dinner in its boxes.

NiteotheAngel: Kalypso had her own things going on in her life as well and on her plate. She finished her pretzel as she got up from her table and finished her lemonade. She had to meet with her new boss later today and go over her work schedule. She figured when people had time they would come find her. It wasnt like it was hard to find her at the new cafe or the garage. She waved to Bren.::"Have a nice day.":: As she headed toward the exit of the mall.::
InkedPr1ncess: That was fine, she gave her a smile and a little wave as she left, like she couldn't get away quick enough. Maybe getting a new job had made her not want to talk to her friends. Who knew? She turned back to the table quick and sent Alex a random text just to see if Gus needed anything. Or wanted some of his snacks. :::
Alex Vipond: Gus was fine, and Alex sent a reply to that effect as he headed into the mall. Alex was one of those that started Christmas shopping in January. Well, Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries... Tuesday. With the exception of their wedding rings, and the baby stuff bought for Jake and Shay and baby Collingwood, Alex didn't really plan what he would buy. He simply browsed and anything that jumped out at him, he'd buy. Once in the mall, Alex grasped his jacket and gave it a little shake to dispel the rain from it. He then wiped his hands on the thighs of his jeans as he headed in deeper, just prowling for something to catch his eye.
InkedPr1ncess: His friend needed to be the one to catch his eye, she had managed to take the first round of bags out to the car and come back before it started raining. She was looking in a pretty cool clothing store, holding up a pair of jeans to her form when she saw Alex walking past and she called out to him. "They got some pretty good stuff for guys in here," she told him, it was an Alex sort of store too. :::
Alex Vipond: Stopping, Alex turned and headed into the store. No she didn't have to speak loudly for him to hear her, or for him to know she was speaking to him. her voice would be enough to know it was at least possibly meant for him and since she was in fact alone, it was a damned good bet that her comment was in fact directed his way. "Think I need some new threads?" Since he had a penchant for wearing t-shirts from bands that he'd started listening to twenty, thirty years ago, it was a safe bet that some of his stuff was dated. But then that made it retro, right? His Morphine t-shirt looked like it had been attacked by killer, junkie moths, and some of his jeans like they'd been splattered in battery acid, but it was a look. One that he'd rocked for the better part of a decade.
InkedPr1ncess: "Haha, kind of. Not to replace the ones you got, but to get you some new ones. They have some pretty cool band t-shirts here." She had found a couple things she liked already but she wouldn't get piled up so those were up by the register already. "Hey, did you ever see Guns N' Roses in concert? Like the original band?" :::
Alex Vipond: One brow rose as he regarded her. "You're joking, right?" Although technically his current ID would have been five when the band signed with Geffen, Alex had been to a number of their shows. He flashed Bren rock and roll horns and then started looking through the t-shirts available.
InkedPr1ncess: "Damn it, I never got to. How was it? I'm so jealous." She had been to a lot of concerts since she was little but that was a group that she had never seen. "How about these?" she asked, holding up a col pair of cargos with chains hanging from them. Now that was something she definitely liked wearing. :::
Alex Vipond: "Not good for shows. The chains should be easy to break away. Otherwise one could find themselves pantsed in a very large crowd..." Which was why he wore his pinned, not sewn or riveted on, as the pin would give way long before any stitching or rivets would. I pretty much have to look at everything as if someone is going to try and remove it by force."
VirFortisNatus: No smoking was allowed inside of the mall. Steps of the crimson and white with that collegiate A stamped on the back of the heel. Zero stared at the sign with that fag hanging from her mouth. "Mrf." Grunting sound with head turning to spit the offender out. Gloved hands stuffed into the pockets of her dark stone washed in the knees jeans. Black shirt with Major Motoko holding a gun at Oni's head and Oni looking up begging for life. Of course the shirt was baggy and her chest bound. Where was she headed? Asbel had already sought out where she wished to go. Moving through the mall till making it to the store with just her two best buddies ever. Was she going to badger them? Head turned to look over her shoulder. "Thanks." To Asbel and then approached the pair. "Hello." -D-
InkedPr1ncess: Bren actually put the cargos back up, she had enough of those at home and he definitely had a point. The raggedy jeans were something she might buy some more of, but when she heard that hello, she looked up to see Zero there. She had talked to her a few times, but she didn't know the girl would want to come and talk to them. "Hi, how are you?" ::::
Alex Vipond: The scent clung, despite the fact that the woman had ditched the fag. Alex's nose wrinkled, twitched, then his expression stilled as he turned to looked at the woman, a nod up given as Bren greeted as well. "To what do we owe the honor?" One brow cocked upward in question before he turned to start rifling through the t-shirts again.
VirFortisNatus: Eyes fixated on Bren while she pondered a moment. Answer the question truthfully or give the static response people desired. Not that Zero was doing poorly, but-- Oh hell. "I am well. How about you?" Then Alex spoke and she turned to look at him. Her expression faultered into fake disappointment. "That's it? No threat to drag me into the streets and beat me to death? I'm a bit disappointed." Twitch of a smirk on the edge of her lips but quickly went to stoic. -D-
InkedPr1ncess: She looked at Zero and gave her one of those stares, God she hoped the woman was smart enough to take it for what it was. "I'm good. Alex is good too, please don't antagonize him." She gave her a grin, she liked that store and did not want to be kicked out of it in case there was an argument. Zero could be okay but this was not a good place to start a public nuisance. :::
Alex Vipond: "Day ain't over yet." Alex smiled, then reached into his pocket, pack of gum pulled and offered out to the women first before he swapped his piece out for a fresh one. Folding the piece between his teeth, he put the old into the wrapper and the pack back into his pocket. The new piece of gum was rolled to the left side of his mouth and tucked in as he went back to looking at t-shirts. He snagged a U2 t-shirt. The last one he had was, well, religious it was so holey.
VirFortisNatus: Had only been joking with Alex. Looked to Bren and she sighed. "I guess your playful banter approached isn't working..." Don't blame me. You're dry as can be kid. Only brought gloved hand up to face palm and shake her head. "Anyways, sorry I wasn't trying too." Though Alex spoke up and she nodded. "Indeed." Gum offered to her? Friendly? Or maybe for his own good rather than hers. Zero slipped a piece into her hand and unwrapped it tossing it into her mouth. "Thanks." Chewed and seemingly summoned awkward silence. -D-
InkedPr1ncess: Alex was good for the gum, Bren knew if she never had any, he always would if he was around. "Thank you, sir," she said finally, finding a sleeveless shirt that was a little ripped and a little strategically tied back together. "Been staying out of trouble?" she asked Zero, trying to get her to say something since she was standing around. Maybe get her to talking. :::
Alex Vipond: Alex really should have taken stock in Wrigley's back in 1914 when Doublemint was created and he'd discovered it, quite by accident. "Welcome." Alex moved around to the other side of the display, continuing to sift through t-shirts, the one he'd already chosen he'd tossed onto his shoulder.
VirFortisNatus: Confused look and she nodded. "Of course. What makes you think I get in trouble in the first place?" Head turned and she began to look around to see who all could possibly be listening. The static space around her frizzled thanks to Asbel making some tapping and bugging devices on certain frequencies moot. "Other than ties to certain agencies I only help people." Even if by helping sometimes it meant killing. -D-
InkedPr1ncess: Now it was Bren that was confused, she looked from Alex back to Zero and shook her head. "It was a joke. Just a joke." She thought that would have been picked up on, but maybe Zero didn't get out much. "Probably agencies you should not be talking about, right?" :::
Alex Vipond: Alex didn't say anything to that but he did give a quiet snort. If she meant she helped people by accosting teen agers and pissing off musicians then she was fucking Mother Teresa. Alex moved on to the jeans, checking them out, and yes he gave them a good looking over for strength. It would seem he had issues with durability.
VirFortisNatus: No she didn't. Infact this is the most she has spoke in a long long time. Ever since Chie and Junpei left her behind at Section 9. Arms folded across her chest. "It doesn't really matter. They can't bug me and I doubt either of you have ties to the British government." They just didn't look the type. "I just honestly figure neither of you care and I don't think pushing information on people is very lucrative." -D-
InkedPr1ncess: Thank goodness she had gum in her mouth, it gave Bren something to focus on besides a smartass remark that could have come out. "Do you ever have fun? Crack a smile? Anything? No offense darlin, but I think you need a doctor to take that stick out of your butt." That was another joke too, but the girl wasn't that old, she needed to stop being so stuff. ::::
Alex Vipond: Alex was not getting anywhere near that conversation. Ever. And the closest tie to British government was a member of the royal family: A rather old member of the royal family, but a member none the less. Alex slid on over to another display and glanced back at the women. He wasn't going to do it but he had to as he looked back at Zero. "Doesn't that fucking hurt?"
VirFortisNatus: "Ehhh." Hands unfolded and one moved to rub the back of her neck in nervousness while the other stuffed into her pocket. "I have fun. It's just not a party like with most people. As much as I move I don't have time generally to make friends. Liesa just kind of... followed me." Sighed and grumbled slightly. Alex spoke up and she shook her head. "You get used to it after awhile. Hurts at first then starts to feel good." The stick in her ass that is. Almost cracked a smile. Only a twitch of her lips once more. "Am I doing better now?" Zero seemingly speaking to herself once more. Just... well sure. -D-
InkedPr1ncess: Okay, so that turned a little weird, didn't it? She just smiled, she could understand it but she would look to Alex for some help. While Zero talked to her 'friend' of course, she never figured out what it was but probably something the girl couldn't talk about. :::
Alex Vipond: It wasn't the stick he was referring to, but her answer caused both brows to rise. "Alrighty then." And then he was looking at a different stack of jeans, because someone had to, they weren't going to look at themselves now where they? And a little weird was the understatement of the year. Alex looked at Bren and shrugged.
VirFortisNatus: Looked to Bren and flinched. Maybe... Well Bren probably wouldn't believe her anyways. "I'm not crazy if that was what you were thinking." Face twisted up in desperation and the hand that had been rubbing the back of her neck stuffed into her pocket. "It's complicated." Zero's eyes then looked to the jeans he was inspecting and stepped a bit closer running her finger along the edges where the sizes were and picked one up and unfolded them to examine. -D-
InkedPr1ncess: "Oh, I know there's something there, I was just curious on what it was." She had literally never met someone so serious and socially awkward around people. She had another pile gathered up in her arms and she saw a Rolling Stones t-shirt that looked like it would be perfect for Alex. :::
Alex Vipond: Alex sidestepped and shot a glance to Bren. This woman seemed as out of place as an alien dropped in from another galaxy with no research on the customs of the land. One shoulder rose and fell and then he was checking the pair of jeans in hand, holding them up to his waist and then checking the rise. He'd have to try them on to make sure they didn't strangle him.
VirFortisNatus: Did she really want to know? Brow rose and she shrugged her shoulders. Zero wasn't good at explaining things and as they knew she wasn't very good with words. Stepped closer to Bren and rose a gloved hand up. The dark eyes looked to Bren and they actually conveyed a calming sense. Zero's conversations were best had with glances and body language. The hand slowly moved down to Bren's shoulder and then once it touched a quick link was given to Bren. Then she would see him, Asbel. Crouched down to fit within the room with his metal bone armor and clawed hands. The bright red mane partially covered by the tuft of silver hair on his head matching the body hair along his body. Hand moved off Bren's shoulder. "We are one. He's a manifestation of what is inside of me." Looked over to Alex and he seemed far less interested. So the hand holding those jeans just went around and met the free one to fold them back together and place back on the display. -D-
InkedPr1ncess: Okay, so it was hard not to call out for Alex like she was a little kid but it was a miracle his name wasn't yelled out. The quick vision that she got enough was enough to scare the shit out of her and she was trembling when Zero removed her hand. "That's what's inside you?" she asked, she took a step back and looked around a little bit. Alex, hurry and try on those damned jeans, she said to herself. :::
Alex Vipond: Alex had dealt with more than enough of his fair share of people having manifestations of infestations of late and he sure as shit didn't need to hear about any more. He would, quite thankfully, bow the fuck out of that: bizarro conversation about armored, tufted entities that defied logic or belief. In fact his ass was edging toward the fitting room.
VirFortisNatus: The woman was afraid? Brow rose and she stepped back away from Bren. "Yes." No need for further explaination. It seems your plan to gain trust backfired. Zero sighed. "Yeah." Hands went into her pockets watching Alex walk away. "I think I will leave you two to your peace. Sorry." -D-
InkedPr1ncess: "It's okay, I mean, you can't just show that to me and expect me to be all giggly. It's just something that would take a while to get used to." They were just shopping anyway, or she was and she had dragged Alex in with her but she just nodded and gave Zero half a smile. "It's all good, I'm fine now." ::::
VirFortisNatus: "Why not? You've seen things along the same lines." Wasn't about to bring up vampires or lycans. All of which also defied logic or belief, but still managed to exist in this world. Eyes looked over Bren closely trying to decipher her actual feelings. Shrugged. "If I'm not imposing." -D-
Alex Vipond: Once in the fitting room, Alex tried the jeans on, making sure there was enough room for his package. No, not that package - though that too was something he held in concern, but the equipment he would need to shove into his back pocket while on stage, that picked up his mic and transmitted the rest of the band to his ear pieces. He could clip it on, but it was always easier, more secure in his hip pocket and when he bought jeans, he always made certain there was room enough for a transceiver.
