Alex Vipond: There was a line of limos in front of the hotel ready to take the wedding party to the wedding. Franc was there fussing over them all like a mother hen and making sure Alex did not see Meghan before she was actually walked down the aisle. Therefore bride and groom were loaded at separate times into separate cars. Meghan’s would leave first, so that she and her brides maids could be ensconced in the tent by the time the groom arrived. Charlie of course would accompany his daughter.
Charles J Riley: Charlie lead Meghan to the car, making sure all the dress was in before he looked the priest. "In you go, Padre."
Jake Collingwood: --It was Jake's usual wedding look that he had perfected: scruffy slacker manager chic. With his hair it's usual somewhat unkempt self, Jake was attired in his white linen shirt, with black suit jacket and a matching pair of black pants. It had worked for the past several weddings for him, so why stop now? As the group was getting ready to leave, Jake had his lovely new blonde lover Shay in tow. Walking hand in hand, the new couple made their way to the wedding party limo, shooting the Southern Belle a brief, but cheeky smile. Saying to her-- "Ready?-- (d)
Meghan Vipond: Priest, bride, father of the bride, and brides maid were ushered into one limo and hurried off while others were placed into other vehicles and followed. Of course, once Meghan and company reached where they were to have the ceremony, they were all rushed into the bridal tent. Last minute touch ups were made and she was staring at herself in a stand up mirror, provided by Franc. Hands were smoothing down over the gown and she was all. Tonight was goingto be a great night. They would have all their closest family and friends here to celebrate the start of a new beginning. [d]
Father Jack: Father Jack was old fashioned, dressed in a black cassock with white collar peeking from underneath a neatly trimmed beard of white. When Charlie turned to speak to him, he'd see the man taking a sip from a silver hip flask, which was decorated with an ornate silver crucifix. "Hmm?" He offered a fatherly smile, and recapped his flask, replacing it into a hidden pocket beneath the guilded cloth draped over his shoulders. "Ah. The hour has arrived at last. How I do enjoy bringing two young people together." At least people still got married. With gnarled hands clasped comfortably behind his back, Father Jack strolled down the aisle toward the altar with a placid smile on his face, enjoying the day, the atmosphere, and the fact that two young people in love were going to be joined together forever. It always lifted his heart to see the look on the groom's face when his bride strolled down the aisle to his side. He was humming the marriage march as he took up position on the top step of the dais.
Miss Shaylen: "Am I ever not?" she asked, with a devilish smile. It was a loaded question, of course. As he found out, she took forever to decide what to wear and like most women, she was a little late, but fashionably so. Shaylen squeezed his hand as they made their way to the limo, the little lady keeping the bride in mind when she chose her attire of a strapless chiffon knee-length dress in plum and a pair of black peep-toe pumps that matched the faint polka dots on fabric, not wanting to call attention to herself when it was Meghan's day (and Alex's!). "You look, handsome," she nudged her new found boyfriend a little, eyeing him up and down in the suit. -d-
Helena Thorn: Helena was already within the vicinity. Dressed in a rather elegant black low at the neck dress. Blonde hair swept up and twisted in a intricate way. Rubies adorned her neckline, and earrings. For the moment she remained off to the simply observing the happy couple. Ghost of a smile on those rouge lips. Simply basking in the liveliness of the people here. –d
Javier LaBeaux: Javier felt his tuxedo jacket where pockets should be, absently searching for a cigar that wouldn't be found. "Is he a Roman Catholic priest?" he asked Alex quietly, eyeing Jack.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan was getting butterflies in her stomach. She didn't know why. Technically, she and Alex were already married, but they had wanted to do this for family and friends, so that none felt left out. She carefully moved from the mirror and to the slit where the tent flaps were. She was careful to peek out. Seeing the gathering of those in attendance. Butterflies turned to knots. Dezzy was fidgeting over a few of the buttons that lined the back of Meghan's wedding dress. Despite their being on the beach... she was wearing a traditional gown. White with red. Thankfully, the night would continue to cool down. And the great thing was, she didn't have to wear shoes! Her dress would hide her bare feet. [d]
Jake Collingwood: --At least with Shay staying with him at the hotel, Jake could at least keep tabs with how long she was taking., but she wasn't bad at all. As they reached the limo, Jake glanced at the blonde beauty, chuckling while saying-- "I clean up all right. But you put me to shame..." --As they reached the limo door, he held the door for Shay to let the woman slide in first and followed her in, sliding onto the leather seat next to her. Leaning in, he'd give the blonde a soft kiss on the lips. He was more than happy to remain quiet and enjoy the oncoming events-- (d)
Charles J Riley: One would think Charlie was standing guard, rather than waiting to walk his daughter down the aisle as he stood outside the tent that held the girls. "How you doing in there?"
Alex Vipond: "Not offended are you?" Alex regarded his long time friend and best man. "You can blame Franc, he's the wedding planner, but ... I too, at one time was a member of the church. You know, back when daylight wasn't such an issue." He kept his voice low, and looked around as folks filed in, or out as it were. Since the beach was the scene. Standing next to Javier in his black on black suit, barefoot on the sand, he fidgeting with his tie.
