Sarah E Taylor: Surfing, or searching for mermaids... surfing or mermaids... both involved with going into the water so Sarah was happy with either or, but she opted for the searching for mermaids over surfing. Why? Because that was one of the things they had talked about wanting to do while there! And if it got too tiring, then they could switch to surfing. Sarah was on the beach, waiting for Ki, checking out the scuba gear... snorkel, goggles, fins... that was really about it, or that she brought. She wore a bright turquoise bikini, a matching sarong had been left on the sand since she'd taken a little dip into the water before hand, blonde hair brushed back and dripping. Part of her wondered if they would see one by looking or if i was one of those things you saw when you weren't looking. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: And here comes Ki. He had rented a dune buggy from one of the shops, and pulled up near where Sarah was on the beach.. he got out and grinned " Hey there. " He was dressed in a blue tank with black board shorts and his sneakers. " Sorry I was late, rented this so we can go beach running later. " He grinned and walked over to look over the equipment. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: "I was about to say, you better be giving me a ride in that." She said with a grin, putting on the goggles but pushing them up into her hair or, well, on top of her head... "And you weren't late, I wasn't keeping track of the time." She added, hands moving to rest on her hips while looking out at the water. "Where do you think we ought to start?" She asked... not that it really mattered to her really, whether they spotted a mermaid or not the sights beneath the water was bound to be amazing anyway. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Not sure.. I was thinking other than flopping in the water and acting like a merman, how do we attract a mermaid anyway. " He grabbed the scuba gear and slung it over his shoulder, getting the belts right and securing them. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: "Yeah... that I don't know... but at least it'll be nice?" She asked, picking up the fins and snorkel... now, yes, she had certification in scuba diving, but aside from the one time, she rarely used all the bulky gear. She picked up the fins and started making her way to the water. "If we get bored we can break out the surf boards or use the dune buggy for a joy ride." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He grabbed his mask and checked out the air, then followed her. " What if one of us was in distress? you said that one came up to you when you were pulled down right?" He spit in his goggles and rubbed the spit around, then a little rinse... and glanced back at her when they were chest deep. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: "Do you want to be a damsel in distress, Ki?" She asked while putting the fins on, looking over at him with a mischievous smile. "I get what you mean, but I don't reckon the merperson would be thrilled about rescuing when it was fake." She added, lowering the goggles over her eyes. Mouth piece for the snorkel in her mouth, Sarah gave a thumbs up sign to him before ducking under and kicking off to swim out into the deeper water. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " No but.. at least we would get to see it?" He put his goggles on and mouth piece in his mouth, another quick check, and a glance at his air amount on his wrist then under the water he went to swim along side her.. He glanced around as they slowly made their way out to the drop off, and deeper water. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: Sarah took to water like... well... a fish? Only missing the gills to breathe with. As they reached the drop off, she took a gulp of air through the snorkel then started to head down. She was very much aware of any of the marine life they swam with, particularly keeping an eye out for the dangerous sorts... jellies, sharks, the list could go on. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: Ki not so much the fish but more of a guppy.. he did okay but wasn't great at it.. always veering off one way or another.. He followed Sarahs lead though and started down. He was determined to find a bit of sunken treasure and well hide it from his uncle till they got back to the states with it... or he wouldn't have it. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: Well, she had tried to cheer him up a little despite their mutual disappointment yesterday. Between Alex and her Dad... she was upset about it certainly, but she also appreciated the stuffed iguana just as much. Sarah looked over at Ki as though to check on him before blue eyes shifted to look around. There was a shadow that caught her attention, but it turned out to just be sea turtle leisurely swimming by... but she'd reach over to touch Ki's arm and point it out nevertheless. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He gave her the thumbs up at seeing it, then swam ahead just a little bit and mimicked the turtles movements, as it swam over near it, then finally giving the turtle the shaka sign, and swimming back over to Sarah. His eyes were smiling as he took back up near her. Keeping up again but this time he spotted something, and reached out to snag her fin. He pointed down at the odd darker area in the sand below them... -d-
Sarah E Taylor: Sarah had to take the mouthpiece of the snorkel out because it hurt to grin as wide as she had been when watching him swim with the turtle. Part of her hoped they would run into some dolphins or something too so that she could grab a fin or something. She started to move on ward, though stopped when he grabbed her and looked back at him then down to the sand. A thumbs up was given before she adjusted to swim downward toward the darker area in the sand. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He dove down at least they were shallow enough they could see still.. he wiped away a bit of the sand and .. then glanced back at her when he exposed some metal.. though it looked to be aluminum, not iron that you would find on an ancient ship wreck. Though it was painted black. " He settled down on his knees near the upright piece of metal and started to dig the sand out. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: She wasn't even near to running out of breath and yet she wasn't wearing the scuba gear like he was. All she wore was the fins, goggles, and snorkel. As he started digging, Sarah looked around their surroundings one more time before settling down with him to help uncover whatever this metal thing was. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: As they dug down he felt a ridge, and then they got a foot down he reached over tapped her and pointed up. He pushed off the bottom and headed straight up . -d-
