Alex Vipond: Alex arrived at the studio, parking the little Roadster at the curb and setting the security system, as he walked away. His gum was swapped out for a fresh piece, the old tossed into the trash bin near a lamp post as he crossed the walk. Pulling the door open, he stepped inside, shades pulled from his face as he glanced around.
Tawdry Taboo: Upon arrival Alex would no doubt be greeted by one of the many people who worked for the spitfire photographer, in particular a mousy little brunette who approached him with a nervous smile. "Alex? We are expecting you... please follow me?" Guiding him back toward the area of the loft that had been paneled off as a dressing room, complete with a makeup station, she pointed him toward the chair and offered another skittish smile. "Have a seat and June will get started on the prep work." Prep work for photography usually amounted to nothing short of shellac, but at least they would be kind about it. Though once the bubbly blonde caught word of the fact that the musician had finally arrived she'd close on him, making her way to peek about the corner before slapping him down with a teasing greeting. "You're late."
Alex Vipond: A smile and a nod was given the woman, as well as a "Thanks," and then he was following her to dressing room, a smirk given at the admonition. "It's Friday, and everyone and their granny is trying to get home and get a start on the week end. Traffic's almost as bad as it is in LA. Seattleites just use fewer firearms to get their point across."
Tawdry Taboo: Apparently Adrianne either wasn't buying the excuse or she was just too contrary to let him get away with it. "How is your inability to plan for the Seattle night life my problem? Now you've ruined my whole schedule... I had so many important things to do tonight... like... wash my hair." There was a hint of laughter in her tone as she watched the makeup artist get started. Tilting her head as she squinted just a touch as if she was considering something before she scoffed. "You're so much prettier with makeup on."
Alex Vipond: A couple years ago, he would have offered to help; now he just smirked. "It's a travesty." When she commented on his looks, he chuckled. "I know. I'm just hideous without it."
Tawdry Taboo: The roll of her shoulders was relatively casual, though as it passed she moved a little closer and pointed out a spot that had been missed. "I am not sure how your wifey puts up with it... thankfully Uriah is pretty even without it." She smirked a little at the thought, though she'd honestly seen less of him lately than she would have liked.
Alex Vipond: "It's a burden she bears with grace and dignity." He chuckled, face turned as directed by the makeup artist and he sat patiently as she completed her work on him. He always felt like he'd been spackled when they were done with him.
Tawdry Taboo: "I am sure she does... someone has to make up for your shortcomings after all." She grinned a bit and waited till he was all dolled up before his wardrobe was produced. "That's my queue to step on out! Not that watching you strip wouldn't be ever so delightful." With a bit of a laugh she stepped out, making her way to the camera to double check the equipment before they got started.
Alex Vipond: Once the room was clear, Alex changed clothes, then gave a last minute finger combing of his hair before he stepped out to where the action was. He rolled his gum to the other side of his mouth and then looked toward Adrienne... anne. He moved to the area in front of the camera, taking in the scene as he did so.
Tawdry Taboo: The scene didn't look like all that much for the time being, but that would change in editing. Right now it was just damn good lighting and a faux loft set up with a series of exposed light bulbs hanging from above; each was lit and yet they gave off different volumes of light depending on the type of bulb. "Just play up a bit of that rocker sex appeal that you pretend to have on stage." Grinning a bit she stepped in behind the camera.
Alex Vipond: A smirk was given and Alex pushed his jacket sleeves up, and looked into the camera as if Meghan were on the other side of it, staring back; giving Adrianne that smoldering green gaze.
Tawdry Taboo: That was definitely one way to pull it off... usually worked out too. Snapping a few shots she decided to change things up just a bit once she had the smoldering look down. "So you're the best friend, right? So what dirt can you give me on our English friend?"
Alex Vipond: "Oh no...." he chuckled. "That's something you will have to learn on your own." He slipped his hands into his pockets, "I am not going to cheat you out of the discovery of all things Uriah."
Tawdry Taboo: When she peeked up from the camera she couldn't help that tiny hint of a frown. "Oh come on now, I am not asking for a history lesson here." With a couple more snaps she kept the activity in motion. "Just a little hint here or there, you know, some tidbits. You must know some dirt."
Alex Vipond: "To be honest, you probably know more about him than I do." Alex moved, turned, tilted, and gazed as directed as Adrienne shot pictures. "I mean seriously? You've not only known him longer, but likely you know how he pisses, so I really don't think there's anything I can tell you, that you don't already know."
