230 pm - Visitation with Lana Kirah
Leland:
Leland was sitting in the visitation booth. Uncuffed since he was in the booth and locked in. The glass was sitting between him and Lana when she would arrive. He'd wait for her to enter before picking up the phone. Blues studying her. -d
Lana:
In truth, the brunette really hesitated in making an appearance ... not that she didn't care, but the idea of seeing someone who was, for all intents and purposes family locked up? It didn't sit well with her. However, after a conversation with Mars ... she bit the bullet, so to speak; and was officially easing into the seat behind the glass. Baby blue eyes shifted across Leland then, studying him just as he'd done to her - though obviously she was more concerned for his physical welfare. Fingers finally plucked the phone from the receiver, and with a slow intake of breath ... "Hello, Leland." [d]
Leland:
Searching her gaze, the way she spoke his name had him tilt his head back slightly. What was he wanting to say about this? "I cant talk long.." Informing her. " Im going to talk to my Lawyer. Plead not guilty.." What he was going to fight to get out? " Theres a bunch of shit going on here..alot I cant say." His voice was a low tone, as if worried the C/O outside would hear him. Even though he knew damn well that the phone was recording. He lifted his hand up to her and then pointed at his mouth. Asking in a way if she could read lips. -d
Lana:
"I understand," she offered finally, one elbow gently resting upon the ledge of the booth she was housed in. With his revelation, however; those finely manicured brows darted up and she actually managed to offer a quick tug of a smile at each corner of her mouth. "Finally ..." She actually sighed with that word, but at the mention of things going on, her brow furrowed - and soon, she was nodding her head. Her gaze drifted away from his eyes this time around, and focused there upon his mouth. [d]
Leland:
For some reason, Leland had an idea the woman did know. There are Bosses in here who were in that guy's pocket. They aint too happy. Any phone calls I use are watched. My mail is watched. Tell everyone to stop writing me. Dare for one. I dont want them to be using them to get to me. I already got hit up in here. They aint too happy i took out one of the high rollers and they will be looking for those captives.. so where and when you find them keep them safe. He paused. " Hows Mars?" Okay, making it seem like he was having a conversation. -d
Lana:
She hadn't meant for the gaze she'd fixated upon his mouth to practically shift to that of a stare that would've burned through a soul if she'd wanted it to. But the knowledge that things were hinky, well; it didn't sit well with her - and the fact that the others were also in danger twisted her insides. Her throat worked faintly and she mustered a smile at the verbalized words ... "He's hanging in there, upset over this whole thing ... understandably. We've been busy, I think that helps." Busy? Well, she wasn't going to go and tell him what they'd been up to ... especially with their communications being monitored. "So, you really want me to drop by and tell Abby to stop visiting? That'll be my next stop if you're still on that choo choo train." [d]
Leland:
Leland breathed deeply and nodded. " Yes. Tell her I dont want to see her. To stop visiting" With everyone going on I dont want her to get involved in this mess. Inform Sasha whats going on also, they are watchign her. He was tilting his head and cracking his neck from the tension that rose. -d
Lana:
"Understood. I'll inform her of your decision." Her gaze flickered back and forth between his eyes and his mouth, and a touch of a smirk crept upon her lips. I'll make the calls as soon as we're done here. Might need to buy the group of us burner phones. She paused and extended out an index finger in his direction, tapping the glass ... "That color looks like crap on you, by the way." [d]
Leland:
Leland gave her a dull expression. Then he spoke, well mouthed. Look into C/O Rodriguez. He seem's to be the ring leader here. " Well I wasnt arrested for my fashion mishaps" -d
Lana:
Rodriguez, got it. They'll learn not to fuck with family. The words were mouthed before she popped another smile, tilting her head at his statement regarding his fashion mishap. "True, Mister Stylish you are not. You want me to pass on anything to Mars?" Yeah, putting him on the spot right there ... Leland's brother was number one on her list of important people; so it was only natural. Are you in immediate danger, or do you have things somewhat under control? [d]
Leland:
"No." Simply. He had nothing to say to Mars as of yet. And he shook his head about the danger. " I can handle it" Meaning both danger and speaking to Mars. There was a knock and the tray slot was opened. It was time, Leland hung up the phone and kept his stare on Lana before he was backing up and cuffing up. Only then to be escorted out. -d
Lana:
She narrowed her eyes just a touch at his sudden no, she was trying hard not to scowl too much at him. "Fine," she murmured and nodded - her lips pursing shortly thereafter. Baby blue eyes shifted over in the direction of the slot, and then cut back toward him. Nostrils flared and she took to her feet to watch him be escorted out in cuffs ... Once he was out of view, she pivoted and nodded to the officer posted nearby; and once she was escorted out in turn? She'd go straight to Mars - he needed to have this update immediately. [d]