InkedPr1ncess: "Oh no, I haven't seen anything like that before. Seeing certain things doesn't necessarily mean that I've seen something that massive before." That was true, nothing really even close to that. But she wasn't going to just say what she had seen before, some people in Seattle had a problem with big mouths announcing things. ::::
VirFortisNatus: "Hmmm." Hand up to rub her chin for a moment and then shrugged. "Well don't worry. There is no reason for you to fear us. Afterall you are probably the closest thing I do have to a friend here. The next being Alex and he's threatened to kill me." That did get a small smile from Zero. "Though it mostly amuses me. Not in an I don't think he could way, but--" Blinks and cleared her throat returning to stoic expression. "I wont give him a reason." That is if Kayl didn't come around and fuck up her progress for a third time. Zero gave her that last wanring in the woods. -D-
Alex Vipond: If Alex was one of the closest people she had to a friend then she was fucked. Without a kiss. And it wasn't Kaly fucking up Zero's chances, but Zero herself. Satisfied the jeans would in fact accommodate the transceiver and pleased with the fit, Alex swapped them out for his own and then left the fitting room, refolding them as he made his way back to where the women were. He looked between them, gum rolled back from right to left.
InkedPr1ncess: "He's really an okay guy, Zero. I don't know if you rubbed him the wrong way or what, but I have never had a cross word with him. Like, ever." It was true, Alex had been a good friend since the first time she met him. "Hey Alex, you like the Stones?" she asked, holding up the shirt to show him. :::
VirFortisNatus: Alex wasn't in the forest. He had no idea what she did. Even so Kayl totally would deserve to be at least backhanded for what she has done twice. Zero holding her hand back was the work of Asbel and not herself. Watched Alex roll out then looked to Bren. "It's that little girl. She's kniving and uneducated." Words stopped rolling out of her mouth. That's enough Zero. Deep breath and exhale shaking her head. "It's not important. His threats are endearing." Meant that with respect totally. Not mocking in the slightest. -D-
Alex Vipond: "Does a camel get happy on Wednesday?" He nodded to Bren, then looked back at Zero. "Kniving? Someone got shanked?" Brows rose as he regarded the woman. "Endearing?" Yeah. At this point he was seriously considering doing a Panama.
VirFortisNatus: “Conniving.” Shook her head. "Not yet." -D_
InkedPr1ncess: She didn't know what his threats were much anyway, but if Alex threatened someone, it had to be serious. She was going to get that shirt for him, just as a here you go gift, and she looked back at Zero as she made her way up front with the rest of her purchases. She knew very well how Zero felt about Kaly, but that was a can of worms she was not opening again. ::::
VirFortisNatus: Was doing well just avoiding the little cunt, but only hoped not to run into her at some random point. Luckily Asbel's senses could detect if she was nearby and hopefully keep Zero away. Nodded. "Yes endearing." A hint of playful tone before head chanted to the side. "Do you want me to kiss and make up with Kayl before you'll quit giving me the cold shoulder?" -D_
Alex Vipond: "The only thing you can do to achieve that is to stop annoying me. Sadly at this point, I'm not certain that's an achievable goal." He shrugged and headed for the counter after Bren, taking up a lean there as Bren was being seen to, and waiting his turn.
InkedPr1ncess: Her purchases were more numerable than Alex's but then again he wasn't a girl, he probably couldn't spend half an hour in a clothing store. Or didn't want to at least. "Alex, you up for a coffee? Or have your wife to get home to?" She didn't mind it either way, Zero was welcomed to come as long as she kept everything level. :::
VirFortisNatus: Shook her head when he spoke. Though of course she followed him. "What is it that annoys you? Me speaking? Me existing? Other than that altercation I have done nothing but try to speak with you." Though Zero was close to giving up. "You just seem to have pre-conceived notions that are based on nothing other than what a child said to you." Eyes cut over to Bren and then back to Alex and she looked like there was something else she wanted to say but instead shook her head. Hands stuffed inside of her pockets and eyes cut to Bren. Gave her a nod and Zero turned to walk off. -D_
Alex Vipond: He started to answer Bren but then Zero was right there, once more. "You're pushy, you're prying, and you're not at all unlike a wart on my ass. My 'preconceived notions' have nothing to do with anything Kaly said to me but how you spoke to me on our first meeting. And do not ever, ever, ask me a fucking question, then walk away as I try to answer it..." He shook his head and looked at Bren. "And she wonders why I don't like her..."
InkedPr1ncess: "Now, I know that Kaly can piss people off, everyone knows that. But what is her damage? She's still that mad over that first meeting?" Unless something had happened afterwards, but she didn't know about that at all. She took her bags and waited for Alex, looking after Zero leaving. "Speaking of Kaly, does she seem kind of standoffish to you lately?" :::
Alex Vipond: "Kaly has two modes. In your face or fuck off." Alex shrugged. Frankly he was growing rather tired of the attention mongers and this last one seemed to be the icing on the cake. "Fucking follows us around, then gets pissy at us. Swear to God it's as if the bitch is channeling Lydia."
InkedPr1ncess: "I don't remember Lydia, was she a friend of Ivarr's?" If so, then that would make sense, that 'guy' if you could call him that was a real piece of work. "I don't know what's the matter with people lately. Ella and her crazy bullshit getting Mars and Leland all twisted up, Kaly and her serious mood swings, and then Zero...Alex, if you had seen what she showed me, you would have jumped too." :::
Alex Vipond: "His ... 'mother'. Which well could explain a lot. As for what she showed you, I wasn't gonna let the bitch touch me to do so." Uh uh, no way, no how. "I've had enough weird shit to deal with this year, I don't need more."
InkedPr1ncess: "Well, if any of them decide to make an appearance again, can we just burn them alive? Or throw some other horrible torture on them?" Ah, those people were best left dead in the past, things were going too well. "I swear sometimes, it's like people we think we know seem to just turn stupid or something." She headed them towards the Starbucks unless he had other plans. :::
Alex Vipond: "All I know is I have little tolerance for people who do their best to piss me off from the get. And frankly I am tired of dealing with them." He handed over his card as the clerk rang him up, and then he signed the receipt. Taking the card back he slid it back into his wallet, and then took the bag. "Coffee sounds good." Walking out with her they headed for Starbucks. The scent alone held the power of improving his mood.
InkedPr1ncess: Yes, it definitely did, and after she got her bags put down, she went to order hers and whatever he wanted. He did have a point, the idiots were getting old and she felt like sometimes they should get paid for babysitting. Not to mention she hadn't heard from Axle in over a week. She came back with the drinks, her own was a green tea Frappuccino instead of the normal iced chai latte. ::::
Alex Vipond: Alex grabbed them a table and settled in, one hand dragging through his hair and pulling it out of his eyes, if only momentarily. He was done talking about the woman. If she couldn't wake up long enough to realize it was her own attitude that had gotten her on the outs with him, then she didn't deserve to have it explained.
InkedPr1ncess: She sat down and took a drink, it was surely exhausting worrying about the others so much and not herself. She was glad that Alex was around, he could deflect the assholes much easier than she could. "So Axle disappeared again," she said randomly, if anyone would understand that, Alex would. :::
Alex Vipond: "He's having a tough go of it." Alex understood. Perhaps too well. "There's not a lot that can be done. We'll just have to settle in and let him deal as he needs. There are no easy answers."
InkedPr1ncess: "Yeah, I think so too. I can't make him stick around and I don't really want to because I don't want to pressure him." It was as simple as that, she cared about him and wanted to help him, but right then there was nothing she could do. :::
Alex Vipond: "You're better off not getting involved. Not that deeply. The kid doesn't know his own mind, and is struggling with a weight that could take years, decades, to overcome. He's not relationship material." Alex wasn't trying to be mean, but it was in her, and Axle's best interest if that area of intimacy were not pursued.
InkedPr1ncess: "Yeah, I realized that already. I should have listened to you when you said it the first time. I care about him, but if we're not together I still want him to be safe." If that meant letting him go and finding his own way then she was okay with that. It bothered her, but only because she let it get to the level that she did. :::
Alex Vipond: "If there's anything I have learned over the years it's that sometimes you have to. If for no other reason than your own sanity." he gave his coffee a stir, then took a cautious sip. Yes, he'd had more than one failed relationship. Alea was merely the first, the life changing, holy shit I am going to hell relationship.
InkedPr1ncess: "You are right again. How do I tell him that? His stuff is still at the house, I don't want to just throw it out when he has no place to go." Some things had to happen but she didn't want anyone to get hurt in the process. :::
Alex Vipond: "I'll take it to the condo. I already offered him the place. Hopefully he'll take me up on it when he gets back. As for how you tell him, simply let him know that's what I did." Alex shrugged. "I'm sure he will understand."
InkedPr1ncess: "Who's another wise man, Alex? You're not little and green like Yoda and you're not old and wearing a diaper like Gandhi. We need somebody else you can be as cool as." It sounded like a good idea and she would probably do it the next day since she wasn't working at the shop. "You and Meghan still are coming for dinner? It doesn't look like it will be a big crowd." :::
resonant fury: You know if it wasn't for the fact that society demanded the use of clothing than he'd not have to visit thea few other odd ends. Once he had made a very quick trip, a drink of something to perk him up was needed and thus he came with his amber and bourbon scent to heading right into the Starbucks. A wave tossed towards Alex and Brenley as he moved to place his order, just a straight black coffee today. [d]
Alex Vipond: "I think you got it backward. People should aspire to be as cool and wise as me." he nodded. "And yes, we are coming for dinner." A nod was given as Michael wandered in, and then he looked back at Bren. "Who all is coming?"
InkedPr1ncess: "That's exactly right. I have yet to find someone as cool and wise as you. As for dinner, I really don't know. I updated everyone, but I haven't heard back. But if just you and Meghan come, that will still be awesome. You can even get out of dressing Goth if you want to." :::
Alex Vipond: "Hey I got my suit all laid out." And he'd not worn it since he made the Tonight video so... prior to that it had been oh about a hundred years, which just proved that if you wait long enough, everything comes back into fashion, even if only for costume parties.
InkedPr1ncess: "Well, just didn't want you to think you had to. But if you are, I'm still gonna." No doubt Alex would come pimped out with Meghan on his arm. "I'm so glad you could eat now, I want you to enjoy the food too." :::
Alex Vipond: "You and me both." Alex nodded. His ability to eat had been due either in whole or in part by his bonding with Meghan, and or his maintaining a well fed diet of blood. Either or, or both. It was something he no longer dwelled on, simply appreciated.
InkedPr1ncess: "You won't have anything super spicy or that will make you puke your guts up, so don't worry about that. I tried to find things that everyone would like." She still thought that was pretty amazing after all. Her drink was finally finished off and she looked around, just to people watch for a few. "Hmm, I wonder what Meghan is going to wear. Have you seen it yet?" :::
Alex Vipond: "She was still looking, I don't know if she's found anything yet." He had to admit, he was excited about the party. Parties were fun, and any chance he could to get Meghan into a dress, he would use to the fullest. "I offered to help but then we'd spend all our time in the fitting room and damned little actually shopping..." He shrugged. It happened. They were like teenagers at times.
InkedPr1ncess: "Like I said, I got lots of spaces at the house, long as you don't use the table to my knowledge. I like you guys a lot, but not that much." Long as she was with friends, she didn't mind if there were a lot or only a few. And seeing Meghan again would be nice. :::
Alex Vipond: "Well, I think I am going to go find her and see what she's up to, or into. Or... out of...." he smirked and rose. "Thanks for the coffee. See you tonight." And he was off to find his wife and whatever dress she'd found to wear tonight.
InkedPr1ncess: "For sure, see you then." She could only imagine how that would go. She needed to get home too, put stuff away and call the caterer to tell them there would likely be a smaller crowd. :::

Alex Vipond: Alex rather liked the mall. There were people milling about, going about their lives, though at this time of night, about the only thing open was the theatre and a few concessions in the food court open for the late night movie goers. Alex was up on the promenade, looking down at the level below and the few random people wandering there.