Tawdry Taboo: Pausing a moment she actually seemed to think about that before following up. "That is tragic, aren't you boys supposed to be best friends forever or whatever the male equivalent is?" She smirked slightly and directed him around only to snap more pictures in the process. "I knew him for a brief stint of time and then we reconnect, besides I didn't really know him back then. He was a bit of a prick, just interested in a warm wet place, if you catch my : drift." Laughing at the mention of how he pissed she only added the obvious. "Standing up I would assume."
Alex Vipond: "See? You already know more than I do. Maybe it would help if you asked specific questions, since I'm not sure what it is you want to know." He lifted a hand, fussed with his hair a bit, smoothing it out in that habit of his that he often had when being interviewed or just before stepping out on stage.
Tawdry Taboo: "I think you are just trying to avoid the discussion." She smirked as she watched that almost nervous behavior. "Alright... tell me about the last girl he was with. Surely you know that much, being the BFF and all."
Alex Vipond: "That was actually before my time. I gather that it ended rather suddenly." He shrugged. It was the best he could offer. "Uriah tends to keep things close to his vest, and frankly, I can't fault him for it. I tend to do the same."
Tawdry Taboo: "Well you are just no help at all... how long have you known him anyway?" That would at least give her an idea of how long it had been since Uriah had another woman in his life. "Maybe that's the creepy crawly within you both... gotta hide under your metaphorical beds to make yourself feel at one with the inner monster." The tone she used made it quite clear she didn't think either of them monsters at all, but it was still fun to poke at them.
Alex Vipond: "Couple years, maybe. Not overly long. It's kind of funny. We know a lot of the same people, lived in LA, for years, and never ran into each other." He continued to move as directed, gave the expressions wanted when asked for them, and batted at the lights like a cat, setting them into motion.
Tawdry Taboo: When he gave up the time frame she paused and stared at him for a moment, one brow angling toward the sky. "He hasn't been with someone in two years? You're shitting me." That Irish accent was in full force, kicking the syllables around despite the naturally dulcet tone of her voice. "No wonder he's so grumpy all the damn time..." A few more pictures were snapped before she motioned toward one of the lights. "How about you give that light a little love... pretend it's the wifey. I wanna see some intimacy, don't let me down..."
Alex Vipond: Alex chuckled and looked to one of the lights on his right, as if it were Meghan and he missed her. "What about you? What have you been doing, and who, in the time since you two parted ways?"
Tawdry Taboo: When he turned his gaze over to the light she snapped a picture and groaned a little. "Boring... touch it... love the light." Grinning a little she snapped a couple more shots before his question earned a bit of a groan. "Ever heard the term... fae struck?"
Alex Vipond: "Uh... yeah." he nodded. Been there, done that. He reached up and touched the light, gave it that look he gave Meghan right before laying a lip lock on her.
Tawdry Taboo: "That's better, much, much better." Snapping a few more pictures she added a bit into that thought, making sure he wasn't left wanting when the term came into play. "Well lets just say mama wanted to make sure I knew my way around... well... being me and the finer points of sexual relations so I didn't end up with a real slave on my hands." Shrugging as she went on she kept that shoot in full force, making sure there were more than a few pictures snapped in the meantime. The last thing I needed was for my glamour to slip mid stroke only to end up with some fae druggy licking my heels and begging for his next fix."
Alex Vipond: "Yeah, I get the picture." Wasn't exactly like that, but it was close. Alex and Troian had, before they split, had more than one knockdown, drag out fight. Course the fact that she'd mislead him about her age didn't help. He'd thought she was in college, when in fact, she was in high school. Which was why he was so surprised when he discovered, belatedly, that she was a virgin. Yeah, color him surprised.
Tawdry Taboo: "Glad you understand... so needless to say I have been a bit hands off where men are concerned. Though you don't need to tell him about the cobwebs if he comes knockin' for information, right?" That hint of laughter really never seemed to leave her tone of voice, when it came right down to it she was just generally good natured, which was likely why she was such a contrast to the moody Brit.
Alex Vipond: "Whatever the two of you want each other to know is entirely up to you." he nodded. "I try not to make it a habit to stick my nose into other people's relationships," Derrick and Seija notwithstanding.
Tawdry Taboo: Dangerous word that one... relationship, yikes, definitely worth the lump in her throat. Peeking up from behind the camera she peered at him with an almost timid gaze, if Adrianne could be timid. "I am not so sure it's all that serious. A relationship? That makes it sound so... legitimate."
Alex Vipond: "Liaison then?" He shrugged. "Whatever it may be, I try not to get entangled in the affairs of others."
Tawdry Taboo: The change in vocabulary made her laugh outright, snapping a couple additional pictures. "Dangerous liaisons... with a cruel intentions kind of twist. I think he could fit the Valmont archetype quite nicely, but then what would that make me?" The grin managed to remain fixed upon her lips as she changed the dynamic around. "Can you play coy? Nervous maybe?"
