Not so happy reunion - Little Leech
Terri Kurai: Terri was sitting on a chair inside the tattoo parlor - utter silence. The club was bursting at the seems as usual on a Friday night with live music, but she turned off the speakers in the parlor. The doors weren't locked, but if anyone came in or peeked in, she didn't pay them any mind which gave the impression that it was closed. She wore wide legged pants with the usual chains and zipper accents, a long sleeve dark red fish net top underneath a plain black t-shirt. Her usual short black hair with red streaks pinned back a bit with bobby pins.
Akori Kurai: He didn't watch the people. He didn't care what they were doing, saying, drinking...none of it. In the end, in his mind, they were cattle feeding and fucking in a room that could easily become the abbatoir he carried just underneath his skin. But there was purpose in all things and as he crossed the floor to the flight of stairs that lead up to the parlor, he considered little else apart from the girl he knew was inside. The intent? It was not the most pleasant. The darkness that spread with each pulse of the lights on the dance floor pooled around his legs, spreading up and over his black clothes in a silky but sickeningly spread. By the time he reached the door, the darkness had settled in his eyes, dark swirling orbs of black that stared unblinkingly ahead. A quick push and the door was opened and closed behind him and a slender tendril of dark clicked the lock shut.
Terri Kurai: She had let her guard down, that was for sure... and it wasn't until she heard the door open that icy blues opened - staring up at the ceiling. "We're-" And the lock interrupted her, making her head lift up and suddenly she scrambled to her feet. There was hesitation... she wasn't sure at first but something was familiar about the man. Perhaps it was the shadows playing tricks with her mind? Wouldn't be the first time she lost control and likely not the last... in fact, she almost expected to see Emilio or Geri break in to intervene. Though something else told her this wasn't a mind trick. Forcing herself to look him in the eye, Terri made sure to keep her distance. "Can... I help you...?" She asked slowly. Yeah, fearsome right? Or just smart enough not to start trouble?
Akori Kurai: "Where is she?" Akori stepped forward a single pace, his blackened eyes focusing on her with a wide glare. As he moved forward, the shadows pulled across the windows overlooking the packed club, darkening them to a nearly black level. He stopped, staring at her through the black, his lips a thin line. "She came to you. From nowhere. She came to you and she died. Where. Is. She." Akori knew the girl ahead of him. He knew her well enough, at least. But there was something missing, something around the edges that blurred and left her in a fog in his mind. But he knew that she had something to do with Mia and that-- that was something he needed to handle.
Terri Kurai: Every step forward he took, she took at least two or more back until she couldn't go any further. Desperately eyes looked toward the locked doors, then the windows overlooking the club and back to him. With how vague he was being, Terri didn't know who he was asking about. Came to her... died... there was a moment of silence as a brief flashback of Mia's ravaged torso overtook her vision. Blinking, her eyes narrowed, and expression darkened. "You mean Mia?" That was the only female, she realized, that would have come to her and died from it. "Like you said, she's dead... that's where she is." Despite her attempt to look unshaken, her voice cracked a bit, revealing the resentment she felt. In all rights, Mia shouldn't be dead... she was older and more experienced than Terri... she had a part in making her. Yet somehow... the younger one got the upper hand... or had Mia let her? No... she wouldn't believe that.
Akori Kurai: "You stink of her blood. Years and it still lingers. Years and it still hovers about you, like some haze of smoke." Tendrils snaked up from the floor and turned the chair he approached to face him and he sat, leaning back and crossing his legs. "I made you what you are. I changed your life to be more than what it was. And you took her. From this world. From me. From the Purge." He leaned forward, his eyes narrowing as he stared. "And how do you think I should repay you, little one?"
