Alex Vipond: If there was one thing Alex had plenty of, that was vintage clothing. It was to be expected really and Alex took excellent care of his things. In other words, he had a closet that would rival the Doctor's on the TARDIS. And climate controlled, to keep the garments in top shape. When he finally stepped out, he had a Fedora in hand which he spun in hand to settle on his head, giving the brim an adjustment as he slid his fingers along its edge. He then took up that Fred Astaire lean against the foot board, and gave Adrienne a grin. "Better shake a leg, Doll or we'll miss this clam bake." Wrinkled Black: Adrienne was in the bathroom, finishing up her make-up with a vibrant lipstick that matched the red of her dress perfectly. She laughed at his suggestion, turning her head just slightly to make sure no hair was out of place. Her long hair had been tamed into soft waves, pinned back from her face with pearl bobby pins to complete the look. "Hold your horses, hot stuff..." Finally perfect, or as close to it as she could, she stepped out of the bathroom but paused in the doorway as she looked him over, whistling low. "You sure shine up like a new penny." Alex Vipond: "What can I say? I'm dizzy with a dame and I want to make a good impression." Pushing from his lean, he moved toward her and took her hand, tucking it into the crook of his arm. "And I must say, you're one sweet dish yourself." He smiled to her and then looked around. "Got a shawl? Just in case of a chill?" Wrinkled Black: "Oh, you certainly do, don't worry." Grinning, she leaned up to bump his cheek with hers. She'd kiss it, but that'd leave a pair of red lips on his cheek. "Mhmm, I've got my cardigan." She let go of his arm for just a moment so she could pick up the black sweater from the bed, along with her little kitty purse, and draped it over her arm before taking his once more. "Shall we?" Alex Vipond: He smiled at the bump of her cheek to his although he wouldn't have minded the red lip prints at all. "We shall." Leading her out through the house and to the car, he'd actually hired one for the night, a 1931 Lincoln Phaeton, complete with driver. Walking her out the front door, the car was there at the curb, waiting for them. The driver held the door open for them and Alex handed her in. Wrinkled Black: A brow went up when they headed outside rather than to the garage, and when she saw the car her jaw dropped. "You sure know how to go all out, don't you?" She laughed, giving his hand a squeeze before she climbed into the car, smiling to the driver as she did so. Once inside she was looking around, fingers trailing over the back of the front seat. She didn't want to say out loud that the car brought back memories, not wanting to weird out the driver, but it was certainly there in her smile. "This is so cool..." Alex Vipond: Alex slid in beside her, taking his hat off as he settled and placing it over his knee. "I thought you'd like it." He dropped a kiss to her cheek as the driver closed their door, smiling all the while and taking pleasure in their enthusiasm. Little did he know... Once the driver was behind the wheel, he rolled down Shenandoah to Parkside and then took Broadmoor Drive through the golf course. Eventually he ended up out on Lake Washington Boulevard and Alex just sat back and enjoyed the ride. "I used to hire cars a lot, before I drove. I didn't have a license. Never bothered to get one; never bothered to learn." Wrinkled Black: Adrienne's eyes rolled playfully. "God, you're such a diva." She was totally kidding, chuckling as soon as the words were out of her mouth. "I didn't for a long time, either. Not legally, anyway. Tom always said it wasn't a woman's place." This time the eye roll was genuine. The guy was a tool, there was no two ways about it. Alex Vipond: "The dude really sounds like a total dick." Good thing the guy was dead or Alex would enjoy pounding his face into the wall. The floor. The asphalt.... "I decided to learn when I saw her for the first time; My first Ferrari. And I knew, just knew I had to have her. So I went lot, told the salesman I wanted her, told him I couldn't drive and he taught me, right then and there. I drove her home, no license," he smiled. Wrinkled Black: "You have no idea.." She smirked, but then an eyebrow went up when he spoke of 'her'. As soon as he mentioned the Ferrari, though, she chuckled, shaking her head. Of course. "How long after that did it take you to get a license, Mr. Reckless?" Alex Vipond: "Well, let's see, I didn't really see much need... Since I pretty well had it down." he nodded. "It wasn't until I got my next car that anyone bothered to even check to see if I had a license." Sad but true. And he'd wrecked the Ferrari, not through any fault of his own mind you, or at least that was how he remembered it. Some might see it a little differently... Wrinkled Black: "That must've been so exciting, learning how to drive." Having been around for so many centuries, the only reliable transportation being a horse and buggy or a boat. Adrienne at least grew up around the same time automobiles did, so she hadn't missed out for very long. Alex Vipond: "Oh it was. It was like flying... only closer to the ground." he chuckled. They hit a few snags in traffic, one just before the Montlake cut, and again on University way but by that time they were nearly there and the conversation had the lack of a need to pay attention to the road kept the inconvenience from being noticed. Once they were there, the driver pulled up at the curb and moved to open their door. Alex slid out first, his hand offered to Adrienne. Wrinkled Black: Taking Alex's hand, Adrienne slid out of the car carefully, smoothing a hand over the backside of her dress to make sure she wasn't flashing anyone. "Thank you," she smiled warmly to the driver. Alex's thanks was in the form of a: kiss to his lips; hers were dry now, so no lipstick transferring. Alex Vipond: The driver would be there, waiting for them, reading the sports page or watching Netflix on his iPad. Alex had hired the car for the night and after riding in it... he wanted it. Where to put it though... Prime example as to why he'd hired the car in the first place was the extreme lack of parking. There was street parking and parking around back that was shared with the nearby Brooklyn Grinder... a place they'd have to try one day to see what the food was like, but overall Alex was glad he didn't have to deal with that. Crossing the walk, Alex pulled the door open and held it for her, then followed her in, his hand slipping to the small of her back. They had VIP stage seating, so they'd be right up close and personal. Wrinkled Black: They were going to have to buy out their neighbor so they could build a bigger garage, weren't they? Until then, hired drivers or valet parking was the way to go when it came to a night out on the town. Adrienne's grin widened as they stepped inside and seemingly back in time, as plenty of other patrons had dressed up for the occasion. Once they were seated, Adrienne took Alex's hand in hers and leaned in closer to him. "I wonder how the Peanut's going to like tonight's music. I wish you could've felt how active he was last night." There was no denying who this kid's daddy was. Alex Vipond: Alex's eyes lit up. "He was? You felt him?" He broke out into a grin and yes, his hand went to her belly to see if he could feel anything. Had to, at this point. Alex looked around to make sure no one thought he was being weird and then he looked back down at her belly as if willing the baby to move. "Okay, come on, Grayson, show daddy what you got." Wrinkled Black: He was just too precious for words. Her grin widened as she moved her hand over his; at this point there was no mistaking her bump, so he hardly looked weird. "It's really just flutterings. Almost feels more like gas.." That made her grin a little sheepish. It would still be another few weeks, likely, until the baby was big enough for Alex to feel him, too, but she wasn't going to burst his bubble. "He was all over the place. I think you've got a fan, Daddy." Alex Vipond: Alex grinned and then kissed her, his arm slipping around her and the other hand lacing with her own. "Oh you should have heard the conversation we had last night after you went back to the bus...." He chuckled. "Ki's going to end up married to his hand." Wrinkled Black: The kiss was returned with a chuckle and she leaned in to him as best as the chairs they were in would allow. A brow went up though as she laughed. "Oh? Why do you say that?" Alex Vipond: "He's got no clue as to how to treat a girl and has to argue every little thing. The taking her hand as she's getting out of the car, the offering of an arm, or placing his hand to the small of her back, or opening doors for her..." Alex shook his head. "He just doesn't get it and what's more, he doesn't want to." Wrinkled Black: Adrienne looked up and watched Alex with an amused smile as she listened, then she was shaking her head, chuckling. "Babe...he's a teenager. And as much as I hate to say it, an immature one at that. You can't expect him to be a gentleman overnight." Alex Vipond: "No, but I can expect him to at least listen. He wasn't even willing to do that." Alex shrugged. "Sometimes they have to learn the hard way. I just hope he doesn't trample Sarah in the process." Wrinkled Black: "You're old Uncle Alex, what do you possibly know about girls?" Snickering, she gave his hand a squeeze. "He'll probably end up being an idiot, then he'll be ready to learn from the master." Because Alex does know what he's doing, she'll give him that. Alex Vipond: "That was another thing he asked us, when we got onto the topic of the fact that he would have many relationships over time, before he was ready to actually court one. He asked us how many of us had failed relationships. I think he meant it as a dig, but you don't gain experience without failing from time to time." Wrinkled Black: "I sometimes wonder if there's such a thing as failed relationships. Sure, they don't always work out for the long run like you might hope, but there's usually at least some amount of good that comes out of it that's a win rather than a fail." Alex Vipond: "Someone once said, there's no such thing as a mistake. That as long as you learn from the experience, it can't possibly be a mistake." Alex hushed as the show started, and the waiter came around with their champagne. He leaned to Adrienne and whispered. "Do you want anything else?" Wrinkled Black: "Exactly." Nodding, she leaned to give him a kiss before she was grinning up at the waiter a little sheepishly. "A glass of water, please?" Did champagne count as wine? She may just take a few sips of it. Alex Vipond: Alex smiled at the waiter and nodded. "Thank you." With the waiter gone, Alex returned his attention to the performance, and Adrienne at his side. To be continued…

Wrinkled Black: Adrienne's grin widened as the performance started. What amused her the most was that most of the people in attendance discovered this type of music within the last few years. Whereas Adrienne and Alex heard these tracks when they were brand new. Hence why her foot was tapping and she was quietly singing along with Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen. "I love this one.." Murmured to Alex with a grin.