DoII Fangs: And she was t h r i l l e d to be at the mall because she was never, ever allowed to go to places like that. Dressed in a finely spun dress of pale lilac and matching ballet flats, she wandered on the first floor, hand in hand with Jack. The rosy glow against her cheeks and the rosy color to her lips was a good indicative of how she was able to be in the mall and on such good behavior.
Alex Vipond: Alex spotted her, a smile given. He glanced around, and up at the security cameras, then sighed. Modern technology could be such a drag at times. He pushed from his lean on the rail and headed down the stairs. He Alex Vipond: called out in that lower frequency only they could hear, "Nadia..."
DoII Fangs: She turned little face towards the awful smell of slushee's or Slurpee drinks or whatever they were. "Make my stomach hurt," she lied to Jack, complaining about the offensive smell of synthetic mango and false papaya. Hearing her name on another volume, she turned and grinned, apple cheeks lifting. She and Jack headed that way to meet up with the Rock Star. "Good evening!" She did that awful formal head bowing thing and Jack up-nodded.
Alex Vipond: Jack's upnod got one in return and little Miss got her first lesson in dap. Alex took her hand and showed her the first few basic moves, and then walked through it at real time. "That's how you do it in the 'hood." One may not immediately correlate Seattle with gangs but they had their share, sadly. They did, however, learn swiftly whose toes not to step on.
DoII Fangs: What kind of vulgar modern common trash was this? She was certain it was something that only modern peasants did, but she was also thrilled to be hip and assimilate. Nadia furrowed her brows in what she hoped was a fierce expression, one that said don't fuck with me -- but she lost any potential street cred when she giggled widly. "Alex. I am how you say --hips ster-- now." She meant hipster.
Alex Vipond: Alex chuckled and nodded. "That you are." The kid would have more tear tatts than any gang banger, without a doubt, but to look at her she was just the sweetest most innocent thing you'd ever seen, rotten little giggle notwithstanding.
DoII Fangs: Wait. She was onto something. She just got a flash of brilliance. Nevermind that Alex-Jack and Ctepah always saw right through her ideas, she never realized that. She spoke on their own level so nobody else would hear. "I am thinking, have idea," and any time she started with that, something wrong was coming. "What if drink bad person in 'hood? You know like Robin Hood. Be doing other humans a favor."
Alex Vipond: "Well if you have to drink someone, someone bad is always best." he leaned down and whispered, despite speaking in that sub human frequency range. "They taste better, but... overall, it's best to leave the blood in them, and let them deal with their own problems. Besides, I gave you a hook up to the good stuff." Smiling to her, he reached out and gave a gentle tug to a lock of her hair.
DoII Fangs: She knew he was going to no-sell her. Knew it. Nadia bobbed her head and maintained her amiability. "I drink before I come to mall. From your bottle." She canted her head this way, then that, thinking about it A look given to her friend which clearly said that there was nothing like sinking one's fangs into a vein. She wanted a nice thick forearm or sweaty neck. A cheerleader. A State trooper. A mom of three. -- She wasn't picky about the food. She just wanted the kill. But they were all stuck in Vampires for the Ethical Treatment of Humans so she bobbed her head. "You are shopping for blue jeans for London show?"
Alex Vipond: "Eh..." he shrugged as he rose, speaking once more in a normal tone. "More like window shopping and ... people watching." It wasn't that he wasn't aware of the scant people around them, whose numbers would increase once the movies let out, on the contrary. He was very much aware of them. Their scent, the way they moved, and yes, the thought of tapping a vein was always there. Like any addict, it was a daily struggle. One made more difficult by the fact that his addiction was also his food source.
DoII Fangs: She too, retained her normal tone once he stood. "I window shopping too," she chirped. Though she would drop some dough in a heartbeat if she found anything worth her consideration. But she was old school royalty. It wasunlikely she'd find anything worth deliberating on, which led to this. "I wonder have they any nice chantilly scarves. Or new pearl earrings." Tragically stuck in another time still. She let go of the Lycan's hand and caught Alex's for now. "I was going to buy the --how you say-- Ray Ban's." Because she'd heard of them in two songs and seen them in movies. But since she never went in the sun, well nevermind.
Alex Vipond: "Saks." he nodded. "They've got killer designer scarves." His hand closed over hers as they started down the mall. "For jewelry I prefer Tiffany's, I got Meghan's pearls there, though I did buy our wedding rings at Macy's. They had these killer chocolate diamonds in strawberry gold." As for the Ray Ban's, "Wayfarers?"
DoII Fangs: "I like the Tiffany's. Is there one near?" She lifted big blue eyes to him, interested, her apple cheeks and lips stull flushed with rosy color where she'd had a Starbucks of the AB Positive variety. Her brow tipped up when he mentioned the rings. Alex had good taste, impeccable really -- and that was rare for a Rock Star (yes, she was always this judgmental). "Yes the Way-Fay-Err's." So much for nailing that pronunciation! She peeked over just making sure Jack was still there, which he was. He was like her security blanky.
Alex Vipond: "Three actually, one on 26th Avenue, one on Pine Street and one in... well, Belleview. Close enough." Alex did have excellent tastes. A throw back to his days of the French court perhaps or maybe he just happened to have good taste. He did however like a lot of things. He had one of those gaudy plastic Chinese good luck cats in his studio, its arm waving perpetually.
DoII Fangs: "We can go there maybe?" The Tiffany's. Robin's egg blue was such a cheerful but subdued color. Nothing like fuscia which was cheerful but classless. She thought of something else she'd been meaning to tell him. A little sigh given "Alex I forget to tell you this. I have friends now. In Germany. Have two. Libby and brother." What? She was a royal. She had no idea what the boy's name was. His name, for Nadia, was brother. Libby & brother.
Alex Vipond: "Sadly, they're closed now." Alex looked down at her and smiled, their hands swinging slightly between them. Libby and brother. "This is good. Maybe one day I will be able to meet them." He paused to look at a window display and then looked back at Nadia. DoII Fangs: "They should open for us. Just humans working there." Humans were s u p p o s e d to serve them. Well anyway about her friends. She let go of his hand and clasped both of hers cause this was important. And he was going to make a big deal like Ctepah did and it was nothing. "Libby is seven. Brother only five. I see bigger kids picking on them. How you say, bullies." Even Nadia could not stomach seeing the weakest and scrawniest mistreated. It was all very Let the Right One In. "So I go now and sit with them. No bully come round if I am there." She was already looking at him for him not to make a big deal. This one show of her tiny black heart didn't mean that she felt anything for human animals. She was squirming because of it. Conflict. Compassion -- it was a feeling that made her feel like she had indigestion.
Alex Vipond: "That's good." Alex smiled. "They're part of your crew." He squatted before her, one foot planted flat as he rested on the ball of the other, elbows on his knees. "You look out for them, take care of them." The more acclimated she got to people not being solely a food source, the easier time she'd have of it. Alex saw this as a positive step.
DoII Fangs: Plus she might get to eat one of their bullies and she'd still come out looking good -- yes? No? Ok then. She was actually serious in this, she didn't like little kids being picked on. She bobbed her head at Alex, apple cheeks again rising. "I will. Promise. Looking out for Libby and brother." She took them pies, cakes and she gave one of her favorite dolls from Paris to Libby! And that doll had a Marc Jacobs dress! "Guess what? Ctepah say Jack can hang back now when I am with Libby and brother." That was telling. That's how much blood-free time she'd spent with them!
Alex Vipond: "Excellent." Alex nodded, a smile lighting his face. "You are doing just fantastic." Still the blood thirsty little demon, but she was working on it. One day at a time. Like the rest of them. Well, some of them. "I am sure they appreciate your efforts."
DoII Fangs: Her shoulders lifted and then lowered at his praise, in this pleased-as-punch manner. Well really she was tickled, she had a crew! She had an entourage. Despite her lofty mannerisms, she giggled helplessly and tickled at her Rock Star friend. She wasn't blood thirsty. Yet. That'd happen when the movie let out and all of those veins and pulses came walking out. She had more compassion for the popcorn they ate than the move goers themselves.
Alex Vipond: Well there was that. Alex smiled at her pleased as punch expression. She would have to be able to handle herself in such a crowd. Especially in a week's time when it came time for the show in London. "I don't have any more shows in Germany this tour, but I would love to meet them some day. Perhaps some time in September. I will be heading back to London for a show at the O2 on the 27th. I could change my flight plans and leave a week early, stop in Germany and meet your crew."
DoII Fangs: She could handle herself in a crowd! Usually! It was like a fat person trying to ignore the call of Orange Julius and Cinnabon, one must preserver. And occasionally like any dieter she slipped up and tore someone to ribbons. Like a piranha in pink ballet tights and soft curls. "Oh yes Alex!" This thrilled her, the thought of Alex coming to visit! Instantly she was doing that squeaking noise that only dolphins could hear. Tickled! Then she scowled. "Can meet Ctepah's...human too I suppose." Upper lip lifting. "She from the New Orleans. She wear jeans." Which meant she was trashy.
Alex Vipond: Alex smirked at that. "You mean like mine?" Alex didn't only wear jeans, he wore some jeans that were so holey should be considered religious icons. "New Orleans a place rich in history for a country so young." Barely past the two century mark, Alex himself was older. DoII Fangs: Nadia loved being older than something or someone, made her feel wise and pompous -- she was never pompous otherwise, obviously. She giggled and waved a hand, the pearls on small wrist DoII Fangs: slinking. "Is alright for men to wear dungarees. Hers are tight. I don't like her -- she does smell good." She didn't like her because duh she didn't like a n y o n e who sucked up too much of her Maker's time, so there was some jelly with her donut. And she didn't like a n y o n e Ctepah declared off limits. Scoff. She didn't say any of this. She simply blamed it on the blue jeans.
Alex Vipond: Alex had a pretty good imagination, and the expression said enough. "Well, I should bring my wife. Perhaps they can mingle while we visit your crew." He paused. "Have they any parents?" He knew that children, even as young as those Nadia mentioned, often lived on the streets. If that were the case, something should be done about it.
DoII Fangs: "Yes please. Would love to see Miss Meg again." Plus if Miss Meg could keep the she-human from New Orleans occupied (and away from Nadia's Maker), or stick her in a burial plot somewhere, that would be divine. Then she bobbed her head. "Oh yes. They are how you say, middle class." This meant peasant to her, but they lived in a comfortable brick home. "I never let them be without parents or shelter. If they have no parents, I would take them home. Their father is how you say. Accountant."
Alex Vipond: "Accounting is good. I have a friend who is an accountant." Alex leaned in and whispered, "She helps me with my taxes..." He gave a sage nod. "And she makes sure that my money is spent wisely. Otherwise I may spend it all on Furbys." he nodded. Yes, he'd bought Kaly a Furby. And a some other toys but that was beside the point. Kid didn't have any and kids should be kids while they could. "Do you have a Furby?"
DoII Fangs: She lowered her voice to their brand of whisper, this was certainly something that could not travel. "Is it true if they drink your blood, you can sense when they are in danger?" Fledgling. She could have asked Ctepah this but she'd never given one iota of a damn about a human before. This was new. She smelled the synthetic fruit again from the closed up slushee place and again she lied and whined, "It's making me sick and giving me the bird flu." Well he distracted her with the question so she forgot her peril. "No. I should get a Furby?"
Alex Vipond: "If you want, I will get you one. They're little robotic animals that can speak in their own odd little language.” He shrugged. "They used to be able to mimic anything they heard, like a parrot but someone took one into a highly confidential government meeting and the things were banned from that point forward. After that, they kind of removed that feature and made them speak a made up language." As for the other, he dropped his voice into that low frequency. "If you give them your blood, yes, you will have a psychic link to them, but it will only last as long as the blood is in their system. Once it is gone, the link is broken."
DoII Fangs: "Yes, please. I want to hear Furby language.-- Maybe I get some for Libby and brother. Or some candy from the Seattle." Or something. Maybe she could sweet talk Alex into going shopping tomorrow -- things for Libby and brother, andfor Nadia and anyone Alex wanted to shop for! She had a sleek plastic card with Ctepah's name on it! Now she listened, and then nodded. "I do that when I get home." Give them her blood. She was going to do that -- unless he saw some reason not to? She was peeking at him then for his approval or objection. She valued his opinion highly.
Alex Vipond: "Well, before you do that you have to understand, they will know what you are and that could pose a risk to you, and thereby them. People do not look favorably upon our kind. We are different. We are stronger. They don't understand us. And what people do not understand, they fear. Think carefully of all the possible repercussions of your actions, before you do them. I did not tell my wife for some time. When I did... she was frightened. Not of me, but of what she didn't understand. As I explained things to her, she came to understand them and her worry went away. But you have to understand, Nadia. For centuries, our kind has been looked upon as monsters, as vicious animals meant only to be slaughtered, and books, television and movies have not done anything to help that image..." Well, except Anne Rice, she at least got it more accurate than anyone has to date. And don't get him started on Stephanie Myers. That chick should have been aborted in the womb.