Sarah E Taylor: She gave a nod and followed suit in pushing off the bottom. Her legs kicking propelling her upward with her arms loosely at her side. Breaking the surface, she took a breath finally - not that she needed to - and pushed her goggles up when he surfaced. "What's up?" She asked, again looking around as though expecting to see something, but when not eyes were on Ki again. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He came up and pushed back his goggles and took the mouth piece from his mouth. " I know what that is! " He exclaimed excitedly. " It's the tail rudder of a cessna!" -d-
Sarah E Taylor: "Oh cool!" Sarah replied, sharing in his excitement... sort of. "Uh... what's a cessna?" She asked, giving a sheepish smile. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He grinned. " A small aircraft.. " He looked at her, and at the snorkel.. Then at his watch... " How long were we down there? I mean I can hold my breath for like two minutes sometimes a little more but.. wow, you really are a water baby. " He smiled at her. " What's the longest you can go? " -d-
Sarah E Taylor: "Oh, lets go dig it up!" She said with a grin, about to lower her goggles again when he asked about the length of time... and how long she could hold her breath. Hesitating a moment, she lifted a hand to rub the back of her neck uncomfortably. "Lani clocked me at about a half hour to forty-five minutes..." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He just looked at her, then busted out with a laugh.. " Yeah right, how long really?" -d-
Sarah E Taylor: "Uh.. no, Ki, I'm not joking." Sarah said in an earnest voice while looking at him.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: His face went slack for a moment then shook his head. " No that's impossible.. like the worlds record is only twenty something minutes.. And you are no were near that guys size.... her watch must have been messed up... " -d-
Sarah E Taylor: "You want to time me yourself?" She asked, head tilting to the side. "Lets see how long it takes us to dig up that rudder." She would lower her goggles down, not even use the snorkel this time, and ducked back down to head toward the bottom again. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He watched her go down, then looked at his watch, pulled his goggles back on, put his mouth piece back in, then dove following her.. They really needed a shovel or something for this, or one of those suction things.. He settled back down again next to her a glance at his watch again, then started digging, trying to get enough of the tail out, to find the planes numbers. Which he didn't find and that was odd.. but after working for a bit at getting the tail dug out, they did know it was attached, and he glanced down the distance at where the rest of the plane would be... then back at Sarah. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: Sarah looked at the propeller and then followed Ki's eyes down the rest of the distance. Holy crap... was all she could think... that is until seeing that Ki was looking at her. With a partial smirk, she motioned to her wrist to indicate he check the watch. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He looked at the watch then furrowed his brows.. a shake of his head, and showed her the time.. making sure to point at it, asking .. how can you go this long? With hand gestures. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: Don't mind the small feeling of self-satisfaction there... very small... mostly because she was proving that she told the truth... but also, in reality, it still scared her no matter how used to it she was. Recognizing the hand signals, she could only give a shrug of her shoulders before motioning up and kicking off toward the surface again. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He followed her and as soon as he broke the surface, spit out the bit, and pulled the mask back. " That's amazing! you can be in the Guinness book of world records! "kinda forgetting about the main topic of what was below them for the moment. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: She laughed softly as she pushed her goggles up, treading the water. Though paled a bit at the thought of being in the Guinness world records thing. "Can... but won't. I haven't even told Dad..." And likely something in her voice said she'd rather it not go past the two of them. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "So.. just me and Lani know?" He smiled a bit at being on the inside.. and that she could trust him with this information. " It's incredible though Sarah. Your like.. Aqua girl. " He grinned. Then finally remembered the plane. " So.. what do we do about the plane.. " His eyes got wider.. " Do you think there is anyone inside?..... " -d-
Sarah E Taylor: "Yeah, just you and Lani." Though being called Aqua girl got a smile out of her. "Never thought of it like that." She replied, she was tempted to tell him more, but when the subject switched to the plane, she looked down as though able to see through the water - no, she couldn't, but still. "I don't know... almost scary to think that though, about people being inside." Sarah looked up at him. "Maybe we should tell someone?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He looked at her and puffed out his cheeks, letting out a slow breath. " If we tell someone though that's it for diving on it, they will come out here and pull it up and we wont be allowed in this area while they salvage it. " He looked around, then back at her. " What do you think Aqua girl?" -d-