Terri Kurai: "Some would say I reek of yours too." She replied, not daring to leave where she stood, back against the wall as though it might swallow her hole and she could escape. As he went on about her taking Mia - if she could cry she sure as hell would be by this point. "I took her?" She said incredulously, looking away from him a moment then back to him again. "What about what you both did to me? What about that?" She straightened up then, expression darkening once more though not for show this time. "You both left me... after promising... and you didn't do it just once, but twice... I was foolish enough to believe the second time around..." She dared a few steps in his direction - though still not nearing him. "You made me into a monster is what you did. So why not clean up your fucking mistake Akori and we can call it even." That last part spoken in reference to his question of repayment.
Akori Kurai: The smile was smooth and sick and as it appeared, tendrils of black leaked from between his lips. "You'd like that, hm? The self-destructive nature you always carried, the old leftover from your collared days. You want to know what we did for you? We left you to make you strong, little leech. To make you stand on your own. And we left to protect you. The Purge. The Purge came and passed over you and you never even knew." He drew in a deep breath and the darkness of the room inhaled with him. Akori held it, staring at her with something that grew as seething in his expression. And when he finally let it out, the windows that the shadows covered cracked from the pressure, but he held it in check to keep them from exploding. "And what do you do? You hide. You moan. And when she came to you, you destroyed her. And you have no idea why."
Terri Kurai: Leech? Hiding and moaning? And what was this Purge he was even talking about? More things unanswered and, in truth, she almost couldn't believe that it was Akori that sat there so menacingly. "That is not my fault - you didn't tell me anything... and I was not self-destructive... I loved being with you and Mia... I didn't become so... so..." And she just waved at herself. "...like this until after being changed." Her eyes looked up to the windows as the shadows shifted, a small seed of fear being implanted in the back of her mind when hearing the windows crack. "I didn't know what I was doing!" She said defensively, turning back to Akori. "She... came... all apologetic... and I don't even understand how it happened! One minute she was leaving me... again... and the next there was so much blood..." The thought of it made her feel nauseous. "I just wanted what we had before... that was all... I don't know anything about this... Purge... had I of then I'd of understood..."
Akori Kurai: In a flash of movement, Akori was on his feet and inches from her. As he moved, the dark flexed completely and the floor of the parlor shook, the windows exploded, and the shadows instantly dissappated. Glass rained outward and across the dancefloor to the surprise of the startled and terrified club-goers. The black vanished from his eyes and faded with the rest. Akori looked down at Terri, dark blue boring into her as he drew another breath. "I am not here to destroy you, Terri. I am here to make sure that you understand what you are. The Purge came and passed you over because your....mother....and I made it so. I took it for you and her and you will learn from me, little leech, why I should have let it have you the way it took me again." Akori stepped away and walked over to the shattered windows, looking down at the confused patrons below. "You reopened it. I'm not sure if that's initiative or stagnation. We will soon find out."
Terri Kurai: Terri gave a cry of surprise as the windows burst with the floor shaking. She would have taken off running had he not of cut her off in a sense by suddenly being on her. She did, however, stumble backward at the sudden surprise but managed to keep her balance. Despite his... well, if you could call it assurance... she was not convinced. He made it all seem like everything was her fault. Though that he spoke her name lessened her anger a bit... though there was annoyance at being called a little leech. "Akori... I..." She started, but he'd already stepped away and started to look out at the crowd. "Emilio suggested I reopen it..." To get her out of the house really. Actually... what he would end up disappointed in is what he'd find out how she had been living back at the house... it was sad really.
Akori Kurai: "Emilio. Emilio..." He sighed, then turned and looked to her. "Explanations and excuses were not what I expected, though I'm not sure where it was supposed to end. Part of me, Terri..." He tilted his head slightly as he looked at her. "...part of me wanted to take back what was given. But for her sake...for yours...I'll be merciful." He reached out to touch her cheek and, in that moment, there was a softening of his expression. It lasted but a second and then, just a fast, it hardened again. His hand dropped quickly and he turned again, walking towards the locked door. "I am here to give you a chance to stand again, Terri. Prove that you're worthy." The door swung open as he approached and he made to leave the parlor.