DoII Fangs: She listened in earnest, paying attention because he was educating her and she had a lot of thinking to do. She didn't think Libby and brother would rat her out -- but then again the 'brother' was only five. Nadia sighed. She didn't know how to keep tabs on brother so well without having him drink her blood, but a five year old couldn't handle that. Maybe neither of them could. She looked down still and nodded, a bit sad -- not at Alex but at her thoughts. "I speak to Ctepah about it. Thank you Alex. I think I rest now. Maybe we shop tomorrow or take Gus to big park?"
Alex Vipond: "We will, possibly both, depending on how soon we can be out and about." he smiled at her and rose. The movie was letting out and it was time to beat feet home. Meghan was curled up in bed and Alex wanted to be curled up around her.
DoII Fangs: She grinned at him in thanks and hugged him tight before she turned, catching Jack's hand to head back to the lavish hotel.

Terri x Kurai: Lethargic. Drowsy... just a couple of words that could be used to describe the vampire that had been compelled to leave the dark confines of her home in the pursuit of a necessity. Preferrably before the mall closed and Eros opened. Waking Terri up for an outing was like trying to extract teeth from a shark still swimming - difficult was an understatement. Sunglasses perched on her pierced nose, hands shoved into the pockets of her hoodie, black and red bobbed hair tucked beneath her hood... there was hardly any skin left to show as she leaned against the wall waiting for the saleswoman to return with a pair of shoes she intended to buy.
Alex Vipond: Alex was roaming the mall, he did that sometimes, just to have something to do, not that he necessarily intended to buy anything, but there was a holiday coming up and he'd yet to do anything about it. He was definitely slacking this year. Usually he had his holiday, birthday, whatever purchases done well in advance. Not so this year. He'd been behind the eight ball so to speak. Since the tour ended he'd been like one of those sharks, albeit slow moving and lethargic. Tours really took a lot out of him, mentally as well as physically and while the physical was recovered from, the mental wasn't as of yet. That fact might have been somewhat represented in the shades he wore on his face, despite the sky being blanketed by clouds and weeping down on the city. Or maybe he was still feeling the Superbowl... Fucking damned Bevell.
Terri x Kurai: Terri took the shoes when they were brought up, a murmured thank you given, before she'd go to the counter and pay. Shoes in the bag, she started to head out of the store, her hand pulling her phone out of the pocket of her hoodie. She started to tap out a text to Emilio when a shout made her look up. The shout was insignificant, but who she saw sauntering along on the other side caught her attention. Erasing the text she started, a lopsided smirk given as she'd tap out a stalker-like text to Alex instead. I see you...
Alex Vipond: When his phone chimed in his pocket, his thoughts about Bevell and his bone headed call, and then blaming Lockette for not catching it, when he wasn't open to begin with... It was a welcome distraction. Pulling it from his pocket, he checked the screen, smirked and then started looking around. When he spotted Terri, he waved; then texted back. Food court.
Terri x Kurai: Don't tease. Too early. Now she was just being a pain, changing her direction to the suggested meeting point, phone being tucked back into her pocket while lifting a hand to finally pull the hood off and push sunglasses up into her hair. As she drew nearer to the food court - a lazy wiggle of fingers would be given in greeting when spotting him.
Alex Vipond: Alex headed for the food court and gave her a shake of his head as they closed in on each other. "You're wrong, you know that?" Chuckling, he found a table where they could watch the people as they wander by and pulled a chair out. Dropping into it, he finally propped his sunglasses up on top of his head. Not like they'd hide who he was, though by and large, the crowd at home left him alone. Teenagers... They were the ones most likely to approach.
Terri x Kurai: "I never said I was right. Besides, you looked like you needed a laugh." Terri replied, dropping her shoes on the floor hap hazardously under the table before joining him in taking a seat. "You need a lesson in being incognito..." Terri replied, giving a motion to his sunglasses. "Just those don't cut it." Oh god forbid any teeny boppers came up to them now... she was not nearly enough ready to put up with the shrill screaming and giggling mass of them.
Alex Vipond: "Don't you know? These are my superspy shades. They're only one step down from the glasses with a nose." It wasn't that he was hiding; he just hadn't bothered to take them off. "It's my Blues Brothers phase?" Maybe that one would work. "Okay, I'm a lazy shit and didn't take them off."
Terri x Kurai: His first excuse, got the ominous eyebrow lift, which seemed to only go higher by a centimeter with each lame excuse. Though when he admitted to be lazy, Terri managed to crack a smile at him and shook her head. "Damn Alex, you sound like someone rained on your parade."
Alex Vipond: "What can I say? Bevell's a dick for calling a pass with twenty seconds on the clock. And to Lockette no less. If you're gonna pass, go to Lynch. They could have had that game and threw it away to a guy who was double covered. And then Bevell blames the wide receiver. Everyone's saying it was a conspiracy by the NFL because they didn't want Lynch to have to give more press where his sole response to every question is I'm only here so I don't get fined."
Terri x Kurai: After he finished the rant about the Super Bowl game, Terri just sat there in silence for a moment and stared across the table at him as though in evaluation. Finally, she shifted, crossing one leg over the other while arms folded on the table. She leaned over and spoke in a low voice - y'know, because this stuff didn't need to be broadcasted or anything... "You're not getting any at home are you Alex?" She asked point blank - maybe even a tad sympathetic? Hell take it how he wanted, she didn't care. But being this upset over a football game? Riiiight...
Alex Vipond: Over any football game? No. Over the God Damned, Mother Fucking SUPERBOWL? Fuck yeah! Alex just stared at her blankly as he tried to suss out the switching of gears. "How does my sex life equate to Bevell being a complete and total douche?"
Terri x Kurai: Yeah, well, the Superbowl to Terri was just another football game... she didn't even watch it... had it playing at the club, but that was the extent of it. The blank stare only drew a laugh - yeah, clearly one that she needed too being out and about earlier than usual. "Apparently it doesn't, but I'd thought I'd ask anyway just to make sure. Otherwise I'd of felt stupid just assuming and offering to take you home to that wife of yours."
Alex Vipond: "Nope, I'm good." he chuckled, then eyed the bag that held the shoe purchase she'd dropped at her feet. "So what you got in the bag, bitch?" Okay so yeah, he used to crack the fuck up at Andrew Dice Clay. Sue him.
Terri x Kurai: She gave him one of those 'uh huh' kind of nods - clearly not believing him. "For me to know and you to find out." She replied with a playful wink - yeah, right, it wasn't like it was a Victoria Secret bag or anything. Just some Skechers. "Shoes. The necessity of foot ware before the mall closed overruled the importance of staying indoors."
lethargic fate: The mall seemed a likely place to get lost in for a few hours, then it would be heading back out to see where she'd crash for the night. The worn clothes a couple of sizes too big and backpack that looked about as tattered. She had hitched a ride with one of the delivery drivers.. so the first on foot look around at the city. She wanted to get as far away from the south as possible.. this seemed to have done the job. She found herself a spot to stand to just watch people, now and again her weight shifted from foot to foot before the irritating rub at her left arm.
Alex Vipond: "You really should get out more. Come to the park with us. Gus would love to see you." Yes, his horse of a dog. A dog that not only was as tall, if not maybe taller, than he was when up on his hind legs, but also weighed about the same. Which was either saying a lot for the dog, or not much for Alex. From their spot in the food court, Alex continued to watch the ebb and flow of humanity as it passed by. His gaze shifted, the girl standing off to the side noted as well as her seeming agitated state. Pent up energy? Boredom? Or ready to take flight at a moment's notice? Alex pulled his gaze from the blonde and looked back at Terri. "So what kind did you get?" Because no he wasn't reading minds to know she'd bought Skechers.
Terri x Kurai: "Say when and I will endeavor to make it. Depending on the time naturally." Shadow wielder though she was, Terri wasn't a master. "Skechers... just... typical sneakers." A shrug was given. She wasn't usually hard to please, keeping things as simple as she could... though a thought did come to mind. "Speaking of getting out more. Didn't you just go on vacation? How was it?" Or was that for another time? She could've sworn he had mentioned it before.
lethargic fate: She had been watching others... just observing really until a couple rose up from a table , leaving their trays behind. Thank bloody God... she pushed off the wall and made a beeline for the table. Well it wasn't ideal, but a lot of times it was what it was. She moved toward the left overs and scooped up the tray they were on to find herself a place to sit down and pick through what had been left. It was all very ordinary really as she set the tray down at another table and dropped into the seat. The little wrinkle of her nose but.. beggars can't be too choosey as she pulled a bit off the half sandwich before taking a bite out of it. Ugh.. mustard.. what was wrong with people.. ah well. She shook the cup and tossed the straw out onto the tray before removing the lid. Better then dumpster diving... kinda.
Alex Vipond: "We decided to put it off. Charlie's been under the weather a good deal of late and we didn't really want to leave him alone. We're actually wanting him to move in with us, but.... So far no luck. He's an independent old coot." Alex caught sight of the movement out of the corner of his eye and though he didn't stare, he did track. Apparently the blonde fell into the 'bolt at a moment's notice' category. Alex wasn't going to be the cause of her bolting. He regarded Terri as she sat across from him. "Do you need any more people at the club? Maybe a waitress or a bar tender? Bar back?"
Terri x Kurai: "Ah... why not have it set up to have someone visit him every once in a while?" She suggested - not that she had experience with older family members that were aging. Terri had two that she called family, one was dead and the other half inclined to disown her in the worst of ways. When asked about employment at her club, Terri blinked then gave a half-hearted shrug. "Could always use more hands I suppose, though expectations are pretty high. Why?"
lethargic fate: She finally gave up on the mustard side of things and tossed bread to the side. She continued to look around at people as she figured a few had picked up on what she had done, but thus far no one was bitching. She glanced at the empty soda cup and considered asking for a refill but probably not the best of ideas. More sugar was not what she needed. The sandwich was gone quick enough as she sorted through the paper and trash. The bounce of her leg was constant as she pushed the tray forward until the glint of something caught her eyes...keys? Really.. hot damn, someone was looking out for her as she picked them up off the tray and slipped them into a pocket.
Alex Vipond: Alex gave a tip of head toward the blonde, even though his gaze remained on Terri. "Looks like she could use a job." Yes, Alex was the sort who took in strays, or championed their causes, rather. His wife wouldn't appreciate him bringing home a blonde to raise: Or a red head or a brunette for that matter. In fact it would likely be safe to say he'd end up sleeping with Gus.
Terri x Kurai: Terri had black hair did that count? Icy blues would shift with the turning of her head toward the blonde he was referring to. Now, while Alex had a bleeding heart, Terri's own was not so much as it had been before. One too many times of having the head chopped off when sticking ones neck out for another tended to do that. Her gaze shifted back to Alex, obviously warring inside over the decision. "What do you want me to do? Take it home like a pet?" She could likely offer the girl a place though... not necessarily at her place... but little small place perhaps. Gaze flickered over to the blonde again. "You're more human than me, you talk to it." It? Yep... nothing degrading really - though it certainly came off as such - but like Alex said - she needed to get out more. Get some of that humanity side back so to speak.
lethargic fate: She wasn't looking for handouts and thankfully couldn't hear the conversation that was taking place. The small shift in the seat again as she slipped her arms off the table and scratched at her left arm. Fourteen days was what it took to break addiction right? Yeah for maybe Oreos or some shit. She'd do better, or that was the motto in her head. Everyone had a past; most time they made one look at their own like, well maybe it wasn't too bad? Though Lola knew hers wasn't just stupid decisions, but new place. New faces... had to get better from here. She glanced around and caught the sight of the woman looking at her as the suddenly nervous grin touched her face. Had she seen her take the keys? Shit, ok, damn it. She shifted a little in the chair and looked down. No, it was a chance to get a reward, money, hell this is what got her where she was. Fuck balls and peppermint dicks... she rocked a little bit before the keys were taken out and set out onto the table as she stood up. Damn it ok this was gonna suck going clean.
Alex Vipond: "Like I said. You need to get out more." Rising, Alex moved over to the girl's table and sat down, an easy smile given the girl. "Sorry, I don't mean to be rude or nosy, but are you by chance, looking for a job?" No, he wasn't offering a hand out. A hand up, sure. Not a hand out. "My friend over there has a night club, and she could use a bar back. Someone to keep the coolers stocked, the glasses clean, take the empty out and make sure full ones are put in their place. Sound like something you'd be interested in?" Alex knew well about addiction, though, generally when he fell off the wagon as it were, people ... died.
