Wrinkled Black: An appointment had been made with Dr. Hunt for Tuesday morning, first thing, after calling the doctor's cell phone. A time bubble in the Bermuda Triangle was considered an emergency, right? It at least earned a good scolding from the doctor and the instruction to 'take it easy' for the rest of the trip, which Adrienne was all for, quite frankly. So that's why she was lounging in a chair close to the pool and getting some sun, dressed in that green bikini so as to avoid tan lines on her shoulders. She had her iPad with her, a hand shielding it from the sun so she could read the website she was on. Brows shot upward and she glanced around. "Hey, babe?"
Alex Vipond: "Hm?" Alex was on a lounge next to her, kicked back and soaking up rays he was damned glad to get, a bottle of water sitting close by, and his iPad in hand. He looked over, leaning in the lounge to see what she was looking at. "Whatcha got?"
Wrinkled Black: She turned her tablet toward him, snickering. She had up the updated report on DailyMail. "Looks like we've been found." She then turned it back so she could read the exact quote. "What's this...ah... 'alleged indecent exposure incident'?" Curious minds wanna know!
Alex Vipond: "The fuck...." he skimmed the article and shook his head. "Fucking TMZ posted a photo taken by a damned weather camera that was supposedly Meghan and I on the roof of the Gator getting it on. Naja didn't just quash it, she smashed hell out of it. Of course that didn't get TMZ to retract their bullshit story."
Wrinkled Black: An eyebrow went up. "Supposedly?" Any attempt at trying to hide her amusement failed, devastatingly so.
Alex Vipond: "The image was not Meghan and I. But that doesn't mean we weren't at some point on the roof...." He shrugged. "Just means that someone else was too and that made the whole thing really rather gross.
Wrinkled Black: "Ooh, I see." She nodded slowly, lips twitching a little still. Turning off the iPad, she reached to set it on the table beside her chair. "I'm really glad they haven't managed to find out where our house is here." It being in a private community was definitely helpful.
Alex Vipond: "Definitely, and the fact that we're not slapping our name on the place helps too." Yes he said our, even if it wasn't yet. "Talked with Callie a good deal last night. I had popped my phone into the dock and played some Glenn Miller and went off on a tangent about the Andrew Sisters."
Wrinkled Black: So had she, and it was one of the factors behind her smile. Chuckling, she turned a little on the lounge, her elbow against the back of it and her temple resting against her knuckles. "They don't think we're crazy, do they?" Because, let's face it, the whole thing sounded pretty crazy.
Alex Vipond: "No." Alex shook his head. "Callie's seen enough to know that pretty much anything is possible. I'm the one that was having doubts. There was just too much evidence though to be chalked up to the imagination."
Wrinkled Black: "Your watch was enough to convince me, babe." Smiling, she reached over to take his hand in hers, fingers lacing. "Well, that and my experiencing it myself. Despite it all, though, I really did have a good time out there." Who wouldn't love dancing and boat rocking with the one you love?
Alex Vipond: Lacing his fingers with hers, he smiled. "I had a blast. And I feel almost guilty about it because everyone back here was worried, but there was no way for us to know that. And Callie said something about wishing she'd called the authorities soon, but I told her I didn't think it would have mattered. That the cutter was practically right on top of us as he came out of whatever... time bubble or whatever it was, that had held us." Alex shook his head and then brought her hand up to his lips, a kiss pressed to the back of it. "It wouldn't matter if she'd called the very night we left, we wouldn't have been there to be found."
Wrinkled Black: "Well, the important part is that we're back safe and sound, the Peanut seems to be un-bothered, and the house remained standing in our absence." Hey, considering some of their house guests, that was a legit concern! "That and we were found before Grace hit." Because that would be really bad.
Alex Vipond: "Yes. That would have been bad." he nodded. "And we still have a day to sit and enjoy the sunshine and water before heading back. Still though..." he looked over at her, from over the top of his shades. "We had two days stolen from our vacation. You know what that means?"
Wrinkled Black: An eyebrow went up. "That we should stay two extra days?" The others had obligations to return to--and really, so did they--but it was worth a shot suggesting it!
Alex Vipond: "Well, I was thinking more along the lines of a return trip..." he contemplated a moment, "but we could send the others back and just take a commercial flight home."
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne sat more upright, blinking. "You mean another trip out there?" Nodding toward the ocean before them.