Terri Kurai: She blinked... disappointment again? What did he expect of her exactly? When he spoke about wanting to take it back, Terri almost asked what he meant by that... but suddenly seemed to know. That nauseous feeling washing over her again and an arm crossing over her stomach as though that would help in keeping herself from gagging, looking down at the floor. It was the feeling of his hand on her cheek which caused her to look up at him again - catching the softness there before it fell away. "Prove..." She repeated in a low voice - though not going after him or stopping him as the door opened and he continued out, Instead, she fell into a near by chair and propped her elbows on her legs while her head buried into her two hands.

An Accident Before Club Eros' operating hours...
The club was closed and this was usually around the time that the cleaning crews made their rounds so that Eros looked fresh by opening time. Terri was laying lazily on the first floor bar top listening to a little group who wanted their ten to fifteen minutes of fame in the club that night. She wore a pair of wide legged black pants with chains and zippers, a pair of sneakers for a change, and crimson halter top underneath a lacey crop top. What caught her attention, however, was when the band started in on a cover by Bleeding Rose - her band... and one of her songs on top of it.
Emilio was also there, dressed in his black slacks with white ruffled shirt underneath crushed red velvet jacket. He was stoic as ever but even that made his head turn - though mostly to watch his protege more closely. Ever since her last run in with Akori, least to him, Terri had seemed on the edge - almost as though desperate. She hadn't told him or Geri the conversation between them and while he had an inkling that it was because she didn't trust him or Geri anymore, Emilio knew they needed to prove to her that their loyalties lied with her - in teaching her what she needed.
Terri shifted from laying down to sitting up, crossing one leg over the other while palms were still on the bartop, fingers idly tapping out the familiar rhythm on the wood. Instead of an impressed expression, however, she wore one that was more annoyed than anything else. When the song ended, Terri pushed herself off the bar slowly and headed toward the stage. Though rather than take this as a sign to stop while they were ahead, the singer had them roll on into another cover, bearing a shit-eating grin that took Terri's annoyance straight into pissed. Not to mention the song they were playing was actually one of Alex's, so when they began to botch it like they had her song previously, that was the straw to break the camels back.
"Cut it off."
Her words, though spoken calmly, could be hear over their racket, the first to stop being the drummer shortly followed by the others in procession - there were only five of them. And what retarded name did they have for themselves? Thorny Rose. Terri didn't know why she didn't turn this group away upon hearing the name, but she certainly would be now...
"I'm not going to sugar coat it boys... you suck." She said bluntly, her irritation clear in her voice too. "Your attempt to cover the band I was in before... my song no less... was pathetic and quite honestly, a total insult. Please don't botch the song by a good friend of mine. Pack your shit and get out. Practice usually helps... and you're gonna need it."
And had they of listened then... packed up and left like she told them... then all would of ended without incident, Terri would have put the claws away and moved on. Unfortunately, the human race was not that smart at times... living such short lives they had talked themselves into this YOLO concept. And in the past ten years, telling someone they 'sucked' didn't phase them anymore... no, no, there was this new practice... where everyone was a 'winner.' There were no 'losers' anymore and if you believed otherwise, you were a bully.
So, rather than give up, they wanted their 'dream' to come true - probably even thinking of getting a lay on top of it since these were guys after all - and so they broke into yet another cover, this time being a song that Terri actually happened to like. And they had an accordion? Lord someone needed to stop this atrocity and fast.
Terri wasted no time in hoisting herself up and onto the stage - stairs? Fuck stairs. The shadows of the club, which were many, seemed to grow and stretch, being pulled to her. Not that the little band members would notice - it was too subtle for them... but Emilio and Geri most certainly would - and feel it. Though they wouldn't stop her either. This, to them, seemed like something she needed to do...
"ENOUGH!" She bellowed, her voice echoing off the walls of the empty club and bringing an almost deafening silence. "Get the fuck off stage." She growled, grabbing the drummer off his seat and shoving him into the guitarist - who caught him, but stumbled back, almost falling off the stage. A tendril of shadow slithered forth and took hold of the mic stand, dragging in across the stage until in front of Terri and her drums. Another joined it and adjusted the microphone height.