Terri x Kurai: How difficult could it be? Poor thing had no idea... that was another thing she needed to forewarn Alex with - granted, the club was neutral grounds and they had humans coming and going all the time, most of the employees were... well... not always human. And those that were, well... that was difficult to explain. However! Texts exchanged a couple times before phone was put away and she lifted a hand to cradle her chin in her palm, eyes glancing over to Alex and blondie.
lethargic fate: She was staring at him a little confused as she was trying to keep up with him. " Club Eros... Queen Anne.. Downtown.. "She nodded and tried to lock all that down in her mind. It wasn't to say it was an easy thing to do. The glance toward the woman on the phone. " what.. time should I be there? " The inquiry was given while she wished the twitches would stop or that maybe they didn't notice them? This was it.. a chance to stand on her own right? " How much is minimum wage up here? "She added the rest of that , as she chewed on her bottom lip trying to keep focused. Not exactly an easy thing to do.
Alex Vipond: "If you need help getting there, let me know." He pulled a Sharpie, yes a sharpie, out of his hip pocket, dangerous place to carry it maybe, but easy to find, and then he pulled one of the wadded up pieces of paper over and wrote his number down on it. "If you need directions or a ride, let me know. It's kind of hard to find." He recapped the Sharpie and tucked it back into his pocket, then slid the scrap of paper he'd torn off across the table to her. "I'm Alex, my friend who owns the club is Terri."
lethargic fate: " No.. I.. I'll find it.. " She shook her head and looked at the piece of paper as she willed her hand not to shake as she picked it up and tucked it into her pocket. " Um.. Lola.. nice to meet you.. " She continued to repeat the names in her head. Alex and Terri Alex and Terri.. Tex and Larry.. No.. no no ..shit.. Terri x Kurai: He was so full of himself! Carrying a Sharpie at the ready! That brought a snicker as she looked away, feeling her phone vibrate she took another look at it though didn't bother sending one back this time and simply went back to watching the two.
Alex Vipond: "It's nice to meet you as well, Lola." HEY! Mobs of screaming teenagers. They caught you at the oddest times, and if you tried to duck them they followed you, even if you ducked into the men’s room. He'd learned the hard way to keep one on hand. Call it self-defense. Rising, he started back to the table, then paused and looked back at her. "Would you care to join us?"
lethargic fate: The small shift in the chair as she glanced toward the woman then back to him as she shifted. "Um.. sure.. ok.. "She was really trying to convince herself that she wasn't going to freak out. The small push of the keys .. so when someone came looking they were right there. There was no attempt to make herself look any better because well.. yeah.. good luck with that as she was a bit skittish as she approached behind him.
Terri x Kurai: He was bringing it over? Gah... brows furrowed a bit as he started back toward her, icy blues shifting between him and the blonde. Lowering her arm, she sat up, not yet saying anything, though she would attempt to look friendly - giving a tight-lipped smile - sometimes fangs scared people y'know? No matter what excuse you gave them.
Alex Vipond: Retaking his seat, he gestured to one of the empty chairs at the table, then glanced around the food court. "I'm gonna get a pizza, be right back." And he was up again and moving. He stood in line, waiting, and glanced back at the girls.
lethargic fate: She looked at the woman that didn't seem overly pleased. " hello.. "She offered quietly as she shifted to sink down into the empty chair... then he was gone again. The hazel eyes flickered off that way before looking at the woman. " Um.. Alex said you needed someone to work for you? "She spoke quietly and didn't quite meet the woman's eyes as she found a bit of frayed thread on the shirt she wore and that held her attention and kept her fingers busy.. so .. win/win right?
Terri x Kurai: Oh that was nice... let’s set her up why don't we? A glare was sent to Alex when he looked back before she turned to look at blondie again. Ah... the girl had a voice... great, that just meant she had to talk back to it. "I could use a hand, yes." She replied... "Any sensitivities to loud sounds or flashing lights that I need to know of?" Hey, it was a legit question...
lethargic fate: Thankfully she had missed that glare. " No ma'am. "She kept herself respectful to the potential employer. The glance up to and the quick and nervous smile.
Alex Vipond: She could have epilepsy or some shit. Alex got his turn up at the counter, ordered standard pepperoni with cheese, and three Sprites because appearances! Once he paid for it, he waited for the pizza to be done and when it was boxed and handed over, he took it and the drink caddy he'd been given, as well as some napkins, back over to the table.
Terri x Kurai: Yes, epilepsy... something like that. Terri looked up at Alex rejoined them. Mm... pizza... how long had it been since she helped herself to the typical American diet staple? She'd almost forgotten what it'd taste like... not that she could even. Blinking, she looked over to blondie again. "Just Terri." She corrected... she was, after all, perpetually the age of eighteen even though mentally she was older. "That's good... because it is loud, lots of bodies, and lots of flashing lights..." Stating the obvious.
Alex Vipond: Stop fussing and just play with it like you mean it. She really, really needed to learn to blend in. When she got up and made her excuses, Alex shot her that, And you say I need to get laid? look. One brow rose and then he looked back at Lola. "More for us." Not that he'd eat much. As it was, he'd have to purge like a teenaged girl.
lethargic fate: She winced when the woman snapped at him as she gave a nod. " What time would you like me there? "She asked quietly before the woman could up and disappear in her irritation. She looked to Alex and gave a small nod when he said more for them. Unfortunately she wouldn't feel the need to purge , but she would gladly stuff most of that pizza down her throat. It was hot.. and not half eaten! Woo hoo! ahem.
Terri x Kurai: Blending in? Easier said than done. But he would certainly get that one finger salute for said look and turned around while pulling her phone out of her pocket to make a phone call.
Alex Vipond: Alex smirked and gave a chuckle; then looked back at Lola. "So..." Alex took a bite of his pizza and chewed slowly, "You said you just got here. Got here from where?" He reached for his Sprite and took a sip, before setting the cup back down.
lethargic fate: She didn't get an answer but tat was alright, she was eating , and realizing how hungry she was as the hazel eyes looked at him surprised for a moment. She continued to chew before talking. " Um.. down south.. um.. Mississippi.. " she guessed, because honestly she wasn't entirely sure where.. only it was hot.. and she wasn’t entirely of her own mind when she left. Alex Vipond: Alex nodded. "Long way. I've been through there. Some beautiful country. Hot as fuck in July, August." Of course being in Seattle in February wasn't a walk in the park either, though for the opposite reason, although fifty degrees and wet was better than thirty something and snowing so... It all balanced out. "The offer stands for a ride if you need one. In the cold, in the rain, is no place to be waiting for a bus if you don't have wheels."
lethargic fate: She gave a small nod as she shifted a little. " yes.. I think so.. I don't remember seeing much of outside.. "She shifted a little nervously. " um.. yeah.. I might need a ride. "She spoke softly and swallowed a little hard. " Is it far from here? " She asked quietly.
Alex Vipond: "It's about fifteen miles so yeah. A ride would be good." Alex finished off his slice of pizza and then went to sipping his Sprite. "You just got into town? Do you have any place to stay for the night?"
lethargic fate: She was caught again with the pizza almost to her mouth as she looked at him ad shook her head. " I can find someplace.. I mean Walmart is open twenty four hours.. so.. it'll be alright. " She pointed out to him with a small half smile. Then well stuffed a bigger bite of the pizza into her mouth. Cheesy goodness righ there! The sprite was nearly gone by this point but if he looked she'd put a helleva dent in on the pizza.
Alex Vipond: "You can't sleep at a Walmart. There's a Hampton Inn near the club. We can get you set there, and it can come out of your wages on your first check. Just until you find a place." he didn't want her to think he was throwing charity at her. She was on her own two feet, she was just getting... an advance if you will.
lethargic fate: " Yes you ca.. in the bathrooms and changing rooms they don't look there very often "She pointed out and took a drink of the soda. The hazel eyes looked at him as she considered that. " um.. you don't think that is going to make Mary angry. she didn't seem all that um.. happy about talking to me or .. you know all that? " She pointed out to him. A little more talkative with a full stomach. Though that leg of hers continued to bounce in place.
Alex Vipond: "Terri and she hates talking to everyone. Give her time and she'll get used to you. Once she does... She'll still hate talking, but at least it will be less terse." Alex shrugged. He's said it before and he'd say it again. Terri really needed to get out more. See people as individuals not members of a herd.
Cutie Fangs: Hand in hand with Jack her guard (see: handler), the Little Russian emerged from Macy's with him and headed into the mall proper. She was dressed down since they were only at the mall-- being dressed down, of course meant that she was in another velvet smock, thick prissy tights and shiny Mary Jane's that chimed over the floor. In other words, she didn't do dressed down. Her English was as spot on as ever. "We go to --how you say --- food court now?" A ridic. term really, food court. Wasn't as if the peasants of Seattle had a King or Queen to rule over said food court. They didn't even execute people in there or have them fight with lions.
lethargic fate: She looked a little confused. " Terri.. right..... Terri.. not good with names. "She commented as she looked down. The slender hand lifted to rub the back of her neck. "Terri.. " She was trying to keep that in mind. " Why does she have a club if she doesn't like people? "
Alex Vipond: Alex looked at her for a while; then shrugged. "Everyone has to do something. As long as you enjoy what you do, that's all that counts right?" Terri wouldn't have opened a club if she didn't like the scene. It didn't take much for Alex to catch sight of the pint sized princess and he broke into a grin, one hand lifting to gain her and Jack's attention. He wouldn't be so crass as to yell across the mall. Okay yeah he would, but not in a level anyone could hear but those select few.
Cutie Fangs: Carefully she patted her hair with little pale hand, just making sure the dark milkmaid braids were still perfect. When a woman drifted by with a toddler, Nadia looked over with interest. Toddlers had the smoothest skin, not to mention all those glorious veins and untainted blood -- hardly a single free radical. This could have ended badly but hearing an unsaid summon from the Elder, her guard tugged her that way. It appeared there would be no Salem's Lot shit going on just yet. Bummer. Tap tap wen her Mary Jane's as she headed over, apple cheeks already lifting in tickled smile.
lethargic fate: The small nod was give as she went back to stuffing her face with pizza when he waved at the little girl and her dad? Maybe? She wasn't entirely sure as she drained the sprite in front of her with that noisy slurping of the straw at the bottom of the cup. She set it down as she picked up a few napkins to wipe off her hands. The slender young woman sat in the chair in clothes that were a couple of sizes too big and all have seen better days. " A friend I take it? "She asked him as she shifted a bit in the chair. Nervous.. was one way to put it.. especially the way the little girl looked at another kid.. that.. that couldn't be normal...not that she was up on what was normal but that certainly didn't appear to be.
Terri x Kurai: Speak of the devil - or, well, Terri in this case - she was making a come back to the food court, now carrying another bag of some kind. She was on her phone still though would be slipping it back into her pocket. "Geri..." She explained, looking mostly at Alex briefly. "Wanted me to pick something up for her." A shrug was given before icy blues shifted to the two new comers. Though these two she could sense obviously differences so her attitude would actually lessen... sort of... though, admittedly, the girl was cute. "Hi there."
Alex Vipond: As Nadia and Jack approached, Alex rose from his chair and held his arms out for a hug. "And how has my little babushka been?" No, he had no clue it actually meant grandmother. He didn't speak Russian. "How have you been?" He looked up at Terri as she came back. "Do I even want to know?" Probably not. "Nadia, Jack, this is Lola." He indicated the blonde at the table.
Cutie Fangs: Confession: Nadia was still thinking about the tot. For her, he smelled and looked like a bucket of KFC. Despite that thought, she was on her best behavior lately because she wanted The Sims 4. The smell of human food caused a mild look of disdain to strike over doll features though admittedly she had more empathy for the cows that these people consumed then she did for the humans themselves. Jack let go of her so she could hug Alex and pop a sugar kissie to his cheek, and then she was quiet --seen but not heard-- like all well behaved kids born in 18Something Moscow. Though, she did peek around to speak to both women present. Lightly, she bowed her head to them. "Good evening. Is nice to meet." And silence. Back to holding Jack's hand and concentrating hard on the Sims wish.
lethargic fate: The blonde tried to squish down further in the chair as if to hide from people as they all came together. She didn't say anything at all when Terri walked back up. The hazel eyes flickered around to the gathering as she offered a faint nervous sort of smile, only then did her foot stop bouncing.. just briefly. " Hello. "She spoke up finally. " I'll .. be right back. "She blurted out and all but rolled out of the chair and started toward a door. Well she needed a cigarette.. after eating and all that. While she rathered it was her favorite sort of drug.. nicotine would have to do.
Terri x Kurai: Alex might not speak Russian, but Terri knew a little here and there only because her Sire had been a world traveler... so his mistake was caught and it made her snicker. Icy blues looked over at Lola as she made a run for it. "Skittish little thing ain't it?" She asked - to no one in general... but it was out there. Gaze shifted to Alex, however, as she side stepped in - giving a wink to Nadia - and leaned over his shoulder. "No, you probably don't want to know... but Geri will happily show you if you ask I'm sure." Yes, she was evil.