Alex Vipond: Alex smiled, his hat pulled off and settled to the table off to the side. He dragged his hand through his hair, and then turned his head to regard her for a long moment, a smile curving his lips before he looked back at the stage. "It does bring back memories." When the song changed, Alex rose from his seat and he didn't really care if there was enough room on the floor or not, he held his hand out for Adrienne's, smiling at her. "May I?"
Wrinkled Black: Looking up at him, her smile warmed and she set her kitty purse down beside his hat, then took his hand and stood. "You certainly may." With the music they were playing, the venue would be stupid not to clear a bit of space for: some dancing!
Alex Vipond: Sweeping her out onto the floor, he held her close, moving to the music, one arm around her, her hand in his other, holding it to his chest as he looked down at her. If he sang the occasional snatch of song, could anyone blame him?
Wrinkled Black: It was a good thing he had his arm around her and was holding her close, because he was about to make her swoon. Her eyes met his as she smiled up at him. A few people were watching them, and who could blame them? Here was a couple who was very much in love with each other. Had they not been in public, Adrienne may have proved it to him right then and there.
Alex Vipond: As the song ended, Alex lifted her hand and pressed a kiss to her fingers, and yes, had they not been in public, clothes would have been flying. He started to lead her back to the table, but as the music changed, he pulled her right back onto the floor, a grin and a chuckle given. "Take good, care of yourself, you belong to me..."
Wrinkled Black: She laughed as he pulled her back to the floor, her hand curling up over his shoulder as they danced close. "Belong to you, huh?" She winked playfully. Didn't really hear her contradicting it, right? And yeah, the lyrics were making her lips twitch; reminded her of some of the vintage advertising that would never fly in this day and age.
Alex Vipond: Alex gave her a little spin, mindful of the fact that she may still have issues with dizziness so he didn't go overboard, but he was singing along, "Just molly and me, and the baby is three, We're so happy in my blue heaven..." As the song wound down and into the next, he slowed it down, a gentle sway as he moved about the floor, her hand once more tucked against his chest as he held her close.
Wrinkled Black: Dizziness wasn't quite as much of an issue as the heels were, so she appreciated the low key swirl. Once back in his arms she moved in close, lightly settling her temple against his shoulder. Heaven indeed! Seriously, it was a wonder she wasn't purring, she was so happy.
Alex Vipond: Alex was perfectly content where he was, holding Adrienne in his arms as they moved to the music, with one song rolling into the next. Didn't even phase him with those pauses between songs when the band took a moment to talk to the crowd and catch a drink. Other couples slowly started to join them on the floor, and Alex gave them a smile, but by and large he was just moving to the music with Adrienne, his cheek resting against her hair as she rested her head against his shoulder. As the song changed, Alex sang along. "Some day, when I'm awfully low, When the world is cold, I will feel a glow just thinking of you, And the way you look tonight."
Wrinkled Black: She couldn't help a quiet chuckle when they continued dancing even when the music had stop. When Alex started singing, though, her smile almost split her face, a bit of color rising to her cheeks. He could sing and dance, a double threat! Stealing a glance up at him, she didn't want to interrupt, so she only mouthed the words, I love you.
Alex Vipond: Smiling down at her, he couldn't resist and his first response was, "I know." Yep, totally went Han Solo on her. Geek. A low chuckle was given as he added, "I love you too." And then he gave a turn, still moving to the music, listening to the sax, he lifted a brow. "Have I told you I play sax? High school band..." he nodded. "Haven't really touched it since then."
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne laughed and leaned up to give him a kiss. A chaste one, being in the middle of the dance floor, but Alex should know it meant so much more. Grinning, she shook her head. "You have not, but it doesn't surprise me. Is there an instrument you don't play?" Because that would be a surprise!
Alex Vipond: Alex contemplated that, "Um... Oboe.... accordion..." he squinted as he thought. "I'm sure there are some others in there I haven't touched." He chuckled and when the band finally took a break, he took a step back, bowed over her hand and gave it a kiss before tucking it back into the crook of his arm and leading her back to their table. "Hungry? I hear they have great food." And they'd been dancing for the better part of an hour so a refuel would not be remiss.
Wrinkled Black: She gasped jokingly, her eyes wide. "Oh my God, who'd have thought?" Though, really, if he actually could play accordion she'd be cracking up even more. She bit her bottom lip as he kissed her hand, that color returning. She adored Ki, but the kid was an idiot for not taking his uncle's advice. Worked. Like. A charm. A deep breath was taken and she nodded, grinning. "Famished. And this one needs to settle down." Once they were seated, she took Alex's hand in hers and held it to her belly once more. She really didn't think he'd be able to feel anything, but it was worth a try.
Alex Vipond: Alex laid his hand over her belly and yes, he was looking intently at it, as if he could make himself feel the baby by sheer force of will. He went stock still, not a muscle moved, not a bat of an eye, just that intent gaze on their hands on her belly as he waited, breathless, as if that simple act would make him miss it.
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne held just as still, but after a moment of nothing she very gently moved his hand a little further down. And then there was the slightest of twitches. Not even a kick, just a little flutter of movement. Her eyes quickly lifted to his, the silent question there, wondering if he felt it.
Alex Vipond: If the widening of his eyes was any indication that would be a definite yes. His lips parted and he leaned in, and waited for more, his eyes going to Adrienne's. "That was...." It had to be, right?
Wrinkled Black: Laughing, she nodded. "He likes the music. He's so your son." She grinned, shifting his hand a little more, trying to follow the fluttering she was feeling, but it didn't seem like there'd be any more outside nudges. "He's still got a lot of room to move around in there."
Alex Vipond: "But I felt him!" Okay so he was maybe a little loud as he made that statement and as he looked up, he had a few people looking at him. He pointed to Adrienne's belly. "My son! He likes Jazz." Maybe that was why he calmed down, the music had stopped.
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne just laughed, shaking her head. He was so adorable. Regardless of the fact people were looking at them, she leaned in to give him a kiss.
Alex Vipond: Grinning, Alex cupped her face in his hands and returned the kiss, as the people around them actually began to applaud.
Wrinkled Black: That only had her laughing more, reaching to brush her fingers along his jaw. She looked a little sheepish as she settled back normally in her chair and lightly cleared her throat. "Just wait until the week I'm due, you'll probably be singing a different tune, all grossed out."
Alex Vipond: "Nope." he smiled and shook his head. "I'm pretty sure I'll be just as enthused. Probably to the point of being annoying." He chuckled. "Rubbing your belly, asking if it's time yet..." Yeah he could so see himself doing that.
Wrinkled Black: With a smirk, she reached for her champagne glass. Just a small sip or two! "Please don't make me kill you." She laughed, though, setting the glass down again. "Trust me; you'll know when it's time."
Alex Vipond: "Okay, so, we got all these plans to go places, before you can't travel. The Bahamas, first week of September: Where do you want to go after that?" He pulled one of the menus' over, to give it a look. It was mostly booze, not surprisingly but they did have two appetizer plates and not being able to decide between the Cowardly Apricot, or the Marg & Rita, Alex ordered both.
Wrinkled Black: Maybe if they tip really well, they might be able to convince the bartender to make a couple of 'mocktails' for Adrienne. There was no way she was going to drink the whole glass of champagne. "LA for sure, we ought to get the nursery at least started." It didn't have to be 100% ready by the time the Peanut arrived, after all. "And Somerset, there's a few things I'd like to bring home. And try to convince Nan to come to Seattle in the winter."
Alex Vipond: "Okay so, when we get back from the Bahamas, we can go straight to LA if you like. Spend some time there, and then head back up since we'll have the formal at the Gator at the end of the month. Then first week in October we can head for Virginia."
Wrinkled Black: Since they didn't have their food yet, Adrienne leaned forward with her elbows propped on the edge of the table and settled her chin in her hands as she watched him, smiling. "Sounds perfect. Is there anywhere else you want to go?"
Alex Vipond: "We could always go back to Paris. Spend a week there." he smiled. No, he didn't have hang ups about France and the French the way Callie did. Then again, Alex didn't have reason to. "How's that sound?" He smiled, his glass of champagne picked up and killed off, before he set it aside.
Wrinkled Black: "Done, that'll be our 'babymoon'." Since the other spots they'll be running around like crazy people, Paris they can just have to themselves and enjoy. "But only so long as you bring your Angry Birds." Grin.
Alex Vipond: Alex chuckled and nodded. "Never leave home without them." He leaned and kissed her and when their order was brought out, he leaned back a smile given the waiter. Looking at the appetizers, he chuckled. "Okay, let's see what this stuff is like."
Wrinkled Black: It was almost scary how true that was. He looked so ridiculous in those slippers, it was adorable. The kiss was returned before she took one more small sip of champagne, then she was reaching to set the glass down closer to Alex so he could finish it off. When the waiter returned Adrienne smiled to him and thanked him, draping her napkin across her lap. No getting much on the polka dots! "We're definitely going to have to come back here once I can drink again."
Alex Vipond: "Definitely they have a menu of booze infused food and quote Frank on the menu." Amongst others, but Frank always cracked him up. "I was looking to see if they had Dean on there but it might not be all that kosher if they added, You're not drunk if you can lay on the floor without holding on."