"Watch and learn boys..." She spoke into the mic, because it was clear that these kids needed to see a real professional at work using the gear their mommy and daddy picked up for them to play with. These Yamaha drums were going to waste at the hands of their drummer...
The shadows that had been acclimated to her presence finally descended upon the stage in a show of massive tentacles. The band watched, stricken in fear, as these shadows lifted their instruments into the air and be damned if they didn't start playing them! First came the accordion, belting out the notes with every key pressed and each time the shadows folded it together. The guitar followed in behind it before silence as the bass was strummed along as Terri spoke into the mic.
Come with me now Come with me now
Then all the instruments - accordion, drums, guitar, and bass joined in.
Whoa, come with me now I'm gonna take you down Whoa, come with me now I'm gonna show you how
Whoa, come with me now I'm gonna take you down Whoa, come with me now I'm gonna show you how
The boys who had been playing them were speechless, standing at the front of the stage. While most might find this rare performance by Terri rewarding - they didn't. And neither did Emilio or Geri because they knew what would inevitably be happening. Whether Terri did or not, however, was the problem... but these boys would not be leaving Eros...
Afraid to lose control And caught up in this world I've wasted time, I've wasted breath I think I've thought myself to death
I was born without this fear Now only this seems clear I need to move, I need to fight I need to lose myself tonight.
If Terri did know, she didn't seem to notice. Those icy blues were long since gone as her eyes were entirely blackened - an effect that often occurred when summoning the shadows - intentionally or not.
Whoa, come with me now I'm gonna take you down Whoa, come with me now I'm gonna show you how
Emilio and Geri began their approach, Geri - being Brujah - was already feeling the need for feeding and there was no stopping as her fangs were bared - though she would be patient. The shadows were more solid appearing now, playing each instrument as needed at Terri's will. It honestly would look like some amazing special effects to those who didn't have a clue as to what was going on. Unfortunately, the boys - while they didn't know, perse, they were getting an idea - well, they were at least coming to realize that she wasn't normal.
I think with my heart and I move with my head I open my mouth and it's something I've read I stood at this door before, I'm told But a part of me knows that I'm growing too old
Confused what I thought with something I felt Confuse what I feel with something that's real I tried to sell my soul last night Funny, he wouldn't even take a bite
Unfortunately, Terri was also having the same uncontrollable urge... as such was the curse of Brujahs, their temper usually inevitably led to uncontrollable feeding frenzy. Which was why Terri also tried to be calm and also another reason for her to avoid humans if at all possible.
Far away I heard him say (Come with me now) Don't delay I heard him say (Come with me now)
Far away I heard him say (Come with me now) Don't delay I heard him say (Come with me now)
Whoa, come with me now I'm gonna take you down Whoa, come with me now I'm gonna show you how
The shadows took over even the drums, enveloping Terri in a thick black casing of sorts as she stood up - finally feeling herself give in to those primal urges as blackened eyes stared down at the five. Tendrils suddenly shot out from her sides and would slowly wrap around then like snakes. They were already frightened into a stupor that when they realized what was happening, their struggles were futile.
Afraid to lose control And caught up in this world I've wasted time, I've wasted breath I think I've thought myself to death
I was born without this fear Now only this seems clear I need to move, I need to fight I need to lose myself tonight...
The rest of the lyrics were lost to the music as Terri lunged at the first victim within eyesight - this being the singer. Without hesitation, in an act that she had not done in so many years, fangs penetrated - roughly - into the lead singer's neck. Just last week she had had that feeling of teeth on skin and it had certainly re-awakened her senses that had long since been snuffed. It wasn't that the action had been done to her - but that she had been the biter... granted this was a human so it was different, but there was no stopping when that liquid crimson hit her tongue. It was warm, it was sweet... and because his heart had been racing already from fear, it flowed easily with little to no effort on her part. And Terri drank, hungrily, thirstily. She hadn't even noticed Emilio and Geri take out two others, she was savoring the long lost taste of human blood from the source. Blood donation bags, the bottled stuff Alex produced... they were all well and good, but there was just no comparison to getting it from the real thing. Like how humans like to pluck their own fresh vegetables and fruit...