Alex Vipond: "God knows until Meghan, I wasn't exactly batting a thousand." He smirked. "A couple years ago, if anyone had asked me if I would marry, I would have asked them if they were completely off their nut." Coy? Not usually something associated with him, but he gave it a shot. Nervous he knew well enough. After all, every show, right before stepping out on stage, his stomach was in knots. Once there, however, he was pure energy, which didn't cease until the show was over. Then it was the post show adrenaline high that would last at least the first hour of signing CDs.
Tawdry Taboo: Nervous would certainly do and she could get a few photos in with the faux expression and body language she was looking for. Getting him to talk usually helped too... she'd definitely have a range to work with. "Marry?" That made her pause out right and she sputtered, breath flustering through her lips audibly. "We have not even defined our little... whatever this is... so nobody has even come close to asking about marriage." Did she twitch? Maybe just a little bit... that was a damn big commitment! "You seem happy as a clam though, all smiles and pearls in the gut, so I am happy for you. I am sure Meghan must be a real peach."
Alex Vipond: "I'm just saying, Meghan was a life changer for me. And she is, she's my world." He smiled, couldn't not as he talked about his wife. "You think you know what love is until it walks into a bar and hits you between the eyes."
Tawdry Taboo: The smile was captured rather happily with the click of the camera and the pop of lights in turn. A series rattling off one after the other as she kept the conversation alive. "I never claimed and will never claim to know exactly what love is, I think that would be a bit like trying to define light." As for walking into bars and hitting people between the eyes, that made her pause and snap with a faux frown. "See I knew I should have thrown something at himwhen I came in that first night."
Alex Vipond: "You gotta be careful where you throw things. Some places don't react too well to such things," he nodded. "You’re better off just playing it safe." He paused as he regarded her. "So why didn't you? All those years ago?" Not throw something but sleep with him. She was attracted to him, obviously, or she wouldn't have gone to the lengths she had to get him into the predicament he was in. Alex was not going to believe for an instant that said attraction developed in one night.
Tawdry Taboo: "I will take that under advisement and try to keep myself from throwing things in random establishments." She said it with a relatively serious tone, though they likely both knew she was still playing around. It wasn't until he asked about why it was she had turned Uriah down all those years ago. Pausing for a moment she glanced around as if to make sure no one was within earshot before she responded. "Firstly... he wasn't the same person then that he is now. He was still nice to look at, but back then I would have been just a notch in his belt." Pausing she tapped a finger over the camera as if thinking. "Plus I hadn't really gone through all the training then that I have now. As far as I was aware then, Uriah was just a normal human. He was the last person I wanted as an addict..." Throwing back to their prior conversation of course. "I am still not sure what could happen if I ever just... let the glamour go."
Alex Vipond: Alex regarded her for a long moment. "You didn't sleep with him because you wanted to, but you didn't want to be one more in a series of." He nodded. "I can see that. It's not easy, really, keeping things in check. Tamping down what nature has determined to be yours to deal with." If anyone knew that, it was Alex. He'd been dealing with it, long enough. "It's all about self-control."
Tawdry Taboo: Tilting her head she seemed to think that through with a thoughtful sweep of her tongue over her lips before she simply shrugged. "I suppose it comes down to self respect... it could have been a fun night, but that's all it would have been. Unless I slipped up and then... well there is no telling what might have happened at that point." She'd heard stories of humans who literally wasted away and died when a fairy denied them a fix, so she wasn't all too keenon experimenting. In Uriah's case there was a slim possibility that his powers would limit the effects, but again what happened if they didn't? She let her guard down and then he'd be a drooling simpleton for the rest of his days. "Unfortunately that also means never really losing control, nor exposing who you truly are."
Alex Vipond: "There are some things that are best left in the shadows. We all have inner demons. We all have our own inner battles to wage. It's all about whether or not we fight that inner darkness, seek to gain a balance, or let it consume us. I decided long ago, that I wasn't going to let it consume me."
Condemned Legacy: The day had been long and busy, but it didn't mean it had been eventful. Uriah's defintions of things tended to be different than most. He was now texting away on his phone, sending out messages to the two people he seem to be spending majority of his time with, as of late. Never knowing they were in fact, together... and had been discussing him. He would sit in the driver seat of his car, awaiting replies, before leaving Nate to handle the pool hall, the rest of the evening, all on his own. –d
Tawdry Taboo: When he mentioned the demons and inner darkness that seemed to plague them all she had to smirk, pausing in the process of snapping pictures only to add her two cents once more. "Well unlike you charming boys, my hidden half is far more... light than it is dark. So there is the crux of the conundrum, do opposites really attract or would be simply... snuff one another out?" The question was punctuated with the vibration of her phone within her pocket. Fished from her jeans she couldn't help the smile that crossed her lips when she saw who the message was from. Damn butterflies, she really needed to get a handle on them. Typing out her response she shared where she was but not with whom, nor why.