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne laughed as she tucked in to the food, shaking her head. "Man, I kinda miss getting drunk. The things I do for the boys I love." She rolled her eyes for that, chuckling. Of course lumping Alex in as her 'boys'.
Alex Vipond: Alex chuckled. "Sorry, not sorry." He grinned. "Sorry you can't drink, not sorry for the why." He tried the food as well, taking a bite from each dish, savoring the flavor of the first before trying the second. "That's pretty damned good."
Wrinkled Black: "Thanks, babe." She tried to sound sarcastic, but her lips were twitching too much. "Mmhm." That was said with a nod around a bite of food. They might just have to get seconds. When the band picked up again, Adrienne's smile warmed. "Man, those were simpler times." She may not have wanted to relive her time in the 30's, but it certainly was a good era.
Alex Vipond: "Yes, they were." Of course it was easy to forget the crap that went along with it. The Great Depression. Prohibition. "It was simpler, but hard too. Though prohibition made heroes out of outlaws." He chuckled.
Wrinkled Black: "Oh, no doubt. If I had to go back and not have modern technology? I'd probably shoot myself." Amazing how after all these years they found themselves following along like sheep just like everyone else. "If you could go back in time, where and when would you go?" Not necessarily to redo anything, but to experience. She couldn't outright say that, but she hoped he understood what she meant.
Alex Vipond: "I'd be lost without my phone." He'd gone almost seven centuries without one, and now, he got testy if he laid it down and couldn't find it. He paused as he contemplated the question. Then nodded. "1864." he looked at her. "San Francisco. I me... would like to meet Samuel Clemens." Again. "What about you?"
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne nodded, chuckling for his almost slip. "Virginia, around the 1880's. I would've love to have seen some of my relations growing up." She only ever knew her brothers as adults, it would've been fun to have grown up with them as kids.
Alex Vipond: "I lost track of mine. I had no desire really to follow the line. Edward's my only tie to the family after...." Alex picked up Adrienne's champagne glass and drained it, then motioned to the waiter. "I'd like a cup of coffee, please? Thanks," he looked at Adrienne. "Baby? Coffee?"
Wrinkled Black: She nodded slowly, about to ask something but was interrupted by the waiter and she smiled. "I'd love one, thank you." Once he was gone, she looked back to Alex curiously. "Where's Edward now, do you know?"
Alex Vipond: "New York, last I heard. I do want you to meet him. I think you'll like him. He's just so ... English." Alex chuckled and then glanced around before continuing, his voice lower as he leaned toward her. "He still has that regal bearing, you know? Like you expect him to arrive on a destrier in armor and carrying a broadsword."
Wrinkled Black: "I'd love to meet him as well. Preferably before he's invited to the wedding." Whenever that may be, which was why her lips were twitching. "Well...yeah." He'd only been a Prince of Wales, of course the man was English! "When's the last time you spoke to him?" Hopefully he didn't mind her being curious. She never really did get that memo about cats and curiosity.
Alex Vipond: "Sometime in .... 2013... Maybe summer of." He wasn't sure. He'd been touring that year and things were kind of nuts. "But yeah, he's fucking awesome." Alex grinned. Yes, he had a bit of hero worship for his ... younger, cousin. Even if he did kick the shit out of France, Or maybe because he had. Crecy. Just saying.
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne bit her lip for a moment, reaching for her water to take a sip. "Maybe...we could drive up to New York from Virginia? We could see him, and I can show you where I grew up." They could even pass through Philadelphia, where her children had been born, but she wasn't sure if she was willing to suggest that just now.
Alex Vipond: "We may as well, while we’re on the East coast. I can show you the dingy loft I stayed in while I lived there." He smiled, liking the idea. It was like two birds thing. Not only did they get to play tourist, but by sharing parts of their past, they got to better know one another. He grinned at her. "Our summer is going to be fun filled." Summer; fall, they were going to have to settle in come winter, but that was fine as long as they could convince Nan to come with them.
Wrinkled Black: "What's left of it!" Adrienne chuckled, shaking her head. "It's going by so fast." Smiling, she reached to take his hand in hers for a light squeeze. "Then we'll be going in for some parenting classes, and the Peanut's going to be here before we know it." That was so crazy!
Alex Vipond: Squeezing her hand, he chuckled. "Parents. How fu..." he looked around and then back to her, voice dropping again. "How fucking awesome is that?" No, he wasn't excited. What makes you think that?
Wrinkled Black: She laughed, nodding. "It is pretty fucking awesome. But also life changing, and not always in good ways." Not like she expected him to back out now, or ever, but it was only fair to give him some warning.
Alex Vipond: "I mean, yeah, there's gonna be a loss of sleep and dirty diapers and ... probably no small amount of panic attacks everything the kid does something weird, or sneezes, or coughs... shit, we need a pediatrician." He kind of blinked and stared off into space for a moment. "Does Hunt do more than baby womb stuff?"
Wrinkled Black: "What we need is one of those inflatable bubbles to keep him in." No, no they didn't. Adrienne couldn't help snickering, nodding. "She does family practice as well, so we're good there."
Alex Vipond: Alex looked at her like he was genuinely considering the plastic hamster ball thing, and then he smirked, a nod given when she said that Hunt also did family practice. "Good."
Wrinkled Black: Yeah, she knew that look and pointed at him. "Alex, I'm kidding."
Alex Vipond: Leaning over, he dropped a kiss to her lips. "I know."

Wile E Ki Yo Tea: Ki was sitting in one of the booths, had a drink in front of him but no food yet, though there were menus laid out. He was dressed in a captain america t-shirt, with the shield printed on the back, cargo shorts, and his red chucks. His backpack and skateboard were down near his feet, along with a gray hoodie. -d-
Sarah E TayIor: Took a little longer than she planned, but nevertheless she was coming up on her bike into the parking lot of the diner. She wore a bright yellow and red romper with cut out shoulders and a pair of sandals. She climbed down and chained her bike up before taking the helmet off and heading inside. A quick survey of the diner given before spotting Ki and heading over with a grin. "Hey!"
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He smiled and waved. " Hey! Care to join? "He motioned across from him. " Hows things, everything allright with your dad? Left the water war a bit early so.. " He popped his shoulders up and down in a shrug. " He catch your bug?" He slid the menu over to her side. " OH! and have I got a strory for you. " He grinned and nodded. -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Dad's fine... I swear he's got an immune system of a tank. Found out we got a nosy neighbor though, she saw you dropping me off and told him about it." She gave a shake of her head. "It's no biggie now though." When he mentioned her leaving the party early, she sat down. "I know, I had a blast though. So what's the story?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " And.. does your dad have a problem with it?... cause I'm, I'm, I'm.. Ehh... I don't want to be shot.. or.. injured... in any way... " He had to get that out there, first, but then pointed to the menu. " Let's order first, then the story. " He grinned, and motioned the waitress over, already knowing what he wanted. " Triple cheeseburger, fries, and a chocolate and strawberry shake please. " -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "He's fine with it, Ki. Promise. See, back home, we had Millie who raised me since Mom left us when I was little. We moved out here and we left Millie so now he's realizing how much he's not at home 'cause of work..." She waved it off though. "Gonna make it easy on ya today, I'll have the same thing but with a Coke." She said to the waitress, giving her a grin - she was here a lot so they knew her pretty well. "Ok, now story." She said to Ki, leaning forward to cup her chin in both hands like some eager child waiting for... well, the story. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Okay, I drop you off at home and I go back to the Gator, Uncle alex is doing his thing on stage and what not but soon as that was over... Then comes the grillin about the girl. " He smirked and shook his head. " And you know what was the first thing out of Alex's mouth? Best wrap that stuff before you use it.. I about turned fifty shades of red. " He was even turning a bit red saying it. " But that wasn't the best part. They.. yes they.. everyone that was left in the gator, decided I needed to know how to properly treat a woman... " He just looked at her... -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Wrap what stuf... oh..." And he was not the only one blushing then, but she shook her head. "You know it's because of those shows like 'Teen Mom' on MTV, right?" She said, arms folding on the table. "I wouldn't worry too much about it... just let it go in one ear and out the other unless it's something you really want to hear." She gave a shrug of her shoulders. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " Well I just wasn't sure about what they were telling me you know.. like I never let you walk near the street?... and I lead you, and help you to avoid obsticals. And I am supposed to lead you by placing my hand at the small of your back, and pushing you this way and that... I'm not really sure they understand.. friendship... " -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Um... sounds like some etiquette thing..." She said, frowning a bit. "I mean, I have my clumbsy moments, but I don't think I need leading around obstacles..." In fact, the thought of it was sort of funny... "I think they're assuming it's deeper than just being friends." She added - he said it, so she went with it. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " I think deeper comes with time right? Got to know the person before you know the person. " He grinned and leaned back when their order arrived. " So I'm not sure if you told me or not, but are you stil going to school?" -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Well, I'm not gonna ask you to 'wrap that stuff' anytime soon if that's what you mean." She said with a laugh. "Like I said, I wouldn't worry too much about it Ki. Don't get me wrong, you're cute, but we're on the same page about getting to know the person first." She'd end it on that note before answering his question about school. "Yeah, I will be in September sometime. Junior year since my birthday is so late. What about you?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " No, not going, but would like to get my GED at least. Thinking maybe I get my GED, and go to a community college, see what's that like, then maybe if I get the grades and the cash on to a university. " -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Getting a GED is easier isn't it?" She asked, having been contemplating going that route herself since she didn't much care for spending eight hours at school for however many days. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " Don't know.. but I have been out of school for well over a year and a bit, and things just are not going as planned with getting back in the swing of things with school. For one I need the time to work, and two, I been having a hard time fitting in a bit. " -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "How did you get out of being in school for so long without someone forcing you to go? These days you miss one day and they're calling home as if parents don't know when they're kids aren't in school." Yes, she knew some skipped classes - she had done that herself from time to time, but still. "And fitting in is overrated anyway..." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Well thats a bit of a history story. " He picked up is burger and had a bite, then sat it back chewed. " Well.. " Chew.. chew. swallow. " My mom passed away when I was thirteen. Then my step dad took care of me till I was sixteen then he passed away.. Didn't have any aunts or uncles or anything, so I left Vegas on my own in search for my biological father. " -d-
Sarah E TayIor: She did not even realize the food arrived after hearing his short explanation. Sarah glanced down a bit to see her plate, then back up at him while she slowly picked up a fry. "Wow... Ki, that's..." She wanted to say amazing because, well, it was! To come here from Vegas? Yet given the circumstances of his coming to Seattle... amazing just didn't seem right to say just then. "Did you ever find him?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "I thought I did. All I had to go on was a photo my mom had in her jewlery box. Eventually found the guy here, and he had a biological test done, welcomed me with open arms and what not, got the tests back and they showed I was his son and everything was awesome.. Then things happened, and well he got a letter from the company that did the DNA tests saying that they messed up somehow.. and I wasn't his son. And then it got worse from there for a bit. " He picked up a fry and sopped it though some ketchup, then tossed it in his mouth. -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Aw... that had to be hard." She said sympathetically, watching him for a moment before eating that fry she had first picked up. After a moment she spoke up. "At least you're not completely alone though right? I mean, you've got Alex and Adrienne, Callie... they say friends sometimes make better family than blood." She didn't ask more about the man he thought was his Father, when he said it got worse from the DNA lab's letter, she didn't feel comfortable prodding that much further unless he wanted to. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Wouldn't had had them if I wasn't with the guy I thought was my dad for a while. At least after the letter they didn't give up on me. " He nodded. " That and Mars is trying to at least smooth things over a bit. Mars is the guy who I thought was my real dad. Worst part about it is during the time we did have it was like.. major bonding, but then the letter and nothing anymore but the every now and then .. hey.. thing... he even left Seattle. But Alex and Adrienne which I call aunt and uncle but are not, they have been almost like parents to me a bit. " He blinked, realizing he used a lot of bits when talking. -d-
Sarah E TayIor: It was only twice, but she hadn't been paying attention anyway. "I'm sure you would've had them even if you just came out here without a purpose. I met Alex at the mall within a week of moving here. All you would of needed to do is talk to them." She didn't the parenting vibe from the two, but then she didn't need to either. "That's messed up though, what he did. That's like adopting a pet for keeps then throwing them to the streets because you changed your mind or something." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " Eh, it's what it was, water under the bridge and all. I forgave him for the most part. " Not really but it seemed like the what was right. " Anyway, and that's how come I am not in highshcool. " He grinned, and had another bite of his burger. " You and your dad lived any other place other than here and Hawaii?"-d-
Sarah E TayIor: "You're a better person than me, that's for sure." She said with a smile, putting her cheeseburger together. "Forgiving something like that... I mean, if I ever find my Mom after she ditched Dad when I was born... forgiveness would so be the last thing on my mind." Oh she had a strong hatred toward her Mother. She took a bite and chewed while giving a shake of her head to his question, then swallowed. "No, we were blessed that way... before Hawaii my Dad was stationed in Norfolk when he met my Mother, he was there for awhile then was transferred to Hawaii. He was married to my Mom by then so of course she went with him, and then I came along, she left, and we just got lucky to never have to move." She started to take another bite but paused. "Always knew it could happen though, and it did." Then she took another bite. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Well thats one thing, my biological father never knew I existed. " He sat for a moment and looked at his plate, then reached over to have a sip of his shake. " So you are kinda like me, coming from a place where it's warm to a place where it gets cold. " -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Pretty much, yeah." She replied, taking another bite of her cheeseburger and chewing thoughtfully. "Tell you what, you ask me a question - anything goes - and then I ask you one." Sort of like a game, but it was productive one if a bit outdated. "Go back and forth til one of us calls done." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He suddenly had a slight look of fear on his face, wanted to call done before they even started.. but he swallowed, then had another drink of the shake.. nodding. " Okay.. umm.. " thinking he wanted to hit hard so maybe she says done right out of the bat. " If your mom walked in now and said that she wanted you back, and that she always wanted you but your dad threatened her if she came back.. what would you do?" Good one! High five Ki! He just nodded... oh yeah.. -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "She wouldn't have a chance to say she wants me back because I'd sucker punch her in the face." Sarah said bluntly - if not a little darkly at that. "Then I'd hit her with the soda hose for even trying to lie about Dad threatening her." Meaning she'd spray the witch down is what she'd do. "See, I've seen pictures of them... the way Dad looked at her and how he still speaks of her - though rare - there is no way he did anything to hurt her." Now it was her turn... and while he started out with a heavy hitter, Sarah took a different approach. "When you get your GED, what classes will you sign up for in community college?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: His eyebrows slowly rose as she said what she would do.. okay do not get on Sarahs bad side... he blinked, and swallowed. Oh good ... nice question, his shoulders relaxed and he smiled. " Well I like astronomy, and learning about space, and what else is out there. Though I hate math... so.. not sure how that will mesh.. " He grinned. " Okay my turn again.. " He scrunched his face a bit, then said. " have you ever had a boyfriend?" -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "There's a difference between hating it and doing well at it. As long as you're good at it, then hating math shouldn't be too bad of an issue." Sarah said with a grin, taking a drink of her Coke and raising a brow a bit with his next question then set the glass down. "Once... and only once. Quarterback of the school's football team and no I was not a cheerleader..." The last part added on jokingly since she knew the stereotype. "Anyway, he was a jerk. He expected me to do everything that his buddies' girlfriends did with them and I wouldn't. It didn't even make two weeks." She finished, picking up a fry and studying him a moment. Then decided to match up with the personal questions. "Ever been kissed?" She asked, then added. "And pecks on the cheek don't count." She added with a small smile, popping the fry in her mouth. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "The... quarterback... ahhh. " Oh that puts you up there don't it Ki.. " pffh, yeah jerks, good call. " He nodded.. " I play baseball.. " he made sure to put that out there.. he really wasn't sure why.. but he wanted to.. He had a bite of his burger and listened to her question... shaking his head. " Nope, other than cheek kisses never been kissed. I am guessing seeing as you had a boyfriend you have been kissed so, not going to ask that.. and I am guessing the fact you didn't want to do what your boyfriends, friends, girlfriends were doing, I don't need to ask about that subject either.. so... hmm OH! " He nodded and pointed at her. " Have you ever crushed on a older guy, like older than twenty five?" -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Really? I've tossed a few balls around with friends, but never really played much. Maybe we can try that some time." She said, another fry devoured as he pondered over his next question. Couldn't help but laugh over thequestions he decided not to ask until coming to the crush. "Going to assume you mean non-celebrity crushes." She said with a chuckle while she pondered the question. "Well, there was this Earth Science teacher... had all us thirteen year olds fanning ourselves when he walked by." She admitted with an embarrassed chuckle. "He was actually caught in a little scandal though, sleeping with the school's vice principal after school hours. Ok, well... they weren't sleeping so wrong word, but you know what I mean."
