Sawyer E Monroe: Sawyer was attired like some off duty cubicle sitter. Fitted black slacks, white silk top with a hint of pink beneath and pricey heels on those feet. Bean There was an ode to the stereotypical hippie coffee house. Big sofas, comfy, low volume music in the background, the aroma of coffees wafting through the air, the hum of conversation and the clickity clack of people typing on their devices. Sawyer had taken millions in corrupt funds and placed into charities from this very spot, well...not executed, no that required a lot of gear. But planning? Hell yes. Currently tucked on a 70's burnt orange sofa, her laptop currently set aside in favor of a Turkish coffee held in both hands. –d
an Prionsa dubh: Edward had wandered most of the night, unable to sleep, unable to get her out of his head. The resemblance of Sawyer to his Joan had been enough to wonder if she were, perhaps, a descendant of Joan. He knew there were no descendants of his and Joan's living, his legitimate line had died with Richard. Whatever downline there was from his bastard children, born before his marriage, would have had no bearing on Sawyer, if there was a connection to begin with, but he wanted to find out. More importantly, he wanted to know her, and thus he was found, standing outside the coffee shop, debating on going inside or continuing to stand out on the walk like the stalker he was being. He scowled and pulled the door open, stepping inside. It wasn't difficult to find her, that bright orange sofa rather stood out.
Sawyer E Monroe: Edward had been on her mind as well. She felt as if she knew him and of course she attributed it to his face bearing a striking resemblance to Decimus. But walking up to him the night before had been like...reconnecting? Strange, and yet not strange enough to bother her, merely delight her. She enjoyed that sort of universal harmony that had happened once or twice in meeting new people that became friends easily. At the moment, she was looking to the phone in her lap, sipping that bold coffee, wondering how to go about getting to know him. Not that she'd have to debate that mental circus for long. What she tossed up to chance was his stalking, but how was she to know? So it was a bright smile that curved on her lips as she lifted her head to recognize who walked in at the chime of the door. A slight bite to her lip, lifting a hand in wave. Surely he'd remember her from just last night, she hoped! –d
an Prionsa dubh: Edward drank her in, that smile of hers, the wave, the way she bit at her lip. He smiled in return, moving toward her, hand offered out to take hers. Once granted, if it was, he would bow over it, a kiss once more pressed to her fingers and if his hand held hers a little longer than necessary, so be it. "It is good to you again, Sawyer. May I join you?" His free hand gestured to the sofa she was settled upon.
Sawyer E Monroe: As he came closer, the smile in return relieved her of notions that he might not want the greeting. Sliding her phone aside, she rose to her feet to greet him. Her hand in his was given and that bright smile softened to warmth. "Hello again Edward, I'm so glad to run into you. Please..yes, join me!" A bit of laughter and a hint of color flushed along her neck as she took about 2.5 seconds to remember to let go of his hand, lowering to sit so he would as well. A lock of blonde tucked behind her ear, blue eyes searching his features. Not because he looked like Decimus, no..it was something else she couldn't place. "Are you enjoying Seattle?" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Very much so." The smile lingered as he stripped off his coat and draped it over the back of the sofa and then he settled next to her. "I was very much hoping to have a chance to speak with you. I am rather embarrassed to say that I have not been able to think of much else since our meeting last evening."
Sawyer E Monroe: Now that piqued her curiosity! Half turned to face him, legs crossed at the ankles, her coffee abandoned and forgotten on the coffee table in front of them. "Really? I'm flattered, though no need to be embarrassed. I have been preoccupied with meeting you last night as well. Any particular topic you wish to speak about...or is the clash of our accents enough?" She had to admit, she enjoyed the funny little blend of it! –d
an Prionsa dubh: Smiling he gave a light chuckle, head lowered for a moment before he looked up at her once more. "I find your accent most delightful." He shrugged and then continued. "I wish to know about you. Where you come from, who you are. Your likes and dislikes. I wish to know what amuses you, and what you loathe."