Sarah E Taylor: Yep, there was a grin at the nickname - she couldn't help it. With a chuckle, she looked around a moment though considering. "Well... if they block the area... we can always go surfing somewhere else or ride around in the dune buggy..." She pointed out, but then again... how fun would it be to say they dug up a plane... "Psh... lets dig it up then tell someone about it afterward." She said with a grin, dropping the goggles over her eyes. "After you..." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He checked his air, smirked at her, then pulled the goggles back, and back down they went.. this time he was headed to where he thought the front of the plane was.. trying to judge where the cockpit would be, then started digging there, to see if there was a cockpit for one, and see if the windows busted or not, and if not, see if they could see inside. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: She followed him down, looking at the plane tail then to him as he headed to the cockpit. While he dug there, she swam out a bit and dug into the sand where she figured a wing would be. Part of her almost wondered if they'd even be able to move it out of it's 'sand pocket.' She looked up seeing a shadow pass over them, but it was another turtle. Still though, she did a slow survey of their surroundings before swimming over to where Ki was as he tried to look around the cockpit. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He hit the Plexiglas of the cockpit, and started scooping dirt and sand out of the way.. he glanced over at Sarah as she rejoined him, and he gave her a thumbs up, then glanced back down. He had cleared enough to see there was no one in the cockpit, but he couldn't see further back in the plane. They were going to need a shovel to get the door open that was for sure.. He pointed at a little hula doll that was floating against the inside roof of the plane, and he did a little hula motion, then pointed at her. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: If the window was big enough, she would probably try to see if she could climb through. She looked over his shoulder into the cockpit then backed a bit when he looked back at her. Seeing his attempt at a hula dance under the water made her crack up briefly before shaking her head. Swimming closer, she peered through at the cockpit to see the hula doll and grinned. She looked at the door then and a little bit around before looking at Ki and making a digging motion as if using a shovel then motioning back toward Alex and Adrienne's house... more or less asking if he wanted to go get a shovel. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He gave a nod, and pointed up, then pushed off the plane and headed back up to the surface. As soon as she broke the surface he stated. " Can't see any further than the two seats, think there is a curtain or something behind it. Gonna have to dig out enough to get the door open so one of us can look in.. Wouldn't it be horrible if the plane was transporting puppies?.... " -d-
Sarah E Taylor: Goggles were pushed back and she looked at Ki with the puppies comment. "Oh I hope not!" She exclaimed, running a hand over her face before looking to shore. "Alright, so lets go see if we can get some shovels." She said, smirking and sending a splash of water into his face before striking out toward the beach again. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He sputtered then started after her. " oh I am so going to get you! " And he started swimming as fast as he could after her toward shore. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: She stopped when her feet could touch the bottom, standing about chest high in the water, and grinned. "Have to catch up first!" She called, and trudging as quickly as she could through the water, splashing and all - while pulling off those troublesome fins. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He was weighed down a lot more but once he was able to stand he was gaining on her, pulling the scuba gear off as he went, but then tripped over a fin and face planted in the shallows... He pushed himself up and wiped the water from his face, then turned to float just slightly on his but with the fins in the air as he pulled them off. " Stupid flippers. " Once he had those off he went trudging up to the shore, and to the dune buggy. " So... want to drive?" He grinned at her as he put the gear in the back of the buggy. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: That made her crack up seeing him fall, almost losing her balance herself, but she was able to recover. "You're cute when you fumble around." She teased good-natured, pulling her goggles and snorkel off and picking up her orange sarong when in passing. She followed him to the dune buggy and put her stuff with the gear and was tying on the sarong around her waist, knotting it at the hip. "Drive this?" She asked, looking from him to the dune buggy. "Sure, I can give it a shot... can't be too complicated..." She headed over to the driver's side - though partly expected to take over before she could as though it were a joke. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "It's an automatic, so.. " He walked around to the passengers side and hopped in, putting on the safety harness. -d-
Sarah E Taylor: She climbed in and strapped in, taking a look around then searching for the keys to turn it on. "You have the key or..." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He pointed at the ignition. " Already in it.." He smiled at her in that.. HA HA .. kind of way.. " Oh by the way, did I mention you look very nice today?" -d-
Sarah E Taylor: Blink, ignition... duh. She stuck her tongue out at him in retaliation and grinned, firing up the buggy. "You hadn't, but thank you." She replied, looking over at him then ahead. She would put it in drive and press on the gas gently as though expecting it to fly out from underneath her. (done)
Once the teenagers made it back to Sol Lynda they found out that Alex and Adriennes boat was missing, and Callie had called the coast guard. So the kids plans would had to be put on hold. For the time being at least.