Alex Vipond: Alex looked after Lola as she bolted and then back to Terri. "I get the feeling things have not gone well for her," he shook his head, and then chuckled at the mention of Geri wanting to show him what she'd wanted purchased. "I think I'll pass." He glanced toward the door again, and then looked back at Jack and Nadia as he retook his seat. "Sit, stay a while?" We were just people watching.
Cutie Fangs: She was used to the Rock Star calling her grandma but Alex could do no wrong! Her head tilted like a curious puppy when the she-human Lola skittered off. She caught the woman's scent as she went by and naturally, Nadia wanted to chase her, tackle her like some vicious little tree frog and drain her like a white chick with a Starbucks. Instead, she giggled musically at Terri's comment. "Like a little shooting gallery duck waiting for the bullet." Gun slinger motion given with little hand before she took a seat, completely behaving. Seriously you could see a halo. Doll smile given to Alex. "Am well. Behaving. How is Alex and Terri?" Jack, who knew her well, gave her the warning. And in turn, she studied her cuticles like a pompous little shit.
lethargic fate: She hit the doors and drew in a breath.. the hands shook as she looked around. Right.. air.. deep breaths of air. She needed it more than the heroin. Ok that was a flat out lie. She tipped her head up and felt the cold rain as she sighed , her right hand scratching at her arm. Before she pulled the tattered backpack around to dig through it to find a cigarette. She could do this.. she could walk away from it.. she could! God it felt like her skin was wanting to be peeled off.. as she pushed herself into a corner so that she could light it. Once lit she drew in a deep breath of the tar and bitterness. Right..ok.. things weren't that bad.. creepy people.. a new job.. the possibility of a hot shower she didn't have to share.. not bad.
Terri x Kurai: Geri didn't want to show him, just if Alex ever got curious about the particularly busty Eros bartender, he could ask and she would show him. She pulled over a chair from a different table and sat down, in time to catch Nadia's comment which made her laugh. "Never heard of it put quite like that before, but definitely." A nudge given to Alex then. "Why didn't you bring her to Eros?" Her, of course, being Nadia. Icy blues looked back to the Russian. "Behaving, like you." Nod was given.
Alex Vipond: "We're all on our best behavior." No biting for anyone. And that whole free radical thing... was why Alex liked the bottled stuff. There weren't any free radicals in cloned blood. He did miss the fang to flesh though... If his eyes glaze over for a moment, don't mind him.
Cutie Fangs: Everyone was behaving. She waited patiently and with perfect posture, for the Misbehaving portion f the evening to commence. And for the love of God, what kind of music was being filtered into this place? Tchaikovsky rolled in his grave somewhere and the Russian tuned it out, all about that bass something or other. It was painful. She tipped big lamb eyes towards the others and shifted some, doing some people watching as the Elder had said they were doing. For her, people watching really consisted of an AB Positive walking by. Not a single one so far but the night was young. Actually, one man who smelled like AB Positive did wander by but he was wearing Reeboks and for her, Reebok was the epitome of American Fast Food. She wanted fillet mignon, you know?
lethargic fate: She just stayed crouched down and smoking the cigarette watching people come and go out of the rain into the mall. The deep breath was taken in as she tried to get a handle on the worst part of the withdraws. She really didn't need her new employer to see her like this.. fuck.. FUCK.. it could mess up everything right? Just she needed to get a grip.. thats all.. trying to remember what the pamphlet said at the rehab she had walked into.. of course she had walked right back out when they wanted her to fill out papers. With luck , Terri wouldn't ask the same...
Terri x Kurai: Filling out paperwork was sort of part of the process... there had to be an application on file for variety of purposes. Club Eros was, despite the people that frequented the nightclub, a legal business. Terri planned to keep it that way also. Nadia wasn't the only one that was tuning out the music coming through the speakers, a groan given before looking over to Nadia. "What kind of music do you like Nadia?" She asked.
Mister CoIe: ::Back in Seattle for the first time in a long time, it was pretty grim at the airport after the events of the Super Bowl. Mr. Club Manager/Owner had meetings in the city later, but had to stop by the mall for a bit in order to pick up a suit that he called in. The man in a white button down shirt and jeans looked far too casual versus normal as he stopped off at the food court for a bit, in order to grab a smoothie. The dashing man in his later 30's was contemplating his choices of what to eat or drink...the choices, the choices. What would he ever choose?:::
Alex Vipond: Don't get him started on that. Alex had already gone into a full blown rant about Bevell's bone headed call, and his subsequent finger pointing at Lockette. The least the offensive co-ordinator could do was man up and admit he laid his dick out and stepped on it. "Not Bieber." Thank God. Nadia had gotten over that stage relatively quickly.
Cutie Fangs: Out of nowhere she turned to Jack with another tween 911. "I get the Frozen movie while we are here please?" Jack might say no because of the look she'd given to that toddler earlier. Dang. While she waited for his verdict, she turned sweetly oversized eyes back to the older vampires, giggling at Alex's comment. No, she was no Belieber anymore-- she'd 'outgrown' him. "I like Tchaikovsky and Alex Vipond. I like Chopin and Bach very much. And Pharrell song, Happy." Actually she recently found Lords of Acid and loved them -- but she wasn't allowed to listen to them. Bummer. The guy in the white button down smelled divine. She followed him with innocent gaze for a second before frowning at her friends. "Wait. What is Eros?"
lethargic fate: The cigarette done with as she tossed the butt and drew in a breath. The shakey hands pushed the blonde hair back from her face.. since it was now wet.. but it had helped a little. The cold.. not so much but it seemed to helped her be al ittle more on the numb side. She walked back in the mall and back toward the odd gathering. Her eyes flickered off toward the other people inside the food court before she shifted a little and reclaimed her seat. " Sorry about that. "She stated quietly, shivering a little but even that was a bit on the welcomed side.
Terri x Kurai: "A music venue... Club Eros." Terri replied, when Nadia asked about it. As for the music, thank god the girl wasn't a Belieber... if there was one human that was on her instant kill upon sight list, it was him. At the mention of Bach and that really long one that, she nodded. "Classical music... you ever heard of a group called The Piano Guys? Look them up on YouTube sometime, might enjoy them." There were a lot of YouTube sensations, of course. She felt her phone going off in her pocket and pulled it out to give it a quick look over. "Alright - time for me to call it a night, at least here. I've a club that's hopping and I need to get going. So I will see you all later... pleasure to meet you Nadia." There was a pause as Lola made her return while Terri was getting up. "Lola... lets cancel tonight and get together tomorrow. Gonna need you filling out an application and all that fun stuff then give you a tour and so on." There was a lot that needed done before blondie actually started. A text was sent on her phone before a wave was given and she headed off. Alex Vipond: "Oh, and Lindsey Stirling. She's fucking awesome..." Okay he was gonna shut up. Leave him to his fandoms and just step away.
Cutie Fangs: "Goodnight," she chirped at Terri before turning curious eyes on Lola with her return. She probably would have stared with innocent gaze until it seemed a little Children of the Corn, but Alex and Terri both offered suggestions of artists she should look up and so she was fidgeting again, lifting her phone to make a note. Hopefully Jack would tell her Ctepah how good she was being. At this point, the entitled Russian felt like she should be rewarded for good behavior -- oh she wasn't asking much, mind you, any plump soccer mom would do.
Alex Vipond: Alex would gladly give her an offensive coordinator. The NFL wouldn't miss him much. Seattle sure as shit wouldn't. Alex would even let her torture the man. Okay maybe not, but it was a damned fine fantasy wasn't it?
Cutie Fangs: An incredible fantasy!
lethargic fate: She gave a small nod. " Um.. alright.. thank you .. M....>Terri.. "She remembered! HA! Though it nearly came out something else entirely. She looked back across the table to the pretty little girl staring at her. For a moment the soaked young woman returned the stare, though she wasn't really seeing Nadia as the frown touched her face. " How old are you? "She asked softly, her voice sounded distant and dripped with a moment of concern. " Is. that your Dad? "She asked looking at the man with her. That one she was a little fearful of, he was too quiet.. that was never a good thing. At least not in her experience.
Cutie Fangs: Jack was always quiet. He was a big tall son of a bitch in Harley gear, and he looked like he might have stepped right off the set of Sons of Anarchy. In fact, since the kid was safe with Alex, Jack turned to go outside and have a Marlboro and text his flavor of the week to arrange an ass-tapping later. As for Nadia, she turned big eyes on the woman. "Not my Dad. Is my Jack." So that explained everything so well. She peeked at Alex for help then gave a true answer. "Is guard." He kept Nadia safe-- as well as the general public. "Lady never tell her age or weight. Less you go first. Then I tell." She leaned forward, chin in her palms in case they were going to play.
Alex Vipond: Alex looked at Lola, then looked at Jack and then looked back. He was trying not to smirk, really and he lifted his Sprite and took a long pull from the straw to keep his lips from twitching upward. "He's her manny." And he really hoped Jack didn't hear that, he liked not being used to mop the floor.
Cutie Fangs: Manny. Jack was so going to cuss his ass.
Alex Vipond: Alex would try not to crack up. Really he would.
lethargic fate: She looked baffled by that as she slightly leaned away from whatever direction Jack took to walk outside. She shifted a bit in the chair, mind she hadn't taken off the battered pack, because well.. everything was in it. " Oh.. um. sorry.. " She wasn't sure why she wanted to shrink even further into her chair. " I.. um.. I should go.. I gotta get something from Walmart.. "She spoke softly as she gave a small nod. " thank you for .. the food.. and job." She spoke up to Alex " I hope you all have a good night.. "She spoke softly as she knew it was going to be a bad night, her hands were already shaking again.
Cutie Fangs: "Goodnight Miss Lola." All formal like, she bowed her head to the she-human. The fact that the woman's hands were shaking wasn't lost on her but Kiddo had no idea what was causing it. She leaned then in her chair like a little cobra, looking for White Button Down. He smelled sublime, like a tall pitcher of good stuff. Briefly she wondered if Alex would let her go drain him. She assumed it would be a no. What about Lola? Did they need her around and living? Because Lola smelled very good as well. Like fairy wine and gum drops. Lola was the Christian Dior perfume of human blood. So she smiled like a cherub. "See you soon."
Alex Vipond: "Hey, Lola, take this with you?" He closed up the pizza box, and slid it toward her. Then he reached into his pocket and pulled some cash, peeling out what he hoped was enough for a room and some essentials. "Here, take a cab to the Hampton Inn, get a room. If they have any issue, call me, and I'll get them squared away over the phone. Also..." he paused, and looked at her. "Try some chocolate. Dark chocolate, it's better for you, but pick some up okay?"
Cutie Fangs: "Me and Ctepah stay at Hampton." Which meant if Alex wanted the she-human to have a room there, she would have one. "I take care of it."
lethargic fate: She looked between the two of them.. as she shifted a little as she wasn't sure to take what they were offering. She was serious.. she'd sleep at Walmart.. she had before. The glance to the little girl.. then back to Alex. She looked down a moment then gave a small nod. " thank you.. "She spoke quietly as she slipped the pizza and money off the table. " I will pay you back.. " She made that comment with conviction. Thankfully however she didn’t know a dealer here.. that would be FAR too tempting. She gave another nod as she stuffed the cash into her pocket before heading toward the door again. Hampton.. right she'd get there.. and likely spend most of the night in disbelief.
Mister CoIe: ::He had decided on the smoothie and ordered a grape one, as David grabbed his order. Walking through the food court, seeing the little girl and the familiar looking man at the table. David stopped in front of the table, and looked to Alex, and said:: You look familiar, very familiar. You're a singer, right? ::He could envision seeing him in a magazine, and hearing his voice; but could not remember his name for the life of him::
Cutie Fangs: Since Alex was always keen on being a do-gooder, she dialed up Ctepah on her cell phone once more, speaking at first in choppy telegraph English before she and the man she called both fell into Russian. "Can get room for a woman who smell like rain? Called Lola." There was a lot of Russian then, phrases like peasant and not allowed to bother her being tossed around. When she hung up, she gave a thumb's up to Alex. ---- Was Nadia the only one who thought she should be rewarded with The Sims 4 for this act of kindness? God that guy smelled good. She stared at him innocently like a fat kid seeing a whole bag of Starburst.
Alex Vipond: Alex looked up at the man and nodded. "I am, yes." Hey, the dude wasn't a screaming teenager, so things were looking up. "Would you care to join us?" he gestured to the recently vacated seat, then looked back in the direction that Lola had gone. And no, he couldn't help but think of the Manilow song at just the thought of that name. And Alex just invited said bag to the table. Yay for temptation!