Meghan Vipond: "I'm okay. I think..." she replied softly as she spoke to her father through the slit. "What about you?" she asked. "Are you alright?" [d]
Charles J Riley: "I'm just jim dandy." His only daughter was marrying a long haired musician, again. At least the kid had taste.
Javier LaBeaux: "Offended?" Javier chuckled. "Alexandre," he chided with a roll of his tongue. Dark brown eyes skimmed those arriving and the rest already in attendance. "Voodoo has many traits of the Church of Rome. It's a good thing that you're already..." His the low voice faded. "You know. A priest...any priest...is not one to which you should lie." The serious gaze shifted to Alex's eyes. Ending the warning, he gave a deep laugh and clapped Alex on the back. "Aren't you going to ask me if I have the ring?"
Miss Shaylen: Another squeeze, her smile lingering as she blushed despite her best attempts not to -- it was a lost cause, she could never control it. Blue eyes lifted to his with a wink, "Bet you say that to all the girls," she grinned, letting him help her into the limo, but instead of responding, he leaned in to give her a soft kiss, showing her it just wasn't so. Sitting there, she smoothed the dress down against her legs, nestling up against him as the driver took them where they needed to go. -d-
Alex Vipond: As soon as the bride was ready, the cellist, no not Dezzy, she's occupied elsewhere, would strike up the wedding march. Arms, Joey and Danny were seated on the grooms side. Looking very somber, as if they were in shock, each likely wondering which one was next. Didn't these things run in threes? Alex looked at Javier, confused. He leaned toward him. "Why would I have to lie?" He didn't understand that, and then his eyes widened. "You have it don't you?" Note of panic to his voice? You bet.
Jake Collingwood: --His response to Shay's cute comment about the girls was his usual sarcastic self, responding-- "Just ones I go to weddings with." --That was followed by a wink and quick jet of a tongue to tease the blonde. As they got comfortable in the limo, that large hand of Jake's caressed Shay's bare arm as they continued on their way, saying to her-- "Probably a bit different than some of the weddings you've been to in the past..." --Knowing a bit about her past, Jake wondered about the sort of high society weddings that Shay was perhaps accustomed to- or perhaps he just had her figured all wrong-- (d)
Meghan Vipond: Meghan was getting hot flashes now. Her cheeks were getting all rosy and Dez was grabbing up something to fan Meghan off. [d]
Javier LaBeaux: Javier lifted his hand with the ring securely pinched between forefinger and thumb. When his hand lowered, the ring was gone and he patted his pockets to look for the absent stogie without thinking. "It's a slippery slope and not one to begin now."
Alex Vipond: "What would I be lying about?" Javier was either jerking his chain just to make him sweat, which was working by the way, or there was some cardinal sin he was about to commit.
Charles J Riley: Nerves. Happened every time and it wasn't the sole property of the bride. Grooms, and father of the bride got it too. A fact Charlie was just now realizing. Idly he wondered if his father in law had gone through this. He got a perverse bit of pleasure out of that thought.
Miss Shaylen: Shaylen was laughing softly. "So long as it's got a bride and groom, it can't be that different." She nudged into him again, eyes sparkling with mischief because she was teasing him. Sort of. She hadn't been to a wedding on a beach before, but that's because no one she'd known ever did so. Lacing her fingers through his, she looked out the window at the scenery -- it was a beautiful night for his friend's big day. -d-
Jake Collingwood: --He wasn't going to pry when discussing her upbringing, or the lifestyle she was used to. He was sure most of the weddings she'd been to were fairly close to his. One thing could Jake was that this was the first time he was sober to a wedding in a while. Shay probably had a lot to do with that. But Jake took his lover's hand as well, glancing out the window, replying-- "It's gonna be 42 in Seattle on Monday, are you sure you're ready for that?" --Just trying to get a reaction out of her about her big move with him to Seattle. That shit-eating smirk just appeared glued on his face until she answered-- (d)
Meghan Vipond: --- Queue's the Wedding March Music ---
Charles J Riley: When the music came up, Charlie turned to the tent flap, and offered his arm out to Meghan as she stepped out. He smiled to her, and tucked her hand into the crook of his arm, before kissing her cheek. "You look beautiful." They would follow Dezzy, once she reached the wedding party, Charlie's attention shifting between his daughter and his son in law.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan stepped out from her tent and moved into position. She and Charlie watched as Dezzy made her way down the isle to join the others. Meghan looked to Charlie with a smile as Franc was behind them, fluffing out the wedding gown's train. With her arm in Charlie's she held the bouquet of flowers and she was ready when he was. She was all smiles. Despite feeling a little... sick to her stomach. The color in her cheeks had dissipated some but it passed for touch of blush make up applied. [d]
Alex Vipond: When the music came up, Alex turned, watching as first Dezzy and then Meghan on Charlie's arm came toward him next. His smile grew.
Javier LaBeaux: Javier declined to answer, as promised, nodding when the music began and the ceremony claimed Alex's attention. He shuffled to the right spot, smiling when Meghan and Charlie appeared.