Alex Vipond: Alex's phone was in the dressing room, on the counter. Lost. Ignored. Lonely. It would likely shut down in a fit of pique, just to spite him. Jealous iPhone is jealous.
Condemned Legacy: The first to respond had him looking the reply over and smirking to himself. He sent one back, asking if he should meet up with her later since she was working. Since Alex had yet to text back, Uriah assumed the man was busy. With his wife. Breaking something else in or Christening something else.... somewhere else. One never knew with that man. –d
Tawdry Taboo: When she got the response she made sure to inform him that he was more than welcome and to come on by, then she slipped the phone back into her pocket and filled Alex in on the news. "Seems like Uriah is headed this way, maybe his ears were itchin'?"
Alex Vipond: Alex chuckled. "Entirely possible. Or a little bird could have whispered in his ear." Bird as in ghost of. One never knew with that man. "We're almost done, yes?" He didn't want to keep them if they had plans, or no plans but possible spontaneous plans that may or may not crop up.
Condemned Legacy: Uriah smiled to himself and the man was soon on his way. With having a lead foot in a fast car, it wouldn't take the Brit long to get to where Adrianne was. And soon, after parking, he was making his way in into the studio. Hands in pockets, curious gaze about as he meandered further in. And yes..... the man was privy to many things thanks to his connections. –d
Tawdry Taboo: "That is entirely possible too... Is it evil of me to say I am tempted to strip down to nothing and switch places with you, just to torture him when he comes in?" Mischief was just part of who she was, what could she say? As for almost being done... well that had her peeking at the camera and pulling up the folder. "I think we have almost all we need... why, afraid he'll catch us together, swappin' secrets?" Grinning she continued right along with that shoot and would be in the process of snapping a few more pictures when the Brit finally made his appearance at the studio. A quick glance around and he'd spot them, that was the benefit of the loft, wide open spaces and plenty of room to work with.
Alex Vipond: "Just don't want to cock block any potential plans is all." Alex smirked. He wouldn't get in the way of Uriah's evening adventures if he could help it.
Condemned Legacy: Wide open spaces was good. Which was why he was meandering about as slowly as he was. He was giving the place a good look over. As he heard the noise of camera shutters and saw the bright lights and all, he drew closer of course. Only to begin smiling and widely at that. "Already trying to move in on my potential when you have such a lovely wife already, you scatty knob... " he quipped. "And what would your wife think?" he added with a slight chuckle. "And you.... I'd have expected better from you, you little tart." he said with a playful smirk as he kept his distance as to not disrupt the photo-shoot. –d
Tawdry Taboo: She simply scoffed at the notion of Alex cock blocking anything, honestly she doubted Uriah had any big plans for the evening ahead. "Dueling cocks, that I'd pay money to see." When Uriah approached in part she paused, picking her eye up from the camera to turn it over to the snarky Brit. "Your potential? I sound so... untapped." She smirked slightly, only to gasp in mock horror as he mentioned expecting better of her. "Better? Why Uriah you do not imply, I hope, that your very bestest of best friends is not worthy of my affections... if anyone should be capable of stealing me away, should it not be him?" That faux shock melted off into a smile and a flute of laughter before she crooked a finger his way to draw him closer. "Come take a look at the pictures, you can mock Alex with me, it'll be fun."
Alex Vipond: "My wife would think, my what nice pictures you take...." he smirked, looking between them. And wondering if his niece had been visiting lately. He had to let him know his sister was hoping to speak to her. "I'd rather you didn't. She already said I needed a full spackling."
Condemned Legacy: "I wouldn't say that because we both know better." he replied to Adrianne in regards to being untapped. "And stealing you away? Him? I think he's happy with what he has. Which just means, all the more for me." Grin given. That crook of finger had him moving closer again and he would look with her, the pictures she had taken. Head tilted, brow arched, and he glanced to Alex. "Not bad. You might have that awe factor yet." he teased. The niece had not visited him since the night at the bar, but it didn't mean that she couldn't make her presence known at any given time. People, objects, and other things could trigger a spirit to come forward. -d
Tawdry Taboo: When Uriah responded to her untapped comment she simply winced, wrinkling her nose just a touch. "Oh I don't know if I would say tapped..." She smirked once more before she laughed and simply shrugged. "What a pity, I was so hoping to crawl in bed with the happy couple too... I mean a threesome with Alex and Meghan would be my dream come true." She nudged into Uriah when he was close enough, bumping hip to hip as he peeked at the pictures. "I know right? Like puppy cute... almost makes you want to pinch his cheeks and give him a lolli." She grinned once more though she plucked the camera from its stand. "I think we are good with pictures Alex, unless you want a few more. We could do some : kinky stuff for the wifey, maybe some pinup throw back stuff to get her motor runnin'."