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " Yeah, yeah, yeah, I get it, mhmm.. " Another fry had. " So what's my question?" -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Oh yeah... almost forgot." Sarah said with a laugh, stretching her legs out under the table and crossing one over the other. "Let’s see..." She went with a basic one just for the time being til she could think of something better. "What are your favorite colors?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Favorite colors?" He arched a brow.. " Umm.. Red and Blue? Never really thought about it much. ... " He shrugged, and grinned. " Okay, what is your favorite food.. OH and I still need to take you for mexican and jurassic world " He grinned. -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Primary colors... nice." She teased, taking another drink of her Coke. She hadn't the heart to tell him that her Dad took her out for both those things after the nosy neighbor incident - but she still wanted to go with him nevertheless. "Actually I think it would be me taking you to Jurassic World and then you taking me to Mexican." She replied with a smile. "And I can't say I have a favorite food, I like a lot of different things and certainly not afraid to try new food." Like she had at the Gator. "What was your most embarrassing moment?" She asked. "And, separately, when do you want to go to the movies and dinner anyway? I totally owe you after having to cancel last weekend." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "It will have to be on Saturday more than likely for the movie cause I got work.. umm.. " He glanced up. " Most embarrassing moment.. " He had to think about that one. " I usually embarrass myself around cute girls... ? ... trying to learn how to drive... ? " Hand going all wolf cause you saw a pretty girl... nope not going to say that. " Umm.. what do you see yourself doing in say ten years?" -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Oh no you don't..." Sarah said laughing. "Those are when you get embarrassed. I asked for the most embarrassing moment..." She jokingly stuck her tongue out at him. "I'll let you slide this time..." She took a drink of Coke while thinking over the question. "Well, hopefully be in college... though I can't say what I would be studying yet. I've got a few things in mind though, just need to narrow it down. So want to try for this Saturday for the movie and dinner?" She asked - that was not part of the game, so she would follow up with another. "What is your fondest memory?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "But those are embarrassing moments, I can't tell you which one is more so! " He grinned though. "Sure, got my soup kitchen at noon again , but you want to try for another evening showing? " He listened to her question as he finished off his burger. Once he had that down he was about to say something, then stopped... glancing down for a moment and the smile he had melting just slightly.. He wanted to say done then and there but this was actually doing a bit of good, kinda like writing in his journal but... getting feedback?.. He swallowed, as he went into his story. " Okay I'm going to tell you this, but I want a promise... I don't want to see a pitty look or a look that says I'm going to hug you now or anything like that.. this is history to me, and well.. I want to tell you my most fondest memories. so.. promise? " -d-
Sarah E TayIor: Sarah hesitated when seeing his smile falter... she hadn't meant to touch a sensitive spot - in fact, she had been trying to avoid that the whole time, but the question sorta slipped. Just when she was about to ask if he was done, he asked her for the promise. And Lord she prayed this could be a promise she could keep! "Promise." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He nodded and took in a breath. " I was an abused kid. My stepfather took out his stress on me , but mostly on my mom, she would step in and take whatever was going to be coming at me, she was my protector. And she was one of those women that just didn't know what to she would do if she ever left him.. I mean it wasn't a constant state of assault he had his moments of nice? But he had this hate in him that would not go away, and he didn't do any kind of holiday or anything, no birthdays really. and one of my fondest memories was my twelfth birthday. Mom had been diagnosed with cancer a year prior, and she knew she wasn't going to be with us much longer.. So, she laid out a plan, got Ted... that's my step dad, to go to a casino that night. And then gave me an honest to goodness birthday party. Cake balloons the works. And just the look in her eyes I can still remember.. it was just love you know... just pure. That was one of my fondest memories. The other one was Fathers day this year. I never had a true dad that seemed to want me or not want to beat the crap out of me for spilling his beer. And Mars was just that.. a great dad to me, and that day I felt like I didn't have to worry about anything, that life would be good again. It didn't work out that way, but that was one of the fondest memories I have. " -d-
Sarah E TayIor: Oh well now Sarah felt terrible... drudging up those kind of memories could not of been easy. However, she promised! And so she tried her damnest to not have any sign of pity or 'need to comfort' on her face. She didn't quitetrust herself either so reached forward for a couple of fries to toss into her mouth just to give herself something else to think of also. Though then another feeling came to mind that made her feel a little better and she offered a small smile. "It's good to have those memories to look back on when down. Thanks for sharing them though, I know it couldn't of been easy..." She said, not out of pity either, but actually humbled a bit that he was comfortable enough with her to mention them. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Yeah well it helps me to you know? sharing and.. speaking of, I need to think up a quesiton for you.. "He tapped his chin a moment then pointed at her. " Love or money?" -d-
Sarah E TayIor: Oh, well, he bounced back quicker than she expected. "Love." She said without skipping a beat. "Money is temporary and too easily thrown away." She thought a moment for a question to ask. "What do you consider your most treasured possession?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: Had to bounce back cause if he dwelled no one would be happy.. yeah at the moment a lot of it was show but he knew he had to do it. "My most treasured possession? I don't think I really have one?.. Ted got rid of all my moms stuff right after she died.. Umm... " He shrugged. " My sanity?" He grinned. " That's about anything that I have had more than a year or two now.. umm my copy of ready player one?.. " He shrugged. " Okay same question back at you. " Not sure if that was allowed in this game but.. DID IT! -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Hey, sanity is a legit possession." Sarah said with a chuckle, then the question was flipped back on her. Which, yes, was allowed so she thought for a moment while debating. "It's a toss up between my phone and my journal." She admitted. "Because my phone is my lifeline to friends back home, people I grew up with and my journal helps clear my mind." She then decided to pull a flip also. "Since you asked me, I'm asking you. Where do you see yourself in ten years or so?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Hey you have a journal? So do I.. though just started really with mine, after things got bad here.. but they do help don't they?" He grinned. " Ten years? College? I guess. I don't have any idea what I want to do.. if you asked me a year ago, I would have said pro baseball player, but.. not anymore. I am just don't have any direct answers do I? " He grinned at her.. " Okay. so...umm.. " He tapped his fingers on the table. " Long walks on the beach, or sitting in front of a warm fire watching the rain?" -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "Yeah, I used to have an online blog, but learned that no matter how private you make something online, people can still get to it. But it all got deleted anyway so I use a notebook now." Sarah replied - nodding in agreement to it helping. His question made her think... she did enjoy the beach... but sitting in front of a warm fire and watching the rain sounded just as good. "Oh this is a hard one..." She said with an uneasy chuckle, indecisive. "I'd have to say both. I love the beach so that's always a winner, but watching the rain like you described just sounds so... well, I like both." A nod given and his comment about baseball would be used for her next question. "What made you change your mind about being a baseball player?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He scrunched up his face.. he didn't want to lie to her.. but. went with something he hoped she wouldn’t try and add to. " Just wasn't a good direction for me. " There that was honest... said something without saying something. " Honestly, how much did you like, or dislike riding on my motorcycle, and add to that, if you liked it, would you ever like to learn to ride?" -d-
Sarah E TayIor: She wouldn't expand on it, his response sounded good enough to her at least. When asked about his motorcycle, she chuckled. "Admittedly, it scared me at first, but I liked it and had fun. If you wanted to teach me I wouldn't say no." Sarah said honestly, giving a smile as she lifted her Coke for a drink then set the glass down. "Do you know how to swim?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "No? " He had that ... look of defeat there... " Swim? Yes I do. though the ocean around here is just to cold. " -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "I said I wouldn't say no, Ki." She corrected with a chuckle.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Oh.. OH! " He finally got it, and grinned. " Oh okay.. " He bobbed his head up and down in a nod. " Cool.. cool.. " He nodded again. " Oh a question for you.. " He scrunched his mouth to the side as he thought then. " Okay going to go a bit sci fi here.. if you could go back in time and change something for someone you know.. not yourself, but for someone else.. what would you do and for who?" -d-
Sarah E TayIor: She grinned and popped another fry while he asked his next question. "Oh another hard one..." She said, chuckling softly while thinking. There were quite a few things she could think of... but he said not for herself. "Um... Ok... I have this friend who had a skiing accident and it left her paralyzed. If I could go back in time, instead of refusing the invitation to come along, I would accept so that I could of at least tried keeping her from having the accident. Oh! And same question to you."
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He smirked.. " I would.. go back and stop my pseudo father and his brother from getting into a fight. Which has had a sort of ripple with people they know. " he nodded. " Okay, you like fantasy right? Was there any point in time where you went.. yeah that could be real and I wouldn't have a problem with it.. Speaking of course of elves or vampires or something like that.. " -d-
Sarah E TayIor: Now it was her turn to feel slightly uncomfortable, though whether it was from a secret kept or embarrassment was hard to tell. "Ok, just promise you won't laugh." She said finally, eyeing him... it wasn't as deep as his memories that he shared with her, but it was still personal... and she'd been ridiculed by friends before when she had brought it up to them. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He held up his right hand. " I swear I wont laugh, and if I do, may food taste bad to me forever. " He nodded. -d-
Sarah E TayIor: She cracked a small smile at the food part. "Ok, it happened last year, I was out surfing with some friends while on Spring Break. There was this huge, killer wave that came rolling in and... I thought I could take it... but I was so wrong. I got wiped out and was at the mercy of the wave... by all rights I should've drowned... I couldn't get out of it, didn't know which way was up or down. And I could feel the need to breathe making me panic... and at the last minute I swear I saw a mermaid." She paused there to let it sink in before continuing. "And I'm not saying like Ariel the mermaid or anything, she didn't have fins or anything. And at first I thought it was just someone coming in to help me. But I could just tell, y'know? And then she breathed into my mouth, like CPR kind of, but she was filling my lungs with air, then I was pulled up. When I broke the water surface, I was in the same place as I had been when the wave came, but my surf board was broken and on the beach." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He just looked at her then.... " Maybe she was just someone with a large amount of lung capacity?" -d-
Sarah E TayIor: "No one had come after me though... all they saw was me getting hit by the wave and my surf board washed up shortly after that. I wasn't even under the water for as long as I thought I was." Sarah pointed out. "Plus, I never saw her when I surfaced either." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " Maybe it was a water spirit? I mean I thought mermaids had to have the tails.. Hmmm.. " -d--
Sarah E TayIor: "Well, water spirit I can go with... but in relation to your question... yes, except I can't promise I'd be entirely okay with it. I mean, the way vampires are portrayed in books and even in movies... well, I would not want to meet Dracula in a dark alley. So I'm sort of torn about it really..." She said, then raised a brow with a tilt of her head. "So why bring it up?" She asked - and yep, that would be her question. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Oh me either.. I mean I feel dizzy at the sight of blood, would so not make a good vampire. " He smiled at her question, and had his last fry, then after chewing. " Cause you said you liked Fantacy. " Then his question. " And on that continued line.. ever seen a ghost?" -d-
Alex Vipond: It wasn't unusual to see vintage cars at the 5 & Diner - street rods from the 50s and 60s were the norm, however the car rolling into the lot now was a good deal older than what they usually got. The car for its age was sleek, a 1931 Lincoln Model K Sport Phaeton, the first of her kind with the longer wheel base, and lower to the ground chassis, and the last with Henry Leland's beloved hand crafted V8 that put out a 120 bhp. The car swung around near the door and the driver stepped out, opening the rear door for his passengers. Alex stepped out first, settling his Fedora back onto his head with a fourish and giving the brim an adjustment as he slid his fingertips along its edge. He then offered his hand to Adrienne to help her up out of the car.