Charles J Riley: That Franc was such a little fluffer. Charlie's eyes went to Alex's as he handed his daughter over, and clapped him on the shoulder. Miss Shaylen: They'd arrived at the destination to find they were a little late just like they thought. "I'm sorry," she smiled sheepishly, lowering her voice as they headed toward the seats, talking to Jake. "Blame it on the new girlfriend." With that, they were quickly seating themselves. -d-
Meghan Vipond: Meghan was handed off from Charlie to Alex and she was smiling wide. She looked to Dezzy, Javier, Alex and then the Priest. She took a deep, slow breath. Okay, ready! [d]
Alex Vipond: Smiling to Charlie, Alex then looked at Meghan, his eyes drinking her in, taking her hands in his, and then he too looked to the priest. Jake Collingwood: --Blame it on the limo driver taking the long way, because he thought it would save time. Any way, Jake and Shay quietly made their way into the ceremony, sliding into a pair of seats. He gave her a look of "don't worry about it" and went to the proceedings-- (d)
Father Jack: Father Jack watched the two young people with a grin, hands clasped in front of himself as he looked down upon the pair. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the joining of Meghan and Alex in holy matrimony. It's often that the world sees such a pure and fiery love between two people, but the shine in the eyes of these two hearts is all the confirmation we need to realize that although there is darkness in the world, the light of our love, and God's love can heal and lift up all. The gift of such love between two young people is the hand of the Almighty, smiling down upon us and giving us the most precious gift that life has to offer. Here now is the melding of two souls long since lost from each other and finally reunited to grant each other happiness that has been lacking in their lives. We all lack happiness in some form, until we realize we already have it, but haven't yet discovered it within ourselves. Look now upon these two and see that such a deep welling of the soul is possible for all of us." He motioned first to Alex. "Do you, Alex Vipond, take Meghan Riley to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to, through sickness and health, through the little arguments that drive a wedge between you such as leaving the seat up, or using your favorite screwdriver to open a can of paint?"
Charles J Riley: Charlie listened as he sat back, listening to the exchange of vows, a smirk given.
Alex Vipond: "I do." He smiled and nodded then cracked up as the last of what he'd said sunk in.
Father Jack: "Such small things can often snowball into larger arguments, and from there a union can be threatened. To truly accept Meghan as your wife, you must work on preventing this from happening." He looked from Alex, to Meghan, and then to the assembled crowd. This was for you too, people. "Meghan Riley, do you take Alex Vipond as your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, through sickness and health, through his getting the wrong items at the grocery store and forgetting to get the bills delivered on time?"
Meghan Vipond: Meghan was smirking as she looked from Alex to the Priest and then back. "I do." It took all she had not to bust out laughing. Really. [d]
Father Jack: Jack looked up toward the ceiling, smiling as he extended his hands toward the sky. "Lord God, in Thy infinite wisdom and mercy, wrap your loving hands around this couple and give them many years of happiness, prosperity, and many children. E nomine patri, et fili, et spiritus sanctii." He held up two fingers and waved the sign of the cross over their heads. "I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Alex Vipond: Alex's shoulders were shaking he was trying so hard not to laugh. As the blessing was given, Alex tensed, almost as if waiting for lightning to strike, but when it didn't, he smiled and leaned in, one hand cupping the back of Meghan's head as he kissed her like he meant it. And he did.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan's eyes cut from Alex to the Priest and back and when the blessing was given, she too leaned in for the kiss. And what a kiss it was. It left her near breathless. [d]
Jake Collingwood: --Damn, the quickest ceremony ever- which was a good thing cause Jake got restless generally at these things. He clapped for the new married couple and just gave Shay a brief smile, leaning down to give her a soft kiss-- (d)
Charles J Riley: Charlie was beaming, even though Alex seemed intent on playing tonsil hockey. He clapped, then cleared his throat. "Let's eat!"
Miss Shaylen: It was clapping all around, actually, from the petite blonde as well. She hadn't known the couple all that long, but it was easy to tell they were in love. Catching the look from her handsome date, she cast him a little smile and found herself kissing him again, softly, before chuckling at what Charlie had to say -- it reminded her of her grandmother. -d-
Alex Vipond: Alex chuckled at Charlie's words, the kiss broken, but there was promise of a continuation in his eyes when he looked back at Meghan.

Meghan Vipond: Meghan laughed and turned with Alex to face the crowd. She was pretty much beaming. Which was just... strange. Meghan wasn't one to beam. Not usually. She cut her eyes to Alex and she knew that look, oh so well. She just grinned and then nodded. [d]
Nicolette Benoit: Off somewhere in the shadows, there was a figure in a champagne colored gown. Long, flowing, elegant. Long blonde locks all pinned up and hidden beneath a matching wide brim sun hat with a sort of mesh about the face. Blues watched as man and woman were all smiles. Yes... she had come to see for herself. It may have been without Alea's permission, or even without proper escort, but Nicole had to see for herself, if what Roan had reparted, was in fact truth. And so it seemed to be just that. Nicole had the gift of calling to the shadows and that was where she lurked. For now. [d]
Alex Vipond: "You heard the man, let's eat!" Alex grinned and led Meghan toward the table where they'd been set up. Franc was working on getting the entertainment under way, and the photographer was looking to get some shots of them while there was still some vestigial light in the sky.