Sawyer E Monroe: The way his head lowered had a little curious grin on her lips, head tilting ever so slightly as she watched him. Damn that bit of color that flushed into her cheeks! "That might take more than a coffee to go over… but I'll answer any question you ask" While she generally avoided questions, she wouldn't ignore what managed to be asked of her! A bite on the inside of her cheek before laughter quietly surfaced and mingled with her words. "I come from Georgia, I like weaponry, gadgets, shoes, soft pillows, cool sheets, I’m a glutton when it comes to being comfortable. I like to draw, coffee… and strawberries are my favorite food. I dislike my food touching, busy patterns, liars, and insincerity. I am too easily amused, so that is probably a long list… and I loathe..." She hesitated, thinking through that for a moment "Lies. " A wink given to him and she added "I’m probably the least interesting person in Seattle, but I manage to keep entertained" "Tell me about you...what delights you, drives you to a temper or annoyance? What do you enjoy?" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "I enjoy hunting. Fast cars. Beautiful scenery. The smell of the countryside in the early morning. Spring time. I loathe dishonesty. And betrayal would be certain to turn me away." He motioned to one of the girls working the room and smiled to her. "I'll have a cup, black, if you will. Thank you." His smile returned to Sawyer then. "Do you know where your people originate from?"
Sawyer E Monroe: While the woman was there, she motioned to her cup of turkish coffee that had just a bit of cream in it "Another of those, please" Grinning, she looked to Edward again. "I love fast cars, but I know nothing about them. Which drives most people crazy. As for my people...well, I don't know much about my mother's side, she was adopted and no family to speak of. But my father's side was English. De Vere...Darcy.. those were family names from England that offshoot into Monroe when...according to my Grandmother..one of the gentle English roses ran off with a wiley Scotsman. "
Aere Perennius: Decimus had never minded working for the various colleges. The hours at times were quite forgiving. Like now, he'd had a few hours to kill before his next class and decided to hit up a certain sassy ass blonde. A grin on his lips as the place was but a few blocks away. Tailor made suit, as was his business attire, adorned his frame as he gave the door push to step in. That grin never leaving his lips as he saw his 'brother' from another mother and said blonde. Dress shoes clicked on the flooring as he'd make his way over. "Afternoon, how is everyone?" Gaze slid between the pair.-d-
an Prionsa dubh: Chuckling, Edward nodded. "What we do for love, hm?" Smiling, he nodded and when Decimus entered, Edward rose, his hand offered out. "Good to see you again." Yes, heads in the place were turning. And why wouldn't they? Two men so similar in appearance, bespoke adorned, the pair was bound to have more than a few heads turn. "Please, join us." Once the greeting was dispensed with, Edward once more resumed his seat, a slight tug given his trouser legs to keep them from binding as he settled, one leg crossing over the other. Looking back at Sawyer, he smiled, then mentioned. "I have been picking our fair maid's pretty little head to discern what makes her tick." Edward turned his smile over to Decimus.
Sawyer E Monroe: She looked up at the sound of Decimus' voice, her smile lingering from the conversation and lighting on him "Hi yourself, Professor" When Edward sat again, she leaned forward a bit to take up her cup to finish that cup before the new one was brought out! A little laugh and she grinned at Edward once again. "I told him it would take more time than a cup of coffee to go over, but I think we're managing well without turning into the Spanish inquisition. Or English, considering our roots. " The coffee shop was the low key indie vibe and they were both seated next to one another on bright orange sofa. But there were comfy chairs, coffee tables, etc as decor. –d
Aere Perennius: Hand taken and given a firm shake. Decimus noted the looks but they didn't bother him one bit. Instead they had that grin widening just a tad. He didn't blame them in the first place. "A pleasure again, 'brother'." It seemed fitting in more ways than one. "Thank you.." And he'd settle into a seat beside Sawyer. A slide of that glance to Sawyer. "Hello beautiful.. and she is quite a complex little thing. Don't pick her head too much, I'll need to use it tonight when we are discussing plans over dinner.." A chuckle offered as he leaned back in his chair, unbutton his jacket. ".. mhm, so you both share English roots? Anything else you've found out?" Curiously offered as he glanced betweenthe pair once more.-d-
an Prionsa dubh: When the girl came back with their coffee, Edward smiled at her. "Thank you, and please, one more, cream and sugar, for my brother." Yes he remembered how Decimus took his coffee. As the girl set down their coffees, Edward looked back at Decimus. "And how has this fine day been treating you thus far?" Edward shook his head at Decimus' question. "Other than the fact that we both loathe dishonesty, not much." Smiling, Edward picked up his cup and took a sip of the hot brew. He gave a satisfied sigh, and then took another sip before resting the cup in hand, braced by his knee.