The remaining two watched in horror as the trio of vampires drained their friends - screaming in terror that wouldn't be heard outside of the thick walls of Eros. Even the clean up crew didn't seem to take notice... as if it was completely natural. Terri followed the limp body of the singer to the floor before feeling the life escape from him. Slowly she stood, blood soaked lips hardly smiling as she looked around as if coming out of a bad dream. All at once the shadows receded... but this also freed the other two band members. However, instead of chasing after them as they bolted for the doors, Terri fell back against the stage, a shaking hand lifting to touch her lips then looking at the blood on her fingers.
Emilio raced after the duo that escaped with Geri hot on his heels, before they could even open the doors, they were pounced on. Geri fed hungrily while Emilio broke the other's neck with a simple gesture and let the body hit the floor. While they spoke of burning the bodies for cover up - or some other such plot - Terri had blocked them out. She headed for the bathrooms to wash up - not that there was much of a mess to begin with - just her lips and fingers - but to her, she felt like a wreck.
Leaning over the sink, she splashed water over her face not caring if it made her makeup run and look like shit or not. She scrubbed at her hands like some serial killer in the making that was suddenly having cold feet after one act of murder. Which... essentially... was exactly what she had done... so it wasn't too far off really. Her head lifted, the water still running in the sink, and she looked at the reflection of the restroom stalls. Another vampire curse... the Lasombra didn't have a reflection. Growling, she randomly threw a punch at the mirror, making the glass bevel inward and spider out, shattering. Some pieces fell, others didn't. Terri hated anything that showed reflections... mirrors, windows, etc. The windows at the Kurai House were draped with blackout curtains and there wasn't a mirror to be seen.
Geri gave a knock to the bathroom door before walking inside, dark eyes looking at the broken glass then to Terri.
"Emilio says he'll take you home-"
"Shut the club down..."
Geri blinked at the request, head tilting to the side. "We're not open Terri..."
"For the day and night. We're not going to open again til tomorrow..." Terri replied darkly, staring at the broken glass intently.
"Terri... it was an accident..."
"An accident?!" Terri yelled, rounding to face Geri with a glare. "That is no excuse... shut it down. I want it deep cleaned - you know what I mean - and get rid of the instruments. I don't care if you sell them or what..." There was, of course, the matter of why. Turning around to lean back against the counter, she shoved her hands through her hair. "Get on that social media account... tell everyone we closed due to a terrible accident... that ought to cover up the death of those guys... make it actually look like a fucking accident..."
"That would involve calling in the cops and they'll bring others Terri..." Geri pointed out in a soft voice, trying to show herself as being helpful rather than a hindrance.
"FINE! Do what the fuck you guys want to do with them then! But we are NOT opening tonight!" Terri boomed, walking past Geri after pushing off the counter and pushing the door open to the point of almost knocking it off it's hinges. Terri stopped and looked at the door, anger flashing in those pale blues before she turned to look back at Geri. "And get this door and that mirror fixed..."

You wanted me to text you so here I am. Plane leaves NYC about 6pm and puts us in Seattle about 11pm or midnight. Raiun is coming with me. If you can't pick us up, it's no problem - Emilio is on standby with my Mustang just in case. I'm only staying until April 1st... and no, it's not an April Fool's Day joke. Much love and hope to see you soon!

Alex smiled when he got the text, and despite the worry over the call from Naja, his reply was upbeat.
I'll be there. I have news for you, when you guys touch down.
Boy, oh boy did he have news. Both good and bad. None of which he'd risk over text message.