Alex Vipond: "No...." he shook his head. "I mean, another trip back here to the house at a later date, but.... We could send the others back to Seattle and we stay an extra two days, and fly ba.... no, we can't, we have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday.'
Wrinkled Black: "Jesus.." She let out a breath, then chuckled, shaking her head. "For a minute there was I going to claim that you are crazy." There were just too many bad possibilities if they went out there again. Smiling, she nodded. "We could probably sneak in one more trip. How about after doing the others we talked about, we ask Dr. Hunt what she thinks? If she and time permits, I'd love to come back."
Alex Vipond: Alex smiled. "Sounds like a plan. And when we take the boat out, we stay within sight of land." he nodded, because Homey wasn't playing that clown crap anymore.
Wrinkled Black: Her eyes widened before she laughed. "Uh, yeah! Especially if it's just the two of us." As much as she enjoyed having their friends with them, the idea of coming down alone was rather nice. "Unless it's not until spring, then it'd be the three of us." Grin!
Alex Vipond: "Exactly." He nodded. "And I do feel bad that they were worried, but I did very much enjoy our six hour cruise that took over two days...." he chuckled. "Next time, we play our own music. We're leaving the radio off."
Wrinkled Black: "Definitely." Chuckling, she rolled off the lounge and to her feet, leaning over to give him a kiss before standing upright. "I'm going to get some more water, would you like anything?"
Alex Vipond: Alex looked at his water bottle and nodded. "Another would be good." he smiled, and caught her hand before she could walk away, pulling her down as he sat up, to give her another kiss. "And maybe a bottle if no one's about..." And by no one he of course meant no one who would freak the fuck out over it.
Wrinkled Black: She snickered, leaning over and returning that kiss quite happily. "That'll be one reason I'll be glad to be going home." With a wink, she stood upright once more and headed into the house and to the kitchen. It would be nice for Alex to be able to enjoy a bottle at home without anyone freaking out. Or to be able to enjoy a nibble on her without worrying about who'll spot the wicked hickey. Ahem. The coast was clear so she got a bottle ready in the warmer, taking out two bottles of water in the meantime and some chips with salsa and guacamole for a snack.
Alex Vipond: While Adrienne was fixing in the kitchen, Alex picked up his smokes and moved past the pool deck to stand on the low wall between the pool and the lawn. Looking out at the water, he couldn't get over the whole experience. At the time, nothing seemed wrong, other than a few electrical glitches. He still hadn't reset his watch. He hung his Camel from the corner of his mouth and pulled his watch off now to reset it, taking a moment to check his phone for the time.
Wrinkled Black: Just to be safe, the bottle was tucked into an insulated cozy, the kind you put around beer cans, just to make it look a little less than what it was. With that loaded onto the tray, Adrienne carefully made her way back outside and set it on the table next to the lounge chairs. Watching him, she chuckled. "I was beginning to wonder if you were going to just leave it."
Alex Vipond: "I left it long enough to drive me batshit, and now ...." he slipped his watch back onto his wrist and refastened it before he turned on the wall, taking another drag from his smoke and flicking the ash into the grass. "It's all fixed. "At the time it didn't seem like anything, after the fact it's kind of creepy."
Wrinkled Black: Laughing, she slowly nodded as she idly kicked her feet in the water. "Mmmhm!" Once he was beside her, she leaned to give his shoulder a bump with hers. "And then I'll show him a picture and he'll agree with me and ask, 'Dad, what the hell?'" Oh she was so cruisin' for a bruisin'.
Alex Vipond: "Hey, I had it going on...." he nodded. "My narrow white ass was stylin'. Although some of the shit I wore back then...." he shrugged. "Yeah, some of that can be left behind."
Wrinkled Black: "Mmmhm." She chuckled, then leaned over to give him a kiss to the cheek. "You're so lucky I love you." Though, really it was the other way around.
Alex Vipond: Alex smiled as he looked at he and nodded. "I am, I really am." he nudged her shoulder with his and took a drink from his bottle. He'd waited long enough that it was cooling so he just kept going with it, until it was gone; then he set it aside.
Wrinkled Black: After a few more chips were inhaled, she leaned in to give him another kiss. "I'm going to go lie down for a bit, babe." She was then carefully standing, shaking her feet a little before she headed back to the patio to grab a towel and dry them off properly. Then she was master suite bound.
Alex Vipond: Alex smiled into the kiss, and then watched her go. Did he stare at her ass as she bent over to dry her feet? Hell to the yeah! He watched her all the way into the house, too.