Sawyer E Monroe: She gave a bit of an eyeroll "I’m not complex, I am ...just..you know, something" A bit of laughter and she waved his comment off a bit "I think I can handle my brain being taxed, so long as there's coffee. Wouldn't want me to swoon or get the vapors" Because that was just a weird comment from him! They talked and she had to do the tennis match. Nope, nope. Passing her empty cup to the waitress on arrival of th new one, Sawyer took the opportunity to move out from between them and take a seat in the chair on the other side of the coffee table. Better, no whiplash! Taking up her new cup, she took a sip -d
Aere Perennius: "Complex." He'd mention again with that grin. "Like a puzzle, but with softer edges." A slide of feet to let Sawyer through so she could settle without playing the back and forth. Made sense to be honest. "So far the day has been quite well. The students are learning and I haven't had any rowdy classes yet, so I can't truly complain.. and yours?" A curious tilt of his head given. The dishonesty thing had gaze sliding to Sawyer for a moment before offering a nod. "Yes, I have to agree with you both on that dishonesty is quite the turn off. I was raised that a man's word is a bond stronger then steel and the moment it is broken, it will never be the same."-d-
an Prionsa dubh: Edward's lips curved upward in amusement, watching as Sawyer moved to settle in the chair, before he looked back at Decimus as he spoke. "My day has been quite productive, thank you. And yes. A man's word is where his honor lay. The finest Damascus steel will not hold true in the hands of a man with no honor."
Sawyer E Monroe: " People learning is a good thing, glad you;re enjoying your classes so far" She held the cup between both hands settled at her knees as she watched one, then the other, depending on the flow of the conversation. A bit of that smirk on her lips. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions. For me...especially after feeling betrayed recently..I'd have to say that the ability to know one's own intention is a big part of that. Not to give every day lies in the manipulative hope that you can have the desired result, despite the actions. Someone could jump in front of me to stop a bullet which seems noble..unless the intent is to make me feel indebted or to see them in a way that they desire instead of selflessness. Frankly, I'd rather be shot. I know every day life isn't that stark of an example, but it happens all the time. So..the honesty has to begin inside of yourself and flow outward. " A slight wrinkle of her nose and she shook her head, laughter in her tone "Less philosophy, more delightful topics. Edward...what is it that you do...work, or time spent"-d
Aere Perennius: "Indeed it is. I've always enjoyed teaching others.. it just all comes down to the students, if they want to be taught or not. If they want to learn." It was as simple as that in his mind. "A productive day is always a good day.." Though he had to grin and nod at the part about the Damascus steel. ".. a true saying indeed." Silence though followed as Sawyer offered her in depth opinion. One that he listened to with a curious tilt of his head towards her. A slight purse of his lips in thought before he leaned forward to give her shoulder a gentle pat. "Sometimes a bit of philosophy is important, well said though beautiful. Very well said." That lean back taken as arms folded over his broad chest, gaze sliding on back to Edward. He too was curious about this.-d-
an Prionsa dubh: "I dabble in charitable organizations. Do what I can to help others. I suppose it is a bit self-serving." He smiled gently, "One must do what one can to make up for one's misdeeds, yes?" God knew he had plenty to make up for. Chuckling, he took another sip of his coffee, before once more resting it to his thigh. "I enjoy being outdoors. I simply can't abide being cooped up in the house for too long."
