Dylan Zane King:
Elvis had left the Studio with good reason. The lectures for Kalypso was just that lectures. Lectures and warning for him didn't go over so well. He wasn't a child and wasn't going to be treated like or lectured as if he was. The beast wanted out and he didn't want to keep it inside anymore; not when he was angered. Logic told him to let it go and anger told him he needed to attack something -- some one. But changing in anger meant losing control and unleashing. He found his way to a bench and sat down and closed his eyes. He had to breathe. A basic necessity.
NocturnaI ProwI: That last look from over the shoulder, to her, had been an invite of sorts. Though, she may have read into it wrong. Either way, curiosity had gotten the better part of this kitty and Brie had managed to follow his scent. She had kept a good distance between them as she tailed him. When he came to settle on a bench... she paused. There was a glance around, as if suddenly faced with a problem. Dare she approach the massive Rex and risk his anger being unleashed on her? Or should she proceed with caution as curiosity continued to strongly tug at her. After a moment, she turned away and began to start back in the way she had came, but then after about two steps, she was turning about once more. Slowly... cautiously... she began to close the distance between them. Of course, she moved in a arc like direction. It allowed her to get close, but maintain a bit of distance in case she needed to run and hide. [d]
Dylan Zane King: The moment she was within his sense of seeing without seeing, he opened his eyes. The Rex was calm and maintained its control. The animal wasn't behind shields. The massive animal weighed over a half ton with a fleece of white fur. "You know him..." It was more a statement than a question. She knew him and it was a mix of emotion. The Lion was prideful and not used to being a second or third. Hell, he was a lion; King of everything he saw. The heavy scent of the predator emanated from him. "Why. How long?" was more of the question. "We don't talk so I didn't know he had ..others."
NocturnaI ProwI: Once she was close enough, she remained standing. Hands were tucked deep into her jacket. Long dark ravenous strands of hair, silky and shiny, lifted and floated lightly on the air as the cool breeze swept in. Vivid blues studied the man as the black beast studied the large white Lion. The panther was on all fours, easing forward, body low to the ground and with her neck out stretched, nose twitching as it neared his own. Brie looked the man and nodded. "I do. Not long. And...nor did I." she replied softly. That scent of his beast is what had her panther approaching in the fashion that she was. Brie lowered her shields more and it allowed the Rex to take in more of that mix of orange blossoms and white lillies. [d]
Dylan Zane King: His manners would never have a woman standing when he was sitting. It just wasn't right. Elvis stood and give an open palmed motion to the bench. "I'm sorry you had to see that. It wasn't right but I supposed life sometimes lead others to think something that doesn't exist." And that was all he was going to say about the Studio. He washed himself of it. "Please sit down." They had more common than their animals. The Rex seemed less agitated and watched the motion of the panther. The King leaned up his muzzle and openly inhaled her scent. The scent of desert musk floated amongst them. The scent of hers was welcomed. "Are you also his animal...servant." It was hard to say because he was who he was. "Tell me about you." They had much in common and should know her.
NocturnaI ProwI: Brie gave a small smile as the man stood and offered her a seat next to his own. "Grazi Signore... and as for apology, none needed." she replied. "It not your fault." she quietly added. He proceeded to clarify a few things for her, even if she felt he really didn't need to. But she was grateful for it as much because it would have left her fairly confused. She had never seen a wolf and a lion act as they had. Not that there was anything wrong with friends doing as they had, but it was a first for her to witness with the wolf nuzzling and such. Perhaps there was more she needed to learn of the canine breed. Her panther, once it felt no threat of danger, gave a rub of its cheek against his, followed up by the other cheek. When he posed his question, she nodded. "Si... he calls, I must answer." she replied. "About me?" she asked with a arch of thin dark brows. "My name is Gabriella Moretti. I am from Italy. I come to United States for work and better life." she began. "I travel much. From New York, to New Orleans, and now? I here, in Seattle." She looked to him and gave a small smile. "You?" she asked in return. [d]
Dylan Zane King: It wasn't his fault but he felt responsible. Sometimes perception wasn't as clear as he felt it was. "Apology still." He sat down after she did beside her on the bench. "Kalypso is my friend. She was expression affection the way any beast would. I didn't encourage nor discourage because we don't have friends amongst those in Seattle. And I'm hoping I've met a new friend." The Rex felt the sable panther brush against it and at first it was tentative. Then it leaned into the other feline. The scent from the female lured the Rex closer and while it was low, the soft purring came from the human. "Dylan Elvis King. I'm from Philly Pennsylvania. The military has taken me all over the world from Iraq, to Spain, to China, Japan, South America, to Canada. I'm here in Seattle to find a home. To find something greater than myself." He didn't know how to make it more simple than it was. "Since I don't have a mate, or friends... Animal servant to an elusive vampire is what I am now." Everything in a small nutshell.
NocturnaI ProwI: "It is pleasure to meet you Dylan Elvis King." She offered her hand out to him in greeting. If and when taken, he would notice how incredibly smooth and soft they were. She was definitely a woman with a privileged life. So far. "And again.. apology not needed, but apology accepted." she added with a somewhat wider smile. When the Rex leaned into the Panther, there was a nuzzle of sorts before she came to slip her body beneath his heavy head, and leanedback against him. Brie was soon purring as well. "Maybe new home is here. And Si, Dylan and Brie can be friends." she added. Brie gave a shake of her head. "I have no mate either. And no friends. " spoken softly. "But maybe now I have friend, while I am servant to vampire too." [d]
Dylan Zane King: "Just Elvis," he found himself smiling. Maybe it was her accent or the way she was offering her hand to him. He shook it slowly. The Rex was satisfied with the company. It didn't have any agendas or motives. Its base needs were very simple. And this was what it lived for. "Maybe it is here. And still being here, maybe this isn't so bad having new friends. We both do." He didn't care. His arm went around her human shoulders and moved her closer to him. He needed it even if it was just for now. "Thank youBrie for coming."
NocturnaI ProwI: Brie smiled and nodded. "Elvis." she repeated, as if to remind herself to call him that and only that. He had a nice smile. "You have nice smile Elvis. You smile more, yes? Its suits you." she nodded as her own seem to grow a little more. As for needs, Brie and Elvis were much in the same boat then. She was looking for friends and was happy that she had now found at least one. When her hand was released, if released, it came to fall into her lap as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her in closer. Obviously, Brie didn't mind it and even leaned in to him. A low purring sounded. "You are welcome Elvis. And Grazi..." [d]
