Please note: Applications are no longer necessary, but if you want your character on the cast wall, please follow the instructions below.
PLEASE READ
Our current setting is Seattle which is inhabited by all manner of creatures, (vampires, lycans, shifters, witches, fae, nephilim) who are living on the edge of society, trying to blend in without freaking out the 'norms', IE they do their best to not out themselves to the human population.
As our name states, characters from Anita Blake, Anne Rice, Vampire Diaries, etc, are welcome, though we do ask that you stay within the genre. IE a supernatural theme. No Iron Man, much as we love Tony Stark and or want to be him.
If you want your character on the cast wall:
1. Please email the mods your:
Character Name
Screen Name
Race (IE human, vampire, etc)
Character Model name
Character Model picture (head shot, 200x200 pixels)
Example:
Profile Link
2. Register to the board
Following these instructions will get your character plugged into the forum.
Please post your character's abilities and weaknesses on the forum once you've completed your registration.
Our basic rules:
Respect.
Play Fair.
Do not piss in the pool.
If you piss in the pool, you need to have logs to back up your claims. If you become an OOC problem, you will be removed. One warning is all you get.
K.I.S.S.
If you're playing a vampire, play a vampire. If you're playing a demon, play a demon. Please don't play one half one thing, two parts something else. It gets confusing for both the mods and the other players. Also, any changes to what your character is, should be finalized before play begins. Please do not decide two months down the road that you want to change what he or she is.
We are not turned based. We do however expect people to try not to step on their fellow players. Also, if one can limit their posts, (other than those setting the initial scene which will usually be the room owner) to four or five boxes, it would be greatly appreciated.
We have not had any combat issues and would like to keep it that way. Everyone seems to have a firm grasp of turn based logic when it comes to combat and personally we hate dice unless it involves a casino.
Wikipedia is an absolutely fantastic resource. Please bear in mind, that some species on Wikipedia also contain information on modern or anime versions of a species. Please use the folklore, not the modern, cartoon version.
Character limits: We don't have any. We do ask that you only have as many characters as you can handle, and that you keep in mind the players of those characters that you interact with so that no one is left hanging.
What we are: Folklore based. If the creature can be found in age old myths, and or biblical reference, it can be found here.
What we aren't: DC Comics, Marvel, Anime, Twilight.