Sawyer E Monroe: Now that perked her interest ! "I'd love to get a look at which organizations you dabble in. And don't listen to my ramblings, most things are self-serving in some way...it's the nature of humanity. Even I do a lot that is self-serving. " A sip of coffee and she smiled at the comment from Decimus "THank you, I try to back up my high standards with thought" Quietly amused, she looked again to Edward. "Have you taken advantage of the waters out here in Seattle? A friend, Alec, he has a boat. I can't swim more than a doggie paddle, but the view makes me think pretty hard about hoisting a pirate flag and invading his boat for a few days" She wouldn’t...well maybe for a few hours... with permission.. –d
Aere Perennius: "Yes, one must always make up for one's misdeeds.." A somber note and one he too understand. A smile though was offered to Sawyer briefly. "I'd expect nothing less." Then he grew silent for a bit. His mind wandering as fingers lifted to lightly stroke along that stubble of his jawline. "Mhm, there are some good parks to visit as well.. the mountain and the ape caves there.. if you like the outdoors, when it isn't raining the lushness of this places is perfect."-d-
an Prionsa dubh: "That it is. In some ways, it reminds me of England. Oh not the city itself but the lushness of the landscape, and the rain course." Edward chuckled at that. "It does bring home to mind. I believe I am going to have to buy a house here, though to be honest, I am not quite certain as to what I want."
Sawyer E Monroe: "I still haven't seen all I want to yet. I love the lighthouse at Discovery park, it's kind of a novelty to me. " His mention of a house made her smile. "I can probably help with that. I've been looking online at places to show my friend Dare, because she's sick of renting. And Alex...well, he lives in the most amazing gated community. I suppose it boils down to what makes you happy. City life, the burbs, a place with a view. I like my house, but I didn't think about it being right across the street from a park. It gets a little squealy at times" –d
Aere Perennius: "The mountain trails are a delight to walk after a brisk rain." Offered simply. "And I've spent some time in England, it is quite similar indeed." A chuckle following as he lowered his hand from his his chin to pull out his phone. A simple check of the time before he slid it back into his pocket. "It isn't so bad, though I'm usually away during the day and when I'm there the music is quite loud, can't hear much from outside.."-d-
an Prionsa dubh: "Ah yes, the rambunctious goings on of tweens, teens and small children. I would imagine it can be quite distracting at times." Edward smiled between them, his coffee lifted and drank from again. It had cooled a good deal with his inattention to it, so he was trying to make up for that now. A refill would be needed soon. He looked back at Sawyer. "I should like seeing what you've found thus far."
Sawyer E Monroe: "Hiking? Why do I not picture you hiking? " She looked to Decimus and quietly laughed "I think I mentally surround you with books instead of trails." And to Edward she would grin, nodding softly "If little Tiffany asks to go higher in that swing one more time, I might attach a motor to it in the dead of night. Such as it is, I come to different places in the city to get my work done. " A bit of an excitement in her smile with his acceptance of her offer. "Great, we can get together and talk must haves. I'm sure there's something on my list" –d
Aere Perennius: He'd smirk at Sawyer's comments. "Just books? Mhm, I'm surprised. Figured there be more around me than that.." A wink offered. ".. but one of these days I'll take you out on those trails, you'll see why I enjoy them. Books are good and all, but sometimes stepping out of them into the real world is needed.." He couldn't help but laugh at what she'd do to that poor kid and he could already picture Tiffany breaking the speed of sound as she swung round and round in that swing. It -would- be quite amusing.-d-
an Prionsa dubh: "A must have would be surrounding property. A town home simply will not do. I need space." He drained his cup and then leaned forward to place it on the coffee table, a smile given Sawyer and then he was looking for that little bit of a waitress. One hand lifted to gain her attention and he motioned to their cups, before looking back at Decimus, studying him for a moment before that smile appeared once more. "I have to ask, where do your people come from? Off hand, from the name, I would say Rome, but then at one time, the Roman Empire extended into England, so...." His head tilted to the side as he continued to study the man.