Jake Collingwood: --There was a little smirk when he heard Alex responded "let's eat", which could mean an entirely different things at a wedding like this and knowing what he knew. But he figured they were fine, as he stood up, slipping his hand into Shay's and slowly made their way towards the dinner-- (d)
Miss Shaylen: His hand swallowed hers, fingers falling through the spaces, gently clinging as he guided her along, the two of them following the Bride and Groom as well as the other guests to where they'd be eating, but food was the last thing on her mind currently with what the view was like. "It's beautiful out here," she murmured to Jake, walking with him to the table. -d-
Alex Vipond: Alex felt, rather than saw the presence, and he looked around, trying to find the source as Franc herded people toward the table. Clucking like a mother hen. Alex's eyes went to Javier, one brow rising.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan was grinning from ear to ear as she and Alex along with others were making way for the dinner tables. She should have known Charlie would be the first who was ready to dig in. [d]
Jake Collingwood: --The wedding planner did not like Jake's laidback approach on reaching the table, and gave Jake some evil look. Jake wondered what the hell his problem was, all while escorting Shay to the dinner table. Holding her chair to let her in her seat first, Jake would only sit afterwards and watched as dinner began-- (d)
Nicolette Benoit: Nicole remained far enough away that she could blend in with other on lookers from a distance. Where most would have trouble seeing details from where she was, as a vampire, she had excellent sight. [d]
Charles J Riley: Charlie moved to Meghan and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "I have to admit, you two cut a fine figure."
Alex Vipond: "Thank you, Charlie." he figured that was pretty damned close to a stamp of approval.
Charles J Riley: Charlie's gaze cut ot Alex and he regarded him a long moment before he offered his hand out. "Welcome, Son."
Alex Vipond: Taking the offered hand, he grinned at Charlie and gave a firm, well appreciative shake.
Meghan Vipond: Meghan leaned into the kiss pressed to her cheek. "Thank you." she replied and grinned as she looked to Alex. She spoted Jake and his lady friend and excused herself for a moment to go and greet them. After having done the same to Javier. He was looking rather spiffy! [d]
Alex Vipond: Pimp Daddy Papa Javier always looked fly.
Miss Shaylen: Shaylen had noticed the look given to Jake, and she laughed. "What did you do to him?" she whispered softly, leaning close as he sat beside her after holding her chair out for her -- he was quite the gentleman! Blue eyes looked around, and she noticed Meghan headed their way, the pretty blonde smiling at her, all set to congratulate the woman. -d-
Nicolette Benoit: Arms folded over one another, across her chest. Slowly. The sort that was evil like. And haughty in nature. She was.... simmering. Look at him. He was happy. Disgustingly happy. [d]
Jake Collingwood: --Jake laughed, leaning in to whisper to Shay- "He was up my ass to head to the table. It was just rude." --As they got settled in, the lovely bride stopped by to greet them. Jake would compliment Meghan and extend a hand to her, saying-- "Meghan, this is Shay Quinterre. My date for the evening, and you'll be seeing a bit more of her, since she'll be coming back to Seattle with me." --The two had an immediate connection, and he'd be damned if he let that lapse due to time apart-- (d)
Meghan Vipond: Meghan was approaching Jake and Shay, smiling wide. "Hey... its good to see you both. Glad you were both able to make it." She leaned in for a little hug, carefully, and given to each as she stooped or bent as necessary. She drewback, nodded and smiled. "Yeah, we met at the show in the volcano. It was brief though... I had a call I had to take." she replied to Jake. When he mentioned Shay would be coming with him to Seattle, she grinned. "I hope you're prepared for the weather. Its not anything like Hawaii here." [d]
Alex Vipond: Yes, he was disgustingly happy. He moved to follow his happily wedded, again, wife, who was meeting and greeting. He smiled as he looked from one to the other. "You're coming to Seattle? Wonderful!" God help them when Sedona found out.
Miss Shaylen: She hugged Meghan in return, congratulating her and complimenting her dress. "You're beautiful," she nodded, "as was the wedding." When Jake mentioned Seattle, something in her eyes sparkled just a little bit more, looking from him to the happy couple -- Alex having joined his wife to greet them. "Mhm," she nodded, excitedly, even if she tried to control it. "It's weather," she chuckled. "It could get worse. I mean, y'all could live in Alaska." There was that little drawl, and she was of the cup's half full kind, preferring to look at the brighter side. "Besides," she said softer still, only for Jake to hear. "I've got you to keep me warm." As for Jake's ex -- the southern belle had no clue what to expect, nor was she even on her mind. -d-
Jake Collingwood: --His hand slid behind Shay's back as Meghan discussed what weather waited ahead for them back in Seattle. He laughed upon hearing the Alaska, saying-- "I mean, it's not that cold there. But the swampy Louisiana weather, it is not." --Upon hearing Shay's comment about keeping her warm, his hand slid over her arm once more, pulling her to his side softly, saying-- "Yes you do." --His glance went back to the newly married couple-- "Anyways, I'll take her shopping when we next back for some real winter clothes..." -- (d)
Meghan Vipond: "Oh, thank you... I knew this was the dress the moment I slipped it on." she replied. "As for the wedding? That's all Alex and Franc. I only had a say in a few things. And I was perfctly fine with that." she added with an amused smile. It was actually nice that her hair was all pulled back into that elegant style. She wasn't having to constantly brush it aside from her eyes or anything. [d]
Charles J Riley: What ever the others were doing... Charlie was eating and watching the floor... sand, show.