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne couldn't help laughing as Alex adjusted the Fedora. "You're not going to go all Chez on me and wear those regularly, are you?" In its current context, she didn't mind it. Taking his hand, she climbed out, her other hand smoothing over the back of her red and white polka dot dress to make sure it hadn't bunched up in the car. As fun as the jazz night had been, she was definitely craving a bit more grease and less alcohol.
Sarah E TayIor: "A ghost?" She repeated, brows furrowing a bit. "I haven't... no... at least I don't think I have? But there's plenty of evidence to suggest they're real enough so..." She shrugged her shoulders a bit then pondered on a question for him next. "Alright, back to sci fi... if you were able to go back in time, what time period would you like to visit and why?" (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He glanced out the window from there spot in the booth, and smiled, giving a wave to Alex and Adrienne, then looked back at Sarah.. " Umm.. hmm. 1490s or so, and to find out what Da Vinci knew. Oh a question.. If you could would you like to be abducted by Aliens?" -d-
Alex Vipond: "I could stand to wear a Fedora more often." He shrugged. Or a hat at all. When it got cold he was more apt to pull a tuque down to his ears than anything else. Tucking Adrienne's hand into the crook of his arm, he led her off to the door, pausing to pull it open for her. His free hand slid to the small of her back and he followed her inward, and past to the hostess station. Ki was spotted and he was given a wave, and a surreptitious thumbs up, but he was pausing at that juke box and feeding it coins. It was kind of like having Deja vu, really, the whole night, actually. A night of 30's jazz, followed up by a 50's diner... Alex smiled and looked at Adrienne as the music started to play. Stepping past the kids, they followed the hostess to their table.
Wrinkled Black: Her smile brightened when she saw Ki and Sarah and she waved at them before leaning over to inspect the juke box selections. "Oo, yeah, Rubber Ball...” A kiss was pressed to Alex's cheek and they continued on to their table, with a wink to the teenagers as they passed. "You know you're going to set up a soak for my feet when we get home, right?" Because she had a sense they weren't done dancing for the night.
Sarah E TayIor: Sarah blinked when Ki waved out the window and turned to look and saw Alex and Adrienne. Remembering what Ki said earlier, she snickered softly, but would wave to them also before facing Ki again. "Abducted by aliens? Um... maybe? If they were like 'Come for a ride Earthling...' but if it was just out of nowhere, then no... not really." She replied with a chuckle. She heard her phone go off in her pocket and pulled it out for a look, before pocketing it. "I'm going to have to get going soon, Dad just got home from the base." She said apologetically, but she had one more question! "If you're free tomorrow, or after work, want to meet at the park? Maybe help me figured out why I can't stay on a skateboard like I can a surf board..." She was motioning to the waitress for a to go box since she'd been distracted by the question game she still had fries to finish up. (done)
Alex Vipond: "Definitely." When they reached their table, Alex laid his hat on the table, then stripped out of his suit coat. He draped it over the back of the bench, and then he was unbuttoning his vest and rolling up his shirt sleeves. He looked at the waitress, "Two cheeseburgers, with fries, and two chocolate shakes, two waters, and can you make the burgers medium rare?" He looked at Adrienne to see if that's how she wanted hers, making sure, and then he was reaching for her hand to take her to the nearest wide spot in the floor.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He nodded. " Sure I can do that, not supposed to have rain till friday, so be good, though I don't mind boarding in the rain either, just makes it a bit harder. " He grinned. " I will walk you out to your bike. " He slid out of the booth to his feet, and stood up. -d-
Wrinkled Black: Folding her cardigan neatly on the seat beside her with the kitty purse on top, she looked up to watch Alex get comfortable. No, she wasn't drooling, honest! Grateful for the distraction of the waitress, she beamed up at her. "What he said." Then she laughed, taking his hand and sliding out of the booth to follow him out on the floor.
model millenial: And also Maisie was there. After parking her Gremlin she stood in the front, smoking a cigarette and watching those she recognized curiously from the window like it wasn't something a weirdo did. Obsidian mane was left to fall in soft waves down to shoulders left bare by a simple white and blue striped sun dress that hung about her knees. Puff, stare, exhale.
Sarah E TayIor: "Sure." She said, fries put in the box and closed, she stood up after Ki did - a glance casted to Alex and Adrienne, discreetly of course, to see them looking like they were about to dance. She then leaned to whisper softly to Ki before straightening and starting for the doors. (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He grinned and nodded. " That happens a lot with me.. " He walked Sarah to the doors, a wave to Maisie as they passed, then over to her bike to see her on her way. -d-
Alex Vipond: And Alex slid right into swinging her about the floor, Alex waved to the kids as they stepped out, and as Chubby Checker broke out with the twist, Alex did too. And yes, he threw himself into it.
Sarah E TayIor: Her bike wasn't far from the doors, she noticed the other woman and gave a wave before putting her helmet on and unchaining her bike. She put the to go box on the back of her bike with some stretch cords then hopped on. "So, would it be breaking the promise earlier if I hugged you now?" She asked, with a small smile. (done)
Wrinkled Black: Oh, man, she almost wished she could hear what was going out there. But she was a little busy twisting. For someone that looked as young as she did, Adrienne was pretty damn good at it. And was clearly enjoying herself, if her laughter was any indication.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " Earlier? Oh " He grinned. "Nope, thats fine.. nooot a problem, I am most very much huggable. " He nodded, then held out his arms like he was four. -d-
Alex Vipond: As the song ended, with Buddy taking over, with Everyday, Alex pulled Adrienne closer, and sang along.
model millenial: Waved right back to Ki and the woman she was starting to recognize but hadn't been properly introduced, or even improperly introduced to yet. She ashed her cigarette and flicked the butt and headed inside to find a stool to get comfy on and order and iced tea.
Sarah E TayIor: Sarah laughed and leaned over, balancing on one leg with the bike leaning on her, and gave him a hug. "See you tomorrow then." (done)
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He hugged her back and just gave a lazy smile shutting his eyes as he took in a deep breath. " Yep.. " He slowly let her go. " Bring your safty stuff you wear for your bike. Have a good night Sarah. " He stepped back and waved. d-
Sarah E TayIor: "With knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards too." She joked, a light squeeze given before leaning back - a wave given in return - then pushing off.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He waved till she was out of sight, then grinning made his way back in and to his booth, but this time his attention went to his aunt and uncle.. -d-
Alex Vipond: And then the music changed, and Alex stood still for a moment, as he sang the opening lines, "You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain, Too much love drives a man insane, You broke my will, oh what a thrill, Goodness gracious great balls of fire!" And then he was swinging her around the floor.
Wrinkled Black: Hell yeah Adrienne sang along with the 'Goodness gracious great balls of fire!' She was laughing as she twirled around the floor. As Jerry tickled those keys, Adrienne couldn't resist. "Goose, you big stud! Take me to bed or lose me forever!"
Alex Vipond: Alex cracked up, wrapping his arms around her, a kiss dropped to her lips and as Buddy Holly once more took over, Alex noticed the waitress heading for their table with their food. "First thing, after we eat." he chuckled and guided her back to the table, his thumb brushing along her back as his hand rested at the small of it.
model millenial: She watched the parents-to-be dance for a few minutes then scooped up her tea and wandered to the end of Ki's booth. "May I join you?" she asked with a smile. "I felt awkward sitting there by myself."
Wrinkled Black: And good timing, too, they were definitely working up an appetite. Catching sight of Maisie, too, she waved at her before sliding into the booth. "Whew.." Snatching up her kitty bag, she rummaged through it and pulled out a hair tie so she could draw her hair up into a ponytail. Nice and high, of course, to go with the look. The waves in her hair made it bounce just perfectly.
Alex Vipond: Alex looked at the kids, and gestured to the table. "You guys want to join us?" There was plenty of room, and Alex could slide his plate over next to Adrienne's easy enough and he was even pulling his jacket, and hat over to Adrienne's side of the table, draping the jacket on the back of the bench and then placing the hat on top of it.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Sure go ahead. " He smiled at Maisie. " How are things going maisie?" He glanced from her over at Alex and Adrienne... " Join you?... Oh no, not that crazy to join you... nooope. " He grinned. -d-
model millenial: A big grin and wave for Adrienne, and another for Alex. "Thanks," she said to Ki and plopped down in the booth, next to him rather than across. At least this way she could still see the others. "C'mon, Ki, the more the merrier," she urged with a nudge of her elbow to his arm. "Great show the other night, Alex."
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne smirked, turning to look over at Ki as she spoke to Alex. "He's too cool to be seen with the likes of us old folks, don't you know, babe?" Snickering.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Beware the old crazy people. " He just said as he grinned and waited on maisie as he waited for her to move. and when she stood up he grabbed his board and pack, then walked over to sit with Alex and Adrienne. -d-
Alex Vipond: Alex looked at Ki like he was hurt, and then he looked at Adrienne. "it was bound to happen sooner or later. We're too old to be seen with the cool kids."
model millenial: She snickered and followed Ki, once more scooting in beside him. "Don't worry guys, we're here now," assured Alex and Adrienne with a grin, giving Ki another nudge.