Sawyer E Monroe: "I think I can handle that stipulation" She was already thinking of some of the fabulous properties she could show him. But she was quiet, listening. -d
Aere Perennius: With all the housing complexes being put up space was a prime thing to find. But he had to nod in approval of Edward's choices. Though when the question was offered to him he'd offer his 'brother' a brief smile. "They are from Rome indeed. I can trace my ancestors right back to a small villa next to the capital, so I'm Italian through and through. I even have ownership of the villa. It is quite a nice view of the city from the grassy hills.." Again he his phone free to check the time. A grunt of dissaproval given. "We''ll have to table this discussion for another time, perhaps over beer.. but I need to get back to the college. I have more classes to teach.." Lifting up he'd give Sawyer a brief light kiss on those pouty lips before offering his hand to Edward once more. ".. I trust Sawyer will help find you a good place, she has a nose for good deals. I've also started a little digging into my ancestors and yours to see if we share a common link, it makes me curious. But I've yet to get far, if I find something I'll be sure to let you know."-d-
an Prionsa dubh: Rising, Edward shook his hand, a nod given. "I do look forward to it." he smiled. "One would be somewhat hard pressed to find mine currently," mostly because his paperwork was highly falsified. "I am sure at some point we can sit down and sort it all out."
Sawyer E Monroe: She tipped her head for that kiss and gave him a little finger wiggle of a wave before holding her coffee again. "Have fun in class" After a brief sip, she grinned "Oddly enough there's a statistic out there about unrelated people being practically doppelgängers. Like we all have two or three versions of our face out in the world" –d
Aere Perennius: That shake was returned evenly. "Definitely, we'll make a day of it.. just in case." A grin flashed to the man and a wave to Sawyer before he turned to take his leave. Back to class and those students.-d-
Sawyer E Monroe: Rising up from the chair, she moved back to the sofa, obviously not avoiding Decimus, but she wasn’t keen on the ping pong thing and would now enjoy the way the sofa just...yeah, super comfy! –d
an Prionsa dubh: Once Decimus was gone, and Sawyer was once more comfortably ensconced on the sofa, Edward resettled as well, the distance between them scant, his knee briefly touching hers as he got comfortable. If there was any doubt of his interest prior, it would be removed by the gesture. "So..." he smiled. "Where were we? And that statistic, for the record, is somewhat disconcerting, but could well explain a lot."
Sawyer E Monroe: She was...caught up in him. Perhaps it was horrible of her in society norms to have her attention so easily turned, but she had been quite open about her intentions with..well..anyone she was involved with. The touch to her knee wasn't unwanted and she made no move to back away, if anything, she wiggled just a bit to sink into that seat. Comfy, not moving, touch welcome. She was probably feline in a past life! Her smile lit up her features warmly. "You... were about to tell me more about you." –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Was I?" He chuckled. "And here I thought we were delving into you." His hand lifted and he tipped her face up, studying her. "If there is such a thing as you said, doppelgängers, unrelated. It would explain a great deal. You know Alex, I am going to go out on the proverbial limb and say you know all about him?"
Sawyer E Monroe: If she did a search, the Holland family was in her lineage, so many years beyond her knowledge. She didn't shy from his touch, letting him tip her face with just the smallest of impish grins forming on her lips. "It can be quite the dance, Edward. You delving into me, while I immerse myself in you. " Right hand lifting, barely brushing her fingertips at the back of his hand. "Not everything..but his.." Delicate..hm.. "Health? Of that I am aware, yes" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Then you can guess as to my... health, as well." His eyes on hers, he studied them. "I'm going to be honest, the first thing I saw in you, was my late wife. But there is so much more to you, than your resemblance. I do not think it mere chance that we met."