Alex Vipond: "God, save me now...." He shook his head. And at the mention of kinky stuff, he gave an emphatic shake of head in the negative. "Nooo, TMZ has enough fodder to last a lifetime."
Condemned Legacy: Uriah gave Adrianne a look and smirked before he simply gave a shake of head. "She has a way with words, does she not?" he asked Alex with an amused expression. Though, with the whole TMZ thing, the Brit couldn't help but laugh a: bit. "Such a scandalous chap you are." He was quiet for a moment, observing as it seemed things were coming to an end. "Ah, I see how it is..." he teased Adrianne. "I show up and suddently the two of you are ready to split like a couple of bananas." He eyed them both with such seriousness before cacking a smirk. -d
Tawdry Taboo: She pursed her lips into a little oh and even let loose a quiet, oooo, before she moved on. "Videos, there is a thought, sweetie we should definitely do that." With a laugh she glanced between the pair before her attention fixed upon Uriah. "Well it isn't like we are going to keep talking about you now that you are here, that kind of defeats the whole purpose." Was she serious? Only she and Alex knew for sure, but yeah they had definitely talked about him for the majority of the shoot.
Alex Vipond: "I'm just glad it was someone else's ass and not mine or Meghan's on that video. Of course that leaves the question of just who it was.... And that... ewww...." He shuddered. "Just glad we weren't naked up there."
Condemned Legacy: "So I'm sweetie now?" he asked with a grin. When she shared that they had been talking about him, brows arched. "Is that so? Well, I hope it was all good things." he replied with a smirk. "And please... don't let my being here keep the two of you from continuing such an interesting subject." Uriah nodded in agreement then with Alex about that whole video thing, along with the eww thing. -d
Tawdry Taboo: Had she used a pet name? She had to stop and think about it, even blinking before a tiny hint of pink snuck into her cheeks. "Yeah... well... no." What were they talking about again? Oh right... him. "Oh we were just talking about inner demons, why I snubbed you all those years back, and some dirt on your not too recent ex's... nothing all that interesting, promise." With the camera in hand she stepped toward Alex, handing it over so he could look over some of what had been captured on the digital reel. "Let’s be honest though, there are worse things that could happen than a sex tape of you and your wife leaking... at least it’s your wife and not some Tiger Woods shit."
Alex Vipond: "That's the difference between me and Tiger Woods. I know what I have at home and am perfectly, ecstatically happy about it." he smiled as he flipped through the images, gave a nod and handed the camera back. "I won't have to worry about Meghan beating the fuck out of my car with a seven iron."
Condemned Legacy: Hands shifted around in his pockets a bit and he smirked at Adrianne before glancing between she and Alex a moment. "I see. Trying to dig up a little dirt on me hm?" Small smile given. "Besides, Tiger Woods has nothing on this guy." Meaning fame wise. "So I'm sure Alex and Meghan could definitely make celeberity news much more interesting than Tiger had. –d
Tawdry Taboo: "Good, I am sure Meghan knows how lucky she is to have such a loyal guy at home." That smile reigned supremely over those golden features, even as it turned its way over toward Uriah once more. "Absolutely... I want to get as much dirt as I can before I make an informed decision on whether or not I should keep you around." As for the nine iron and beating the fuck out of his car... well that made her wince just a little. "Yeah you boys have quite the rides at your disposal, I would think twice before lighting up any women... that could be very tragic."
Alex Vipond: "I do my best not to leave any pissed off women in my wake. In fact the one that does come to mind is rather .... psychotic...." Alea. Enough said. "But then she was that way when I met her, I just didn't know it at the time.”
Condemned Legacy: Yeah, the idea of Alex's wife beating the fuck out of his rides, was not a pretty thought and he grimaced a bit as if it was painful for him, personally. "I think it’s safe to assume that my more.... troublesome days are behind me." Uriah said. No, he didn't want any pissy women whacking away at his cars either with anything damaging. –d
Tawdry Taboo: "Probably for the best... never know what a pissed off woman is capable of." She turned an almost threatening gaze over to Uriah, though she laughed a split second later. Yeah Adrianne was so not the impulse rage type, he'd seen about how angry she could get and it had ended in wagers and foot rubs, not quite the destructive type. "That is good, cause those troublesome days are so not a turn on." With camera in hand she peeked back toward Alex. "I'd like tomeet Meghan at some point, I wanna see what kind of woman it takes to put up with the likes of you."