Wrinkled Black: Frowning, she slid her hand up Alex's back for a gentle rub. "It's okay, sweetheart..." Then her face lit up at the two across the table. "Oh hi guys!"
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Exactly. " He said putting his pack and board on the floor near his feet. " So are you two going to start a age related band called, need to get directions?" He grinned big. -d-
Alex Vipond: "No, we know where it's at, and have no issue finding it." Well Ki did walk into that one and Alex was hiding his smirk with a bite of the burger he'd topped with onions and lettuce. He left the tomatoes off, he didn't like the seed slime. It was just ... gross It was probably a good thing his mouth was full as the King started singing about being all shook up, otherwise he would be singing along.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He smirked.. " So whats everyone been up to.. ?" -d-
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne just laughed, dunking her straw into her milkshake and taking a sip. "We just came from this really cool vintage jazz show." Hence the get-ups. "How about you? How's Sarah?" Since they didn't really get to say hello to the girl before she left.
model millenial: "I wasn't hungry until I saw that," she said through thinning lips when the burgers appeared. She scooped up a menu and got to browsing. "I've been cooking a lot of eggs. I looked up eggs recipes on the internet, and there is literally infinity," threw in a nod. "No wonder you guys look all swanky," to Adrienne with a grin.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " Sarah is fine, I treated her to a late lunch.. " He pulled his phone out of his pocket and looked at it.. " Wow.. been sitting and talking with her for six hours... didn't feel like more than two.. " He put the phone back and looked over at Maisie.. " You know the egg song right?" -d-
model millenial: "Egg song?" she clearly hadn't.
Alex Vipond: When La Bamba came on, Alex looked over at the juke, a slow smile coming to his lips. He chuckled and shook his head at the memory, and then he plucked up a fry and popped it into his mouth, chewing slowly as he looked between the kids.
Wrinkled Black: "Their burgers are pretty great. No Gator's, but pretty good." She winked before she started attacking her burger, listening to the two about eggs. Ears definitely perking for the idea of infinity recipes.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He brought out his phone again, and brought up the song, playing it for her. -d-
Wrinkled Black: For all their talk of old farts, that didn't mean Adrienne wasn't above a little game of footsie. With her legs crossed under the table, one of the kitty heels were left on the floor while she rubbed her foot against Alex's calf. Blame Dion and the Belmonts.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He quickly glanced down....... And grabbed his pack bringing it up, then shook his head and dropped it again. " Nope they are at home. " -d-
model millenial: "Oh god," she shook her head. "That is absolutely insufferable," she snickered and shook her head again. The Egg Song would not be making it onto her iPod. Take Adrienne's advice, she flagged down a server and ordered herself a: bacon cheeseburger and fries.
Alex Vipond: Alex smiled as he looked back at Adrienne, one hand reaching for his chocolate shake. He chased his straw a bit and then finally caught it without shoving it up his nose or in his eye, since he wasn't paying as much attention to the task at hand as he was to Adrienne.
Wrinkled Black: "And yet..kinda catchy.." In reference to the egg song. She had to look away from Alex because his chasing his straw was about to crack her up. "So did you find any winners with those recipes?"
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " I have yet to get to sample any of this food you are making... " -d-
model millenial: "I saw a recipe for a gyro omlettle that looked amazing," to Adrienne with a grin. "Were you there the night I brought breakfast cupcakes to the Gator?" not quite remembering. Ki got a shrug. "Sorry, you're never around at the right times!"
Wrinkled Black: Her eyes widened at that. "Breakfast cupcakes? I most certainly was not!"
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " Well this has to be put to a stop. There should not be any food but food ki tests out first. " -d-
model millenial: She snickered at Adrienne's reaction. "Well I'll make you both your own personal batch, how's that?" she suggested with a smile. "The 'batter' " and yes she did the air quotes. "Is eggs and potatoes, with bacon and cheese and stuffon top. You can mix up the ingredients just like an omlette, too. So you can throw in peppers, onions, whatever. Everyone's had nice things to say about them so far." Wrinkled Black: At least Adrienne had the decency to wait until her mouth was empty before letting her jaw drop. "Oh my God, that sounds amazing..."
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " Okay I will try some of those. " He nodded. " Why all the breakfast foodish stuff?" -d-
model millenial: "I'll bring a batch next time I go to work," she said with a snicker to Adrienne's response. Gaze went to Ki then and she smiled. "Callie and Alex are letting me help them come up with a menu for this bed and breakfast they're opening."
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Oh what's the place going to be callie? Gator nap?.. Later Gator? Gator and a Orange Juice?" -d-
Wrinkled Black: She had her mouth full with burger again, but she pointed to Ki for the Later Gator, that was cute.
model millenial: "I'm not sure actually. Calle mentioned one she was leaning towards but I honestly can't remember what it was." Guilty little smile. Finally her burger was served and Maisie tore right in.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He sat there and looked from one to the next... " So.... " -d-
Wrinkled Black: "I can imagine. Six hours, huh? That's pretty impressive." Don't mind her little grin there.
model millenial: "Did you guys know a buttload is an actual unit of measurement?" she offered to keep the silence at bay.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: " I do not need to know how.. " -d-
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne laughed, nodding. "I feel like I read that somewhere recently, but I'm trying to remember the origin."
model millenial: "I dunno about the origin but it's like a hundred and twenty gallons of wine or something like that," she offered with a shrug and munched down a few fries. "What don't you need to know how?" to Ki, all curious.
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He just gave Maisie an odd look... then asked. " Any of you believe in mermaids?" -d-
Wrinkled Black: "Oh yeah, an alcohol measurement." She nodded. "I think I saw it on one of those some e-cards.." Ki's question had her tipping her head slightly in thought. "I do. In fact, I feel like I might know one."
model millenial: "After working at the Gator I'm ready to believe there's just about everything out there. Unicorns, chupacabras, lizard people..." nodded and went back to her burger, already mostly gone.
Wrinkled Black: "Not to mention plenty of things you've probably never even heard of."
Alex Vipond: Alex had to feed the juke again and when he came back, he slipped his arm around Adrienne. "What's a hundred and twenty gallons of wine?"
Wrinkled Black: "A buttload." She grinned up at him, kissing his cheek.
Alex Vipond: "And sailors have been lured to their deaths for centuries supposedly by mermaids and sirens." He shrugged. "I don't discount anything, simply because there's been no definitive proof published."
model millenial: "Did you meet a mermaid, Ki?" her eyebrow shot up curiously. "Did she have red hair and a sea shell bra?"
Alex Vipond: "And thank you, by the way, Maisie, I'm glad you liked the show. Sorry I was distracted by food and woman when you mentioned it." Back to the mermaid convo. "If she didn't pull a dingle hopper on you, be thankful."
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne blinked innocently. "What'd I do?" Riiiight. Says the womman who was still playing footsie under the table.
Alex Vipond: Alex wiggled his brows at her, then popped a kiss to her cheek.
model millenial: She waved a hand. "No problem. My wicked step mother forgot about me all the time," said with a sly grin. She ate a few more fries, watching Adrienne and Alex curiously.
Wrinkled Black: She swayed a little with the kiss, grinning, then snickered. "Way to go, babe." She winked at him, but was reaching across the table to pat Maisie's hand reassuringly.
Alex Vipond: "OH!" He grinned at Maisie. "Guess what I felt tonight?" He paused, scowled, and then shook his head. "No... The baby! I felt the baby move!"
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He binked and yawned.. " I thik I better be headed home is what I should be doing... Just about fell asleep sitting here.. been a long day. " He rubbed his eyes. He looked over at Adrienne.. " The baby moved?" -d-
Alex Vipond: "Yeah he got a condo across town..."
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: blink, blink.. " Huh?" -d-
Alex Vipond: "He's been moving, but we've just now been able to feel him move."
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne smiled, nodding. "He really likes music, apparently." Yup, her elbow went into Alex's ribcage. "It's just a little movement."
model millenial: "Oh it's no big deal," and waved her hand again. Alex got a stare, and Maisie was certain she didn't want to know what Alex had felt, but he clarified and she beamed. "Oh that must have been so cool."
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: "Why does it need a condo? Its got a womb with a view. " -d-
Alex Vipond: "He was waving at me in the ultrasound. He's got a nine month lease on that one, and he's three months into it."
Wrinkled Black: "Ten and four, actually." Snickerfit.
model millenial: "Boo!" french fry thrown at Ki. "Puns. Boo." Another french fry thrown.
Alex Vipond: "The math on these things have changed since my little sister was born."
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne laughed, shaking her head. "It's supposed to be forty weeks gestation, and I'm almost at week seventeen. Most women just don't realize it that first month, so it seems more like nine."
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He got pelted with a fry... and got to his feet grabbing his board and pack. " Well it was nice seeing you all but I need Sleeep haven't seen bed since five this morning. " He got up and twisted his torso left and right. -d-
Alex Vipond: "That make sense." Alex nodded. "Be careful Ki. Sure you don't want to catch a Lyft or uber?"
Wrinkled Black: "Ouch, yeah, that's a long day." She smiled up at Ki. "Text one of us when you get home, yeah?"