Sawyer E Monroe: A quiet delight in her gaze, her hand warm against his "I guessed as much. And I am...nothing extraordinary in my health. " No super powers, no fae, troll, wolfie anything. Grade A Human. Her smile softened at the mention of his late wife. "I..I’m sorry for your loss, I hope the likeness isn't disturbing for you. Granted I noticed you because you favor Decimus, but, it wasn't the reason I walked over. I just..needed to know you. If that makes sense" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "It makes perfect sense." He'd felt that same pull. Edward's fingers tangled with hers and he lowered their hands to the sofa between them, but he didn't release her. "I don't know if Alex has told you about me. Or how much if he has said anything." His eyes returned to hers from their twined hands. "Ask me anything. I will tell you all."
Sawyer E Monroe: Her fingers fit...comfortably. It wasn't awkward to hold his hand and yet there was a part of her brain saying that any reasonable woman would find it awkward. Hmfh, well, she wasn't reasonable then! She found herself looking to that comfortable joining of hands before Alex's name had her golden head lifting to search his face, a smile tugging on her lips. "Just that I should speak with you about your experiences, I posed a question at his bar-b-que yesterday and apparently you came to mind for someone of interest that I would question. " A quick bite of her lower lip before relinquishing it and whispering softly "What brings you awe...at your age, your experiences, what still brings that rush of awe to you?" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Everything." Edward smiled. "That first blush of spring. Dew on a spider's web. I once stared for hours at such." he chuckled at the memory. "The heartbeat of a stag in rut. The excitement, the adrenaline, he feels in that moment. Life, renewed, ongoing." Edward chuckled. "I'm sorry I missed his Sunday dinner. I could have met you so much sooner had I been there."
Sawyer E Monroe: Her thumb absently brushed over the curve of his, a scant touch really, but it soothed her innate desire to get too handsy while trying to learn more about him. She was smiling as she listened, biting on the inside of her cheek a bit to try and ...not. Hard to contain, really. "I wish you had been there too...of course, I spent most of the time shoveling food into my face and admiring their son. " Her smile softened, circling back to his adoration of Spring. "I like traipsing outside at night when spring comes, you get to see all the flowers that only open at night. And when the wind is heavy over a field and dandelion seeds scatter about all fuzzy. Spring is a magnificent time of year to be in awe" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "I suppose my adoration comes from a much darker place. I was raised to battle, served as my father's regent when I was ten due to his being in France. By the age of fifteen, I had joined him on the battlefield. I saw much, and it gave me a great appreciation for life."
Sawyer E Monroe: She gave his hand a gentle squeeze of comfort. She hadn't shared her life details with much of anyone ..partly because no one asked, partially because only a couple she would even share it with. Regardless, she found herself sharing with him. "My father...when I was ten, we buried him. He ..drank too much, too many drugs and addictions. Before he died, I was quiet, shy, reserved, we weren’t exactly in the best part of society. After his passing, my grandmother took my brother and I in. It was a different world. I found my appreciation in trying to find where I belonged in all of it. " A little smile tugged at her lips "But I think many people struggle to find where they belong. I just had this arrogant belief that something more was coming... that the life I was living was in a holding pattern awaiting something more than that town had to offer" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Fortunate for me that you had that arrogant belief." Edward smiled at her, the brush of her thumb across his reciprocated by the brush of his own to her palm. "Tell me of Decimus. He seems quite possessive of you, yet I get the distinct impression his view is unwarranted."
Sawyer E Monroe: A blush crept across her cheeks and laughter escaped, playfully lowering those sable lashes to peer at him as if he were being quite wicked. "I don't know if I’m merely being honest, or if too honest. Hmm...alright, here it is.." She shifted a bit, nearly shoulder to shoulder with him in her damn near cuddle on the sofa. She warned him, glutton for comfort. "He is a friend that I enjoy sex with. It is an uncomplicated affair, I told him before I kissed him that I had no wish to be in a relationship with him, that I would never give up my sexually laced friendship with Alec for him and that if he lied to me, I'd shoot him." A little lift of her shoulders in a shrug. "So far everything has been fine. Though, meeting you he has...well, I've not seen this side of him before, the constant touching; the little comments. It's troublesome, I half worry that he didn't take my warning seriously and he's vying for more. I'd suspected, but with no basis... this sort of... solidifies that. I'm fond of him, so I really hate that he didn't listen to me" –d
an Prionsa dubh: Edward's lips twitched, and then he gave in to the chuckle. The free hand whose elbow was resting on the back of the sofa lifted, brushing a lock of hair back, tucking it behind her ear when it really didn't need it, but he couldn't help himself. "I had gathered that the posturing was for me, be it my resemblance or ... Perhaps he feels that we're drawn to one another."