Alex Vipond: "Oh I think I have a pretty good idea." he nodded. You know, the usual. Send you home to visit family, knowing you'd likely slaughter them all. Turn your brother in law, then your sister, and spend the better part of seven centuries looking for revenge.... "Yeah. Pissed off women can be a bitch. Well, you will get a chance, sooner or later. Either at the masquerade or at the show." He nodded.
Condemned Legacy: Yes, Uriah was well aware of Adrianne's habits and thankfully, she wasn't the Jersey Housewife type by flipping tables and carrying on like a mad woman. He remained quiet for a moment as Adrianne expressed her interest in wanting to meet Meghan. "She quite the Lady." Uriah said with a nod. "Has to be if she's having to put up with this.." Hand slipped free from his pocket as he thumbed at Alex, with a grin. -d
Tawdry Taboo: When Uriah added his thoughts on Mehgan she simply smirked. "Oh and what would people say about me putting up with you?" That grin lasted for quite awhile, though she found herself drawn to the mention of a masquerade. "A masquerade? Show?" She glanced between the pair like she'd missed something, she certainly hadn't heard anything about either one of them.
Alex Vipond: "Yeah one of the good father's admonitions was to be forgiving should I forget and leave the toilet seat up." he nodded. Yes, that had actually been a part of their ceremony. It had cracked everyone up. Alex nodded. "The Fire and Ice Masquerade is a three day charity event to benefit Donate Life, The Michael J Fox Foundation and Autism Speaks." he nodded. "And the show is on the sixteenth, I think of next month. There is also a Sadie Hawkins Dance on the 9th of November."
Condemned Legacy: "That you're off your bloody trolley?" he replied with a snicker. Uriah was about to answer her where the events were concerned, but Alex beat him to it. "Lots of events coming up and all for good causes." -d
Tawdry Taboo: Tilting her head she listened in on the news of the upcoming events, though she did wince when Alex mentioned that at least two of them would be taking place after her time in Seattle would be through. "When is the Masquerade?" Perhaps she could attend at least that much? As for the remainder, she couldn't help but glance toward Uriah before she decided to just ignore the fact that she'd be headed out before too long.
Alex Vipond: "The twenty-fifth, sixth and seventh. Which falls on the weekend before Halloween." He looked between them. The show actually wasn't in Seattle, so perhaps there was a chance she could attend.
Tawdry Taboo: Honestly she hadn't really discussed much of the future with Uriah, she'd simply allowed the time to pass and enjoyed it for what it was. A month really wasn't as long as it could have been and she'd already burnt up a week and a half of that time already. "I should still be here for the Masquerade, I'd be happy to attend... if it's for a good cause of course."
Alex Vipond: "The show will be at the Grumpy Gator, tickets are on sale now, ten dollars in advance and fifteen at the door." He nodded. Shameless plug, yes, but hey, the pictures she was shooting would be those he signed at the show.
Tawdry Taboo: "The masquerade is going to be at the grumpy gator? I am surprised the tickets are so cheap... I bet you could easily drill up more money. Shocked it isn't a bigger venue too for something like a masquerade." Nevertheless she would still show up and put her money into it. "So is it more of a costume party then or is it a full out ball gown kind of affair? Cause I have been to my fair share of real masquerades in the court." The sidhe court that was... they did enjoy a good party and they loved everything to be over the top extravagant.
Alex Vipond: "No, the show is at the Grumpy Gator, the Masquerade is going to be here in Seattle."
Tawdry Taboo: "But the show isn't until next month, right? My contract ends here at the end of October..." Saying it out loud made it seem a bit more real, which honestly wasn't what she wanted. It even managed to bring a tiny hint of a frown to her usually upturned lips.
Alex Vipond: "Well the show isn't here, there's a chance you could make it." he shrugged. "Maybe." he nodded. "And who's to say, maybe you'll be persuaded to stick around?"
Tawdry Taboo: "The grumpy gator is still here, isn't it?" She smiled slightly, though her attention shifted with the mention of her being persuaded to stick around. "We'll see..." She wasn't going to count on that possibility, though she wouldn't completely disregard it either. As for the conversation, well it was a little tense and she wasn't the kind of person who enjoyed coping with real emotions or tension, it was far more fun to simply be... happy. "So tell me more about the masquerade, where is it going to be... what am I supposed to wear? That kind of thing..."