Alex Vipond: Alex shook his head. "I have an aversion to certain parts of my anatomy trying to crawl up other parts of my anatomy to escape the cold." The band members were settling in and enjoying the food and show. Alex glanced around, eyes still seeking that presence, and then locking onto the figure up the hill. He knew it wasn't Helena, she was down here with them. Or had been...
Miss Shaylen: As Jakes arm slid behind her, she sank into it, relaxed and talking with Meghan easily. "Well, it's perfect," she nodded, tucking a few platinum and gold strands behind an ear. She'd worn her hair down, in soft waves again that spilled down to the center of her spine -- she'd given up fighting the humidity a few weeks ago and found herself happier for it. Laughing at what Alex said, she nodded, "Quite understandable" noticing he seemed to me looking for someone, but who remained to be seen. Maybe his best man was supposed to make a speech or something -- it was a wedding, after all. -d-
Nicolette Benoit: Oh no... it wasn't Helena. Not at all. It was some one much more important. Someone who was not at all happy with what she was witnessing. This was something that only fueled her fire for revenge. Nicole was on the move again. He had spotted her, even if he couldn't see her, nor know who she was exactly. It was time to play a few mind games. Spot me if you can. [d]
Meghan Vipond: "Thank you. And to be honest, its not at all, that uncomfortable." she replied to Shay. She noticed then how Shay was looking to Alex and her gaze turned to Alex. Head canted and dark thin brows arched. A hand came to touch his arm. "Are you alright? Something wrong?" she asked with a bit of concern lacing her voice. [d]
Jake Collingwood: --Jake noticed Shay's gaze. There was something off about Alex at the moment. He only knew of a few that would want to do harm to Alex. Turning to Alex, he said quietly-- "You don't think?" --If anything, the vampire seeking Alex out was here. Unfortunately, the next question in his head is "which one is it?" -- (d)
Alex Vipond: She slipped into the crowed of onlookers who wre likely wondering just who the fuck rated having the place to themselves after hours. He looked back at Meghan and smiled and then to Jake. "I don't know. Someone is up there." A lot of someone's but he didn't know who. From this distance he couldn't tell. Charlie was the only one among them, other than Franc and his crew and the entertainment, who didn't know Alex's nature. Maybe Shay, depending on if she'd been read in or not. He gave Meghan a kiss, and squeezed her hand. "Could be nothing."
Miss Shaylen: Meanwhile, Shay was confused, having no clue what any of them were talking about, though in the back of her mind, she remembered what Jake had told her and she bit her lip. He'd only told her what was in Seattle, not who they were, and still...though the words had come from him and she trusted him with all her heart, it was still hard to fathom. -d-
Meghan Vipond: Both men had this awful look on their faces that worried her. When Jake spoke next, she picked up on what they were assuming. Eyes cut to Jake and then back to Alex as her lips grew thin. Her own eyes began to search for... whom ever it was they were looking for. She knew it had to be either Alea or Alex's sister, Nicolette. None was awae that both ladies had a third party. Who had been the informent. Alex and Meghan had met him, unknowingly so, at the tiki bar that one night. [d]
Jake Collingwood: --Turning back to Shay, his hand just patted on the blonde's top of her hand, saying to her-- "Sure it's nothing." --Jake had been wearing his necklace to block their mind reading or whatever it was that made his thoughts tough for vampires to pick up on. He just made sure to keep Shay close and wait for anything that might go down. He wasn't nervous, just more aware of his surroundings now-- (d)
Charles J Riley: Charlie came over with a plateful of all kinds of oddities that looked tasty even if they were hard to pronounce. "Jesus, you people look like you're at a wake, rather than a wedding. What'd he do? Leave the seat up already?"
Alex Vipond: Alex was about to say something when Charlie chimed in with that and he cracked the fuck up. Still, his eyes were going back to the hilltop, looking for that gowned figure in the impossible hat.