Wile E Ki Yo Tea: He patted his board. " I am good, unless I fall asleep and run into something. " He grinned and headed to the door. " Will do, night Maisie, night old folks. " He waved and headed out, taking three steps then throwing down the skate board, and hopping up on it. -d-
Alex Vipond: "Night Ki...." he called after him and then looked back at Adrienne. "I hope he doesn't fall asleep on his board..." he paused and looked between the girls. "Why is he on his board and not his bike?"
model millenial: She gave Ki a wave as he left and looked back to the others, shrugging at Alex's question. "When are you due, Adrienne? I realized I had no idea the other night."
Wrinkled Black: She shrugged in response to Alex's question. "Maybe he was out at a skate park earlier?" Looking to Maisie, she smiled. "First week of February, give or take two weeks. They never really can pinpoint due dates accurately."
model millenial: "His birthday will be close to mine." Big grin. "Mine's at the end of January."
Wrinkled Black: "Oh cool! When's the date?" A glance down to her belly was made, giving it a light pat. "Listen up, Peanut..."
Alex Vipond: Alex chuckled and yes, he looked down at Adrienne's belly. It was habit. "Just wait until we have the headphones on his baby condo."
Wrinkled Black: "Ooo, yeah, we've got to give those a try still." Hell, the kid moved around like crazy lately when there was loud music playing. She could only imagine how nuts he'll go when he's getting a private concert.
model millenial: "The twenty-third," snickered when Adrienne yelled down at her belly. "Although my next is my twenty-first, and I want to get like... stupid blackout drunk," firm nod. "So all hands on deck to babysit Crazy Maisie. He can totally take the twenty-fourth."
Alex Vipond: "Well we'll have to throw a party for you and make sure you're wrapped in bubble wrap before the night is out." He nodded.
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne laughed. "Guess I'll be the DD if we go multiple places then, huh?" Weren't they just talking about how she missed getting drunk? "You're a bit of a killjoy, kiddo.." Muttered to the Peanut.
Alex Vipond: "Or have it at the house. That way no one needs to go anywhere. "Unless the Peanut decides he wants to join the party, then we gotta call the doc."
model millenial: "Don't forget a helmet," grinned to Alex. Adrienne got a frown though. "Don't worry, you'll be back on the bar stool someday," she assured with a nod. "It's awhile off. I'll have to think up some awesome idea," she yawned and reached into her bag to find her wallet. "I'm calling it a night, though. You two look like you need to seek privacy anyway," she gave them a wink and slid out of the booth. Hugs to each, with Adrienne getting a smooch to the cheek. "Night you two."
Alex Vipond: Alex returned the hug and smiled. "Have a good night, Maisie."
Wrinkled Black: Chuckling, she leaned a little across Alex to return the hug. "Take care, hon. And you're not excluded from the text rule, by the way." Adrienne was such a mom.
model millenial: "I'll even take a selfie next to the clock so you know it's not an impostor," teased Adrienne with a wink. Out the door, into her car, and Maisie was off!
Alex Vipond: "Well when people decide to leave, they do not let moss grow under their feet..." he chuckled.
Wrinkled Black: She sighed overdramatically, slumping a little in the booth. "What can I say? They're intimidated by our awesomeness."
Alex Vipond: "I think you're right." Alex chuckled and kissed her brow. "I had a blast tonight, Baby." He smiled, his arm slipping around her and drawing her against his side.
Wrinkled Black: "So did I. We really need to do this more often." Grinning, her fingers trailed up his chest. Did he really think he would be able to wear a tie around her and not expect to get reeled in by it? Good thing she couldn't reach his suspenders from this angle. Pulling him in, she pressed her lips to his. A night of dinner and dancing just wasn't complete if they didn't make out like teenagers in a 50's style diner booth, right? Sure.
Alex Vipond: His arm around her tightened, drawing her closer, his other hand lifting to cup her face as he kissed her, lips parting, tongue teasing. And nope, no fucks were given that they were in view of everyone and likely giving the bus boy an education.
Wrinkled Black: None whatsoever. At least they had the good sense to wait until Ki was gone. Poor kid would've been squirming in his seat or yelling at them. Her grip on his tie tightened as she pulled his tongue into her mouth, but said bus boy's picking up Maisie's plate startled her and she pulled back just enough, chuckling and muttering against his lips. "Do you have any idea how much I want to just drag you into the bathroom right now?"
Alex Vipond: "Trust me, I know." And it showed. He dragged a hand through his hair and looked around, then back at her, one brow rising in that ya'an'to? way. "Or we could just go home." He could go either way. The place was all but dead at this point. The bars hadn't completely emptied out so the after hour rush hadn't started, and with the exception of the driver who had planted himself at the counter at some point, they pretty much had the place to themselves.
Wrinkled Black: Biting her bottom lip in that faux-innocent way, her hand slid into his lap to test just how well he knew. "Think you can hold out that long?" Hard to tell (no pun intended) if that was a sincere question or a challenge.
Alex Vipond: Oh, he was ... fully, aware. He cleared his throat as her hand settled into his lap to investigate the situation. "Keep that up and it may be more difficult to get out of the booth than I can deal with."
Wrinkled Black: That clearing of his throat had her grinning, any innocence, real or otherwise, out the window. "More difficult? Sure it wouldn't be...harder?" Cruel, thy name is Adrienne.
Alex Vipond: "Trust me. It is." he kissed her again and slid from the booth, one hand sliding into his pocket to adjust himself. Thank God for the loose pants of the thirties. He leaned across Adrienne, watching her with a smirk tugging at his lips as he picked up his hat and suit coat. The hat he put on his head, rolling it up his arm before planting it, and the jacket he hooked with a finger, over his shoulder. He slid his hand back into his pocket and pulled his cash, peeling bills out with his thumb and dropping them to the table, before putting the rest back. His hand was then offered to Adrienne.
Wrinkled Black: Adrienne grinned as she watched him, picking up her cardigan and kitty purse, fanning herself with the latter as he showed off. "Hot damn, I need to get you home before anyone else tries to take you away from me." Chuckling, she took his hand and his help out of the booth, then curled her hand over his arm.
Alex Vipond: Chuckling, Alex followed the driver out, who held the door for them, and then opened the car door for them. Alex handed Adrienne into the car and then settled in behind her, his arm once more going around her.
Wrinkled Black: With the car as open as it was, she pulled on her sweater before climbing in, and once settled she leaned into him, her forehead resting lightly against his jaw. "Thank you for tonight, Alex."
Alex Vipond: "Thank you." he kissed her temple, and then settled his suit coat over her, tucking it in around her. "I want this car...." He chuckled. "It's awesome!"
Wrinkled Black: That had her laughing, burying her face in his shoulder. "And just where would you put it?" It was a valid question!
Alex Vipond: Alex cracked up and shook his head. "We'll just have to buy another house...." He leaned in and kissed her, holding her close at his side to keep the chill off of her. "Maybe we should just ... by a garage. You know like one of those used by people like Jay Leno and shit." He held his hands out wide. "Industrial size garage."
Wrinkled Black: "Maybe we could extend the garage by building out the basement over the basketball cou--oh my God why am I giving you ideas?!" She groaned, shaking her head.
Alex Vipond: "I think we just need to redefine the area around the pool." He paused. "Or maybe just get rid of the pool. I mean, it's not like we really use it. Mars throwing me in was the first time I've been in it .... in probably a year."
Wrinkled Black: She opened her mouth to protest, but then thought about it. It was rarely hot enough to really warrant a pool, and when it was, they weren't that far from the beach. "I can't believe I'm going to say this, but....that's not a horrible idea.."
Alex Vipond: "We can park the Tesla and the Jag in the attached and put the rest in the detached. Maybe even have a work area in there for the hobby stuff." He nodded as the driver made their way back to the Broadmoor. "Yeah, I think that's a plan."
Wrinkled Black: "There you go. I'm just very glad that our bedroom is on the other side of the house." Said with a very deliberate pat to her belly. If that construction wakes up during a much needed nap, Adrienne might kill someone. Just sayin'.
Alex Vipond: Chuckling, Alex rested his hand over her belly to see if the Peanut was awake and ready to boogie. "Think he's asleep?" And yes, for some stupid reason, he whispered.
Wrinkled Black: Not stupid, precious. She chuckled as she watched his hand, nodding. "I think he is. Here's hoping he stays that way for the night." She grinned and leaned up to press a kiss to his lips.
Alex Vipond: The kiss was returned, his hand slipping into her hair, cupping the back of her head. His tongue explored her mouth languidly, and Alex was oblivious to the traffic around them, to everything... until the driver cleared his throat and announced that they were home.
Wrinkled Black: That poor driver. Hopefully he didn't hear her moaning from the back seat because of the wind and the sound of the road. When he cleared his throat, Adrienne grinned against Alex's lips, gave him one more kiss; then pulled back to whisper. "Why don't you adjust yourself, settle everything with the driver, and then meet me upstairs?" One more kiss given for good measure, "Sooner, rather than later." She winked before sliding out of the car when the driver opened the door for them, thanking him and wishing him a good night, before she sashayed her ass into the house, giving that dress a little swish.
Alex Vipond: "I like that plan." he nodded, adjusted as was necessary and then slid out after her and yes, he was watching her ass as she headed into the house. Alex grinned and looked at the driver, "Thank you for a wonderful evening." Alex gave him a hand shake and one hell of a tip, and then slung his jacket over his shoulder by a fingertip once more as he headed into the house, whistling lightly and yes, he even took the steps up to the gate, with a Fred Astaire dance in his step.