Alex Vipond: "Ah no, the Grumpy Gator is not in Seattle and the Masquerade is being held at the Queen Anne Community Center on 1st Avenue." he nodded. "Very nice place. It will be decorated in theme..."
Condemned Legacy: "Speaking of which.... this Fire And Ice theme.... I'm guessing that means that suits should reflect white or red?" He asked, curiously. Being out of the social loops for a few years, parties and such likely changed in certain ways. Suits meaning, men’s dress code of course. He was sure the women would be wearing evening gowns or some such. -d
Tawdry Taboo: Technicalities were really not her thing, but she let it go at that. Instead she paid particular attention to the theme of the masquerade and what she would be expected to wear. What would suit her more... fire or ice? Well that wasa no brainer for the summer born sprite. "I think I would shoot for red myself before white... embrace my inner light and all that jazz." She glanced once more to Uriah, who seemed to finally queue into the conversation. Probably for the best he missed most of it.
Alex Vipond: "Yes. That's the general idea." He nodded. "Not sure how Meghan and I are doing. I highly doubt I will be wearing white though. Most likely I'll go with black and red accents. And of course a mask..."
Condemned Legacy: Uriah pondered the possibilities. He had a feeling he'd be wearing white. He tended to be a bit bold. Stepping out and wearing the opposite of what most would likely wear. Maybe with a hint of red to break up the solidness of the color. "You don't need to look slim, you already look like the wind could carry you away." he teased. The man was scrawny. However, Uriah knew what Alex lacked in size, he made up for it in personality. That was for sure. Had to. With a wife like Meghan? "I think I might go with white. We shall see." -d
Alex Vipond: "White tends to wash me out." He nodded. "It was worse in my blond days..."
Tawdry Taboo: Tilting her head she looked between the pair, though she did find herself rolling her eyes as she laughed. "Two men debating about what to wear to a ball... I never thought I would see the day." With a snicker she brought a finger up to quirk beneath her lip before she glanced toward Alex. "Smart move playing off of Meghan, you'll want to compliment whatever she wears... no need to clash with the arm candy. You of course being the candy to her obviously superior self." She laughed again and started to pack up the camera, that shoot had definitely ran its course.
Condemned Legacy: What did you expect? One man was a former model and the other was an entertainer.... Presentation meant everything. "Can you honestly blame us?" he asked with a smirk. "Though.... I think I'm going to be at a loss when it comes to the mask thing. Is it anything goes as long as it matches red or white?" he asked curiously, glancing between them both at first but gaze settled on Alex. -d
Tawdry Taboo: He might have had a point, it wasn't like she was dealing with the typical man, between the pair she could have very well been talking to Liberace. Shaking her head she just let it go, only to peek up toward Alex when the masks were mentioned.
Alex Vipond: "Yeah, well, it's not easy being this put together." Actually, it was. Twenty minutes, start to finish and he was done. Meghan? Two hours. "As long as it rests in theme, you're good. I can easily see a lot of
Alex Vipond: black. I need to get Meghan some ice...." he started patting himself down, looking for his phone, then wandered off to the dressing room.
Condemned Legacy: Uriah smirked with Alex's reply to Adrianne. Though, his response to Uriah's inquiry had the Brit still scratching his head. The reply? Didn't help much at all. He then watched as Alex moved off in search of ....something. Gaze: turned back to Adrianne. "Seeing as we're discussing things in regards to this Masquerade... I was hoping that perhaps you would accompany me?" Yes, the man was officially asking her out. -d
Alex Vipond: Alex wandered back, phone in hand, and what was he doing? Jewelry shopping. Yep. He was looking for ice to deck out his woman with.
Tawdry Taboo: Rolling her eyes with Alex's remark she went right on about her business. "Boys and their primping..." With a grin still laced upon her lips she tucked the camera away, zipped the pack shut and rose to her full height once more. "Did he say ice?" What on earth was he talking about... apparently the jewelry slang was lost on her. Her attention shifted to Uriah once more when he addressed her. "Are you asking me out... like really asking me out? Doesn't that violate some bachelor rule you live by?"
Condemned Legacy: Uriah knew exactly what Alex had meant by purchasing some ice for Meghan. "Yes he did. He means jewelry... ice... diamonds." Uriah said to Adrianne. "And bachelor rule? Not really. But if you have plans...." he said as he smirked.: -d
Tawdry Taboo: A brow bucked upward at that and she simply glanced after Alex with a grin. "Good for him... no wonder she is always so happy." Her eyes tipped back to Uriah once more before she rolled her shoulders, offering a hint of a shrug. "I never said I had plans... but you know, I like to have my options. You never know, I might find some other cantankerous ex model Brit to escort me to the ball. He might even buy me ice and admit to his romantic gestures."