Miss Shaylen: When something was hard to imagine, it was almost impossible to prepare for it, so Shaylen just nodded, unsure what to say to what she was hearing, especially since she didn't know what Alex was. It was Charlie that lightened the mood though, coming over to them, munching away and making her laugh in the process. Eying his plate, she pursed her lips, thinking it looked good. "I think I'm going to get some food, baby," she said, squeezing his hand reassuringly, though she didn't know if she should be the being reassured. "Want me to get you a plate?" She rose from her seat, smoothing down the back of her dress, pausing to look at him, the pretty blonde waiting for his response. -d-
Nicolette Benoit: Nicole was quick of course, having moved from one spot to the next. She was still long enough to let him see her again, before she was moving again. This time, she was able to move in a blur, to the restricted areas that were not at all populated by on lookers because it was sectioned off. She was able to use other things, rather than people to act as a shield of sorts. Was she taunting the man on his wedding day? Absolutely. It was her... gift for the happy couple. [d]
Jake Collingwood: --He didn’t want to say "no, stop" or anything, to really alarm her on what may be a infamous character from Alex's past. He refused to get tensed up, and when Charlie came by to separate the temporarily paralyzed foursome, it was at that time that Shay wanted to go grab some food. He smirked and nodded to her, saying-- "Sure. Grab me a plate.. See ya in a few" --Jake would make sure not to let his eyes off of her-- (d)
Meghan Vipond: Meghan looked to Charlie and chuckled. Leave it to him to be the one to make an intense moment, a joke. "No... just thought someone was here, unexpectedly." she replied. Which was true. But she hoped Charlie would think it was Asher, whom up unti this very moment, Meghan had hoped he would show. Sadly, he had not and it was a big disappointment for her. She however, just kept on smiling and tried not to let it ruin her mood. "Food does sound good." she pressed a hand first to Charlie's arm and then Alex. I'll be right back, I'm hungry..." She moved to join Shay. [d]
Charles J Riley: "Yeah well, boy ain't ever been too bright." He shrugged. Charlie frankly thought Meghan was better off without. He smiled to Meghan as she slipped off.
Alex Vipond: He knew it wasn't Alea. He knew her signature all too well, even after all these centuries. There was only one other, then, that it could be. Well, two, but he seriously doubted Lydia would go so far to fuck with him when she could have done so at any time in Seattle, prior to their departure. He looked back at Jake, just as he caught the movement up on the hill. Who ever it was, wasn't bothering to disguise what they were, even if the woman was now away from the 'norms'. "So, what do you have there, Charlie?" And he had to agree on the Asher thing.
Miss Shaylen: Shaylen was at the table, looking at the food from a distance as she picked up two plates. She was just about to start down the line, getting them both some food when a glimpse of white caught her eye. Immediately, she knew it was Meghan and smiled, looking over her shoulder at her. "Hungry, too?" She handed her an empty plate and gestured for her to walk ahead, in front of her -- it was her day, after all. -d-
Meghan Vipond: "I am." she replied with a smile. The plate was accepted but then Meghan gave a shake of her head. "Oh no, you go ahead. There is more than enough for me to still choose from..." she replied with a chuckle. [d]
Jake Collingwood: --Knowing what Nicole really was, he knew he was at a severe disadvantage if they went looking for her. He'd stick close to everyone, making sure Shay and Meghan were talking. He listened to Charlie and Alex's conversation and keep his calm for now, knowing what could break out, but hopefully not-- (d)
Charles J Riley: "Damned if I know, the server told me but I couldn't pronounce it, if my life depended on it." He looked up from the plate and looked at Alex, then around, before looking back at him. "That light in the loafers fella did a good job with the set up."
Miss Shaylen: With a smile and shrug, she continued on ahead of her, but not too far away, picking and choosing what she wanted as well as what she had a feeling Jake would like. They hadn't been together long enough for her to know many of his likes or dislikes, but she did her best and even looked back at him with a little smile when she was certain she'd chosen correctly on something. "I'll say," she agreed, laughing lightheartedly. "You have one hell of a spread here." Shay didn't think her plate was big enough for all she wanted. -d-
Nicolette Benoit: She moved again, this time closer but continued to remain within the comfort of the shadows. If Alex thought he could feel her.... sense her before, he really could now as she began to projecta bit of her power at him. Drawing just a little of his from him. Just enough to antagonize him. Then... she was on the move again. [d]
Meghan Vipond: Meghan was grinning as she watched Shay move on down the line, picking this or that for either herself or for Jake. It was Meghan's turn. And yes, she was doing the same, though, while Alex would be able to taste it, he really wouldn't be eating it. She chose things that she knew she liked, things she was going to try, and the same for Alex. Unaware at the moment, of what toying there was, that was going on. [d]
Alex Vipond: "Excuse me." He looked at Jake. "If I'm not back in ten minutes, get everyone back to the cars and out." He looked at Charlie, eyes on his, their hue brightning as his eyes widened. "You didn't see this." And then he was gone, in a blur of motion, heading toward Nicolette, even as he pushed back at her.
Jake Collingwood: --Shay and Charlie probably watched Alex take off in a flash. Jake knew he had those kinda powers, and turned to Charlie, making a joke-- "Fuckin' steroids, everybody's using them now." --That's how Jake would pass off Alex's quick exit. His gaze turned to Shay, motioning for her and Meghan to grab the food and head back over when they could-- (d)
Charles J Riley: Charlie looked at Alex, eyes on his and nodded, then when Alex was gone, he looked back to his plate, then to Jake. "These chicken things have steroids?"