Mister CoIe: ::The man with the stubble and short dark locks looked around, looked at his watch and said to them:: Sure, why not? I got a few minutes. ::Glancing at the young girl, who David assumed was his daughter, he sat down and extended a hand to the man and said:: David Cole. It's good to meet you. ::Waving towards the young girl:: And what's your name? ::Things were a bit quiet for now; so he didn't mind chatting it up with a popular musician and the young girl staring at him::
Cutie Fangs: She peeked at Alex. This was basically what she'd waited for all day, someone who smelled like this. She would have bet he was AB Positive -- except only peasants and women of the night wagered. Ladies did not. Actually, she was afraid her fangs would, you know, make an appearance. She was like a preteen boy in that she could-not-help-it. Still she tried; she didn't want to be grounded after all. Faintly, she bowed her head like they were in 1832. "Am Nadia. Pleased to meet Sir." Pleased indeed. The guy smelled like a Slurpee. La la la. She thought about --anything-- else then.
Alex Vipond: "Alex Vipond," taking David's hand, he shook it and gave him a nod. "It's good to meet you." Alex could always order a well done burger and set it in front of her. Nothing like the scent of charred flesh to throw one off. "So, David, what is it you do?"
Mister CoIe: Alex, Nadia- good to meet you both. ::Smiling to them as they were starting their chat as David was asked about his line of work. David nodded and said:: I'm in Seattle to meet with some potential investors about a new club. I have two clubs, one in Miami and another in Vegas. ::Pulling out a business card, with his name, number and club ("The Lair"), and website address as David said:: Stopped by the mall to grab a suit that I ordered.
Cutie Fangs: Her gaze tipped down when the men shook hands. The he-human had a vein in his forearm that seemed to stand out like a gleaming beacon. We'll call that shade of vein Tempting Blue. Anyway, Jack was coming back in reeking of cigarette smoke. She got up from her chair so Jack could have it, and once the burley guy sat, she plunked to his lap like a rag doll. Grown as she tried to be, Jack was still like a security blanky for her -- even if he smelled like mangy dog (I mean Lycan), rain and Marlboro.
Alex Vipond: Aw, no cute puppy smell for Jack. Taking the card from David, he looked it over. "What sort of club?" When Nadia climbed into Jack's lap, Alex looked over at her and smiled, before he looked back at David for his response.
Mister CoIe: It has a nightclub meets S&M theme. I am in town because they are showing a premiere of the "50 Shades of Grey" movie at the space where the club will be. They want to piggyback off the movie idea. ::He laughed and said:: I've had the general idea as a theme of my club for years now. To be honest, I've never read the books. All I know is that it takes place in Seattle. But if I like what I hear, I'll invest in it.
Cutie Fangs: Sprite smile popped right back at Alex, she rag doll'd against Jack (who she really adored to no end, even if he was a Lycan). She was listening, quiet as she was taught to be while grown folks were talking. She did however lean forward and look back at Jack for an explination of S&M. The biker muttered Marquis de Sade back to her in reply and she nodded. She'd read about Sir Slap a Lot in 1890 or so when it was all the rage in Paris. Scandalous filth! The princess made a face of mild distaste and did her rag doll thing once more against her guard. She didn't know what 50 Shades of Grey was, she assumed it was some variety of paints by Ralph Lauren.
Alex Vipond: Alex hadn't read the book either but he'd heard enough to know it was about a misogynistic ass who liked to stalk college girls. Not that he'd ever done anything remotely related. No, following his wife home after they first met, and then tagging her sidewalk with brightly colored chalk he'd run to Walgreens to pick up didn't count.... Did it? "I have read them myself but they do seem quite popular."
Mister CoIe: That they do. We'll see what happens. I like Seattle a lot and think it could work here. Plus, the summers here are a lot easier to deal with than Vegas or Miami. ::A laugh came from David; knowing what the climates of his other two locations were like. Glancing over at Alex as he asked:: Do you have any new music on it's way?
Cutie Fangs: Little Bit's lashes were beginning to flutter a little and her lids were heavy. Though it was only around 10 a.m. for her kind, she'd had a big day and required a nap. And Jack knew his charge so he gently nudged her, and then he stood as well. The Russian bowed her head (and dipped to kiss Alex's cheek), and Jack up-nodded to them. She tucked her hand to Jack's and wandered off quietly so as not to interrupt Alex Vipond: "Yes, they are. Winters are a bit slippery but nothing that can't be handled with some precaution." When David switched topic to music, Alex nodded. "We just finished up the tour for the latest album in October. Currently I'm working on producing work for some other up and coming artists, and doing some writing of my own."
Mister CoIe: Very cool. It's always good to take some time off and take your time with your next album. Nothing wrong with it at all. ::Sipping on the smoothie as he was gonna do a bit of networking with Alex as he said:: With you being in the music scene, and being in clubs- if you know of anyone that is looking to partner with new clubs coming up- let me know. I'd like to sit down and discuss some ideas.
Alex Vipond: "Well I know two women who own clubs. There's Trinity, and then there's Club Eros. I can talk to the later, but the former, you're on your own." Alex chuckled. "She and I don't exactly get along." Might have something to do with the fact that they used to be lovers or the fact that Alea helped in the slaughter of his family or the fact that she was basically... a complete and total bitch.
Mister CoIe: ::He laughed about the Trinity comment, and said:: I'll steer clear of that one. But yeah, talk with the Club Eros people, and perhaps we can work something out. ::Glancing at his watch as he rose from the table and said:: I gotta go grab that suit. It was good talking with you. Call or text me when you hear something from the Eros people.
Alex Vipond: "I will do that." Alex nodded and lifted the business card, before he slipped it into his inner jacket pocket. "You have a good night, David."

Sarah E TayIor: What better place for a teen down in the dumps to go than a mall, right? Or so her Father thought so. In his 'teaching you to take care of yourself' fashion, he even gave her a credit card which she could use on the stipulation that she either find herself a part time job to pay for said card OR sacrifice her monthly allowance for the chores she did around the house to pay off any balances. And now, she was standing in front of a GameStop and peering inwhile mentally feeling that credit card burning a hole through her pocket. Lower lip being nibbled on as eyes flickered from one game to another through the window. Decisions, decisions... (done)
Alex Vipond: Alex had played hooky today, opting to hit the mall rather than stay in the studio, unable to concentrate on what he was doing. He couldn't help it. He was excited! The intent wasn't to buy but merely look but he'd ended up with some small stuff: a couple of onesie sets with accessories. He couldn't decide on the black or white so he got both. Now as he wandered through the mall he would pause, occasionally looking in through a window here or there as he regarded the items within as to how they would pertain to the Peanut. Yes, they were still calling the kid Peanut, even though the baby was now about the size of a small lime. Lime just didn't have the same ring to it. Kind of like the way he'd gone with the name Adrienne instead of Anne for a certain song. It just wouldn't have been the same, otherwise.
Sarah E TayIor: A nickname that will haunt them for the rest of his or her life. Arms crossed over her waist while she continued this immensely life challenging debate mentally with herself. Two sides to every argument... there was the fun and aloofness side saying 'Do eet!' while the kill joy was going 'Is it really gonna be worth losing the allowance to pay off?' Fingers tapping against her elbow she finally took a few steps back as if there was suddenly some random intervention. Turned out to be a good thing too, for as she started to slowly - excruciating painfully too - walk away, she caught sight of a familiar face. All too familiar... she'd seen his face plastered all over a friend's locker and bedroom back home. And while she wouldn't sidle up all giddy or anything, there would still be a grin - though more of mischievous intent. "You're Alex Vipond, right?" Nope, no gapping (or gaping?) mouth, high pitch shrieking... just a normal voice despite knowing the answer. However, there are a lot of celeb look a likes these days... (done)
Alex Vipond: Hearing his name, Alex paused, that signature white with black stenciling of the Rock Star Baby logo on it in hand as his head turned toward the girl. A smile was given and he nodded. "Yep. That would be me." And she was alone. Thank God. And she wasn't loud, squealing or giggling and drawing attention. Let's not have a repeat of the airport scene.
Sarah E TayIor: Score! That grin still there, she reached into her pocket for her cell and held it up. "You don't mind if I took a picture do you?" Then added on. "I have a friend, back home, who is a huge fan. She'd get a kick out of it." Yeah, a jealousy kick that was for sure. (done)
Alex Vipond: "Sure, not a problem." Alex smiled and nodded, a hand dragged through his hair as his gum rolled from one side to the other of his mouth. "So what are your names? You and your friend." One hand patted himself down to make certain he had a Sharpie because autographs often followed the request for a picture. Not that he had anything to sign at the moment.
Sarah E TayIor: Neither did she really, a picture was more than enough though. "I'm Sarah and my friend I call Lani, I can't pronounce her name for the life of me." She replied, waiting for when he was readily posing to take a shot with herphone. She didn't aim for a selfie, she felt lucky enough that he was ok with getting an impromptu picture! (done)
Alex Vipond: Alex was ready, a smile given, and fact that she didn't go for the selfie was a bit surprising, but he flashed rock and roll horns at her with his free hand. "Well it's good to meet you Sarah. Tell Lani hi for me." He smiled and then shut up so she could snap the picture. No he wouldn't go all Prince Phillip on her.
Sarah E TayIor: Truth of the matter was, Sarah was not as much of a fan as one would expect... but that didn't matter right? She sent the picture via text to her friend with 'look who says hi Lani!!!' tapped in before phone was slipped back into her pocket. "She is gonna freak. I'll have to make a note to carry paper in case I run into you again." Unless Lani sent up something else for him to sign for her. "So where's your guard people? They pretending to be ninjas or James Bond-ish?" (done)
Alex Vipond: Alex chuckled. "Total ninjas. If a mob starts chasing me, they jump out of the potted plants." He nodded, even though he was full of shit. Adrienne was out and about and Ian was with her. Alex was supposed to be at the studio, which, yeah, he wasn't, but he had been. He'd been working, but his mind it had wandered and he'd decided to hit the mall. "And what about you, where's your entourage? Lani isn't the only one is she?"
Sarah E TayIor: "Awesome!" Did she believe that? No, she wasn't that gullible... but it was the thought that counts right? "They're ninjas too, except mine come out of the walls since the plants are taken." She replied without missing a beat, she couldn't resist. Though in a more genuine tone... "Lani's back home in Hawaii, Dad and I moved out here a week or so ago." (done)
Alex Vipond: "Hawaii. Beautiful place. Which island?" Alex hadn't been to Hawaii since he and Meghan had gotten married... The second time. The 'official' wedding. The legal one had been in Vegas. The hand not holding the bag, literally not figuratively, was slipped into the pocket of his jeans if only to keep him from fussing with his hair.
Sarah E TayIor: "Yes it is." She agreed full heartedly and wistfully. "Oahu. Dad was stationed in Pearl Harbor for all these years and finally they drew his name out of the transfers hat..." She knew it didn't work that way, but it sounded good.
Alex Vipond: "Cool, that must have been nice to be able to go to the beach whenever you wanted to. I haven't been in a while, but I enjoyed it while I was there." He nodded, hand slipping from his pocket to brush his hair back from his eyes, before it slipped back into his pocket. Yeah, that hand in pocket thing didn't work all that well when you took your hand out without noticing.
Sarah E TayIor: "Was it ever. I didn't spend a day inside if I could help it." She said enthusiastically, though her thoughts were brought back to Seattle and gaze drifted over the mall goers not too impressed. "Two years and if I have it my way, I'm goin' back." She replied with a nod of her head... actually, it would be three since she wouldn't finish up school til she was eighteen, but that was beside the point. "So, what's fun to do here in Seattle? Been around the park once... haven't really gotten out to do much else." (done)
Alex Vipond: "There's all kinds of things to do. Pike Place Market, and if you go, don't miss the Gum Wall, and if you're into that kind of thing, there are ghost tours too. There's also tours of the buried city, what's left of it from back in the day when they finally decided to combat the water levels by abandoning downtown and building over top of it, and there's the trolley, and the Zoo Tunes at Woodland Park Zoo, and let's see...." he was trying to think of more things that didn't involve weed, coffee or beer and he was coming up short. "Oh!" he snapped his fingers. "If you like canoeing or paddle boating, there's that, and there's a paint ball but it's not at Gas Works Park, though that is worth seeing. And there are buskers just about everywhere in the downtown area if you wanna just wander around and give a listen."
Sarah E TayIor: Yeah, she wasn't a fan of coffee or smoking anything... alcohol she hadn't sampled yet, but never thought much about it either. "Ok, ok... you got me... so I haven't really been looking as hard as I should be..." A shrug was given. "Though the canoeing and paddle boats sounds like fun. I'll have to mention it to Dad. What's the Gum Wall?" (done)
Alex Vipond: "It's just... Gum. It's in Post Alley under the Pike Place Market. People just started sticking their gum to the wall and putting coins in it. A couple times the workers at the Theater scraped it away but they gave up when they realized it was more tourist attraction than eyesore. Some people actually create art works out of gum to stick on the wall. It was named one of the top five germiest tourist attractions though so you might want to make sure you look without touching."