Condemned Legacy: "I'm sure there are lots of cantankerous ex model Brits out there who would love to be one of those options. However, this one was asking first." he replied. Amused expression in place. "And romantic gestures? I don't do romance." added with a smirk. -d
Tawdry Taboo: Folding her arms beneath her chest she cocked a hip as she eyed him, almost measuring him up with that weighted gaze. "Well you are not exactly playing fair, asking me right after I found out about it, you're really not leaving anyone else any time to try for my company. One might even think you are trying to monopolize me, Mr. Sorrelli." She shook her head and leveled her jaw with a stern expression. "I will go with you on one condition... you have to admit you were trying to be romantic." Either with the original dinner or the gifts that followed... either way she wasn't going to let him get away with pretending it wasn't happening anymore.
Alex Vipond: "It's all part of his evil plan to win you into his good graces." He looked up from his phone, looked between them and then went right back to his online shopping.
Condemned Legacy: Uriah nodded and smirked before thumbing over to Alex. "What he said." Though, when Adrianne gave her conditions, Uriah gave her a stink eye. The man had been romantic. A little. "Why are you getting all huffy? Did I ruffle the feathers of this pretty little bird?" he teased. "Alright... So I was attempting romance." he admitted with a eye roll. Women. So bloody complicated. -d
Tawdry Taboo: While she was doing her best to look stern there was a hint of a glimmer in her eye when Alex made that comment, though she remained tough until Uriah finally gave in and told her what she wanted to hear. "Now see, was that all that hard to admit? Yes, Uriah, I will go to the masquerade with you... since you asked so nicely." With a smile she even offered a bat of her eyes before laughing softly. "It takes more than your denial to ruffle my feathers, English, but if you would prefer me ruffled you can keep right on trying."
Condemned Legacy: "Yes, yes it was." he answered, but of course he was teasing her. "And thank you. I look forward to our night together." Her response about the ruffling of feathers had him smirk. He simply nodded. "I'm sure I will." he added. Trying that is.. for fun of course. –d
Tawdry Taboo: "Awe, poor baby, Adrianne is so mean to you... making you admit to that inner romantic. So absolutely cruel and unusual." She pursed her lips and offered her best baby talk tone, batting her lashes and feeding into his little tease whole heartedly. "Mhm, I am sure you do, just wait till you see all this..." Motioning to herself with a wave of her hand before snapping her fingers in the air. "All dressed up." With a giggle she simply shook her head and made her way closer toward Uriah. "I wouldn't have it any other way, English."
Condemned Legacy: "I know. You really should be ashamed of yourself Adrianne." he replied. "And I'm sure whatever you find yourself wearing that night, it'll be lovely. As everything always does." he replied. He glanced to his watch and sighed. It was late and he was actually tired for once. These last few nights without sleep were finally catching up to him. He even stifled a yawn and gave an apologetic look to them both. -d
Tawdry Taboo: "Terribly, I am almost so ashamed, I can hardly stand it." Canting her head with his compliment she simply smiled. "Ah flattery, how kind." When he glanced at his watch and he actually yawned she simply frowned. Well apparently he wouldn't be sticking around much longer. "I think you can go home to Meghan now, Alex or go buy some ice or whatever it is you do. Thank you for the shoot and I will make sure the pictures are delivered a.s.a.p." With that she lifted her bag up and over her shoulder, glancing Uriah's way once more. "It was nice to see you again, English, no matter how short a visit..."
Condemned Legacy: Uriah glanced to Alex, gave a nod as if to say, I'll catch up with you later. Then he was looking back to Adrianne. "The night doesn't have to end here." he replied. "We could go for coffee?" he asked. -d
Tawdry Taboo: Pausing she glanced his way once more, eyes darting toward his watch before she gave it a point. "You were eyeing that thing pretty hard... you sure you want to spend more time out right now? You don't have somewhere else you need to be?"
Condemned Legacy: "Other than a large lonely home? No I've no other place to be." he replied. "I can even give you a ride somewhere if you need it." -d
Alex Vipond: That was Alex's cue and he grabbed his gear and started for the door, still eyeing his phone, still looking for the perfect ice with which to frost his wife.
Tawdry Taboo: She eyed him for a moment, questioning his question before nodding in turn. "Alright, you can take me somewhere; we'll work out the details along the way." With her bag in tow she headed for the door on Alex's heels, prepared to lock up and call it a night.