Nicolette Benoit: Just when she thought she was in the clear and was about to make her exit, Alex was firing back. It caused her to feel as if she were being knocked back against a wall with a small bit of force. Eyes narrowed and she was concentrating and focusing on him now. Giving it all she had to push back and all at once. He had managed to piss her off now and push had come to shove. The moment she thought she might have managed to cripple him, she attempted to make her get away, moving in a blur away from the Wedding area. Away from her brother. She couldn't afford to get caught. Not yet. Alea would be upset with her. [d]
Miss Shaylen: "Geez, he must be hungrier than he thought," she said more to herself, but loud enough for Meghan to hear as she saw Jake gesturing them over. Once again, the poor girl was clueless and her brow lifted in silent question as she returned to the table and ultimately to him. "Hold your horses there, cowboy," she playfully suggested. "I don't wait tables for a living and walking in heels with all this food is a challenge." She set his plate in front of him while sinking down into her seat. "If you see anything on mine that you want and isn't on yours, feel free to dig in." After she spoke, she pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, not understanding why he was really calling her back. One of these days, he would have to explain. And soon. -d-
Alex Vipond: It was like clash of the titans, or that whole Voldemort, Potter wand thing where the powers tossed at each other meet and clash somewhere between them. The energy it took to keep up that level of force would quickly tire them and Alex moved toward her from above, seeking to pluck her right up off the ground. Jake Collingwood: --Jake heard Charlie's comment about the chicken, and laughed for a moment. Forever being the smart ass that he was, Jake fired right back-- "Nah, he thought it'd make him look better for the ceremony- so he took them before." --He'd see Shay make her way back and fire off a cute quick comment. He felt her soft kiss and the warm plate awaiting him. He heard what she had to say and nodded to her, just saying-- "Sounds good darlin'." --He wondered what Alex was dealing with at the moment-- (d)
Meghan Vipond: Meghan had just finished getting what food she thought would be good and turned just in time to see Alex move off. She didn't like just how quickly he had either. It meant trouble was stirring. Usually. She looked from where Alex had disappeared and to Jake, who was now waving her and Shay to get back over there to join him and Charlie. She nodded, knowing why. But she remained calm about it all. She nudged Charlie to sit next to her, and then took her seat. [d]
Charles J Riley: Charlie just looked at Jake like he'd had a little too much to drink, completely oblivious to the fact that Alex was standing before them just moments before.
Nicolette Benoit: Nicole had continued to give back what she got and then some. But as it were, it was something that would ultimately tire them both out before having to result to other methods of defense. She had been on the run, when she was plucked up and carried off. She struggled to get herself free. Had managed to loosen his hold, and hopefully enough to gain her freedom before she was able to fly off and put distance between them. [d]
Alex Vipond: It was close enough, though, during the struggle, to know just who it was he'd caught. "Nicolette!" His voice rang out in that frequency, too low for human hearing. He started to go after her, but looked back the other way, friends, family, that would need protecting if Alea were close about. Charles J Riley: Charlie smiled at Meghan and Shay as they returned and he finally settled, taking up a glass of some fruity drink with a little umbrella that the wait staff was passing around. Dogs for five miles would be going nuts after Alex's little call to his sister.
Jake Collingwood: --As he saw Alex come back, he figured the situation had been taken care of for now- but knew there was going to be some problems once everyone got back to Seattle. As the two continued to eat, Jake's large hand slid to the blonde's thigh, stroking it softly and giving it a firm squeeze as the back of his hand slowly trailed along Shay's inner thigh-- (d) Nicolette Benoit: Her hat fell away, long blonde locks were worked free during the struggle and the moment she gained her freedom, she was off. When he called out to her like he had, she suddenly stopped turned and stared. Part of her wanted to go to him. But then... she remembered. Remembered what he had done. He had killed her daughter. Had caused her husband to lose his mind to grief and run off, leaving her to morn her loss, alone. Face hardened, jaws clenched and just like that, she was gone. [d] Alex Vipond: "I'm sorry.... If I could take it back...." Tears streaked down his face as she paused, and then when she started off again, he called out again. "NICOLETTE!" And then she was gone. He turned and headed back, dropping to the ground near the shore, just up from the part and out of reach of the lantern and tiki light. He walked the rest of the way in, one hand reaching up to swipe at his face.