Sarah E TayIor: "I... don't think touching will be an issue..." Sarah replied, scrunching up her nose. "I'll likely check it out though." (done)
Alex Vipond: Alex nodded and then glanced around before looking back at Sarah. "So do you have any friends your age here in town?"
Sarah E TayIor: "No... not yet. Been sort of in a fog since moving here..." Normally she would be at the beach with her friends, but being the 'new kid on the block' - and not as cool as the band - she was sort of out of her game. "I just need to get out more."
Alex Vipond: "I've got a nephew about your age, who's also fairly new to town. Maybe you guys can hang out together some time."
Sarah E TayIor: "Sure. What's he like to do? I was thinking of picking up some video games-" she hiked her thumb over to the game store. Then there was a pause and an eyebrow raised. "Man... must be rough related to you and watching those screeching banshees..." (done)
Alex Vipond: "Typical teen stuff. Video games, music...." Alex shrugged. "He actually worked security for me at a gig not long ago. Next time I book something I may have him do so again."
Sarah E TayIor: He had a teen working for him? Well, wouldn't hurt would it? "Hey, if you're hiring... school doesn't start til September." She would just toss that out there. She had done plenty of online applications, but one couldn't help but be impatient. (done)
Alex Vipond: Alex smiled and nodded, "Well I'm not sure what I have available but send a resume over to the office and we'll see what we can do."
Sarah E TayIor: "Resume?" She paused... ho boy. And it wasn't that she didn't know what one was... she just, never, made one... or needed to at that rate. "Would... a list of references be good enough?" Though then she started feeling that tell tell hunger pain and started looking around. "What's good to eat here?" (done)
Alex Vipond: "Well the office manager would have to know what your skills are to know whether or not she can use you." Alex looked over at the food court, then back at Sarah. "Food court has a little bit of everything."
Sarah E TayIor: "Haha... doubt she can, but I'll get one over some way or another." She said with a chuckle, gaze shifting to the food court that she had apparently been oblivious to until now. "So it does." A shake of her head given, observant real observant... "Well, was fun chatting with you, but the stomach growls." She said with a smile, even going so far as extending a hand to him. "And since Dad is working overnight, it's fend for yourself." And she would be fending for herself at one of the options there - preferably Chinese or Japanese even. (done)
Alex Vipond: "It was nice meeting you." Alex smiled and nodded, and then glanced toward the food court himself.
Sarah E TayIor: It was a food court, there wouldn't be any stalker vibes if he had the munchies too. She took up to standing in line for Sarku Japan, that teriyaki just screamin' her name. (done)
Ian Lighter: ::having been to radio shack to pick up a few electronic do-hickeys he needed for a project, he headed for the food court::
Sarah E TayIor: After the line dwindled down, she was finally next up to put in her order for rice with teriyaki chicken and other goodies they had available. Meal paid for, she picked up the tray and found a seat. (done)
Ian Lighter: ::looking at all the choices, he decided on Backyard Burger.. and went to wait in line to be waited on. Alex, once he got his burger, he moved over to share his table, excusing himself and nodding pleasantly to anyone he might accidently bump to get there::
Sarah E TayIor: Sarah took a bite and glanced up as the guy with the burger passed her by. Blinking, she looked over at the Backyard Burger, then back to him. "Now I'm wishing I'd seen the burger joint." She said with a chuckle and shake of her head. Another scoop of rice and teriyaki chicken was munched on. Thank God they served these things in to-go containers. She felt her phone going off in her pocket for time for her to run off if she was going to catch the bus ride home. Plastic fork temporarily stashed in her mouth, she closed up her food and bolted. (done)

Wrinkled Black: She chuckled as she returned the kiss, lingering for as long as possible before the light changed again. Poor Ian. "Though I'm kinda hoping Nordstrom has the stroller I've been looking at online. Not all of the stores actually have them in store, you know?" If this location didn't, she was going to have to do some calling around.
Alex Vipond: "If they do, do you want to pick it up while it's available?" Pulling off the five, he followed the parkway into the mall and cruised until he found a spot. Shutting the car off, he popped his door and rounded the nose to open Adrienne's. "I mean, it's better than waiting and having it be out of stock when the time comes, right?"
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne shook her head as she slid out of the car, giving him a kiss since he was right there. "Nah, I just want to see it. I don't think ordering will be a problem, there's tons of places online that sell it." She took his hand in hers, fingers lacing, as they headed toward the mall. "Never mind there's so freaking many of them out there, what if we get one and then find something better later?" Groaning playfully, she rolled her eyes. "It was so much easier when Louisa was born. We had a push pram that we walked her around the neighborhood with, and that was that."
Alex Vipond: "I can't recall what was used for Nicole." He shrugged. "There's not a good deal of difference in our age, and it seems that she was pretty much carried everywhere she needed to be." Stepping into the mall, Alex looked around and then headed for the directory. His lips pursed as he regarded it and then he pointed. "Look baby, it's psychic and knows where we are..." He tried to keep a straight face but failed.
Wrinkled Black: She was just about to ask him if they even had strollers or prams back then, but stopped herself just in time. While he studied the directory, she stood behind him with her arms curled around his waist and her cheek resting against shoulder blade. Why? Because she felt like hugging him, that's why. His observation had her rolling her eyes and pressing her forehead into his back. "You are such a nerd..." But she was totally laughing.
Alex Vipond: "That's why you love me." he chuckled, his hand resting on hers and then he pointed off down the mall in the direction of Nordstrom’s. "You'd think by now I'd know where every store in this mall is."
Wrinkled Black: A gentle squeeze was given to him before she was disengaging and taking his hand once more. "Not gonna lie, I'm kind of impressed you frequent it as often as you do, being the teenage mecca that it is." While she meant that more in a 'how do you not get mobbed every time?' sort of way, she realized it sounded kind of dity and she cracked up. "Perv."
Alex Vipond: Alex cracked up and shook his head. "I don't get mobbed anywhere near as much here as I do on the road. I think most just flat out don't recognize me, but there is the occasional fan that approaches. Like that one the other day that wanted a picture to send to her friend." Fuck, what was the girl's name? He wanted to run her past Ki and see if they hit it off, but he couldn't remember her name now.
Wrinkled Black: "Which really isn't a horrible thing. It'd really suck if you got mobbed all the time, you'd hardly be able to live your life." She didn't know how those mega celebrities managed it without going crazy. She couldn't help snickering. "Right, her 'friend'..." Finger quotations were used for that.
Alex Vipond: "Exactly." Alex nodded and then chuckled. "She said her friend was a mega fan and would be so jealous...." He paused, "Then again, she didn't want a selfie with me, just a picture of me." He contemplated that, his lips twisting in thought. "That's kind of weird, isn't it?"
Wrinkled Black: "Yeah, I'd say so." Adrienne nodded as she thought about it, then grinned. "What I wouldn't give to be able to send a picture of us to Kendra. You can't even imagine the freaking out she'd do." Never mind the woman was married with kids already, she'd still freak the fuck out.
Alex Vipond: "Who says we can't?" He grinned as they stepped into Nordstrom’s and then he looked around for the baby section. They had a baby section, right? Or would it be with kid's toys... Fuck he didn't know, he'd never paid attention to that stuff before.
Wrinkled Black: "Because Adrienne Latrobe is no longer a part of her life." That was the biggest drawback of having to move so often. Friends had to be left behind, permanently. Since Alex looked positively lost--she was trying not to grin too much at that--she led him to the escalator to where the children's department was.
Alex Vipond: "I remember the first time I saw one of these. I was fascinated by it and rode it over and over again." he chuckled at the memory and stepped off the escalator when they reached the top. "Okay, where to?" Adrienne knew the store better than he did and he would defer to her expertise.
Wrinkled Black: Oh, he was giving her way too much credit. She knew the department was upstairs, but once they were up there she had to follow the signs. "Elevators used to freak me out." A face was made for that. "Which is weird, because they were around well before I was born. But they were just so...rickety. I got a lot of exercise by taking the stairs instead." Glancing around, she made sure there wasn't anyone paying attention to them. "In a corset, no less.." Guh!
Alex Vipond: Alex grinned. "Oh, I so need to see you in one of those one day." he nodded. "And stockings. The good ones, with the seams up the back...." he was whispering, and waggling his brows at her. "A pair of high heels and I'll be tripping over myself." Hell he damned near was now, just thinking about it.
Wrinkled Black: Her eyes rolled and she groaned. "How did I know you were going to like that idea?" Since they were passing the intimates department, Adrienne snagged his hand and took a detour. Yup, dragging his ass through to the section of granny panties and shapewear. "I'm talking corsets that serve this kind of function.." She picked up one of the elastic 'cinches' and held it up for him to see. "Not the sexy ones worn by goths and dominatrixes the world over."
Alex Vipond: "I do remember the kind." Yes, he'd dropped his voice low, and he plucked the piece from her hand and laid it back down. "I'm talking stays and whalebone...." he nodded. "I posed for a portrait once with a girl in one of those."
Wrinkled Black: Oh, he better not be looking too embarrassed or else she's going to abuse the hell out of him. Muaha. She was briefly distracted by some of the maternity shapewear, tipping her head slightly as she stared at it. "Huh." Interesting. Though his mentioning a girl in a corset had her turning her attention back to him right quick, brows lifting. "Oh did you now?" Yeah, she was grinning.
Alex Vipond: "It ..." he nodded, "Was for a novel that was going to print at the time." Fortunately Ian had planted himself along the aisle and hadn't actually followed them into the girly stuff. "It was like... 80, 81, somewhere in there before I left New York for San Francisco."
Wrinkled Black: "Aaah..." She nodded slowly, chuckling. "Quite the taboo novel, I'd imagine." Especially if he was referring to the 1880's. Taking his hand once more, she led him out of the scary world of intimates and continued on towards the kids' department. Already things were catching her eye, even though it'd be years until the Peanut could fit into some of the items.
Alex Vipond: Alex smirked. "It was a novella about a vampyre." He nodded. And yes, they spelled it with a y back then. "It was not the first, work on the subject but it preceded Bram Stoker by a few decades." And yes, he was still whispering.
Wrinkled Black: "Did you ever get a copy of it?" Because that'd be freaking awesome to read! As they moved into baby territory, Adrienne's eyes went wide. "Oh my God, babe.." She damn near ran to the rack she'd spotted, plucking up a onesie with a guitar on it and holding it up for him to see. Danger, Will Robinson, danger!
Alex Vipond: "I did. It's titled, The Vampyre; A Tale. The artwork was not for a first edition, it was originally published earlier in the century, but interest had been waning somewhat and they wanted to liven it up a bit with some artwork. A man from the publishing house saw me one evening and said I would be the perfect model for the cover." Yes, he was smirking. When he saw what she picked up, he nodded. "See? Now you know why I came home with two sets of this stuff!" No, he was not whispering that time.
Wrinkled Black: No whispering was necessary for the look she gave him, from head to toe. He was a damn sexy vampyre and indeed a perfect model! She was snickering, too, though, before thoroughly distracted by the baby clothes. "Okay, okay, fine. Not allowed to tease you anymore." She was focusing now, putting the one she picked up and getting a slightly bigger size. "Gotta remember he's a winter baby..." OMG. He. Baby. Ack!
Alex Vipond: "A winter baby.... in Seattle." He nodded. "Do they have little baby rain coats and rubbers?" The kid was gonna look like a miniature Gorton's Fisherman by the time Alex got done if they did. He was picking through the stuff, holding things up for Adrienne to see, and grinning. "No, this child is not going to be spoiled, why do you ask?"
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne laughed, wandering through the racks with that little onesie hanging from her fingers. "I'm sure they do somewhere. If we can't find them in Seattle, they don't exist." Lip twitch. Not a single item he lifted got shot down. "Of course he's not. We need a freaking shopping basket..."
Alex Vipond: "Wheel barrow. Donkey and a cart...." he chuckled, the smile on his face one of those that would need an undertaker to remove and even then it was doubtful. "Okay, there's stuff here that I don't know what it is." he held up alanyard that he didn't know what it went to.
Wrinkled Black: Her brow furrowed and she leaned in to take a better look at it, then she laughed. "Oh! It's so the kid doesn't throw the pacifier to the ground. Clips on to his shirt or something. Genius." For real, modern inventions were amazing.
Alex Vipond: "Ah." He nodded and added it to the growing pile of stuff they'd be walking out of the store with. "Hey, they have wagons here right? Toy wagons?" He nodded. Yep, two stones with one bird.
Wrinkled Black: Which just had her cracking the hell up. "Pace yourself, babe.."