Sawyer E Monroe: She grinned at him, laughing softly "I wasn't sure if it was for you or for me so I wouldn't flit off like a butterfly to such a lovely flower" Her laughter twined in with those words, grinning with a slight tip of her head toward his touch. "I’m not that fickle. I simply know what I want...I rarely feel the need to apologize for it" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I myself make no apologies for the number and frequency of my bedmates..." Edward paused, regarding her for a long moment. "I don't see that happening here." He shook his head slowly. "I don't see us as a casual thing. When we fall into bed together," when, not if, "it will be because I am making love to you."
Sawyer E Monroe: Her heart felt like it tripped over itself, just this stumble before it kicked up a notch in rhythm. She didn't avert her gaze though, no she watched him with intensity and silence. "You're going to make me question everything I thought I wanted...don't want...need. I’m not complaining, not protesting. I just...no, no there's nothing casual about you for me" It might have been poetic, even romantic other than she said it with a slight furrow of brow in a look of serious contemplation. "This....will be quite the adventure, Edward" Finally, a little smile on her lips. –d
an Prionsa dubh: "Yes it will." Smiling, he leaned in and kissed that furrowed brow, then leaned back once more to regard her. "Don't fret. We've time. All the time in the world in fact and when you're ready, when we're ready, we will know." He let his index finger trail down her nose, giving the end of it a playful tap. "In the meantime, we have a good deal of getting to know one another to accomplish."
Sawyer E Monroe: Her smile brightened and brow smoothed with that kiss, laughter surfacing. Immortals, never on a schedule! "I'm not worried, I promise. It's like that poem… One foot on sand, one at sea, the only thing constant is change" A blink at that nose tap, tilting her head and snapping teeth in a playful bite at his fingertip. He settled back and she leaned in, brushing a kiss to his cheek. "Are you always so patient?" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "If there is anything I have learned in my lifetime, it is patience." He smiled at the playful nip of teeth and then with the kiss to his cheek, he leaned into it, before he straightened, her hand lifted, fingers given a gentle squeeze before he pressed a kiss to her palm. Lowering their hands once more, he locked his gaze to hers. "I should allow you to get ready for your dinner date." There was no small amount of amusement in his expression, and his smile was borderline sarcasm, though it was not directed at her. Shared with her, was more the like.
Sawyer E Monroe: That kiss to her palm, fingertips curled, brushing his cheek. His words though had her cringing. "I forgot about that...ergh, this is one of my many flaws. I tend to be where I want and forget the world when I am content" She smiled, leaning in a bit to bump shoulders with him, but...staying. "I want to see you again soon. ..Well, more aptly I don't want to leave, but if I must...I want to look forward to seeing you" –d
an Prionsa dubh: "There is nothing wrong with finding contentment. If anything, it is that which we seek most often, with the most ardor." Goes to that whole, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. "And you shall see me again. Breakfast. Tomorrow. At the Market. I love being there in the morning."
Sawyer E Monroe: She smiled, a warmth in it that Decimus would probably crave from her, Alec would check her for flu or magical curses probably. But there it was, gifted to him. "Breakfast sounds perfect. " She gave his hand a little squeeze and wanted, ever so briefly, to kiss his lips. But no...this wasn't it. She knew this was not the moment and not knowing when the moment would be… she'd leave that to the cosmos to figure out. Getting to her feet, she reluctantly released his hand.