Miss Shaylen: Thank God for tables! Shaylen had just taken a bite of her food when she felt Jake's hand on her leg and she cast him a little sideways glance, smiling as her she fought back the color from her cheeks. It was an epic fail! No one could see any of what was going on, but it was suddenly hot. He had her setting the silverware down and reaching for her drink instead, doing her best to look 'natural' though she did scoot just a little bit closer, just 'cause. -d-
Meghan Vipond: "I have no clue as to what this stuff is, but God its good." she remarked as she was eating and glancing up briefly to the others. She then reached for her glass of wine and washed it all down. She was, unaware of her husband's disposition. That was until he came into sight, off in the distance. She could tell by the way he was walking, something was wrong. She finished her last bite, grabbed up a cloth napkin to wipe her mouth and then let it drop to table. Hands then gathered up portions of her gown as she stood and moved to step back and then around her chair. "Excuse me..." she said as she began to moved off towards Alex. She met him about half way. "Alex? Alex.... is... everything okay?" she asked. She closed the distance between then and then thats when she noted the tear stained cheeks. Her hands came to cup his face. "Alex.. baby... what's wrong?" she looked up to him with sympathetic hazels. [d]
Jake Collingwood: --Jake and Shay would leave the under the table groping alone for a bit, allowing them time to finish up their meals and long enough for Alex to make his arrival back. He just wondered which woman from Alex's past came to see him off. Once they had wrapped off and Meghan went off to console Alex in his time of need, Jake's hand went to work again- slowly slipping deep back towards her inner thigh. Giving it a soft tickle, as he leaned in and whispered to Shay- "Wanna get outta here? We'll see everyone tomorrow." --With that, and Shay's predicted agreement on getting out of here, he turned to Charlie, saying-- "Good seeing you again Charlie, tell the lovebirds know we'll see them tomorrow." -- (d)
Charles J Riley: Charlie watched her go, and lifted a brow. It was a wedding; didn't people know they were supposed to be happy? He looked then to Jake and nodded. "Good to see you and you two have a good night." He smiled, still oblivious to the goings on.
Alex Vipond: His arms wrapped around her and he held her tight, whispering against her neck. "Nicolette." He took a calming breath and let it out slowly, "She's .... more than pissed. She hates me. I could feel it." Meghan Vipond: Everyone was happy. Had been happy. Until now! Crazy kin folks! Meghan's brows furrowed and she gave a little shake of her head. Her arms wrapped around him. "Your sister? She was here?" Meghan tensed up. Quicky looking about now with a worried expression. She looked back to Alex. "Hate you? Why? Why would she hate you? I thought you two were close..." [d]
Miss Shaylen: The man had impeccable timing. Every time she took a bite, he would touch her, and she'd swallow hard, searching his eyes with those baby blues, knowing that look even before he leaned in to whisper against her ear. When she heard what he had to say, she nodded, picking up her napkin from her lap and touching it to her lips before setting it down and starting to rise. She immediately righted the hem of her dress, since it'd climbed a few inches courtesy of Mr. Collingwood. "It was nice seeing you again, Charlie. Please tell Meghan and Alex thank you for us." She felt bad leaving them before they returned, but a glance to the beach suggested they needed some time alone. -d-
Charles J Riley: "I will do just that." He smiled to them both, having risen as Shay did. He was, after all, a southern gentleman. Even if he had spent the last thirty years in Rhode Island.
Alex Vipond: "Well I think my trying to kill her kind of destroyed that." He took another swipe at his face, "We need to get back. We can't wait, we're unprotected here. She's had centuries and Alea to fuel her anger. Who knows what she will do."
Meghan Vipond: "But it wasn't something you could help...." she mumbled. "It was out of your control.... Since she's been turned, surely she understands that. Right?" Meghan asked. When he suggested they get back, she nodded and moved with him. [d] Alex Vipond: "She likely would understand if she had all the facts, but do you really see Alea giving her the details of her own culpability in it? I don't."
Meghan Vipond: "Then there's got to be a way to get her all the facts. Without Alea interfering." she replied. Meghan sighed and though they were moving back to join those for the celebration, she had them pause in their trek and she hugged him. Just stood there for a long moment, hugged him and held him. She couldn't imagine the torment he was going through. Blaming himself for something he had no control over. And now, his sister was here to throw it in his face. [d]
Alex Vipond: Pausing as they walked back, he hugged her in return. "I'm sorry. I so didn't want all this to touch us this day." He pressed his forehead to hers. "Oh and I kind of compelled Charlie to forget seeing me when I went to investigate...."
Meghan Vipond: "Its okay. You're still mine and I'm still yours. We've had this wonderful day and its only to going to get better tonight. A hand lifted to let the back of her fingers stroke over his jaw and cheek. "Its still our day. Our night." She smiled up at him. Then brows arched when he spoke about compelling Charlie. She couldn't help the snicker that escaped. "As long as you didn't make him think he was a super hero or anything... that's fine." [d]
Alex Vipond:[/b He chuckled and shook his head. "No, no superhero. I just didn't know what else to do, I didn't have time to distract him and since we haven't told him yet.... I thought it better to swiftly compel him to forget seeing me take off the way I did."
Meghan Vipond: Meghan nodded and chuckled. Her hands found his and fingers laced with his own. She was tugging him along... all giddy like. Like a newly married couple was suppose to be. "Come on. Charlie and the others are probably wondering what's taking so long..." she flashed him a smile. [d]
Alex Vipond: "I'll tell them I got lippy with you and you popped me one, and that's why I look like I do...." He smirked. Tugged along, he chuckled, then dragged a hand through his hair as they approached the party that was winding down.
Meghan Vipond: "You always get lippy with me. Just.... not the way most people think." she replied and gave a waggle of her brows before they were moving back to rejoin Charlie and the others. Though... she noticed Jake and Shay were missing. Gee, I wonder where they got off to... came the amused thought. [d] Alex Vipond: Probably breaking in the elevator proper. Mental note: Take the stairs up.
